I highly recommend Dr. Ryan and the entire staff at Banning Veterinarian Hospital because of their professionalism and friendly, caring attitudes. Dr. Ryan has done an excellent job on removing a cyst from my dog Cupcakes eyelid. And Dr. Ryan has no problem with giving me prescription refills for my dogs medications for his heart condition so I can get them refilled at Costco. I also appreciate being allowed into the examination room with my dog while Dr. Ryan examines him with attentive thoroughness, which is very important to me (and my dog!) so I get immediate feedback about his condition.

My husband and I went to put our 14 year old terrier mix down as she was struggling and stopped walking yesterday. They were so kind and patient! They were efficient with the process and really made sure that we had the best experience possible in this situation! I will be forever grateful for their assistance in helping our Annie girl cross the rainbow bridge ❤️ She will be furever missed 💔🐾

I took my dog in for a wellness check after hed previously been having uncontrollable sneezing bouts. Theyd subsided a week or two before I got in but I kept the appointment. They, as I, suspected it was allergies or possibly had been a temporary respiratory ailment but they only charged me $65 for the visit which is mind boggling compared to what the bets in Palm Springs charge. Such a pleasant surprise.

Dr Ryan at Banning Veterinary Hospital is great! I bring all my animals here but my most recent experiences is with my cat Tuna who has Asthma. And my big dog Maggie who needed a little something removed off her belly. He went above and beyond for my cat to try and find other options for his asthma. And as for my dog, he was just great with her. He helps makes things stress free! The visits are always very pleasant! I hardly ever wait, the staff has always been pleasant, and the payments are less than anywhere else. But the care here is what I appreciate the most! Thank you Dr Ryan and the rest of the staff for being the best!

I recently took my puppies here for there puppy shots. My family have been going here for all pet needs since I can remember but different location. At that time they were located in the dominos pizza. But nothing had changed, which is a very good thing. Now I see why my family growing up went there. Exceptional service from the vets. Made my puppies feel very welcomed and the vets let you know step by step what they were going to do. Made me feel peace of mind knowing my puppies were in great hands. I would definitely recommend this wonderful veterinary hospital to anyone who owns pets. They care about the animals as much as their owners offering the peace of mind you are in good hands and that your furry loved ones will be taken care of and shown the same love you show them.

Love this hospital. Dr. Ryan and his Dad have taken care of my 3 dogs for a long time. The youngest, Britches is the only one left and Dr. Ryan just cleaned her teeth. Dr. Johnson, Dr. Docken has left and the other vets have been so helpful. The staff is also wonderful.

Took my Sophi to see Dr Murphy. She was limping after running for her toy. After a thorough exam, she determined that Sophi had a small tear, no x-rays, etc. Prescribed pain/inflammation meds. Within 2 days, no limp! You can see that Dr Murphy engages with your pet and has a wonderful bedside manner!

Unfortunately I cant give a good review. I have been taking my dog there for nail trims and a few other routine appointments, but today I was informed that they have my girl as inactive saying they havent seen her since 2017. I had her nails trimmed a few months ago but that silly lady wanted to argue with me saying, ... am I sure it wasnt a different vet. I have spent over $2000 easily on my pets at this vet in the past 16 months. Now Im required to pay for a checkup appointment before they will clip her nails. My girl is an elderly dog with a need to cut her nails so she can walk comfortably. So $200 nail trim is ridiculous!. Gotta find a new vet immediately. Very disappointed!

This is the best hospital in the Inland Empire pet hospital. I been going here for 10 years. Senior Westbrook and Ryan Westbrook have been such wonderful vets. Every Vet and assist have been so wonderful. We have taken both our dogs Walker and Gracie since they were puppies. Dr.Ryan saved our puppy Walker after several suggestions of surgery and parvo test he treated him for gastrointestinal. My girl dog has been healthy and running since his diagnosis as 2 years old. Now we trust all the Vets. We have taken our family members cats, and dogs. I recommend. My visit today with Dr. Renee Joo was fantastic and her assistant. Very caring and reassuring! Thank you 🙏 We are forever thankful !

I really like this vet office but we went in with both our dogs for physicals. We dont feel a real physical was given. No temp taken, both ears were not looked at,had to ask about there teeth? Visit felt short.

I loved this vet at one time. Last time I went there was for my cat Arthus to have teeth pulled they pulled 4 teeth for over $800 I let them know that money wasn’t an issue. Please pull every single tooth that is causing him problems. Needless to say a few days later my cat was in pain again. I called the vet back to let them know and ask them why he is still in pain when I told them to pull every single one of them if that’s what it takes. They went on to say well there is one next to one of the one that was pulled that we were leery about. For $800+ my cat should have been relived of all his pain. Now I’m having to find another vet to help him never once was I told why his teeth were going bad either. I’m very very sad and unhappy right now. (This was done over a year ago btw it’s just been edited with that being said I would call you guys but I have to sit on hold for sometimes over 45 minutes to even speak to someone)

I want to thank everyone at Banning Veterinarian Hospital, especially Dr. Murphy and the vet tech (I am sorry, I do not remember her name). My 16 year old dog has been sick and I knew it was time to bring him in. They were booked solid, but made time to see him. His bloodwork came back with bad news and we had to make the difficult decision to put him down. Dr. Murphy and the tech were so patient and kind. Thank you for your compassion during a heartbreaking moment.

I met with Dr. Ryan on Saturday (not a great day to go, had to wait an hour even with my confirmed appt) He was through with his answers to my pets issue, provided options and prescriptions to help with the allergies and provided additional options moving forward with tests to see if she has Cushings disease and options once we know the outcome. Overall, a very positive appointment

Worst animal hospital on the planet. They do not accept walk ins. In other words if your dog is in dire need of a vet too bad. Hes been scamming people for over 20 years. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest his armpits. Karma is real...yours is on the way. On another note the customer service from the staff is trash...Fat ugly women that hate themselves...bummer.

We started coming to Banning Vet last year after dealing with multiple pet issues. One of the large corporation Vets pretty much left our Diabetic dog in a not so great situation!What we found with Banning Vet is an office full of really nice and caring people! Jenna up at the front desk is wonderful! She has the compassion for both the animals and for the stressed out owners! Maddie one of the vet techs was also super sweet even in the face of our Nala a young tuff streetwise mix who was not exactly happy after getting a side wound. Generally we see Dr. Murphy who is wonderful in her care and trying to research for Nemo who is doing better under her care for Diabetes. Thank you Dr. Greenhouse for sewing Nala back together in Urgent Care! I believe you also fixed our other case last year with our hound after he popped open his incision and got an infection.If you are on the fence make the call and get your appointment!

My dog could no longer use her back legs. I was visiting from out of state. I called they got me a cancellation appt. From the minute we walked in every employee that tended to us was so caring and filled with empathy. I am thrilled to report she was diagnosed with a slipped disk and the medicine course of action has worked great. I would highly recommend this great place.

Ive been bringing my dogs to Banning Veterinary Hospital for 4 1/2 yrs now. They have urgent care hours until 11 pm on weeknights which is very helpful and their pricing used to be less expensive than other local vet clinics but sadly it has increased quite a lot, like everything else, since I started coming here. Nevertheless, I have received pretty good care for my pets & I will stick with them. I live in Yucca Valley so its a pretty far drive for me but we have very limited vet services there so I continue to bring them here.

I have had a good experience with my 3 cats in the past. My last cat that past away I cremated him with these guys. I got my black cat and Tabby here a long while ago. And this place is the only place I trust. Animal Action league refuse to answer their phones. They don’t help but THESE DOCTORS they will. I will pay the pricy part because I lost faith in Animal Action League. My two cats are 9-10 years old and they’re still THRIVING ^^

After getting back to normal after covid times, the veterinary hospital I love and have been taking my dogs to for over 15 years is BACK!!! Got a very quick appointment, took us right in, saw us promptly, answered my questions and we were done. All staff were kind, gracious and professional. All staff efficient and friendly. Not a long wait to for exam and x-rays. Our dog Roxy has injured left leg or paw. Waiting now for diagnosis from doctor.Update: Roxy put a little weight on her left injured leg the next day, and by second day she walked with limp around the house. She went outside on her own by Christmas and went on trip with us to San Diego from Hemet. She continued to walk further and eat and drink well for the next three days. The Medicine given helped her with inflammation and therefore with rest to, is healing up rapidly. Thank you Doctor. She is back home Monday after Christmas back on her comfy bed. We believe she will be back to normal in 2weeks as doctor predicted.

My mother brought in my pregnant dog late in the afternoon since she was shivering and within a minute of coming in, she was already being treated.My dog, Fiona, received the best treatment possible. The procedures/costs/risks/medication/and even training on taking care of newborn puppies was extremely detailed, polite, and explained in a way anyone can understand.Lastly, the staff was the best around, friendly and professional and helping with any concerns at all times. The doctor is a wizard at surgery because you cant even tell where the sutures are from the cesarean section made to give birth to two beautiful puppies. Shes all well and enjoying her new pups.😄10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a place for their pets.

I have to say that Ive been going here for years and honestly you cant beat the price. The only downside to this veterinarian is how understaffed and difficult it is to reach them by phone. Last week our 3 Months old puppy had highly contagious disease known as Parvo. And we had been referred and got denied treatment from other places. Where they wanted a half deposit for their treatment and services. Which have no guarantee or assurance for a proper care of our dog. But Banning Veterinary Hospital accepted and confined our puppy for 48 hours. They even keep us updated and called us after 24 hours. About our puppys condition and additional treatment theyre going to give her. Me andy wife pick her up after 48 hours and found our puppy very much better. We had a great experience and most importantly they took immediate care of our little Lucy who was suffering from a collapsing trachea. The receptionist, I believe her name was Jennifer, took us in even though we didn’t have an appointment due to the seriousness of Lucy’s problem. She explained how if we could wait 45 minutes there was an opening immediately saving us $30 dollars. Dr. Barkley quickly recognized Lucy’s issue and explained how we could help her and gave us medication. Lucy is doing much better! We will be bringing our other two dogs here even though it is a 36 mile drive for us. VCA is one mile away and Banning Veterinary Hospital is far superior and worth every mile!!!

Have an appointment here. First time visit, the office asks for a 63.00 up front charge to hold the visit. The 63.00 gets applied to your costs incurred. So far, Im good with my 2 visits so far. Have heard good things about this business from word of mouth. Its clean and professional.

I was referred to this animal hospital. My dog needed to get spayed and being new to having a puppy I was scared about her procedure. The staff at the facility was great about booking an appointment for me and was friendly and professional. Dr. McCleod was able to get me in her schedule and I was extremely happy with her services. She kept in touch with me about my dogs progress. She went over the procedure thoroughly. She helped ease the anxiety me and my husband had. Dr. McCleod and her staff are amazing. Brought the pups in for shots and chipping. Dr was great and very informative. Arrived fifteen minutes early but had to wait over an hour to finally see the dr. This not a total complaint but a fresh reminder that customers don’t like to sit and listen to peeps in the background laughing and talking while you wait. I drive in from Yucca Valley. It makes for a long trip. But overall service is good and I truly appreciate the good work everyone does. Thank you!

I mean there really are not enough verbs to accurately depict them but here are a few- compassionate, ethical, caring, sterile (the environment lol), community oriented, communicative, educated. I am sire I could give more if needed.From the in depth care they provide my behaviorally challenged clients to the outstanding level of care they give all my babies furry and hooved.Even the loss of my best friend they care above and beyond any practice that I have experienced in the last decade.You will not be sorry that you brought your pet in and established yourselves as patients with them.

So, I found a dog recently here in banning, so after having posted the little feller on Facebook, no response, I bring it to this place to have it scanned in hope of locating a chip and therefore the owner so they can come get there dog from me. Upon bringing it here and giving them my contact info. The dog did have a chip so great news. Up until the ladies at this place demand that I leave the dog with them threatening the police and all sorts of crazy insane behavior. ..So I left went to Beaumont animal hospital on Beaumont Ave explained what had happened they happily assisted and by the time I got home the dogs owners granddaughter called told me where to bring the little dude and so is is home safe with his 86 year old owner.Sad and strange that corporate greed is what drives this place I was semi shocked to see such a fancy vet in such a rundown building but if attempting to steal dogs that are trying to be returned to there owner is the company policy that is absolutely not for meThese people even threatened the police while wagging the finger at me yelling its not my property, needless to say no...sh...t hence why Im looking for the owner. Foolish sad pathetic way to be. Harassing someone trying to get there pup home. What a joke.

I have just starting using Banning Veterinary Hospital and wondering why I never used them before. I have 4 cats and recently 3 of them got a virus. I used their urgent care services which was terrific. The wait was very reasonable and so were the charges. I have since been in for 2 follow-up appointments. The staff are very friendly, caring and understanding. The facility is big and spacious. I am so thankful for all their help.

My dog went to our local VCA and we didnt have a great experience. She had a mass removal with many complications and we were left with a half dollar size hole in her stomach that I was cleaning, bandaging and rewrapping every 2 days and it was getting so hard on both my dog and myself. I took her to Banning Vet Hospital for a second opinion and we were seen by Dr. Adams. She was beyond amazing, including all the staff I spoke to on the phone and in person. They are kind, patient, knowledgeable and have amazing customer service. Dr Adams was able to see my dog and get her in for surgery that day to close her wound up. It was such a huge relief and the stitches were done very clean and looked great! My dog was able to come home same day and start her road to a full recovery that VCA said they werent sure would even close. I cant thank Dr Adams and the staff enough for all their help. I highly recommend Banning Vet Hospital!!

We walked in because my dog swallowed a blood pressure pill about 20-30 minutes ago and the front desk lady asked “do you have an appointment”, obviously we don’t because its an emergency. She continued with “well we don’t have the facility to take her in and were booked up” She was extremely inconsiderate and not passionate about this entire situation. She just handed us a paper with a list of other vets to take our dog to and said “heres a list of vets within the area that might be able to help” She didn’t even recommend an emergency vet and just ended with “bye, have a good day”.I do NOT recommend this place with their lack of compassion and their cold personalities towards something that could be potentially very serious.

I don’t know about this place. It was recommended to me by several people so I brought both of my dogs in for evaluation for dental cleaning. (They won’t do the cleaning without a health check, which makes sense.)After doing a physical exam and blood work on both of them, the vet diagnosed both of my dogs with arthritis in their hips. So I decided to put them on some pain management. I bought the medication from them on the first visit to see how they responded. But when I went to refill, I compared prices. The price difference is insane. For the same medication I purchased for $72 from Banning, I could find for $18 online. I can understand a little upcharge but a 4x discrepancy feels predatory. I asked them if they had accidentally charged me for the chewables since those are more expensive. Nope. The charges were “correct”. Makes me question their motives. Also, I haven’t been able to schedule the dental cleaning for months because they only schedule them one month at a time and you have to keep calling to try to get on the list. If you don’t guess when the list will be open they just say “try again next month.”Side eye for real.

The “emergency” hospital advertised being opened until 11pm. Went there, no one attending. The emergency number on the door advised going to Upland, 45 minutes away - we already drove 30 minutes to get to this stinking place. Cruel and unusual punishment for pet owners expecting to get treatment. Another person rocked up with their dog in the same dismay. Please fix this! And people - do not expect emergency treatment here despite the advertising.

I had to take my neighbors dog there for an emergency and the staff were terrific from the receptionist to the nurses and the doctor. I called, they took the dog right in and the wait in the private room was pretty short. Thank God he was ok, got the medications and we were in and out in about 1/2 hour. We started with banning in 2003 they were very friendly and I felt like they cared for my pets. Unfortunately it’s not the same.The last few times I feel like my pets were handled rough my dog would drag herself to a standing position instead of just standing. The care is just not there anymore. It’s hard to leave a vet after so long but I don’t feel comfortable with the services anymore.

Feel like we got scammed. Brought our two dogs in for teeth cleaning. Asked them to call me if there were any further issues. There call was missed but I immediately called back. They hung up on me five times and went ahead with doing additional work on my dogs. The simple cleaning turned into a bill for almost $1400. When I tried to show the lady at desk my call log of five calls that they hung up on, she didnt care and said it wasnt their problem. I asked who runs a business this way? When they brought one of my dogs out they had their leash in one hand and the other was a blue rope that was noosed and choking my dog. They also messed up the medication and almost gave tranquilizers to my pet. Whole experience was bad, first and last time going☹️👎

On April 17th we took our little Kitty boy to have his eye checked and also lump on the side of neck, we did blood work that day, and we were told by Dr. Barkley that we will be receiving a call that day when he was seen on what his results were, no one reached out at all, I had called Tuesday to check back on what the results were, the receptionist informed me that Dr Barkley was not in and she will not be in till Saturday, and I asked if any other doctor can give me the results, I was told that no other doctor can give me any information as Kitty was seen by Dr. Barkley. I was told to open an account, as it was going to be uploaded, so I can see his test results which was NEVER uploaded. Early Wednesday morning Kitty was in extreme pain and discomfort to the point of him losing control of his faculties. I called Wednesday morning to make an appointment and informed them the situation on what was happening with Kitty and were given a late afternoon appointment for and examination however still no bloodwork results. That morning, we had to put him to sleep, Wednesday afternoon I called your office to cancel the appointment because he passed, I decided to check the account to see if his test results were up loaded but all his information was deleted on my end. I called the office and was told that since the cat was deceased they delete his information on my end. As a courtesy I reached out to your office staff to request the refund and give your establishment the opportunity to do the right thing. The fact that you examined our Kitty Boy and saw the state he was in and sent us home with no way of providing comfort care or a plan if things should get worse clearly shows your disregard for the actual care and comfort of our pet. We were informed that we would hear from someone regarding the results of the blood work and did not hear anything. Luckily, we were able to locate a caring clinic who immediately took him in, sight unseen due to his obvious decline and upon arrival rushed him in for a quick and humane euthanasia once determined he was beyond help. Even after the fact test results were never given to us until I called to request the refund. At that point I have been given the run around and have zero faith in your ability to care for any animal or the accuracy of any results you may suddenly have. We are very disheartened to know that this is how you treat your patients and their families. I have emailed Jennifer Mendoza (manager) explaining what was happening and this was her responseCherylynn,I apologize for how long it has taken to get back to you. After discussion with Dr. Barkley and our Regional Manager, we will not be issuing a refund for the bloodwork as you requested. The service was provided and as Dr. Barkley explained, it can take a few days to get the blood results back. They run very close to appointment time, I never feel rushed because they take an immense of time with each and every pet. We had a serious allergy emergency with our dachshund at 9pm in Morongo Valley. Quick internet research said this hospital was 5 minutes closer than the 24-hour VCA in Indio, so we went. Google, the web, AND voicemail said they were open for emergencies until 11pm. When we got there, doors were locked and the phone number on the door said ‘call failed’ every time to tried it. Luckily our dog lived due to giving him human Benadryl we had in the car… but how can you do this to people? Someone is going to lose a family member because of your negligence.

I brought my kitten to Banning Veterinary for her very first shots and had been having trouble with her being in heat and always wanting to go outside. She had started urinating in the house and not in her litter box. The doctor said getting her spade would reduce those issues if not eliminate them completely. Hi! I dont live in the area but my significant other recently took her pet rat here, she loves him dearly and needed a very specific treatment. As poor little puffin has a pituitary tumor, which is likely going to be fatal. The skilled veterinarians were gentle with him, treated him amazingly, and prescribed him life saving medicine to extend his life, as well as increase the quality of his life.She had struggled with other vets, unable to get proper treatment and as a result puffins health continued to decline. I have used Banning Veterinary Hospital for about ten years now. They have been able to handle routine needs and have had the capability for advanced procedures and help a cat with cancer. They have multiple vets on staff, and the different ones have done a good job and hav cared about my pets. I have appreciated the after hours emergency care. Only complaint is the online appointment request form. I have requested appointments, waited, and had no response. They do however, answer the phone if you call. Their charges are fair, and one year after we lost a much loved cat, they donated in her name for veterinary research, I appreciated that.

My first post was not completed. As I was saying, The entire staff was very compassionate and caring . I actually went here 2 days in a row due to my female cat being ill. They not only helped me, they were able to doctor my cat and I could not be more pleased. They also noticed an error in the billing, as a test was ordered but not completed and called me to inform me of this and refunded money to the credit card. If you have a pet and need top quality treatment, I would strongly urge you to use Banning Veterinary Hospital. I will now only be taking my pets here. And I live at least a 30 minute drive, by freeway, away, Great care, Great Staff and,HONEST!!!!!

This is the third year Ive taken my sweet put to Banning Veterinary Hospital for teeth cleaning, and I will never take her anywhere else. She is 10 years old and quite timid, and they handle her with such love and care that I feel completely comfortable leaving her there for the day. Last year, the doctor noticed something unusual that I needed to keep an eye on.When I arrived to pick up my pup, he called me back to review her x-rays and thoroughly and clearly explained the situation, giving me advice on how best to prepare her food. And Banning Veterinary has reasonable pricing, which is a Godsend.

We brought our 110 lbs Akita and hoped we could be seen, we only had to wait 15-20 minutes and Dr Greenhouse and her staff were amazing. Akita’s are pretty aggressive and can be hard to handle, they were not concerned at all and took care of her in a very professional manner. I highly recommend their services.

Thankful of the team at Banning Vet! My cat had gotten a fishing lure stuck in her foot and they were quick to see her and take care of her. They were very kind and made us feel like we were most definitely in the right place. They took her back, did the surgery and had her done and ready to be picked up by noon. I’m not from the area and they were unable to fit me in, but the girl that was at the front desk was very helpful and patient with me because I was losing it. Nothing but positive things to say about them. Even though we moved and are farther now, Ill still take my dog there. I couldnt be more relieved to find a vet that actually cares! From the front office staff to the vet Dr Johnston, they have gone above and beyond to help my kitty get well. My cat got a scratch in her eye back in January, which soon turned into a corneal ulcer. I had been taking her to a local vet office for months and it was not getting better and the vet made me feel like it was a burden to deal with me... not only did I not know where to turn, I was financially drained. I made some calls and one of the ladies at the front desk scrambled to get me in. Dr Johnston has been so wonderful, kind and caring and they are the most reasonably priced vet office I have ever dealt with. Procedure for teeth cleaning and pre-op tests/tasks and post-op recovery follow up are great; the increase in cost is not so great!! Weve been taking our animals to this hospital for many years; the sad part is to have the facility bought out by a corporation -- and not have it family-owned and operated; predictably, increases in cost for services, etc. I want to believe though that BVH is still a better option than VNA -- which is outrageous.

We have been going to Banning Veterinary Hospital for almost 15 years. We live in Palm Desert, California and travel 30 miles through the desert to get to Banning Veterinary. Its worth the drive. We trust them. They are honest. They treat our pets like their own. The cost of care is reasonable. When we lived in Los Angeles County, we would drive and hour and a half to get to Banning Veterinary Hospital. I was referred to them by my friend who lives in Los Angeles County. You call and you dont get a person you get a recording that tells you to pick a date and time that works for you and they are supposed to call you back. I called at least 3 times and no one called me back. So I took my puppy in to get her first shot and to be D-wormed they told me their first opening wasnt until March!So I called Beaumont Animal Hospital and a person picked up the phone gave me all my information with was you are able to just walk -in before 4:30pm and take of everything i needed. Everyone was so nice. In all I spent $40!! Perfect!!!I will not be back to Banning!

If you have an appointment this is a good vet but anytime your pup has a problem dont go here. Horrible customer service and no care or dont care to get your pet in. The vets are nice but again any problems you are not a priority. Overcharge anytime because they think they can and honestly just seems like the on call phone people would rather not talk to you. I was so unhappy with the quality of service I switched vets.

Cant judge this business on looks. Decor is cement and sheet metal. Nursing staff and Drs are kind, devoted to their patients and on point. When they take care of your fur baby, theres no doubt they know their stuff. Expensive yes but no. You pay for their expertise and experience. And try any other vet and theres really a negligible difference.

So happy we found this hospital!!! Last night we had to take our dog in for a ruptured hematoma on his ear. There wasnt a local vet that could see him, and we live an hour away from this hospital, but our experience was definitely worth the drive and the wait!!! When we arrived the receptionist, Jaimie, was very nice, she gave me a heads up that the dr. could see our dog but that it would be a long wait as they were very busy that evening. I appreciated her honesty, this helped us to know what to expect and kept us from getting impatient. Dr. Greenhouse is the Dr. that treated Kobe. She was very personable and spent plenty of time with us explaining exactly what she was going to do to help our dog. She made us feel confident that Kobe was going to be ok. What impressed me most was that even though we were the last patient, and it was close to closing, not once did Dr. Greenhouse or Jaimie make us feel rushed. Jaimie talked with us while we were waiting and would periodically update us on how Kobe was doing to put us at ease. Dr. Greenhouse did an excellent job in repairing Kobes ear and she gave us clear detailed after care instructions. Also, when it was time for the bill, it was strait forward and reasonable! Overall, we had a great experience. We will continue to bring our pets here and we will highly recommend Banning Pet Hospital to all our friends!

Have went here for many years prior it has went down hill severely in that time. I took my dog here three times in three months for lumps and bumps. I was told all clear every time. Dr Ryan, instead of doing further testing just told me his dog had so many lumps and bumps it was weird to even touch him and not to worry. The very next month I make her an appointment yet again because I was still uneasy about the lumps -made an appointment and sat there for nearly two hours and had prior commitments so I had to leave. They act like no one’s time is important but theirs they double book appointments and don’t care how long you sit. I Came back 4 days later with a new appointment this is now the 3rd visit in three months. This time time they finally tell me she has lymphoma and the lumps were cancerous when I become angry they try to tell me it basically comes up overnight and wasn’t cancer the two previous times I was there. I find that incredibly hard to believe. At any rate, I was told she has a week or two to live Nov 17th.. luckily it is now the middle of January and she is still with me thanks to a very competent oncologist vet in orange country. I would never take another animal to this place they are incredibly unorganized, unprofessional and rush things through. By time they told me my dog had cancer it was now stage 5.. should/could have been caught in the previous 2 visits I went out of my way and paid them for. It’s quite a kick in the gut feeling knowing I tried to take my dog in at the first sign and it took them three visits and cancer getting to stage 5 for a diagnoses.

I used to go an animal hospital that would be PACKED consistently, therefore their quality of care was rapidly declining every time we went to visit. When I was recommended this hospital, I was beyond pleasantly surprised when I walked in. Theyre so clean, organized, and attentive. I have thought long and hard about giving this poor review, but finally decided to. We had to have our dog Dex euthanized in February because he had lymphoma. When we went in, they put us in a room. The vet and assistant came in. They expressed absolutely no compassion. The vet gave him the euthanasia medicine, then told us we can stay as long as we want with him. They left the room and the assistant came back just a few minutes later To take him away. We were so upset and devastated by his loss that we couldn’t even think to ask for more time. I felt like we were basically pushed out of the room. No apologies and no compassion from them whatsoever. Even when I went to pay the bill, I was crying, and there were still no apologies or compassion from the lady that took our money. I have had dogs my entire life and have had many euthanized, and have never had an experience as bad as this one. We asked that he be cremated, and all they put on the box with his name. No date of death, no nothing. Pretty sad for a veterinarian office that gets really good reviews. I am still devastated by his loss, and this experience doesn’t help that.

After reading other’s reviews I see I was right!!! You can Never see the same vet because they change their schedules on a routine way. They rotate their days off so no more building a vet patient relationship much less it’s owner. They were Rude on the phone and told me on last Friday that NO doctor until Monday!!!!!! My cat ( as I type this) is dying of kidney disease and had a question I really needed a answer too. IAlso learned by reading the reviews how many animals we’re having their teeth removed! It’s way to many. I went there for a feral cat who’s teeth were bad and had a painful mouth so said I would pay to have it done anyway. However it was a 3 month wait according to the vet because of all ahead of it. So my advice is get more than one opinion before doing it. I Don’t believe there could be that many all needing teeth pulled and some in here that passed away from pneumonia!!!! It’s so SAD THAT A VETERINARIAN WOULD USE THEM FOR JUST THE ALMIGHTY $$$$ but I can’t see anything else!!!! I don’t go very often but my dog’s and cats have lived from 9-19 years old and only 1 who was 9 the others much older. I MUST BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT!!!!! I am looking for a good compassionate vet who Always puts the first over the $$$$. I can’t get a answer until Monday for my kitty who all I wanted was a call back and treated with compassion and respect!! Been going to this Animal Hospital for years. They have taken care of all my pets for over 15 years with love and kindness by a highly skilled staff. A few years back, everyone was thrilled by the highly anticipated new multi million dollar surgery center. Dr. Ryan was a great diligent veterinarian and his practice was rated highly.. if not one of the most respected doctors in veterinary medicine in the state.This past year for some reason the entire staff have left. Phone calls and emails never returned. Then starting the last 4 months, dozens of request were sent to me via text, email and in my US mail informing me to bring my dog in for over due shots, teeth cleaning, blood work, etc. Worried about my dog getting timely care, I called and emailed the office over and over, desperately trying to obtain an appointment for all the over due tests, shots and teeth cleaning. Postcards were piled up on my desk from Banning Animal Hospital each one upping the urgency of me getting in for a overdue check up.Finally after months of phoning and emailing I got through to them today at starting at 8am. After 1 hour and 10 minute wait on hold. I unfortunately got the rudest receptionist I think I have ever spoken to in my life. She quickly informed me in a curt fashion, we are not taking reservations at all and doubt we will anytime soon. We will take your number if anything changes we will call you. I asked her why would you not have this information on your website or on your outgoing message on your phone to let us know. Why are you sending several postcard notices a week in the US mail of the urgency of getting my dog in for a check up and blood work. This is where she completely lost it and shouted to me over the phone that their practice has nothing to do with sending out the post card reminders, email, and text. This is all outsourced by another company. I said why would not inform us you are not accepting patients on your website so it it would save us hours of our time trying to call you? She told me to go find another veterinarian and hung up on me.In closing, dont bother with this Vet. Something has seriously gone wrong at Banning Animal Hospital from the doctors, vet assistants and more alarming the receptionist . I am not even sure if Dr. Ryan is with his beloved Banning Animal Hospital anymore and if he is, not sure why he is letting this once revered animal hospital be driven into the ground. His staff has become pitiful in customer service. The real ones hurt in this downward spiral of a once prideful establishment is all of our beloved animals that turned to and depended on their once stellar care.AVIOD THIS VETERNARIAN and find another pet care establishment that takes pride in caring for our extended family of pets that we love so much.

It is impossible to find a vet in Palm Springs or the surrounding cities. Banning Animal Hospital gave me the appointment I requested and took care of my cat, who needed dental surgery on the spot. I could not have been more grateful or relieved. The hospital is beautiful and the staff and doctors are all you could ask for. The cost was more than reasonable. Almost 1000$ less than my previous vet. It was worth the drive to help my pet

On 6/17/22, My wife and I took my 5 month old puppy in. We were greeted with a Sorry, we arent taking patients right now. We have no Doctor available. My wife told her please,, Cant anyone see him? He cannot even hold water down and we are worried. She said No, because if I have someone see you, it would still be a no go without a doctor. The doctor is doing a euthanasia right now and will be directly going to a surgery for the rest of the night. I asked, Cant he be seen quickly, please? Now the answer is No. Doctor is scrubbing in already. What I really want to know, was how would she even know that, if she didnt even check with anyone? I dont understand why, it was so hard to check on him when there was absolutely not a single person in the lobby. I was told to take him to another location instead. More so, how is it an Emergency Hospital, if it is impossible to be seen? How is only ONE doctor available at an EMERGENCY clinic?? Dr. McLeod is great! She performed surgery on our lab last summer and was knowledgeable and caring. We have now switched our vet to Banning Animal Hospital so she can care for all our fur babies. We went today for routine shots and yearly check up and once again Dr. McLeod did not disappoint. We love her and so do our dogs!

Amazing, Im so grateful to Banning Vet. I put off treatment for my dogs abcess. Trying to wait for a regular appt. because I thought Urgent Care would wipe me out financially. But it was so bad. He was suffering, I couldnt wait. I was so anxious I wouldnt have enough to help my best friend. But it was way less expensive then VCA urgent care. My cat hurt her hip and was in terrible pain. I called around for hours trying to find a vet for an emergency. I started calling out of my area and contacted Banning Veterinary Services and they took my name and told me to come at 8 the next morning and they would work me in which they did.They have several doctors there and the one I spoke to was very kind and knowledgeable and found and treated the problem. I was very happy with the treatment given my cat and especially impressed with the pain medicine already premature in separate vial so it was easy for me to administer it to my cat.They have a large, very clean and comfortable office and I am a new customer who will be taking my pets there even though they are out of my area, as they are worth it.
