It was hard to find an employee but when I did, he was extremely helpful. I hate to make people drop what they are doing, but he did. He found the exact books I was looking for and we had a great discussion about the series. I absolutely loved this location. Great job!!!!

Easy to get to at parking close by me being handicapped it helps. When I was inside it was clean well-organized very polite staff. Went and got the vegan mob cookbook. And it was fine which was a plus. Went to go pay for the book and it was hard for me to stand so the guy gave me a stool to sit on while I was paying for my vegan mob cookbook. They have a lot of yummy recipes in there. So I give this place five stars for sure.

Customer service are there are there when there when you ask for it. However you have to ask for it though they are kind when you ask. And the food is amazing. The only downside is once you walk out you feel a draft from the Bay Area even in the summer time but otherwise this place is great two floors and great customer service. First five stars for me and its worth it.

I love coming here by myself and just browsing through all the sections of books. Its always quit, always clean, and there is always someone ready to help. There is also a coffee shop inside which is nice. The kid section is great, I love seeing kids excited to get books. Most importantly, this place has a bathroom downstairs.

This was a spacious room with a splendid view of the airport and the Bay. One could see the distant skyline of San Francisco and also of Oakland across the water. The highlight, of course, is watching flights take off and land from SFO, sometimes in parallel. This is a hotel that offers convenient access to the airport, just minutes away. The room was neat, and the amenities were up to the high standards of Hilton. Good, actually, great value for money.

Two levels of books, toys, puzzles, magazines, and a variety of paraphernalia. We spent quite a bit of time browsing the different areas and literature. Book displays were interesting and brought back great memories, as well new reads to add to our list. Located inside a mall area with easy access. Worth a long visit.

This is by far one of the most rudest Starbucks I go to. I can stand there for up to 5 to 9 minutes without anybody greeting me and ignoring me. And they look over their shoulders to see me there and still won’t acknowledge me. 4 employees all making drinks? Not even a “hello” or “hi” and I want to say this only happened once but it’s happened at least four times since I’ve been there. Literally every time I think it’s going to be different they just do the exact same thing all over again. No wonder they give coupons to go over there, cause it’s not the service people want.

Convenient and had the book I wanted in stock. I purchased here because my teenage nephew prefers it to shopping at Amazon. Only thing, bag or wrap should be complimentary considering. Clerk showed me this tiny bag with B&N logo and asked me if I had a quarter. I declined. Also, book cost $1 plus more than at Amazon. Store was almost empty of patrons. It was almost 4pm on a Friday. Dont think this store will survive, although it was fun to take the children when they were little.

As the last Barnes And Noble in my area, its still a nice store and everything is fairly easy to find. The store looks nice, too. I came there to find a calendar for the new year. The selection was okay. I got what I wanted and checked out at the cafe so I could get a drink, too and use my membership card.

Nice cool place to look for a book or just to browse the store. They have PLENTY of everything. And something for everyones liking! There is a cafe Starbucks indoors with plenty of table seating. Not too much seating out in the book area though. Bottom floor has a whole world with the toddler kept in mind, from story telling to a play area, books and fun things to do to keep them busy!! Very very nice and reasonably priced.

Enjoy it while it lasts - they will be tearing out the mall relatively soon. Its a pretty average Barnes & Noble, maybe a little on the smaller side. Fiction upstairs, manga along the right-hand wall. Movies and music through the security gate to the left, past the check stands. Cafe at the back. Board games, novelties, childrens section, and the nonfiction selection downstairs.

This is one of the last big bookstores, other than smaller Mom & Pop stores. We are very fortunate to have it still around, so lets support our local stores and keep them open. Nothing like the feel of a real book in your hands and its great to wile away the hours perusing the 1000s of books, Theres something for everyone... toys, music dvds & albums, wedding planners, puzzles & games. And they have a couple of big bargain sections as well. The choices are limitless... and theres a Barnes & Noble cafe with Starbucks coffee choices, cheesecake, huge cookies, and so many other drink & food options. Very friendly and helpful staff! I dont order books from Amazon, because Id rather put my money here and help keep them around! Lots of parking because they are at a mall too!

It took an insanely long time for them to realize the last book on my list had been returned to the distributor... This is a large chain bookstore, of the few remaining in the peninsula. The staff are friendly and willing to help you find a book. Join the free Kids Club for $5 off coupon and a free birthday treat at the cafe. You can also for a fee, join the B&N member rewards, 10% off everything in the store. There are plenty of low content books, like coloring books, activity books, gift books, as well as a large childrens section downstairs with educational supplement books, puzzles, games and toys galore! The man that is in charge of the Childrens Books is a great guy! We exchanged a book that supposed to have mini figurines in it, because someone stole them. He helped us out and found the same exact book with the toys in it. He was a life saver, because our daughter who has Autism was very upset the book she selected on our outing didnt have the toys. She was ecstatic when we we surprised her with a complete book with three mini figurines.

Im so glad theres a Barnes & Noble, besides the thousand and one cellphone and athletic shoes stores in the mall! Its a peaceful and relaxing place to browse books or sit and relax with a cup of coffee. My only small complaint is the stores temperature which I find to be extremely HOT! I read another review saying that the AC was blasting on a hot day, so perhaps the mechanisms that control the stores temperature needs to be look at. Overall thought I lenjoy the store a great deal.

One of the better options for music and movies and books in the Peninsula. They have a decent vinyl selection and great prices on cds that are shocking at times. Its a must to stop in if I am in the area. The Starbucks is not a real Starbucks, somehow? Get your membership card, its worth the 25 dollars per year if you sign up. Online and in store discounts plus shipping being paid on some online buys adds up to 25 bucks in one or two purchased online visits for me. Security is a handled by a wonderful man, gentleman is he, and a hello and goodbye for all that shop the store.

This Barnes and Noble is one of the anchor stores at Tanforan mall, and has been a fixture here for years. Even with the decline of brick and mortar book stores, they are still a nice place to go and explore whats available. They have a decent selection and the staff is nice. The trouble is that they are perpetually understaffed, and dont have many of the old hand staff that really knew books. The folks that remain are nice, and try and help, but there are too few of them.The little Starbucks is a nice touch and a place to chill with a coffee and a book. Minus the people who perch with a laptop for a few hours to glom power and free WiFi at one of the few tables.One dim spot is the restrooms, which are always a little gross. I chalk that up to a lack of staff to take care of those chores.Still, it is a nice place to chill and look for books.

This Barnes and Noble is one of the few bookstores left in the area. It is kept fairly clean and has a Starbucks cafe inside if you want a cup of coffee along with your reading. Downstairs has a section for kids. In addition they still sell vinyls if thats your thing.

Used to go here a lot and Starbucks on my days off from work and read tons of books, magazines, drink coffee, listen to Metallica mp3s on my phone, and just deflate from the stress of my job back then. Ironically, I now live in another state and they have a Barnes & Noble 😂. It can get cold in there by the comic book section at the back because of the roof air conditioner, so bring a jacket . Ive been coming here for almost 10 years. Glad its still open. Sucked Borders Bookstore closed down at the Stonestown Mall and by Union Square. Good memories perusing, buying, reading, and drinking coffee at those places as well.

Unfortunately, B&N was not pet friendly to my leashed 10 lb mini poodle (some clerks were fine in past, applying policy apoears inconsistent, and there isnt a No Dogs sign on entrance either) which seems so behind the times! Hadnt read a book (out of free will) for several years before going here. I left with a handful of books, i have been spending lots of time reading since.Already close to be done with the first of 4 books in a series, im kinda sad that i. getting to end of it now.This bookstore has both a huge amount of books and a good amount of geeky merch plus a bunch of board games. If youre looking for academic books, they have those too.Theres also a little starbucks inside for when you realise that you have been there for 3 hours and need something to drink.The staff were all really nice and helpful.

I recently went to this store to return a book after calling to confirm that it was okay to do so. I was told yes but when I presented the book I was now denied as it was a textbook and policy restricts them from accepting them for return. I was instructed to mail it myself.The point here is that it wasn’t made clear and as a result I drove there for nothing. Amazon has no such problem with returns as I’ve experienced with BN.I can no longer use or trust BN to provide good service and definitely will inform others of this poor policy practice.

Like most large book stores these days it feels like it is on its way out: shelves are stocked mostly with best sellers or weird titles at economy prices. A pet peeve of mine is that for series they typically have only the most recent 1 or 2 titles. I know this seems petty, but it drives me to buy on-line where I can get all the titles at once; important when either starting on a series or giving a series as a gift. Staff is friendly, if you can find one.

Its really hard to find people to help. They should really allow customers the ability to search on a computer much like Borders did...I miss that place....anyway, its nice, organized but Id rather not drag the employee down the escalator to show me where a book is if I can search for it myself...

Aside from the 2 floors of books and magazines/ gifts/ music you will have a full service Starbucks with a pastry selection that puts the other Starbucks to absoulate shame. And the staff? Friendly and super efficient. Id give it 6 stars but 5 Is the limit.

This book store is ok, kinda decreased their magazine selection on import cars and guns, which is what originally made me a Barnes and Noble yearly member. Most likely be cancelling my membership by next year. Too many liberals make even reading material taboo. So sad because the bay area natives arent this way. Its all these people from other states flocking here to back up all these gun bans and car bans culture. Sigh~ Texas here I come!

Also I bout a record player and the sales person who rung me up 10 seconds prior, needed to check my receipt to verify that I had paid for it.
