Its fun coming to Barnes & Noble. The staff is welcoming and always greeting us. My son loves the childrens corner. He gets to look through so many books that it is difficult deciding on which one to buy him, so we end up buying more than what we originally planned. Books are awesome! But they have more than books here. We love checking out the board game section as well. They have so many!!! Repeat customers forever!

Hi. As members, we are proud to have a bookstore that has wonderful employees who are always available, knowledgeable and friendly.What surprised me was what I saw at the Chino Hills store.We are believers in Jesus and often head to the religion section. Between two shelves with religious books, was a small tables with book titles using the F word.Q. Why place it in the religion section?How about out in the center areas.We were shocked.It just was wrong.Thank you

Starbucks in store and its nice that theres bday treats through BN rewards. A large childrens section and boardgame and toy section as well. Always enjoy popping by with my kids to check out new books and games. Games are very competitively priced as well.

This location is huge. I do like the inventory and size at this location. Parking is adjacent, its in mall area so if your going just for this store it may be a distance away and not a simple in & out trip. Staff seems to be not as concerned about your presence as most other locations, in some instances its better to be ignored by the lack of quality staff, much better. For me size & inventory would bring me back.

The regular hot coffee at this Starbucks location inside Barnes & Noble in Chino Hills, southern California, tasted so light that made us feel as if drinking plain water. This was probably caused by the fact that the store staff did not replenish the machine with fresh coffee as often as required. As a result, coffee brewed from the machine was over-diluted. We feel that the store staff should have strictly followed the professional protocol for coffee-brewing so that customers are not shortchanged. In the meantime, the store supervisor should have sample-tasted the coffee made from the brewers from time to time to monitor and ensure quality. The substandard extra-lightness of Starbucks coffee (regular black coffee) at this Barnes & Noble location seems an ongoing issue that to this day remains unaddressed.

The worst customer service at the Starbucks, the brown spikey haired guy with that light beard gave us the worst attitude. All I really asked for was two large waters and with a horrible attitude refused to give it to us. Never in my life have I delt with that, I’ve gotten coffee here and water here many times for many years and never dealt with this kind of rudeness.

The kids and I love to visit the kid section, she enjoys reading a book on top of the small stage as if she has an audience. It is a great place to meet other young kids though it is just a wave or a smile from a tot, it is so precious. So nice to shop for toys there also and their restroom is clean.

Calm store. I know its cheaper to buy online, but there is something about being able to browse shelves of books that i enjoy much more. Great place to walk around and browse for books or toys for my kids and I. Staff is really nice and helpful. We visit Barnes and Noble about once a week. We alternate between this location and two other surrounding ones (Montclair and Rancho Cucamonga). Out of the three, this is probably at number one on the list. The store feels like it has a good selection

Massive shop compared to the ones Ive seen before, but their book department was fairly small. They had a lot of music and games and other stuff. Very friendly staff and nice and clean restrooms. I couldnt figure out their sorting system for the books so didnt find everything I was looking for. I had no problem finding the books in another b&n I went to recently.

I dont need to reiterate the importance of a bookstore. Reading is how we can become better. There is something special about wandering the aisles of a bookstore and discovering new books. Too many bookstores have closed because of the internet. Im glad to see there still is an honest to goodness bookstore still open in this world. The experience cannot be better. I thought the only library I would see for the rest of my life would be in Hogwarts in the movies. Please re open more bookstores. Our youth will benefit from it. We like to browse this store every couple weeks after eating at Urban Fish Taco. The employees are typical Barnes employees, very hipster/punk and not very concerned with customer service. The store tends to be overrun with teenagers who get dumped at this shopping center after school, but generally we have had a good experience here.

There are few book stores left to enjoy. So being able to walk into one was an amazing experience for me! The store set up was well organized accordingly by caterization. So it made it very convenient to find the type of books I was specifically looking for. The halloween layout for the little ones stood out and was quite eye catching!! Land up purchasing some holiday books as well for my little one. They also have some nice collections on the Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise!! Theres no greater feeling than to be able to physically touch the books with your own hands!! This store was amazing from cleanliness to organization to great satisfaction in the quality and quantity of their merchandise. If you love to read and want to inspire others too..than this is the place for you!!!

Lets just begin by saying Ive never been treated in such a horrible and almost racist manner.Background: I came in to order my father a drink, his name isnt the easiest to say, but thats besides the point...However, upon getting my order, the guy called a similar order of another customer, and instead of calling out mine thereafter, mine was literally put on the counter without calling out a name. I went to get the order after noticing my fathers name on the cup, and I wasnt given a straw. I went to give the drink to my dad, then went back to ask for a straw - the associate threw the straw at me, and said sorry in a joking manner. That is just not okay!

I always go to the cafe in bookstore and hang with my friend. They have a Starbucks menu which is a plus. Although they have there own menu, raisin, toffee, sugar, cookies, etc. Salted Toffee cookie is my favorite. And they give you a coupon for the next visit to buy one and get 50% off. The pizza 🍕 pepperoni and sausage is so good! I tried the breakfast sandwich with sausage is ok. Crossiant s are real good too. Overall the staff is nice at the cafe and its clean. Floor staff which interacted with me and my friend was nice, showing us more tarot cards, and same genre. He knows his customer service, I liked him because he had nice customer service and made us feel welcome. Very pleasant demeanor! I think I seen him in cafe too, very helpful.Great experience!❤️ this bookstore location.

This is one of my favorite Barnes & Noble stores. Every experience I have had with the employees has been nothing but the best. As most book lovers, I had purchased two books that I already had but forgot about. I didnt have the receipt for the purchase however, I had the gift card number that I had purchased the books with and I called the store to see if I would be able to exchange the books as it was within the 30 days or if there was any way they could help me. I spoke with Charity regarding my situation and she listened and provided me with a tailored experience. Charity was able to located my reciept in the system and confirm that I would be able to exchange the books and that they would have no issues in returning it. She gave me the directions on what to do when I came into the store as my receipt would be held with a manager. It was such a relief to know that I was able to exchange my books as well as know that she went one step further and told me what to do when I came in the store later that day.It was great because I told her the books I was hoping to get in place of the two I was returning and verified that they currently had the entire series in stock. It was nice to know that she went the extra mile to ensure my experience within the store would be a great one. Charity is one of the many great employees that Barnes & Noble Chino Hills has and I always have the best interactions with them. It is always nice to have an excellent customer service interaction and with another book lover.I appreciate this store so much and am so happy that we have it within our community.

One of the great placing to visit and relax...there is nothing like opening a book and immersing yourself into its pages. Barnes & Noble staff are so friendly and well informed of literature location...and if they dont have it they will order and have it within days. Its a typical Barnes and Noble. Nothing extraordinary about it - good or bad. They are well stocked and well staffed. The store itself was very clean. My only qualm with this location is that they need to pay better attention to their restrooms. It was a disaster! I know some might say its a bit unfair to judge a place on restroom cleanliness but for me its part of the store and part of the experience.

Barnes & Noble is an amazing place to grab a book and read. There are so many options and they are open late. There is a friendly kids section with plenty of books to pick from. There are so many new and old books to pick from and you can ask an employee to look up a book from another store. There is a Starbucks inside the Barnes & Noble for sitting and relaxing. The employees are very nice and there are plenty of help desks around.

Was very disappointed in the book selection. Looking for a good quilting book. nothing in the craft and hobby section. I did see a knitting and a crochet book. But even that selection was poor. Looked in the magazines but only the normal magazines I can find in the grocery store. This store seems to be geared more towards the children now days or maybe the run of the mill reader.

We went for the story time. I had my 2 year old with me. We were early so she had some time to be curious about the store and the stage area. She loved playing with the puppets and looking at a book or two on her own. She wanted to stay on the stage when the young lady reading the stories arrived. Then things took a turn for the worse for us because the lady brought cookie samples with her, and my daughter has allergies so I had to turn it down. My snacks I had were not interesting at that point, and we ended up leaving because she got fussy. I would recommend Barnes & Noble consider skipping the samples or stating they will offer them with the online information, given that parents tend to be aware of what and when their kids are eating, and unexpected treats can make or break a situation. Other than that, everything seemed fine. I think the activity was going to be coloring something.

Big location but they did switch things around. Went to the help desk because everything was different. I asked a big (both chubby and tall), blonde woman for some help and she just looked at me like if I wasnt not allowed to ask her questions. There were 3 associates by the help desk but she was the one actually behind the help desk counter which is why I just asked her. One of the other associates, named Bengy, was ready and leading me to my desired location since she wasnt. Bengy not only led me to the exact book I wanted but also made another recommendation of the book that came along with its sequel. Loved that customer service; friendly and super helpful. Coincidently, he also rang me up and he was excited and happy about my purchases which also made me more excited about taking them home.Wish there were more copies of their items because I was interested in taking other items home but they looked so beat up that I decided against it and I couldnt find another copy.

I usually stay in the kids section...just because they have benches there. But there are just so many books on the floor. Went in to this store for the Starbucks. I waited in line the proceeded to place my order. The cashier saw my app open for Starbucks and then told me they dont take Starbucks payment methods because its inside Barnes and Noble. So it would be nice for B&N would place signs at entrance. So people who are just enjoying the Shoppes and would like a Starbucks are aware. Because a lot of people use the Starbucks app earn free drinks. And when you have a pre-loaded app you are not going to pay with is a debit card.

Good place to either read interesting books or purchase if they have it, but they dont have good policies if not a paid member for price matching. I wanted to get a book they had in store, and I saw the online price was a lot cheaper than what the cover showed ($12 vs $19). So, I asked in check out if I could get the online price. They said since I wasnt a paying member, I needed to wait for in-store pickup. So, I decided to go with that and went to nearby grocery stores to do some shopping. After about 30 minutes, my order was done, and I went and picked it up without any further problems. The staff was very transparent about the whole situation and was very kind.

I had a terrible customer service experience at the Barnes & Noble Café this week. I had the displeasure of being served by Brianna S. She was flat out hostile while serving me and unprofessional. They café was empty at this time, approximately 4-5 pm, and she was slamming cups around, not asking about my drink and generally being unpleasant.I am not sure what the hiring standards are at this café, but Brianna is a perfect example of a terrible employee who needs to be retrained or simply replaced. Having a hostile and unprofessional attitude at work, especially when there arent any other customers, shows that this person is just unstable and unsuitable for customer service positions.Beware when you are being served by this angry young lady and remember to file a complaint if you encounter her hostility and unprofessionalism.

Now that Borders Bookstore is gone, Barnes & Noble was my next pick.I enjoy reading so obviously, this is a great place for us readers to purchase books. Their prices are usually decent if you arent in the mood for ordering online from Amazon and waiting for your book to show up in the mail.The one thing I loved about Borders was the business owner/student discount membership that gave 20% off of everything - even sale prices. I asked Barnes & Noble if they have this - they dont. Instead, they have a membership for $25/year that gives you an additional 10% off of their current prices - even sale prices. Most people will have to work out some math to see if the membership is worth it for them. For me, not yet.I do enjoy sitting in the cafe area and reading, although it can get loud at times since its not a reading-specific area of the store. Still, you cant beat a cup of tea and a great book.

Their website doesnt even work, they try to rob you by making your memberships fast shipping hard to reach. It didnt let me use my fast shipping with my membership so I signed out and back in and it said I had to renew my membership and then 10 minutes later it said it worked but actually didnt. I need a book for a class by next week. This is trash. My membership is up to date. I would rate them 0 out of 5 stars if I could. This has wasted 2 hours of my life. Its 12:00 AM I need to get up at 5:00 AM. I dont have time for their scams.

I love this place, usually I check the clearance rack and I find good deals on books and novels. Today was almost the first time that I had such a superb, yet funny experience when I met the amazing and smiley bookseller, Bengy A. !!. I used to love spending time here when I lived in Chino Hills. The tech section used to be bigger... Kinda sad to see it now. I suppose they didnt sell many, so they had to change, but... That was the place I spent most of my time and money.Tons of parking, yet it can still be packed and difficult to find a spot. The rear lot has more openings.

This Barnes and Noble is like an oasis--has been for a long, long time for us when we travel to Chino Hills, SoCal from Downtown New York City to see my parents, grandparents of our two NYC kids. It is very nice to have this place to mosey about in, grab a cup of coffee and gell out. We have all been very happy to have this place as a place where we can go and get a taste of our own hometown--as we live close to an amazing Barnes and Noble in Union Square, NYC!

So very thrilled to know in this day & age, where one can get anything online, there still exists a brick & mortar building. Such a tranquil, relaxing place. Its a huge contrast from the other places in The Shoppes but thats what makes it unique. B&N has a wide variety of books of all genres, even mangas and exam books. Theres also a café and kids section. The books can be pricy but the experience here is oh-so worth it.
