In my past, I dedicated a substantial amount of time, particularly during my 30s and 40s, to visiting bookstores. These visits often resulted in the acquisition of one or more books. However, the advent of Amazon has had a detrimental impact on the livelihoods of numerous bookstores. In particular, I feel a sense of nostalgia for Borders. Nevertheless, I am grateful that Barnes & Noble has been able to maintain its operations. There is an unparalleled joy in perusing a bookstore and discovering novel and captivating literature that piques my interest.

This is probably one of the most consistently clean and organized bookstores that I have ever visited. Over the years with different changes in management it has always stayed so easy to find the book that Im looking for. The staff during my visit today were very friendly and super helpful when I was looking for a vague idea of a book to give as a gift for a friend who has a very different interests than I do. LOL. If youre looking for the best Barnes and Noble in Sac, this is it.

I love Barnes & Noble for their great selection of books and friendly staff. I also found a cool silver dragon plush toy that looks awesome in my car. It’s soft, shiny, and has golden accents. Highly recommend!

My granddaughter insists we go to Barnes & Noble monthly to buy 3 + books. She can always find what she is looking for. Its the place where she knows she can ask for help if she doesnt see what she wants.

Barnes and Nobles continues to expand their non-book merchandise as it seemingly adds more and more. Particularly, aisles of toys seem to be growing, and their vinyl selection is expanding. Its great to have a place for those tangibly inclined. Prices are competitive.

This place is nice, staff isnt real great or helpful and I suggest they have more training. I was told that the book I was looking for... Was somewhere over in that direction. And then turned and walked away.

Nice store with a good selection. It’s unfortunate that the dude working tonight with long black hair and glasses was so rude.I was making a big purchase to build a play therapy kit. Dude tried to pressure me into signing up for the rewards program. When I passed he straight up raised his eyebrow at me and said “Alright.” in the most judgmental tone. Seems like a little thing, but I’ve had a rough day and that tiny interaction made it much worse.I really hope someone in management sees this and knows who I’m talking about so they can get that dude better training.

I like it.No complaints about staff.In some ways the 2 by both arden and Roseville mall have their own advantages....but iblike this one due to being in the middle of the 2.

They have a great selection of books. The store is quiet and clean. Its a very relaxing environment. I gave it four stars instead of five because of the staff. There was a women at the counter in the center of the store. She was scrolling on her cell phone. I asked her where I should check out. She didnt even lift her head up from her phone and said, Upfront. When I walked upfront, no one was at the register. I didnt have to wait too long before help came. The girl was very friendly but when I asked for a bag for my books, she said they had ran out, and that I could purchase a reusable bag.

The staff was friendly and the store is nice and big. I do not feel cramped being in here shopping or fear being stuck next to a person. Great selection of anime and manga items here.
