When the installers arrived, I was amazed how compact the “Kit” was on the trailer. The guys unpacked the kit in the order of construction needs…very well organized! Fully unpacked and constructed in less than 6 hours including debris cleanup!

I searched for over a year to find the right outbuilding company for our backyard project. Backyard Unlimited has turned out to be the best choice! Just got our 10x16 garden shed from Backyard Unlimited in Auburn. These people know what they are doing. Jerry handled the initial sale; Albert did the site visit; Mel installed the concrete piers; Brent communicated about some construction issues and scheduled the delivery; and Marv delivered and installed the shed. Each was professional and pleasant to deal with. We couldnt be more pleased with the entire process and the end result. We will be painting it to match our house.

Craftsmanship terrible. Wood warped and split. Building not built to specified dimentions. Owner and manager are a couple of tools. Wont work with customers, only out for themselves and their bottom line. Do yourselves and pocket books a favor and have your own built by a professional. Will be significantly cheaper with out the headache of dealing with their incompetence. Incredibly regretful purchase experience. Avoid making the same regretful decsion.

I found Backyard Unlimited on the web in 2019. I was immediately drawn to them because of their ability to do drawing submittals as well as the construction of an ADU. It was a one stop shop and now that my ADU is complete I can say I am very satisfied with the service, quality and most importantly their ability to honor the price that was in contract. The permitting and plan submittal was the most time consuming part of the process and it did have to do with me requesting a major change in the plans due to new setback rules that would benefit my ADU. Max was supportive and understanding of the changes and once I finally got the permit, it was a matter of scheduling to break ground. Unfortunately it was rainy season and covid which delayed the start. Once it started, things progressed and inspection with city inspectors went well. Because the ADU was in the peninsula in San Mateo County, the scheduling was a little tricky since they drive from the Sacrameto area, but it didn’t bother me that much. What I was most looking for was for the ADU to be built properly, pass inspection, stay within budget and for them to stand behind the quality of the work. I’m happy to say, all those criteria were met. I didn’t go over budget. No major issues with the city inspector were found. I notified them of some quality corrections and they immediately acknowledged and responded which demonstrated to me they have ongoing care and pride in what they do. I would use Backyard Unlimited again in the future and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Good luck on your projects.

We purchased a 14 x 18 wood pavilion. First, the customer service we received from Albert was excellent. Second, The quality of the pavilion is amazing. You can see the top quality workmanship that went into every piece. And lastly, the 4 young men that came out to install it just blew us away. The focus, know how, and teamwork was phenomenal. They put it up in one day!! It looks beautiful in our back yard. We couldn’t be more pleased. Have had so many compliments on it.

I was looking for a really beautiful tiny house to put on my back deck for an extra bedroom. While backyard unlimited costs more than their competitors, the house has a really unique and cool design (with 7 windows and a slanted roof going up to 11 ft), they were very prompt and friendly, they delivered it 2 to 3 weeks early, and all of the people I spoke with were extremely respectful polite and professional. I cannot recommend them enough.

My experience with Backyard Unlimited was fantastic! From start to finish, they were great. Most of the process was done via email, and every time I had a question, I got a quick response. Yet, there was no hard sell. Theyve got a good product; a product that sells itself.Because I wanted to see the actual product before making my decision, I drove out to their facility in Vacaville, where again I had a pleasant experience. I wasnt rushed or pushed into any particular choice -- they wanted to do what would work best for us. In the end, we chose the 12 wood-reinforced vinyl model, with metal roof, electricity, cupola, and screen package. The gazebo is lovely and the price was even pretty good -- a great value for the money.And when it came time to install, the team that came out were on time, efficient, friendly, and polite. They knew what they were doing and in record time we had a new gazebo. I would highly recommend this company if youre looking for a gazebo.

We’ll, what can I say to justify rave reviews. The crew did all of the above but how they behaved during the shed installation was so much more and better than anyone could expect. They were craftsmen. They were carpenters. They didn’t just take all the pieces and put them together. They put them together perfectly. The pieces were beautifully cut. I noticed it especially when the pressed board was installed on the roof. (It had metal insulation on it by the way). All the lines met exactly in each direction. The shed is a joy to behold. Perfect in every way. At the end Brian even wheeled a magnet around it to ensure no random nails were left. I am a fan. Have one of their sheds installed and you’ll be blown away and become a fan too.

I was interested in adding two new pavilions as part of our new backyard redesign. Nathan at Backyards Unlimited was extremely knowledgeable in helping me choose the right structures and options. On the day of installation the crews arrived early and installed both structures that same day. Marv the foreman was extremely professional and polite and answered all questions I had during the install. The whole process went smoothly and I can recommend this company without reservations.

Backyards had built and installed for me a beautiful gazebo. I couldnt be happier with the product. The installation was fast and easy - once it got here. Long delays were forewarned and expected. What was troubling was the lack of even phone support. We called several times just looking for a schedule date - a week, a month, whatever. Nobody took calls or returned messages left. That is unacceptable for a business in a competitive market.

Nathan and the crew at Backyard Unlimited are wonderful! Great products and great service. I had them build a shed for my father on a property near Auburn and the whole process was as easy as could be. Nathan helped throughout, from picking the appropriate shed to coming out and making sure the site was suitable to the actual installation. It even came in a touch under the estimated price.I couldnt be happier with the results and, more importantly, my father is loving his new shed.

My wife and I first saw the Backyard Unlimited products at the Cal Expo Home and Garden Show last January, and was impressed with the variety of designs and quality of construction. We decided on the 10 x 12 garden shed model, and was able to choose the type of siding, window and door configuration best suited for the style of our home and planned location of the structure. Our experience with delivery and setup was very positive, having watched an experienced 3-person crew completing construction in one day. Most gratifying was inspecting the structure upon completion and being reminded of the high quality of both materials and construction.Anyone considering construction of an out building should make Backyard Unlimited a first stop.

I want to compliment Nathan and his team. The whole experience was top notch! His team showed up when they said they would show up, finished on time, cleaned up as they went and were literally the nicest construction crew I have ever met! Everyone on this project was polite, respectful, professional and genuinely seemed to love their job. The Pavilion is beautiful and I cant say enough about their craftsmanship and quality of work. Purchased a custom pavilion from Backyard Unlimited. They were very flexible as we added and deleted items from the “standard” pavilion as we were intending to customize it after installation anyway. The base pavilion is made of quality materials and was a pretty straight forward installation. We’ve since added our own custom stain, concrete tile roof, Stone fire place and additional stone work.

I contacted Backyard Unlimited back in September. They came out September 21st to give me a bid for a garage. I honestly wasnt sure if this was something they could do even though they do advertise it. All seemed to go well, they assured me they could, would be in contact with in a week with bid and then nothing. I reached out a month later and they said they were very sorry their GM had quit but sent a generic bid. We ended up going in to their office and discussed in detail what we wanted and I was assured again they could do it, would start the process of designs, checking property line and getting back to us with design and price next week. Again nothing. Popped back into office on December 28 to see what was happening and a full office full of people with difference reasons as to why again no response, again very sorry and would get back to us next week. Surprise, nothing. Look I get that stuff happens, life isnt always easy but respect and honesty cost nothing. A phone call to say we just cant do this job or need to wait shows maturity, is honest, is respectful for the client, shows respect for your company you work at or own and doesnt waste anyones time.

Everything from the first call I made to Jerry W a few weeks ago through today when the custom shed was completed was a great experience. Highly recommend them. Very organized, prompt (Jerry came to our house the same day I called him, gave us an estimate, discussed all the options), and the guys that constructed it were very courteous, clean, did an outstanding job. Before they left, they made sure I was happy and asked if I had questions, and then shortly after they left got a call from John checking on the project, did I have any questions/issues/etc. Fantastic experience and we are extremely happy with the custom shed. Like others, I checked out Brand “T”, but I didn’t like its appearance. I was looking for something that fit in with our home’s color scheme and that we could look at with pride. We visited the Backyard Unlimited showroom in Vacaville and were immediately impressed with the look, feel and the obvious high quality of construction. We ordered the “Barn” style shed with the added loft and ramp, and also had them match the two-tone color of our house.The shed was installed yesterday, and we are as pleased with what we got as we were with the samples in Vacaville. Backyard Unlimited staff was helpful and provided excellent communication throughout the process. The installation team was equally courteous and efficient, they bent over backwards to accommodate our schedule, the construction quality is excellent, and they left the site spotless. We paid more than we might have for brand “T”, but it is worth it. I’m very pleased and could not ask for more.

Let me start off by saying that I am extremely particular when it comes to quality and details. The shed that I designed and ordered was by no means the most inexpensive one I could find on the Internet. When I signed the contract and submitted the down payment everything went exactly on the schedule as I was told. When the crew arrived, it took them about six hours to assemble the shed and there were no flaws in the fit and finish. It looks as good as any of the pictures on their website. I am very satisfied and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Had a fantastic experience with this company! They are located right down the street from me and passed them everyday when I go to work, so when I was in the market for a pergola, I popped in and worked with Nathan on pricing and scheduling. He told me how he started the company and the Amish styled products he learned when living in Pennsylvania. The finished product looks amazing and they literally had the whole thing installed in under 3 hours! Couldnt be happier and will be recommending them to friends and family!

We had a fire that totally destroyed our garden shed and chicken coop. We found Backyard Unlimited on line and visited their Auburn location. The buying experience was great --- no pressure --- quite the contrary they bent over backwards to get us exactly what we wanted. And we were fussy about design and colors!When it came to delivery and installation, they were right on time and professional. Both the shed and coop were ready by the end of the day and were show-room perfect. The installers even went so far as to leave the site cleaner than they found it.Great job by a great company!

I ordered a 120 square foot storage barn with a high roof and lots of built in shelving. I am completely delighted with the result. It is beautiful and very solidly built. They may cost a little more but they deliver a very high quality product and the service is great.

Very happy with my shed. I gave them the measurements that I wanted and realized the following day that I wanted to make a correction. I called them and they happily made the correction. Everything was done the way they said it would be and when they told me it would be. When the crew arrived, they had to work at getting the pieces around some obstacles, but they acted like it was no big deal. Everyone from start to finish was courteous and professional. The product is quality and so are the people .

Nathan was our main point of contact from the review to the building permits to the final inspection, couldnt have built a better building myself... I am a woodworker by hobby and love building stuff .. but i just didnt have the time to build one .. because of my new job ... they where flexible on the size.. i went from 66 wall to 8 walls and added another door on the side of our building and adjusted its size also for my height (63 man)... My Shed size was 16x24 great size for my hobby .. Backyard Unlimited met Sac building code with no problem ... the material they used is better than other shed manufacturer companies. My neighbors have came by saying they loved the shed ... I would say to anyone that is interested in building a great shed, then BackYard Unlimited is your company!

Backyard unlimited and install crew did an outstanding job installing our dogs kennel. It was so well made and actually looks like a smaller version of our house with yellow and white trim. Arnie, our 15 year old Cocker Spaniel, is having the time of his life enjoying the indoor outdoor run portion of cottage and has a great view of our yard from open air pen portion of dog house kennel. We found backyard unlimited online we were looking for gazebos they really had the one we wanted we traveled from Southern California up to Rocklin just to look at their lot where the gazebo was the construction and beauty seeing it on their lot and the workmanship and quality is unequaled it took eight months because of the backlog because of the Covid mess when it was scheduled they came out in one day they put it together like a puzzle it is now finished it is just gorgeous it is a lifetime structure we got the roof A pagoda and a Cupolla so it just looks fantastic I highly recommend this company I can’t say enough about it they came all the way from central California to Ontario California to do this project it was worth the wait it was not inexpensive by any means but you truly pay For what you get.
