The range of kids books and adults is astonishing. So many dedicated toy aisle is something many toy shops might lack. Only gripe is limited science and tech book number.

Recently went to their starbucks, instead of throwing out the extra in blender from my drink order, i was gifted a small cup on the side which i thought was lovely. The person behind counter was friendly and helped me order because i dont usually buy Starbucks. The store is always organized and always have friendly staff when i go.

I wish it were open longer. This is a great location, with a nice cafe and seating area. I do wish Barnes and Noble was open longer. I remember when they used to be open until 11 pm and sometimes 12 am. Because of work, I don’t have enough time to come here. I know the pandemic changed a lot of business hours, but I hope it doesn’t stay the permanent norm. B&N would get a lot more business if they extended the hours. More people are willing to go out and stay out longer. It’s good to see a revival in interest in physical books at physical stores. Please extend your hours!

I use to love going to this store, but last time I went they were keeping “an eye” on me. I thought it was because of my backpack purse which fair enough I get that. Recently I left it in my car only my wallet and phone on me, still felt like I was fallowed around. I want to just go in and read the description of the books in peace not have to look in my peripheral just to see someone hovering close by or bring someone else with me that looks less “suspicious” I suppose I’d give this a lower rating, but I still like this place

This place is comfortable to go and read your books without it being loud or being bothered. Everyone is respectful especially the staff, they are always kind and always looking to assist people around the store. I love when I come in that they have plugs on the wall so you can be able to charge your phone or laptops. The table areas are walls clean. The environment in this city is well. I seen a group of kids storm in the store and tell and be crazy . But that was one time. Not something to worried about.

Huge! Im from Palmdale. This Barens and Nobles is larger than the Palmdale location. Which is ok. They dont need to be the same. Just pointing out that this location has a beautiful design to the store. By that I mean, the Starbucks is located on a higher platform, which makes it more fancy to me. Its luxurious to me. Love it. Plenty of chairs and tables for your reading, studying, and or laptop needs. WiFi available! Always a plus. The overall store is gorgeous and huge! Will visit again someday!

I normally have a pleasant experience here with great customer service until last night. I wish I got the employees name but she was annoying and aggressive. The only thing that stood out was her hair had a purple tint. I’ve never been bothered by an employee before so I just walked away. She then bothered another customer down the aisle sitting in a chair with her behavior. We decided to leave at that point and not purchase the books we selected.

They rearranged the store, what looked to me as an attempt to cover up less merchandise availability. Wish they would expand the pre-teen / teen area. Not child books, not quite adult books section.

Had the book I wanted. The girl in the childrens section took me straight to it after quickly looking it up.There was no line and checkout was finished in a matter of seconds. The only complaint I ever have about this location is their toy section is always a huge mess. I often put the messy toys aside and shop there for childrens gifts as they have a decent selection of out of the norm gifts.Happy Shopping!

I LOVE books, so this place is like a library, but you can have coffee and buy the books. Many people come in and read...lots of places to sit and read the book you might purchase. Everyone that works there is super helpful; Matthew and Nico were great. Lots of gift ideas besides books such as stationary, games, music, wall/desk calendars. If you love books like I do this place is a MUST anytime of the year!

First time that I was at Barnes and Noble, I ended up surfing through books for THERE hours without even realizing it. I never had so much fun in this library as Ive never had so much fun going into a library before. It just piqued my curiosity since this bookstore offered a vast of endless books to read from! A typical but good B&N store, with separate sections devoted to genres (crime/mystery, science fiction fantasy horror, business, etc) and categories (a dedicated manga section with a good selection of the top series and mangaka, two separate graphic novels sections--one for adults, one for kids), a comprehensive childrens books section. Magazines and stationery at the front right of the store, visible through the front window as you enter. As usual these days, a number of table displays and all the prime front shelf displays feature discounted new bestsellers and lead titles, as well as a good mix of fiction genres. Young Adult gets some visibility, Middle Grade not so much. Theres been some controversy on social media about B&Ns decision to let each store choose its own lead titles for shelf display while downplaying or not stocking other, less high profile titles. This is disappointing, but in my experience, all bookstores make choices and that means leaving the majority of new titles in any category or genre off the shelves, thanks to the sheer number of books being churned out by big, corporate publishers. What would be nice is to see more indie books promoted in this location since Santa Clarita has probably the lowest concentration of bookstores per square mile and per capita compared to other, better stocked neighborhoods in LA County. Still, at least we have this one good, mainstream bookstore and thats better than nothing. Although, if youre a book addict on a budget like me, then you might want to check out the Valencia Branch of the Santa Clarita Public Library right across the street from this B&N. I often check out the B&N just to see whats good and new (just one of my many ways to discover books) then go across to the library and place holds on the titles I want. Same great new books, absolutely free! Even B&Ns discounts cant beat that! Happy Reading!

Love to read and enjoy the enormous book selection at Barnes & Noble. The ambiance is great for reading at the store and the clerks is very helpful. I had to order a book that wasnt at the store and the clerk was very helpful and thorough, I got an extra discount for my order. Love Barnes and Noble. Not just books, but fun toys, puzzles and other gift items. They also have a section with music, CDs and vinyl. The staff are all very helpful and there is also a Starbucks inside. If you shop here more than a couple times a year I suggest the $25 membership, which includes 10% off all purchases, free shipping on orders, and special member deals and sales throughout the year!

Very friendly/fun staff! Visited childrens area with son-in-law, daughter and granddaughter for book/story time reading and activities. Interaction with other children was a delight to watch. Dan, the human catapillar paid a visit and was available for pictures with the kids!Great selection of books, games, puppets and more available to help develop young minds. I would have given it a 5 star rating had the mens bathroom been cleaned. The store is in a nice part of town. You would think that the bathroom would have also been nice, but it was gross. First stall had poop wiped all over the seat and the second had been peed all over. I chose the latter of the 2 and cleaned it up a bit. Other wise a great store.

I can count on Barnes & Noble to always have the books Im looking for. Today when we went for birthday present. I was happily surprised to see that the book series I wanted to purchase was on sale! While normally the books are full price unless you have a membership, I know that I can occasionally find good sales or may even find books on the clearance table for reasonable prices. The staff were all very helpful and answer the questions my husband had about mythology books. I also found the people at the checkout counter to be equally friendly. Im very pleased with my experience.

Brick and mortar book store and gift shop near Santa Clarita. They have physical books, board games, kids toys as well as action figures. I love my experience here just because I find books store like this a rarity since Amazon happened. They have open samples for reading, and a discounted item section although I dont find anything interesting for me at the moment. Parking is easy.

Its an actual bookstore. With Starbucks. You can sit and read and sip. Theres a music dept and a community room. On certain days you night even find activities going on in that room. Bookstores are the bomb! They are difficult to find these days (remember how every mall used to have a bookstore? When was the last time you saw one?). I was pleased to see this store bustling before Christmas and hope they get enough business to stay open. They have a coffee shop inside and youre welcome to take a look at a couple books before you purchase them. The store has a wide range of books including for young children. I took my granddaughter and was sure to get her a book. Reading is the key to success!

This location is in a suburban part of town.People with average class income live around this location so expect higher prices, meaner looks, and rude customers.However, customer service is on point. Helpful,curious, and patient to meet the standards of the town. I was happy to receive a $70 Barnes & Noble Gift Card from a friend. I decided to purchase a birthday gift for my husband using the Gift Card online. I paid expedited shipping for it to arrive in 2- 3 days. Unfortunately 2-3 business days passed and I had yet to receive the item.I called Barnes & Noble and they said it would arrive on a later date. I was bummed that my husbands gift would arrive after his birthday. I asked to be refunded for the expedited shipping cost since the item never arrived as it should have, and they did.Then, I waited for the item to arrive days later but it never did. In fact, the item was never shipped and never arrived. So, I called Barnes & Noble again to ask for a full refund. They agreed and told me to wait to receive it.At this time, I told them that Id misplaced the Gift Card and that theyd need to re-issue one with the full refund on it. They agreed to refund me the full amount of $70 on an eGiftCard but Id have to wait 3 days to receive it by email. When I received the email, 7 days later, I saw the eGiftCard was only $58.51.I have to call yet again to sort this out and this entire ordeal has taken weeks!This has been an unnecessary hassle. I literally ordered ONE item and it never arrived. Thank God for Amazon! Which is where I went to purchase that same item which was delivered in 1 day!

Its a corporate bookstore. It serves s purpose but has that classic Ive been focused grouped to hell feeling. But it serves it purpose in providing new books. The Starbucks isnt actually a Starbucks and the mistreatment of employees is pretty much universal as with all minimum wage corporate jobs.

With the decline in Book sales, bookstores are harder to find now. This is one of the few Barnes and Noble locations in Southern California.This location has a Starbucks inside where you can sit down and study while enjoying a cup of your favorite Starbucks drink.From time to time, they have different reading events for kids and adults.

Tried to use a 20% off coupon to purchase an album. The register screen said the purchase didnt qualify. No where in the list of non qualifying items listed on the coupon did it state albums were not applicable.Music manager said there was nothing he could do. He gave me a toll free customer service number (Philippines) to call. Customer service rep said the coupon should work. Also stated that the manager has the authority to override and apply discount. Really! Why didnt he, especially after he had no answers and stated hed never seen that happen before!I called back the store and spoke to the same music manager, I told him why, in the future, would I drive 20 minutes, with a coupon, if I it was a roll of the dice as to whether or not the coupon would be good or not!?!I had to ask him for the override discount. I also asked why he didnt give me the override in the first place. He said it was for unusual cases. I reminded him of his statement hes never seen that before.Crappy customer service at the store level in Valencia. At least with this particular music manager. He knew the coupon did not state albums were not qualified, it was, by his own admission, an unusual situation, and he knew he had authority to override.

I happened upon this location randomly, almost out of nowhere. I was beyond excited to find this place because I was so accustomed to the Burbank location. Anyway, this place is huge. I know it’s not saying much considering that most other BnN places are big, but like I said, I was accustomed to the Burbank’s small, cozy location on San Fernando. But I was exuberant to find this place and was in awe at just how huge this place. The cafe is a pretty busy area, and it certainly has an abundant amount of seats, but there are even more people here too. First time I came in, there was a line—a long one I should say. Not used to that in a BnN cafe.The music selection is quite random, going from the soundtrack of Greatest Showman to...Ed Sheeran and then maybe sometimes Ariana Grande (no joke). I had to pause from reading sometimes because I was just...perplexed to listen to such songs in a BnN store. It’s kind of distracting to be honest. Burbank has more consistency in their music selection and it’s more relaxed.Being here is kind of strange to me. It’s like being in a new country. You’re in awe at all the new or different things you see and hear, but then you start feeling odd, like an alien and you start missing the old home. That’s how I feel.The cafe’s coffee frap is okay. I prefer Burbank’s way. There’s not much employees walking around asking how we’re doing or whatnot. I kind of like it because I don’t want to be bothered, but it makes the store feel empty. And that’s what I’m feeling now.This store may be huge, but it just feels empty. Even if it gets busy, there’s an emptiness to this place that makes me long to go back to the Burbank location.I do recommend this place, yes. But nothing beats home.

Reason for the 2 star is because its too loud. I come here to read or study, and they play music so loud you cant even concentrate. Therefore when people hear loud music they think its okay to walk around on their phone talking loud. Makes it a unpleasant visit. The Burbank location is nice and quiet. Maybe if they want to play music make an area that doesnt have any speakers with seating so we can read in peace. And I asked the manager to lower the music. He said he will see what he can do. Doesnt sound like he did anything.

This is a nice Barnes and noble also very big but it got 3 stars because Ive noticed that this manager named Terry is very mean and seems like she can be moody. Im a college student at C.O.C so I come here quite often. God forbid you need to ask anything from her. Her presence is very unwelcoming like she doesnt want to be there. The Starbucks is great and they NEVER get my order wrong which is shocking. There is also this cute and polite guy who works there I think his name is davion or Damian hes really tall and black. I was trying to study and a guy was blasting music on his phone and when I told him about it he promptly and kindly spoke to the man about his music and the music stopped. Good place still.

There are many closer options in the B&N chain that we could visit - as residents on Miracle Mile are of Los Angeles - but we often find ourselves driving awhile to revisit this our favorite in Valencia. This place should be ashamed to call itself a book seller! I taught in the Santa Clarita Valley for 31 years. I taught English literature. I used to work at this particular Barnes & Noble about 10 years ago. At that time they still had mostly books and a very good selection. But over the past 10 years theyve become more of a toy store and a homeschooling store than a Bookseller. For example, I went in 3 days ago to purchase a copy of the Mars room by Rachel Kushner. It has been listed for many prizes and is on the New York Times bestseller list. They had absolutely no copies. Then I tried Lauren Groffs book Florida, another hardbound book that is up for many literary prizes and also on the New York Times bestseller list. They also did not have any copies of this. But they had plenty of copies of teen and young adolescent literature not to mention lots and lots of games and toys and a huge selection of anime. Really, the Santa Clarita Valley is becoming so hip and cultured, dont you think its time to have a great book store too?

I am a visitor to this shop in Valencia CA ever since I purchased my condo in the beautiful city of valencia in 2004 and owned it till 2008. When I went to India in a vacation in 2008 as someone in India called me to come there and my stay got extended till 2010 and then till 2018 someone has taken over my property in Valencia. Still whenever I visit valencia I also visit this bookshop which is very nice.whenever I visit Valencia I feel it as a very beautiful place and it was an honor to have owned a property at this place. When I used to visit this bookshop in 2007_2008 my idea was to complete MBA and become a manager or investment banker.that did not happen due to various reasons including lack of greencard. Hope that one day I will get my greencard, my job at Kaiser and also get back my condo in Valencia and also own barnes and noble stock. God bless me.
