IT WAS LIT! 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥I went here for my 31st bday and had an amazing time. Me and my husband plus my sister and brother. We shows up at 3pm and gad two hours to throw axes. It was sooo worth it bc we definitely needed the practice. They gave us 4 types of axes in increments through out the 2 hours. BIG BERTHA was the hardest for me.Afterwards we went and enjoyed the rage room for about 15-30 minutes and it relieved a lot of steam for us. We laughed and laughed at eat other going hard with banging and breaking stuff

Really nice way to spend an evening. Went here with my husband and his best friend to celebrate my husbands birthday because he had been wanting to try axe throwing for a while.Everyone had a great time. The gave us different types of axes to try out. Some were heavier than the other and a little harder to use but it was a good evening.It was a 75-minute session and we got all of the time to ourselves and it was just the perfect duration. Too much longer and we would have gotten bored so I think this is a nice date or fun adventure idea.

We had a great time! Brought our kids for spring break (18, 16 & 12) plus my husband & myself. None of us had thrown axes before. Joshua was super helpful & cool. He demonstrated, gave us pointers, asked if we liked the music & even showed us the rage room as we said we were interested. We all had fun & learned something new. Definitely recommend!

We had so much fun. The employees that teaches you was very cool and funny. Through out the hour she would give us new weapons and within that hour you improve so much just have patience. This was my grandsons 11th birthday he became a pro!

Tonight we called and spoke to a women who said we don’t need a reservation for axe throwing we walked from home (not close by). We show up at 9:05 and the guy turns us down and said they were slow so they closed early. Very unprofessional. Guess they don’t want to make money. We had a group of 5! Won’t be back.

A group of 13 of us went to check out AxeVentures for a birthday celebration and we all had such a great time! It was a unique and fun activity that all of us had fun trying. Some people were surprisingly good...others not.so.much (me) but everyone had fun and got in plenty of throws! The lanes are set up so you are still hanging out with your whole group even if youre using multiple lanes. Also the customer service was SO GOOD - I emailed and called a few times and always got really helpful and nice service. And...there are a ton of craft breweries around so we did a fun little brewery crawl AFTER we went throwing. Overall it was a fun day - highly recommend!

Wow!! We had an amazing time. The 15 minutes were exactly what we needed. We were releasing our energy after receiving bad news and it was just the release we needed to reset ourselves. We would recommend this to all of our family and friends. Definitely will be back.

The venue was amazing. I went with a small group and had a blast! Its more fun than it looks if that is even possible. Its hard to get the hang of it at first but everyone in our group was able to play games competitively after some practice. This is a great date idea or a great team building event. The staff was very helpful and fun as well.

My family and i went the day before Christmas Eve and the two guys working were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a blast. Started with the smash room and then threw axes afterwards. My son now wants to go again and have his birthday here also. I hope this place stays around for a long time.

Had a bike night meet up here and it was AWESOME! The neighborhood is great and there’s food and drinks nearby. When we came in we were greeted promptly and had an instruction period on how to be safe with and properly throw the axes. There was so much to throw! Like 4 different types of axes, a SHOVEL and saw blades! There is a small learning curve, and if you don’t get it you can always ask for help. Eric was our coach and he did a good job of keeping an eye on us and making sure we were having fun, and we also got to meet the manager Jorge that made sure we had good lanes and a great time. This place is awesome for group events or date night. They also do glow in the dark axe throwing on Thursday’s and have a rage room smash room too! 12/10 will come again!

This was an awesome experience. We got to learn something new as a group. We were able to talk and have a good time. Staff was friendly and helpful with learning how to throw. Very spacious. They had other games to play while you wait for your lane to open up. I cant wait to go back again.

Saw a Groupon deal for Smash/Rage Room for 2 and bought it. Then I tried booking online but the code kept coming up as “invalid.” Contacted customer service for Groupon they reset the code for me…still didn’t work. Called the place directly and a man answered. I mentioned that was trying to book a rage room with a Groupon and it was coming up as invalid. He mentioned it only works on Tuesdays, I did not know that & was not listed on the Groupon. I was actually trying to book for a Tuesday. He said “Call back in 10min, I’m with a customer.” Called again and no answer just gave up because how complicating it was to book, but also the customer service.

This is our second time at Axe adventures, but this time in new facility. Much bigger than the other place. Had a great time with family. Used a groupon. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Lots of great pubs in the safety briefing. They now have bleeding targets that you can purchase which adds some more fun. Definitely fun with a group. Glad they are open. They require masks and have hand sanitizer to use when you walk in. Highly recommend coming down and throwing some axes.

We purchased the Rage Room (Smash Room) activity for our sons (ages 13 and 16) for a Christmas gift. They both loved it! You can bring your own items to smash in addition to what the company gives you. One son thought the glass was scary, the other son loved the glass. One enjoyed breaking apart the metal items in the room, the other son thought those were too difficult. So a lot is personal preference. They liked the fact that they could connect their phone to play their own music. I was a little worried about the amount of time, but 10 min (2 times) was plenty! They worked up quite a sweat. We will be back, and next time well bring more items to smash. Great fun! Also, our host (Tex) was PERFECT! He had great energy, got the kids pumped and excited, took the time to explain safety. He was the perfect balance of professional and fun.

We had a great time! Went to take out some frustrations and destroyed some stuff. Wide variety of objects to break: printers, computers, tvs, bottles, speakers and much more. Jorge was hilarious! Minors can participate, our 14 year old enjoyed breaking stuff too.

They help teach you the basics an if you have any questions you can always get more information from them. Also if your group starts to get better they bring by other throwing axes an such. So much fun! We had a group of 10 for a bachelor party, and Brandon really made our experience a memorable one. Along with a quick run through on proper technique, the staff was available when needed. The place was clean and easy to find, and well within walking distance to many local eateries and breweries. Would and will come again!

This is an awesome place. The staff (Jake helped us) is friendly and they show you the basics of axe throwing. He took care to check on us frequently and give us pointers. Its a lot of fun, and straightforward. They have some other games there too. Parking is the biggest problem there as there isnt much of it. Would definitely recommend trying it out - its a lot of fun and satisfying to stick one in the wood!

Took our office here for our 2022 Holiday Party and had a blast! They showed us how best to be successful with throwing our axes and offered pointers since a few of us were still having issues making them stick. Then we were off! We werent competitive so we didnt play any games, we bought the bleeding targets (well worth it) and just enjoyed making the Yeti BLEED! Between the axe, the tomahawk, and the battle axe we really had a blast! Highly recommend!

Im going to give this place 5 stars for just being in existence! I was next door getting my car aligned and stepped outside for a walk and this... Def coming back to take out some aggression and bond with friends. They said theyd been there a year and a half and its $29.50. Place looked safe with cages and they offer a teaching guide with purchase. Munchies available.

We had a really good time here. They were able to accommodate a walk in for our group, and gave a good primer of the basics, as it was the first time axe throwing for a lot of us. They started us off with the larger, easier axes, before gradually getting more interesting stuff like short axes and spades to our table. The tables also come with suggested games on a brochure. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had our team building at AxeVentures, would do it again. Small groups make it a lot of fun! The Smash room is small but it was also a fun activity. The guys running the place were nice and helpful to get us going and keep coming around with new things to keep it interesting. Fun activity for sure.

Brought my son for his birthday and first time visiting AxeVentures. Our coach Raina made us feel super welcome.Once we got past the quick intro class, we were throwing axes and hitting bullseyes! Raina was there to check our form and make sure we were getting the best experience.Nothing better than to throw axes while rocking out to some classic rock tunes! Great fun!

This was my second time and we had a lot of fun. I prefer to have it be a competition and build points or eliminate targets, thats the way we played the first time and my bestie and I kicked butt. This time we bought one of the bleeding paint targets and I wasnt a huge fan. Next time were bringing my BFs Axe. One important note, if you are using a Groupon be warned, they are now no longer accepted on Friday-Sunday. The place has gotten pretty popular and its best to make a reservation.

Axe Throwing is 5 stars, rage room is 3 stars. Average score is 4 stars.I came here 2 years ago for axe throwing, before they moved and its a cool place. I came again yesterday for the rage room and..... Well... It needs some work. My biggest issue is that they give you literally 3 empty wine bottles and 1 small electronics item to break. Like a toaster or a 15 computer monitor. Thats it. You can break this stuff in less than a minute. There are broken parts of tvs on the floor, but you cant break any of that since theyve been smashed 500 times by previous guests. Yet, outside in the back they have a huge stash of things destroy, but you cant touch any of that. They are a little too conservative with their items, considering they get all of it for free.I hear you can bring your own stuff to break, but what fun is that? Bring in a wagon full of old printers? I guess.

Did this as a birthday adventure for a group of friends. It is very well organized and safe, and the facility has since had modifications that make it safer - like for example when an axe inevitably bounces back (yes they do!) there are now wood chips to stop them in their tracks. I liked this more than I thought and will definitely be back!

My Wife, Brother-in-Law and I had an absolute blast at Axeventures this weekend. Weve been wanting to go for a while, and discovered they have one in Oceanside near where we live, so we booked a lane. The place is right off of Coast Highway, right by the Pier, Staff was awesome and gave us a ton of pointers about the different axes and how to throw them. It was definitely money well spent to have a great time! We are definitely coming back!

The staff is really cool and helpful. Setup is cool. Not as many glass objects as Id have liked to break, but plenty of appliances and electronics to bust up!It does get hot in the rage room, and you have to tolerate wearing -- reused but sanitized, coveralls and hard hats for safety/ protection.Overall, it was a great experience and truly relieves stress!Tip: You can bring in and break your own items; old electronics, dishes, photo frames, etc.

We came to San Diego for a short vacation. While here we were looking for an activity to do with teenagers and found AxeVentures. The staff was very helpful teaching us how to throw the axes and other items. We also went back the next day and did the rage room where we were able to smash things. Once again the staff were super engaging and extremely friendly. Above and beyond, we had lost an item and they scoured the building to help us find it. Thank you AxeVenture for a great time.

Easy going fun coach made it easy to learn how to stick your axe throw. Once proficient, the have several (dart like) games you can play. They also have giant Jenga, giant connect 4 and corn hole that you can play. Plenty of seating and restroom facilities on site.

Pretty fun! They have more than just axes to throw too. They had a shovel head, and a saw blade. Theres a little rule book with three games to play and a notepad for points as well. Definitely worth trying!

This was a great experience - fun for the whole family. My 15 yr old and 9 yr old had a blast.The coaches were great - helpful and encouraging. They were available to help make corrections to form - helping with the success of throwing. We would definitely do this again. Kids said it was the most fun thing we did in San Diego this visit.

Rage Room Review (I did not do the axes).The staff here are what get the highest points from me. They are funny, kind, and helpful. 5 stars for the staff, but 2.5 stars for the rage room itself. The issue is price. At $35 per 20 minutes per person, a 4-person room reservation (the number of people required to guarantee that you won’t be paired with another group) will run you around $150 after tax. What you get for that price is a room about 7x5’ with a handful of televisions, vacuum cleaners, and other small electronics that other groups before you have already beaten half to hell. If you’re looking to smash plates and stuff, they don’t do that here. To be clear, the experience is still a lot of fun and the staff are great, but what you pay and what you get are too disproportionate; this rage room is not worth $2.5/minute. I’d definitely recommend going if someone else is paying, but not on your own dollar.

My husband and I had a great time. First date in a long time and it was a great idea. The instructor was awesome. He gave a lesson at first coached technique as we were throwing and was available for questions. Once we were comfortable with throwing there were games to play to make it more interesting. Totally recommend. Next time were going to bring the kids.

After hearing pretty good things about this place, I decided I wanted to celebrate my birthday here. I called 3 times during different hours of the day but no one answered. I figured they were busy, so I stopped by to get details about having a birthday party there. Alexander was SUPER rude and refused to provide information because I didn’t have a reservation booked. There was no one in the facility and he even walked away while I was asking questions. He told me to call if I have questions but when I explained that no one was answering, he said “oh well”. I don’t know how this place is still in business with “coaches” like Alexander working there. Needless to say, I won’t be booking my birthday party there.

We had a fun time with the smash room! Two 10minute sessions, half the time with music. I think you can bring your own stuff to smash and that might be a good idea. Each session had a like 5 glasses and then 1-2 bigger objects to smash (plus some larger, sturdier objects that had probably been in there a while). Everyone was really nice and the guy who set us up was funny and added positively to the experience.

I don’t see myself coming back or recommending this place to anyone.Compared to other axe throwing places I’ve been to, this one felt somewhat boring (other axe throwing places I’ve tried had fun, virtual, interactive axe games you could play for the same price or cheaper). We decided to leave half an hour early because we got tired of throwing axes at the same target.The staff was nice and it was fun to use the different weapons they offer but I think you can find a better axe throwing place than AxeVenture.

Do not waste your money on the smash / rage room. I had been looking forward to trying it for months. $120 for three people for 20 minutes and there was almost nothing in the room to smash. The last two minutes the host brought us a gift of three wine glasses. The rest of the time we were banging plastic helmets on a metal stand using a crow bar. The room was smaller than a prison cell. No space for everyone to rage at all. Very loud, headache inducing. Amazing waste of everyone’s time. Luckily we brought some things to smash with us from home, otherwise there would have been no worthy breakables. Incredibly disappointing experience.

I went with my oldest child and their best friend, and we had a blast! Christian and Dave were really great. They were very clear about safety and demonstrated simple technique, so beginners could pick up the skill and quickly have fun. Honestly, I would have been happy to have my younger kids go as well. Considering it’s only $30/person for 90 minutes of fun, there’s some serious value for the time. Since it’s near some decent restaurants, it’s a great spot to take a date for something a little different.

Went here about 2 weeks ago as my first time ever going axe throwing. All of the staff members were extremely friendly. They teach you the basics at the beginning. They also walk around throughout the session to give additional one on one training to people who need it and they do so without it feeling degrading or embarrassing. First time being here and I absolutely loved it! Tex, the resident axe expert, was badass in his throwing lesson before the session begins. While we enjoyed our experience smashing, we were given items to wear that smelled bad and were wet with other peoples sweat. The goggles were so dirty that we couldnt see properly as we made our way through the room. They were more dangerous to wear because we couldnt see through them at all and we kept slipping on items. We werent properly instructed on what to do and not do. The room we were in was the big room and we had originally had 4 people with us and when one couldnt make it, we were glad once we realized how tight the room was and how little space we had. It was quite dangerous. There was no clock in the room to help us know how much time we had left and there was no fan or ventilation, so we sweat on top of the items that were already covered in other peoples sweat and it actually made me sick to my stomach and I had to run to throw up. When our group made our way out of the room to get some fresh air, we saw another space full of items that had not been smashed already - which we never were told about prior to us going in the room - and all the items that were in the room already were so smashed. It was a bummer of an experience as one of our group members had done this activity before and had given such great feedback that we were very disappointed in our experience. If we do this again, it wont be at this venue and we will look into other spaces in the future. The major issue we had was the unclean gear - especially in a time of covid and monkeypox. I hope they take time to thoroughly clean items in between usage from now on.

Went there for a birthday, did the rage room and it was outstanding. It was worth the time, i loved distroying things and you could always all more. Definitely therapeutic for people with some pentup anger of any situation.

I got great tips on how to stick the axe. I still have much practicing to do, but I really felt like the coaches wanted me to succeed. Overall this is a fun place to take a group and feel like a Viking warrior for one and a half hours. Just be careful and watch for sliding axes coming your way from other lanes.

The staff is incredibly professional and patient when teaching us newbies how to throw an axe. They provided a step-by-step tutorial on how to position your arms, how to stand and step as you throw and follow through. They patiently monitored us as we went through the motions ourselves, and they corrected us as needed. Overall, it was a positive and cathartic experience. Would definitely come back again!

Had an absolute blast at Axeventures during my first axe throwing experience. The facility is awesome and well-kept and the Coaches there are totally supportive and helpful working with newbies like my Girlfriend and I. By the time we left we were actually pretty consistent getting them to stick which was great and Im certain well be back for more!

Had a great experience other than trying to use their shady Groupon. Why not just label it Tuesdays only?? In what world does not valid Wednesday-Monday at the very bottom in small print make sense. Unless your counting on people not seeking a refund so you can double dip.

We went to celebrate my amazing friends birthday. I am so glad we picked this spot! We were all first timers and they showed us the 101 on Axe throwing and it was a great time. They had giant jenga and giant connect four and also some other game you could play while you waited for your turn.Great costumer service and great experience! Made me feel like Jason Mamoa

Throwing axes is fun! The coaches are great and clear in their instruction. Dont be afraid to ask for help if youre not getting it. A simple adjustment will help improve your skills. It can be a great team building, hang out, or stress reducer.

We had a lot of fun at Axe Ventures! We arrived early and played with the cornhole and jenga games in the waiting area. The staff were professional and informative and answered all our questions about safety and taught us the techniques. We were pleased with our experience and felt like it was well worth our money.

My wife set up the rage room and axe throwing for my 60th birthday. What a great time we had! Eric was running the shop and got us throwing axes in no time with his easy to follow instructions. The rage room was a lot of fun too. I’m pretty sure at some point, everyone has wanted to take a crowbar to a piece of electronics that frustrated them for the last time. Here’s your chance.

Very fun place. Relaxing environment. They have some snacks and beverages for purchase and they take debit/ credit card. They also have some games like corn hole and giant jenga. They use a new wood plank for the target and the cage on each side of every lane is great for safety. The quick instruction before you start your axe throwing adventure is easy to understand and follow. I had a blast here. We went early in the day so it wasn’t very busy which was nice because I am horrible at axe throwing. Definitely going back

At first I wasnt sure how we could spend over an hour throwing an axe, but the time ended up going by really fast. The coach kept bringing out different throwing weapons to try out. We had a great time!

As someone that’s been to a few different Ax throwing places, this is meh. If it’s your first time it’ll probably be fun, but the whole place felt lazy. One small axe, a shovel and another item. No other axes. I’m not sure if they have different size axes? None were brought out? The place is massive and I was there with my partner and another couple while nobody else was there and we were put next to each other? Didn’t make sense. Weird vibe overall.If you’ve never been axe throwing, go, it’ll be fun.If you have been axe throwing, not worth it.

Had a great time yesterday throwing axes (and a shovel!) at AxeVentures! The targets were all in great condition, the team members walked me through all the rules and best ways to throw an axe, and everything was clean. Also, the pricing is GREAT! I paid $23 for 60 minutes and since it wasnt crowded they let me run a little over. Super nice people.The ONLY reason I didnt give 5 stars is because Id prefer it if the targets were WATL regulation so I know how Im actually doing.All in all, a great time and I definitely recommend it if you want to have some fun!

Came in this past weekend, and it definitely won’t be my last. It was such a fun time, never a boring moment. The staff makes sure you know how to throw, gives you tips, and they even have a couple games to play while you wait like a Giant jenga, Connect Four.

I had no idea what I was in for when I randomly selected this Groupon! It was actually really cool! The types of moods you might be in to check it out are as follows: If its not quite happy hour, youre going through some type of breakup/loss, and would like to chat with a friend while intermittently hurling an axe at a target- I recommend it! They teach you everything that you need to know about axe throwing, so that you arent going in blindly. Seriously, its a cool place to interact with friends!

Came here for a work team building event. Was tons of fun and the staff coached us up a bit to build confidence and consistency in our throws.Will absolutely be coming again.Protip: this place doesnt have the best airflow so come in something breathe-able .
