On the smaller side of the book stores across the country, this Barnes and Noble is at the end of a parking lot, nestled inbetween two AMC theaters. With a large parking lot and large signs, it is easy to access and find. The employees are very helpful and went out of their way to guide me to the books we were looking for. They also have a large magazine selection and planners.

My daughter and I love this place. Staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. Parking can be tough in the weekends. Price of books are pretty consistent. They have a bathroom in 5he bookstore.

Meh, this is an OKAY location if you need to pick up a general book. Not too many special/limited items here. Very small compared to the Del Amo location. The parking lot is large, but the spaces are not. They are designed for compact/toy cars. So something as what would seem “small” like a corolla will be hard to park without going over the line.

This store is quite small compared to most Barnes and Noble. It looked like a hole in the wall bookstore. There was nothing nice about it like a lot of other Barnes and Nobles I have been to. I was a little disappointed. I am glad my nieces enjoyed it which is why I gave it 3 stars. Some books I felt were out of place.

I enjoy Barnes and Noble. But, lets face it, there are too many discount online book sellers where you can buy your books. I always felt their discounts were weak. And, their classics selection is typical, nothing out of the ordinary. How many versions of Pride and Prejudice do we need. And, at what price? They do provide access to the newest published books. It is always fun to roam their stores.

I love B&N with my whole heart, dont get me wrong.But this location doesnt have great seating. Hey, sometimes I like to sit down and get a taste of what I might buy. But you cannot do that here. Standing room only.If youre coming here to browse and not sit, this B&N is for YOU!

First of all,Parking was no issue.Nice book store, helpful ladies behind the cash registers.Found 2 out of the 4 books I was looking for, better than nothing.The other two were order for me. That was cool.The only thing I notice that was kind of different was that on line the prices are a little less, but, there is a business trick used if you were to order on line. Ill let you figure it out. Not everything that shines is gold.Good old saying.And for sure, education pays off, Keep on reading the right books;)

So I took a video showing employee harassment but cant upload it unfortunately and these 2 stills were the best I could screenshot from the video showing the employee who was harassing me and following me everywhere when I had money, even pulled it out and counted it in front of her after I confronted her for harassing tf outta me and she just completely ignored me. and still followed me. given, the store WAS about to close but it was FULL of other customers yet she would not leave me alone so I had an anxiety attack and couldnt even purchase the book I went there for in the first place.I dont know who this employee is - as she would not tell me her name - so if anyone happens to know, please let me know so that I can call and make a formal complaint.

They have the largest Manga collection I ever expected to see. Overall, their book selection is very vast. I could get lost in there for hours checking out all they have.

Quiet, clean, and has kind employees. It has 2 floors. They do have a restroom, but its not a restroom with stalls. Very organized books. If youre looking for a place to sit and read its going to be a scavenger hunt for chairs. I managed to find 2 chairs throughout the entire store. Chances are theyre gonna be occupied.

Has latest New York best selling. Packed with many books and easy to locate what you are looking for. If you are a history lover, the upstairs is History books. Gift section, lots of Journals and planners. Easy to drive to. There is a large parking lot to park in which is a plus on my list. Other stores and restaurants within walking distance.

Good enough but this location is permanently closing so you wont find any new releases here, however; many books are 50% off and many others are at least 25% off so ... till they close, probably worth at least a look! This location has two stories. New titles are easy to find near the entry. The childrens section and bargain selection are on the second floor. The store is clean, well organized, and the staff are friendly. My only complaint is that the restroom was not operational. That can be a deal breaker for older shoppers, people with children and the disabled.

The staff was very helpful and friendly; both on the floor and register. This place is also wheelchair accessible. The entrance had double doors and one door was already open when we arrived which made it easy for us; wheelchair fit just fine through the one door.👍 They also have an elevator to access the second floor. We had an overall pleasant experience there.

This is a pretty decent standalone Barnes and Noble. It has a good selection of books, magazines, stationaries, and novelties that are good for gifts. There is a dedicated cafe area upstairs, but no escalators or elevator so it might be difficult to get up there if you are carrying a bunch of things. Also, it is very packed and can feel crowded very quickly.

And DSW is right there, too!UPDATE: SADLY I FOUND OUT TONIGHT THAT THIS LOCATION IS CLOSING! My understanding is we can look fwd to an apt building in its place. Thankfully, we wont be losing BnN in MDR, its moving to the spot next to West Marine, about 1/2 mile away.

Really great book store the stuff could be friendlier and more helpful. Having a bookstore in the neighborhood is a rarity. It’s a great thing that we have a local bookstore competing with the Internet which would make you think that the people who work here or try little harder to make a good customer experience. But all that aside there still a lot of really great quality books here in the selection and is define the books that you’re looking for make this place great.

Actually was really chill.... I have really bad social anxiety... And I am Trans to top it off I kinda saddly unfortunately stick out like a sore thumb.. and in general felt relatively comfortable in. Here wich was a relief 😮‍💨.. I still support stand alone stores. Excellent customer service. A get a feeling of camaraderie, and a discovery of whats new. Great selection of magazines by the way!!Though I could have ordered on line, and still did through the shop employee, for E O Wilsons book, Half Earth Our Planets Fight For Life, I enjoyed the experience of visiting and browsing. Karen was so helpful. She went above and beyond to help me find a special fairy book. It wasnt in the Torrance store, but she located it in the Marina Del Rey. She offered personal assistance to select great reading material while I embark on my new adventures with my new camping trailer. Th store itself is impeccably maintained and beautiful to look at and shop in.

Good selection, very poor service. I went in to the store and asked an older female associate to help me find a specific book after I looked on the shelf and couldn’t find it. She sighed, walked over, and when she couldn’t find it immediately said there was nothing she could do. I then asked another younger associate and she was much more helpful in the search, but when she checked the computer once more to see when it came in, was scolded by the older woman who snapped that she’d already helped us. It was 30m before closing so understand it being the end of the day, but left very frustrated at the lack of care and dedication that woman showed. Wouldn’t return for this reason.

I was looking for a very specific book online and offline. This store was the only one that had one in stock. Went there with plans to buy it if I like the contents. Mediocre contents no better than what I already knew. Surprised store price is quite higher than their own online price (not comparing to Amazon). All the costs to run an actual store are understandable, but Im afraid major portion of people will simply browse and go online for a cheaper price. Nothing really I can complain about. Staff were nice. Layout and vibe were top-notch. Its just sad internet is choking on everything.

Nice to see physical books before you buy them. Large showroom includes upstairs and downstairs. Prices are usually on the high end, but there are several tables of sale and clearance books. Not to many staff, so youll have to seek someone needs out if you need help.

This barnes and noble looks kinda shabby from the outside. Inside its definitely the barnes and nobles weve grown to know and love! A great selection of pretty much whatever book you need. A ton of great random gifts like games and nice journals. If your in the market for a journal their selection is far better than office depot, staples, Walmart, and target to boot. Only place you will likely do better on notebook/planner/journal finding quest is Amazon. But you cant feel the quality and compare it with others. Therefore, i highly recommend B&N if your in the market for a place to write. In addition, their customer service is outstanding! They have a helpful staff that gives me the impression that they genuinely care. Ive regularly gotten the sense that they truly care that you are satisfied with your experience. This shows a good work culture, and a company that must take care of their employees. They are typically a great deal happier than most places that Ive shopped. Making this a place that you are glad to frequent! Two thumbs up for this b&n. Absolutely a good store.

Only 4 stars because its the last location left on the Westside of LA. Parking is good here and there are a few other shops nearby to make this a decent trip. However I would suggest the Grove location in West Hollywood. The Barnes and Noble is much nicer.

This is a great bookstore. With two stories, it has a broad and deep selection. The staff is very helpful and friendly. If a book is not in stock, they will order it for you. Sometimes there is nothing better than browsing books to find the right one -- this is one a the few places left where you can do that.

This might be a lengthy review but I gotta share because the visit made myday. So....the other day after visiting a friend, I had sometime to kill and thought Id finally cash in some AMC movie passes Id been holding onto for a couple of years. I really wanted to see the new Bad Boys movie. Well after driving clear across town to arrive at one of the best theaters around, when I presented my pass the associate said...oh Im sorry we dont take those here anymore. A lil sad and disappointing, I sat for a minute in the lobby because traffic was just getn crazy which meant I would be stuck fora while. I glance out the window across the street and theres Barnes and Nobles. I didnt think there were anymore of these around. Barnes and Nobles for years across California would be the place i would turn off my phone and disappear for hours. When I arrived, I was greeted by one of the friendliest floor managers(I presume) of whom I shared that I hadnt been around to visit in years. She said ....well welcome back...were here if ya need anything.. I spent the next 3 hours reading a book dedicated to Prince memoirs, a Flash comic book novel and starring at a new Italian leather journal. By this time traffic had died down quite a bit and the moon was showing its face. Other than the guy that was sitting next to me cursing up a storm on the phone with a legal deal that had potentially gone wrong, the entire experience had me wanting to visit more often. The imaginative world of Books vs Cinematic motion pictures....humans are missing out. Thank God for Barnes and Nobles...especially this one. They have everything ya need to glance through and to be inspired on writing your own memoirs. I will be back for the Italian leather journal. I feel an inspiring new chapter in my life just waiting to explode onto some new pages. Gratitude to the authors, publishers, and teams behind books...you really cant put a price on the imagination of story telling and information. My 300+ book library says it all: Take my money!

Purchased a reading Nook it froze, tried calling for help to no avail, drove to store,no problem with mask on face they took my tablet and called their tech contacts and it took them over 10 minutes for an answer was informed to take a paper clip and find the ity bit hole stick the paper clip in there to REBOOT The NOOK. Fantastic it worked I was given the paperclip for free since I didnt have any at home. Brought a book!

Amazon wins again, these bookstores will be out of business within a couple months.We stood in line to get in, when I assume it was a manager that came out and she was extremely rude! She informed us even though they had two stories that she would only allow 12 people in at a time. There was three of us about 11 people back in line and the gentleman that was next in was with his daughter and he was told he would have to separate.

Good service, needed to get a simple dummies guide or simple guide to iPhone 8 - told at staples just make sure book is at r12 that ios was at and it should be ok, uncle needed more than Apple 2 sheet in very small print instructions with phone, so also bought a higher level in case he calls me for support, he is hard of hearing due to accident, I have Samsung. Somehow he had top flip switched off for ring, but wanted something so he can learn parts of the phone or he was going to return it. He still has his flip phone.
