I rent from this dealership a lot and the people who I deal with at the rental counter have always been great. The car salesman tho...smh.. I was browsing the website last night and saw a car that I really liked and wanted to test drive. Went to the location, and at first he seemed nice, but after we got back and I said to him ( and respectfully so) that I didnt love the car and wanted test drive another, he turned into an a-hole. He asked, are you going to purchase a car today - and I said no because... and the switch happened. Now, heres, the thing, had I liked the car that I had driven, I would have purchased it today. But me getting to test drive the second car and even being in the lot was only contingent on if I told him I was going to purchase a car that day. He told us, no we cant test drive anymore and to leave because he has appointments and other people were waiting. Car buying is an overly awful experience, but people like this guy... just reinforces it. While I like renting from this place, no way in hell are they gonna get my money again because of that man.

However, in the afternoon of April 30th, we talked to someone who was shockingly rude; she lost our $40,000.00+ purchase:Q: Can you remove the charge for the “clear-coat”?A: No. It’s not negotiable. And it’s not a clear coat, it’s paint protection. [Right…]Q: Will you detail the car—or at least vacuum it?A: It’s a rental car. What do you expect?Q: I am ill. Can you transfer the car to my location, so I can avoid a long drive?A: We don’t do that.Q: I would like to see the maintenance records.A: No, you can’t.Q: Is the car available for the “Ultimate Test Drive”?A: No.Q: Does the car come with two keys?A: No.Q: Can you verify the mileage?A: It’s on the website.Q: Is the car still available?A: We can’t guarantee it will be here when you arrive.Q: What if I book an appointment?A: No.Too bad. First and foremost: they lie about inspection. Bought a car from them with a sludge problem that would never have passed an inspection and yet “there was nothing wrong with the car” - 6 months after purchase here I am with an 7k worth of problems in the car. Problems that are due to neglect. Not mine, theirs.The next step is to call warranty right? Right. The financial team of Avis NEVER sent the paperwork of my car to fidelity.Call Avis? Sure. They say there’s nothing they can do.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Car smelled like an ashtray. Asked for them to detail the car and get the smell out. They said no and I was told it was a rental, what do you expect. Asked for a reduction in price since I have to pay to get the smell out. That was a NO too. Asked if I would get a full tank of gas and was only given $30(1/8th of a tank). If you live out of state you will pay for 2 registrations (CA and your state). Even after I asked specifically if it would be registered in my state and they said YES. I didnt want the paint protection that is optional but was told it is not an option and had to get it. I WOULD GIVE THE A 0 IF I COULD

Unfortunately, this dealership uses false tactics to get you to buy their cars. For example, they make it mandatory for you to buy their Carefree Paint Protection and they tell you that it will cover your exterior paint in case of chips or anything to the paint when it reality it is ONLY for stains on the exterior. Also, the purchase contract says it is optional but they tell you it is not. It is too bad that they are willing to lie about it just to sell you the fake coverage just to make $500 profit.

They advertised my car that I bought from them 10,000 miles less than what it actually was at. I did not notice when test driving a car because the settings on the car will only show the total mileage if you have it on the correct screen and I did not. I went from a very old car to a new car so it took me a minute to understand the technical side of things. When we went to sign the papers the accountant skipped over telling us what the odometer was. So they completely hid it from us and knew that there was a discrepancy on their advertisement. I understand that it was my bad too because I should have caught onto that and read the fine print but after hours on end being there waiting because their computer was slow and having issues we just wanted to sign and get out of there because I wouldn’t get home until midnight at this point. The next day I then start messing with the settings and checking out my cars technical side and I noticed that the mileage was 10k miles over what they advertised. Then I emailed the guy that we were in contact with from the beginning who has always emailed us right back but this time he did not email me back when I told him about this discrepancy. I waited a couple more weeks and then emailed him again and still he has completely ignored me I even asked for him to send me to the appropriate person in regards to this if he is not the correct person to contact. They will probably comment on this saying that it is not true but I have timestamp photos and proof of me trying to contact them in regards to this. The reason I emailed was so that I had this all in writing. There’s probably nothing I can do because I signed the contract with the correct odometer reading but if I can at least let everyone know that you cannot trust this company nor expect a phone call or email once you leave the place they will have nothing to do with you. So pay attention to every little detail because they can’t be trusted. It would be different if they had apologized and acknowledged my emails but they completely ignored me and have yet to answer me back. Maybe this will get them to respond. Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ But this review will stay up until I get a response.

Overall a good car buying experience. The car was a little dinged up but for the price, it was fair. Expect a 12-15% addition to the price you see online because of taxes and title fees. They do try to sell a $499 optional paint protection fee. The finance manager says its mandatory but it says optional on the paperwork. If you tell them to show me where in writing it says its mandatory, theyll eventually take it off.If you come here, you have to speak to Moses. He is honest, funny, and a good guy. The other sales men didnt seem as good.The car drove fine and seems to be running fine for now. Hopefully it stays that way for a few years. The body is a little dinged up but what do you expect from a used car.Overall, it was not a bad experience and glad there werent really any extra dealer fees tacked on to the price. Will recommend for a used daily driver.

It was such a pleasure working with Dominique and Moses. It was seriously such an easy, pleasant, & hassle free experience. Dominique was transparent with the fees and didnt pressure us to purchase extras that she offered. Moses who I called about the car was also transparent on things about the car. So much so that he sent me videos he took with his phone to allow us to make a the decision to drive out to see the car. He wanted to make sure it wasnt a waste of our time to drive out that evening. I came from San Diego with a very strict timeline… they had the loan and car waiting for me I was in and out in 30 mins which is record time for buying a car. Lowest price on the vehicle we needed by 4k dollars. Even had a set of brand new tires. Moses and their loan department made it happen and even beat the loan I had pre approved to expedite the process and to keep my buisness.

I had very bad experience, called them and inquired about a car they told me they had the car, I drove 45 miles and reached with in one hour, as soon as i reached one of the sales persons wlthout even asking details of the car played those good old car sales man gimmicks said “ sorry we just sold the car, but we have some other cars if you want to look at “.This is bad customer service . I had a great experience. Mesrop is a good guy - he had the car ready to drive and paper work prepared. These guys made the whole buying a pre owned car as painless as possible. They have a good energy! Mesrop and Dominique in finance were particularly helpful and informative and appreciatively not pushy! The car (as described by my own mechanic ) is as clean as a whistle. Beautifully presented and a joy to drive. Very happy! The whole process took about an hour. If theyre selling a car here - that you like - you should check it out!

Bought a hyundai elantra here in July and several things stand out about avis car sales in glendale. First they will try to secretly sell you paint protection and roll it into the price of the car at $499. I flat out told them I would walk away if they didnt remove that. That part is a scam they claimed it was in the price of the car when its actually some after market thing that I can only assume they get some type of kickback from the company that sells this so beware of that they will try to hide it in your paperwork and not tell you about it until you start questioning it. Next the car was sold to me with only 1 key, all cars usually come with 2 keys, my salesman was Sal and the finance person was Dominique they simply said the cars only come with one key they told me they would check from their supply chain on getting a second key I have had the car a month now I called numerous times and they will just keep putting you off and never produce a key for you, their excuse was that customers who rented the cars lose the keys and so it only comes with 1 key, so a company the size of avis cant make a duplicate key and remote? Next another missing item the car is sold without any floor mats, most cars come standard with that too again just like the key I was told we dont provide floor mats in our cars. Finally, I highly doubt the car is certified as they claim I looked at the inspection check list nothing was marked or signed off on including as I mentioned keys and floor mats. Take this place with a grain of salt things will start off friendly and turn ugly once you ask for things that should be standard in a car sale.

I bought a car here. Pretty much par for the course for a used car dealership with two exceptions. The lady in finance is a horrible person. She was shockingly disrespectful, I have never been spoken to like that. She berated me for asking what my payment would be for a 48 month term instead of a 60 month term. Absolutely insane that she is allowed to interact with customers as she is unhinged. Second thing is they force you into an extended warranty and a paint care package. Add about $5k of mandatory charges to the advertised price. I also got berated for asking about that too. No point removing it since they just adjust your interest rate to add back the cost.Still, in the end, we got a car at a fair price and now I never have to deal with these people again.To the owners: you have multiple reviews all saying the same thing about this lady. She should not be in retail. Please fire her. You and your son were nice.

I bought the car I saw on the internet, with very few surprises. The only unpleasant surprise was that I was told there was a $499 fee that was required to be paid with every car purchased, but on the actual contract, it said that fee was optional. Other than that small bit of apparent deception, the entire transaction was easy, and otherwise completely predictable. I would recommend buying from this Avis Car Sales establishment, but I would strongly recommend that you say no to the $499 fee they will ask you to pay. It is optional, no matter what they say. Youll see that in the contract.

Moses was very helpful from the moment I called to check on a car I had been researching. The car was clean and drove well even though it was a previously a rental car, which I didn’t expect. It looked better in person than in the photos online so that was a plus. The price was good and Moses helped me figure out financing options & warranties and Re-financing down the road if I needed it. Jim, the manager, was very patient and knowledgeable and explained how the financing and price breakdowns worked so I had all the information I needed to make the right decision for me. This may not be related to the Avis car sale store, but since the Ultimate Test Drive is part of their service so I will leave my feedback here. If you book an ultimate test drive via Avis car sale site and end up not buying that car, you may be banned from booking any other test drive for any car. I did an ultimate test drive for a Santa Fe for 2 hours and decided not to take the car (because of the bad smell in the car). After that, I tried to book another car from the Avis car sale website and suddenly all cars are unavailable on any date/time/location. Interesting, so I tried using a fake name, email, and phone, and guess what? The car is now becoming available. If that is the way you want to do online business, dont waste my time.

Took a while to have someone come out of office (doors locked, at 5pm with confirmed appointment). I had three suv I wanted to view and possibly purchase. Cars are decent, many scratches, dents, scuff marks, dirty interiors, and tires almost bare. Even with that in mind, I was willing to give it a chance.Let me back track a bit..I called ahead of time and made appointment with Daniel, told him my credit situation, and immediately offered to RUN MY CREDIT over phone or online. I decided to come in and see vehicle prior to having a credit dent on my score.Once at location, I viewed 3 suvs, the third one was the more decent one of them all.Now this is where it gets good..I asked to TEST DRIVE the jeep, and they said sure, we need your license and insurance..They denied me the test drive because I didnt have insurance in my person at time.If Im here purchasing a vehicle, I obviously dont have an insurance card 🙄.We said thanks and walked away, to head back to our home which was not close to location at all.After a few minutes, Daniel called me saying he would allow a test drive, but he had to ride in car with us. First of all, every test drive Ive had, requires the sales person to ride with us.. why would I expect to take the car alone?? Daniel said the insurance was standard before test driving the vehicle to cover them. I dont understand how the test drive was a big deal, whem they didnt have an issue running my credit over phone without any verification of who I was, but to test drive it it became a big NO!I really was set on this car, I cant believe that Avis rather loose a $20,000 type sale overall.Very disappointing to see that type of service. I will not recommend this nor come back.Keep your crashed, scuffed, and dirty cars.Ill take my business elsewhere.

My wife and I worked with Moses to purchase a 2019 Mazda CX-9. Moses was great, very transparent with the details of the vehicle and offered to show us the vehicle history before we even requested it. The no-haggle process with the lower price is nice so you dont have to battle out negotiations with the sales representative. Everyone in the Avis office was friendly and accommodating. If you know what kind of car youre looking for and do your research beforehand, this is a great alternative to going to your traditional car dealership.

I have been searching for a car for TWO years until finally I met Moses at Avis in Glendale. He was helpful but not pushy AT ALL.. which, besides the actual car was the biggest issue for me and the main reason why I stopped looking so many times over the past couple years. Moses not only took the time to explain every thing (I’m a first time buyer and most of the language is foreign to me) but he also talked to my dad who was helping me with the purchase. He made the process easy and exciting. Until now, meeting a car salesman always caused anxiety and left me confused. But I wouldn’t even call Moses a salesmen, he was more like a car guide..and he led me right to my perfect, practically new car. Finally, the finance manager Dominique was also a huge help when it came to all the number crunching which can get overwhelming.. she was great and explained everything in laymens terms for me. My previous car of 17 years was a former Avis rental, purchased through a dealer, so Im predisposed to buying Avis rental cars. Ive found them to be a good value. This time, I looked up AvisCarSales in Glendale. They had the kind of car I was interested in, in stock. A blessing in these times.Moses, the sales representative, was knowledgeable, patient and a gentleman. I felt very much at ease investigating the available cars to choose from. Wasnt hurried or pressed.After picking out the one I wanted, I was introduced to Dominique in finance. Didnt plan on financing through AvisCarSlaes, but Dominique offered surprisingly attractive terms. She wanted sell a few extras, but didnt twist my arm. Instead, she simply explained the advantages in terms I understood. The value of the extras sold themselves. Dominique knows her stuff. We closed the deal in short order.Both Moses and Dominique are experienced professionals. It shows in the way they treat/serve customers.I came away with a good car at a fair/attractive price. UPDATE AT THE BOTTOMToday is November 9, 2020. I visited Avis Car sales in Glendale on 11-7-2020. I live in Bakersfield Ca and drove almost 2 hours to look at a Hyundai that had very low miles and the price was right.I was helped my Sal who was friendly and answered all my questions.Long story short I purchased the Hyundai cash and drove it home that night.The very next evening we were driving to Walmart and the check engine light comes on and the car starts to misfire.Yeah, I just bought the car the day before. Yes, I did test drive it and all looked good.Today I am taking in to Hyundai to fix this issue.I will follow up after the repair. Luckily the car has very low miles and still under manufacturer warranty but Im ticked off because I shouldnt be having any issues with a car I just bought.UPDATE: 11-18-2020Hyundai fixed the problem. Bad ignition coil. Remaining manufacturer warranty covered the issue. 18pt inspection came back with everything in perfect condition. After my initial headache I am now completely satisfied with my purchase. My only CON with AVIS is that they will push and push the $500 paint protection fee. So be aware that they will add that to the final price. I got lucky and negotiated that amount down but only because I bought the car cash.

I was in need of a new car badly. After searching plenty of car sales websites and also visiting a couple of car lots I was at a stand still. During my internet search I saw a few cars on the “Aviscarsales” website that I was interested in purchasing. I continued searching but I absolutely did not see any car on any website with a better deal than the ones I viewed on Aviscarsales.com. I decided to go to the Avis car sales lot in Glendale Ca. I entered the lot feeling ok about purchasing a new vehicle but I left feeling great. Salvador Torres (Sal)was the kind patient sales agent who assisted me. Sal was beyond helpful. He was knowledgeable of information about the cars I was interested in. He along with 2,other salesmen and the manager Jim were so very hospitable. They offered me Water and Coffee. While paper work was processing and my car was being prepared/detailed One of the salesman and I had the most pleasant conversation. My purchase was made in a timely orderly fashion. The salesmen guys, Sal and Daniel, really nice and were not pushy when I bought my first car. They helped me pick the right car. I’m not knowledgeable with car sales but my sister is since she has been working at a mechanic shop for 10 years dealing with parts and customer service.When it came to the contract, it went down hill little by little. I wasn’t applicable with the Gap insurance which was okay but they should have told me in that moment. Everything was rushed and not taken slowly. I was getting phone calls to head over there to sign the paper work again at the dealership but I was at work and by the time I finished their office would be closed.I wanted my first time but experience to be good and professional. I let this one slide. What got worse was receiving a letter of “Notice of Election To Cancel Contract”.The person whose responsible was the financier named Dominique Ridler. She has been rude to my sister ever since she asked nicely if next time can they do a better job and not have me confused. We asked her if she can explain what this letter of notice was and why it was never mentioned and she said she told me that the last time she called me.These phone calls are recorded, and I have never ONCE been told that this letter would come through within ten days if anything. And she said she told me when she NEVER did. I was on the three way call and I asked her if I could speak to her supervisor or anyone else. And instead she ignored my request and hung up. Now THAT was unprofessional and rude. I never expected this process to get this far with Dominique treating unhappy guests. If there’s ever an unhappy customer with your service, you don’t hang up on them or refuse their service. You transfer it over to someone else who’d be able to assist them if you’re not willing to deal with it. Just like how it is in retail and sales. I called again to ask for her managers phone number and she denied it by saying ‘he’s not bear at work today’. I don’t care if your boss isn’t there, but don’t be scared and refuse for a phone number when I’m asking nicely. Never going to buy another car from this dealership if it has to deal with Dominique Ridler being unprofessional and rude to clients.

Awful experience. I called Friday around 5PM to make an appointment to check out a car 10AM Saturday morning with Daniel. Had him confirm they still had the vehicle available. Showed up for my appointment Saturday morning-- Daniel was busy with another client despite our appointment, and another sleazy salesman informed me they had sold the vehicle several days earlier. He condescendingly told me that I should have called beforehand to make sure they still had the car. After telling him that I had confirmed, JUST THE EVENING BEFORE and made an appointment to check it out, he shirked responsibility and told me even if I had an appointment I should have called the morning-of (despite the fact that he said they sold the vehicle SEVERAL DAYS prior). It is incumbent on the SALESPERSON YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH to let you know if they sold the vehicle you came to see, not the other way around. I am giving am giving Avis a 1 star review bc I received this letter in the mail 2 weeks after having my vehicle.( the letter stated that they were having problems with the lender and that I was to return my vehicle at my earliest convenience) There was no phone call prior to this notice or any communication from the dealer. The letter is dated for March 27th and I received it March 31st there were 3 business days before I received the letter in which I could have been contacted. After having a mini panic attack and gathering myself I called my lender to see if there was anything wrong with the account there wasnt. Then I called my sales associate and asked if there was something that was wrong with my contract he said he would call me back. I then called the number on the document and when I called Dominique she stated that there was nothing wrong with my account that if after 10 days the lender doesnt respond to them that they have to send out this letter. Another letter explaining this would have been amazing or even yet an email or a phone call. Her only excuse was oh weve been busy. I understand being busy but this letter caused me unwarranted stress that is not necessary right now. We are in the middle of a pandemic life is hard as it is. I was afraid I was going to be without a car once again after finally having saved up enough money to purchase one. This lack of courtesy or communication on their part is unacceptable and I would not recommend.Another thing when I first went in to view the car, only one of the representatives was wearing a face mask everyone else was simply indoors pretending that there isnt a pandemic going on. I asked one of the representatives if he could cover his face since he was in very close proximity to me and his response was oh I get tested every week as if thats important.I am happy with my car but did not need the level of stress that this letter gave me. The lack of communication and consideration for the buyer is where I draw the line.

My first experience was that we made the test drive appointment and the Denali wreaked of cigarette smoke, there was ashes and debris on the carpet, the outside was filthy, and the inside looked like somebody just trashed it! I didn’t even want to get inside! Second experience, they canceled my test drive right before the appt saying it was unavailable. Third experience, we went to the appointment. No car. We called and after some back and forth, we were told there was electrical issues. No phone call or email to let us know! Such bad business practices. They lost a customer. I’m very disappointed with this car. I’ve had this car less than a week and have to replace all of the tires. When you did your 170 point check, did you not check the tread on the tires. 3 out of the 4 were dangerously low. If it weren’t for my front right tire getting a flat, which surprisingly was the best tire out of the 4, I wouldn’t have known that the other 3 were not good. A rep at America’s Tire was surprised that you’d sell me a car with defective tires. Now, I have to replace all 4 of them and I haven’t even had the car for a week.Buyers beware. Ask your sales rep for a copy of the current maintenance reports, including the tires. I declined their after-market tire warranty because I assumed they checked the tire tread and there wouldn’t be a need for that warranty. That’s probably why they make you sign a No-lemon contract that prevents you from returning the car if you find defects shortly after you purchase the vehicle.They told me that because this car was a rental that it got serviced regularly. Thank God the previous person didn’t get into an accident with these worn out tires. I’m not a happy customer!!

Don’t buy a car here! All the salesman there will bait and switch you into buying insurances or warranties you don’t require to purchase the car. They will tell you that you need GAP, Service Contract and a “paint sealant” protection program ($500). It’s all just a way for them to sell you on services you don’t need but force feed you to purchase them. In my case they wouldn’t sell me the car unless I bought their paint protection program. I declined it several times but they insisted it needs to be added on top of the price. As an added kicker you will need to pay tax on it too. I’m disappointed in their integrity and transparency and will never rent or buy from Avis ever again.

I told him, to be able to drive the car in Seattle, I will need the registration and the title to make the transfert. he said no you will be fine without these papers. I asked to talk with someone else, she is the only one that can take care of you, they said. I emailed her back a document she asked in order to cancel some extra things I added in the purchase. no answer to that email. Now, I am here with a car I paid with a 10k down that I cannot drive . what is hurts is that nobody in this car sales seems to care. Even a temporary plate to be able to drive here in Seattle before I get all the papers to make the transfert, they are not able to provide that.

Dont buy here unless you are ready to pay at minimum $500 more than their advertised price. The salesperson will tell you its non-negotiable and will not sell you the car unless you take the paint sealant plan. Which is a worthless warranty in my opinion, plus the dishonesty at this place is disgusting. We had a horrible experience. From them losing our paper work to a 6 hour process from start to finish. Then asking us to drive an hour and a half to 2 hour drive depending on traffic to sign papers they forgot to have us sign. They called at 5 pm and wanted us to go that night during rush hour. Wasnt going to do it. Their errors. I said no. They sent someone over to our place with the paperwork. We signed and thought all was good. 2 hours later we get a call that the papers we signed didnt look like our signature and we need to sign again. WHAT THE WHAT!!! On their website, they advertise an $85 dealer documentation fee for a car on the lot in Glendale, which is the most they can charge as per California state law. On the phone, they admitted that they would charge a $499 dealership fee in addition to tax, tag, title, and fees. I am not sure which legal loophole they are using to get away with that but I do not like suprise costs at the end of the sale (or false advertising). I did not buy the car.
