My dog is 11 yrs old and he’s been going to Banfield since he was a couple of months old. I’ve had him on their optimum wellness monthly plans all of these years because it has been worth having unlimited free vet visits, and professional teeth cleanings. I do miss the days and hours they used to be open, but they are usually able to see him without a long wait like at other vets.

I usually get my dogs prescription dog food at Chewy, but they were out. I was able to have my vet send a temporary Rx to Banfield so that I could buy it at Petsmart. Easier than I thought!

The doctors are wonderful. The staff is great. The only reason why I gave it a 2 rating you can never get a hold of any of the hospitals except Crocker Village and the appts are few and far between. Due to that if your animal is in need you have to to urgent care or er

I love the team at the Elk Grove location on Elk Grove Blvd ! They caring and my pets are like family! They go above and beyongd to make sure my dogs are happy and healthy and always have a cuddle for them

I pay 80.00 a month for banfield insurance. My dog has kidney issues, and now needs the few teeth she has left pulled out. Maybe five teeth at the most her breath is so bad there has to be infection. With insurance it will cost me $1,700.00 to have this done. Looking everywhere to get help for my dog.

I dropped my cat off for her appointment to get her cyst popped 4 hours after I dropped her off I called to check in and they told me she has not been seen yet and that my cat has a cyst that needs to be popped well of course thats why I made the appointment. After an hour of picking her up the cyst started to grow again after paying almost $400 just for the visit and getting it popped they except me to go in and pay more to get it popped again after I just took her YESTERDAY

I started service with Banfield when we got our puppy... My sister-in-law (shes a vet now from another state) said No! to Banfield. I didnt listen because it was out of convenience that I chose Banfield. After a few visits, I never wanted to go back. The staff doesnt seem genuine when it comes to showing care for my dog when hes nervous and scared. We didnt renew of service after a year.We now go to a different Vet and never been happier. When I called to follow up on my request for file transfer to the new vet, I was put on hold for over 20 minutes and ended up hanging up.My experiences with Banfields staff can be better if they hired people that can care a bit more. I love my dog and Im not expecting the staff to love my dog at the same level as myself, just be more kind when any pets are scared and nervous when they are brought in.

This place is just about money. I have had my dog on the wellness plan for over 2 years no problem. Now the medication for flea tik and heartworm has caused 2 seizures and they had me upgrade my plan stating it was muscles spasms and she needed x-rays. I will NEVER take my dog here again. Do not come here for your pets needs.

My wife and I absolutely love Banfield hospital. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and always take great care of our pets. We pay a small fee monthly and all routine care is covered by the plan we have them on. If you have a pet that you love you need to get them on a monthly plan.

So my husband moved around a lot before we were together, and has taken our dog to at least a dozen Banfield hospitals across the country, and this one is his favorite. No other Doctor has taken the time to explain out step by step whats going on, what their plan is, and what we need to do like the doctors do here. We feel very included on our dogs health while were there, instead of just dropping off for routine stuff.For Banfield in general, we are really happy with the plans they have. You can pay a monthly amount and have routine services done each year, and get discounts on all other services. Paying monthly not only helps us budget easier for our dogs, it helps us do the most for them without spending the most.

Ive been here twice, and am grateful I dont take my pets here.The first time was a Sunday afternoon in July. I found a baby kitten in my backyard, and to me, he didnt look so well. I brought him in without an appointment(I will hand it to Banfield, their hours are convenient). I just wanted someone to look at him and tell me this kitty wasnt going to die. The woman at the counter told me I had to make an appointment, and wouldnt even look at the kitten. Since no one else was open, I did my best with the kitten. By the way, he was 1.5 pounds and covered in fleas.The second time, I found a tick on my dog. I pulled it out myself, and just wanted to make sure that I had pulled the head, too. Banfield was closest to my house, and again had convenient hours. I handed the tick(in a bag) to the girl behind the counter. She said the vet was in with someone, but would ask when she came out. I told her no worries, I was in no rush. Maybe that was my mistake. 20 minutes later, the girl says the vet is still with a patient, and I should just hang out. 45 minutes of waiting, I asked if I could leave my name and number. She told me no, that the vets cant diagnose the tick unless Im there. I told her all I needed to know was if I got the head or not. She then told me she wasnt even supposed to take the tick from me at all. So, I asked for it back and left.I will not be back, and do not recommend Banfield to anyone.

I stopped by to inquire about spaying my cat and asked them if I have to do anything at home to prepare her for the surgery. Now I live alone and I work 6 days so I was trying to find out when would it be best for me to do it and for that I need information about how it works, what do I need to do before & after procedure. They told me to get an appointment and ask the vet. Well I know that I will need to see the vet and for some reason they acted like I am going to try to do the surgery at home and did not or could not provide any information. Instead of assuming your customers are stupid you need to make sure you are understanding their situation and their questions before coming up with lame answers. No one likes to bring their pet to a place where people are ignorant. They had that its just a pet attitude.

Banfield hospital is located inside PetSmart. We became members of this place for going on for 4 years now. They have an excellent staff and good doctors. We have an older pet and are on their top-tier Optimum Wellness plans which covers a dental cleaning and 2 complete physicals per year also covers unlimited visits.. The plan pays for itself just for the dental visit. I have managed to save quite a lot of money by being on this plan. They are really good with follow-ups and have always been there for my pet. The only piece of advice that I can give to any pet owner dog or cat and one of the most important things is Dental Care it is an absolute must if your pet. devolops problems with their teeth this will lead to a whole plethora of problems down the line causing you to spend thousands of dollars and not taking into account the pain and anguish your pet is going to go through.

Its a Banfield but thats about all thats good about this location. Interactions with their vets, vs those at other Banfields such as Folsom and EG West, left me questioning their competency. They turned my dog away who was suspected to have injested several norco tablets... As we were in front of the store. Theyve made questionable diagnoses and treatment plans for every day dog ailments such that I refused to implement them and took my dog to a different Banfield for a more detailed exam and treatment. The only reason Ive visited this location is due its close proximity to where I live. Folsom, our regular hospital, and Elk Grove West Banfield are worth the drive.Avoid this location.

The staff an get were all so wonderful with me an my big boy Monster.they didnt try an get me to buy any expensive food or say they need more test an that is I have to to go pay in out. Of pocket cuz my package deal doesnt cover that particular test like the other 2 Banfields did. Thanks guys for getting my my boy better😃

Look elsewhere. Tried to bring this local shop my business called them for a shot that everyone charged $10 for these people wanted $85! For what!? Scammers just because in Elk Grove they think that $75 extra charge is ok to tax people. I will never come here and do not recommend them.

Took Kenai to Banfield Pet Hospital on Laguna Blvd today for check in with his Vet, Dr. Jang. Dr. Jang has been his vet since we adopted Kenai 5 years ago. Last year, Dr Jang diagnosed Kenai with a serious and painful condition called Perianal Fistulitis. For 9 months Dr. Jang has been treating Kenai and adjusting his medications. Gradually Kenai improved and today Dr. Jang saw so much improvement that he moderated his prescriptions and will see him again in 2 months. I cant express my relief that Kenai is healthy now and my gratitude to Dr. Jang and his assistants at Banfield. I highly recommend this brilliant and caring vet to pet owners in Sacramento, CA.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!!! Especially for anything that has to do with oral surgery! They pulled a tooth without even taking an exray!!!! Then come to find out... they dont even have a dental exray!!!! How did you guys do oral surgery on my dog without taking an exray?!?!? Horrible vets although the staff is very friendly I will never take my pet here again!!!

If I could give them less than a star I would. They have no idea what they are doing and only care about finding things wrong so they can charge you more. Its like walking onto a car lot. Im very upset with my first experience with them I have a German shepherd puppy that had something called puppy strangle its a skin infection I took him in and they charged me a bunch of money on medication he didnt need so I lost out on hard earned money while my dog was suffering and getting even worse I tried to put him on the medication they gave it did nothing I took him back in hopes I could ask a different doctor so after a very long wait the doc came out looked at him for 1 second and said its puppy strangle gave me the right medication and told me to come back if it dont work but I asked him so whats going on with all the money I had to spend for no reason they told me well this is a guessing game so we cant do anything about the money you spent even though he knew right away what it was so either they are in the business of ripping people off or they hire vets without proper experience

Worst customer service ever. Everytime I go here, the women at the front receptionist act like they hate their jobs. Attitude and stank face.Came here and waited in line for 20 minutes the other day for no reason. Lady went to the back even though she saw me in line and never came back out. I ended up calling their number and said I’ve been waiting out here for 20 mins and then another lady finally came out.Some of us have things to do instead of waiting in line for you to come back and do your job.
