Bay Area Design and Construction did an amazing job remodeling our house – for once, I actually enjoyed working with a contractor. The job was big - four bathrooms, kitchen, two fireplaces in family and living rooms, floors, tons of plumbing and electrical, all paint and just about everything else.To me, what sets Bay Area Design and Construction apart is quality of work – their guys are not just contractors – the are true craftsman! The quality of tile and stonework, carpentry, floors, paint and everything else was impeccable – everyone who saw what they had done mentioned that’s the best job anyone ever saw – just look at the pictures!What I especially liked about Payman (the owner) is that he honestly wanted to do the right thing and make us happy. As with any large project, we had hiccups – we changed our minds here and there, some things needed tweaking, scheduling was difficult to manage because of the COVID and supply chain – Payman and the team handled that with utmost professionalism and ease. I would absolutely use them again!

We did a remodel with Bay Area Design and Construction and were so pleased with the work they did and the service they provided! From the start, Payman and his team were extremely organized, giving us all the information and guidance we needed on preparing and sourcing the finished materials. Once we got started, the team worked quickly and efficiently and kept things on track. We had a very strict deadline to be back in the house, and the team worked with us to ensure that it was met on time. The weekly meetings with the team to walk through changes that week, next steps, and any questions we had were so valuable and appreciated - it made us feel like we were in the loop at every step of the way! We were thrilled with how the work came out - very high quality. All of the specialists they brought in were top notch and great to work with. We will absolutely be coming back to Bay Area Design and Construction for our future projects!

It was the second time that we worked with Payman, however; this time our remodel was a major almost to the point of rebuilding our house. Payman is a reliable and trusted contractor and you can have peace in mind that you work will be done with the highest quality and no cutting corners. Paymans attention to details is superb. We had a few situations that we couldnt think of a solution and Payman came up with the solutions that were not only practical but also very nice regarding the finishes. Paymans crew are very cordial and knowledgeable and again very trusted. His main key people are experts in what they are doing. If we come up with another project, we dont look anywhere else and go straight to Payman and Bay area design and construction. Thank you Payman and team for giving us our dream home.

We decided to remodel our downstairs bathroom to accommodate our needs as we get older. We engaged Bay Area Design and Construction based on a colleagues recommendation. It proved to be an excellent decision.Payman is a respectful, knowledgeable, and extremely conscientious general contractor. His experience helped us iron out our original ideas into a functional and very attractive finished product. Both he and his project foreman were readily available and promptly responded to any questions we had. The crew was friendly, punctual, efficient and highly skilled. Payman and his team did an amazing job for our whole home renovation and addition. He and his team worked very closely with us on every detail from design, project planning, building, materials and finishes. They were always very responsive and maintained open lines of communication to ensure we were happy with each decision and step of the project. The main strength of him and his team was their ability to stay on-schedule and complete the project when promised. Just make sure you are able to decide on your materials/finishes when necessary so you dont become the gating item on the project schedule! :)Highly recommend Payman and his team for home renovation projects.

Payman and his team did a remarkable job with our kitchen and bathroom remodel. After our initial consultation with Payman, we knew we wanted to work with him on this project. Payman is responsive, meticulous, and solution/customer-oriented, and working with him gives me such peace of mind through what is typically an anxiety-inducing process. Each member of his team and his recommended partners were also great and worked extremely hard to deliver our remodeled house back to us 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Before this project, we had no experience with rebuilding/remodeling. We interviewed many contractors before going with Payman and the Bay Area Design and Construction team. Payman met us multiple times to answer our questions about the project. We did not feel rushed to get into a contract with Payman during this time. He provided honest and upfront answers to set our expectations right. Payman walked us through the whole process with extreme patience. We could not have done this without his guidance before and throughout the project.Once we started, Payman and his team were organized and efficient in keeping the project on track, despite issues with material sourcing during the pandemic. During our weekly meetings, Payman would discuss the progress, list any problems that came up and provide options for workarounds or fixes as needed. Payman is always reachable to answer any questions outside of the weekly meetings. Payman has good connections with various vendors for finish materials. He extended his contractor discounts whenever possible, allowing us to select premium finishes.We were out of the country for about three months during the project. Payman made sure he had everything from us before we left. He made sure the work did not stop while we were away. Payman would get on a video call to provide updates on our project while we were away.After project completion and moving, Payman provided continued support in fixing possible problems.I feel fortunate to have found Payman and the team. Our experience has been above and beyond what one expects from a contractor or a construction company.

Payman and team are fantastic. We hired Bay Area Design to build a substantial driveway, gate, and entryway, and the result was more than we hoped for. We get compliments from all who pass by. The team is professional, organized, on time, personable, detailed oriented, and a pleasure to work with. Coordination with (my own) outside contractors was seamless, even when some of them were challenging. Change orders were fair, and billing was organized. There were no surprises whatsoever. Im in property management, and have done a lot of construction. I chose Bay Area Design for my own home, and could not be more pleased.

We cannot thank Payman and his team at Bay Area Design & Construction enough for an outstanding remodel job on our house. His team brought our dreams to reality. He took a Cape Code style home and transformed it into a beautiful transitional/modern home. We are so happy with the remodel.Payman is trust worthy and fair with his quotes. During our remodel process Payman and his team established weekly meetings to help us understand progress and next steps. This really helped us plan and procure materials during the 2021 supply chain issues. Our remodel included expanding and remodeling of our kitchen, adding a new bathroom, remodeling an existing bathroom, new floors, new staircase, trims, doors and windows. He also completed our remodel well before the expected date. Cant thank Payman and his team enough.

Adding another 5-Star review for Payman and Bay Area Design & Construction. We did a demo and rebuild of our house, and Payman and his team did an amazing job throughout the entirety of the project.We interviewed a lot of contractors before we decided to go with Payman. A few things which set him apart from the other contractors we talked to were 1) How honest and upfront he was about the details of the construction, possible issues and cost overruns (There were other contractors whose pricing changed as we got deeper into the details of various finishes covered by the contract). 2) The quality and attention to detail he had in his past projects (we were able to see the houses for one of his previous clients, and another new construction he was selling).As the project started, Payman was really efficient at managing the project and communicating the details and deadlines. We had a weekly meeting with him to discuss progress, any issues which came up and also a list of decisions he needed from us to make sure the project stayed on track. He is also always reachable and available to answer any questions. His crew was also always professional and courteous and Payman made sure he dealt with the subcontractors so we didnt have to worry about dealing with multiple people. He has good connections and recommendations for various vendors which helped us select a lot of premium finishes at a discount.One example of how he is different from most contractors was this - during the construction, there was an issue with the tile work in one of the the bathrooms which we didnt notice until the entire bathroom was done. Payman actually pointed out the issue, acknowledged it was an error by one of his guys and redid the entire bathroom ( including paying for the new tiles without us asking! )After the house was done and we moved in, Payman was always responsive and quick in resolving any issues which came up - There are always some kinks to be fixed in a new construction and he went above and beyond at times when he wasnt really required to.I will highly recommend Payman and his team and if we ever did another construction or remodel project, we would go with him again!!

We hired Bay Area Design to do a complete interior gut and remodel for my parents home. Payman and his team are pleasant to work with it and take the time to understand the customers point of view. More importantly they work with you to offer solutions when at a crossroad. The team also makes every effort to stay within the timeline of the project. His team shows up on time and are easy to communicate with. Because of the ease in working with Bay Area Design, we hired them for a second project that involved our home. This project included sanding-painting kitchen cabinets, fireplace and staircase, painting walls and installation of wood floors. We definitely recommend Bay Area Design & Construction.

Payman has completed a handful of projects on various properties for us, mostly kitchen and bathroom remodels. He and his team do a great job and are easy to work with. Payman is very responsive-answers texts and calls quickly, always on time to meetings and even keel. When problems arise as they do in construction, he stays calm and says “no problem” and it is no problem for the homeowner. Payman handles everything on his end so that the homeowner doesn’t have to worry about anything. He does a weekly walk through and his focus in on making sure I’m happy with the progress and that things are going smoothly. He has a great attitude and genuinely wants to know if there are any areas that his team could improve on.Salvador is much more that a carpenter, has been with the company for 15+ years and can seemingly do anything. His work is impressive and he tends to the smallest detail to make sure the homeowner is happy. Emanuel does fantastic tile work and is so focused that I never see him take a break. Jesus, the young man that did the painting was also very conscientious. On our most recent project, I let him know that he didn’t have to paint the bathroom door as we were planning on replacing all the interior doors at some point. It looked terrible so he painted it anyway and did a beautiful job. I’m so happy he did because it looks so good that I can take my time replacing it. Allan, the newest addition to the office, is responsive and focused on continually improving their service and keeping the customer happy.When your focus is on doing quality work and making sure the homeowner is happy, everything else seems to fall into place.

We had hired Bay Area Design back in Fall 2014 for a major interior remodeling project for our newly purchased house in San Jose. This involved everything from painting, hard-wood/tile flooring to kitchen plus bathroom remodel, etc. The entire project was actually completed slightly ahead of schedule. Four years later, we are more than happy with everything that was done. In fact, we hired them again last month to complete our kitchen backsplash, something we had decided not to do earlier. Once again, the end result was beautiful and everything was done as scheduled.

Payman and his company is an absolute unicorn in the construction world. Bay Area Design & Construction just completed converting my lower level into an ADU. It was a small project by their standards, but they paid as much attention to my project as they would to a larger one. Payman cares about the details and wants to do the job right. Hes also very good at lining up the work, there was barely a day when something wasnt getting done, and we finished two weeks ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend them and would hire them again!
