I enrolled at Audiograph International to take advantage of a tuition reimbursement program at the Motion Picture Editors Guild. As a freelancer, I wanted to develop my Pro Tools skills but also needed to avoid losing paid work days. Founder and instructor Jose Chilitos Valenzuela scheduled weekend classes, saving me several days of lost work and wages. Even when Avids rollout of Pro Tools version 12 reading materials and online certification tests failed miserably, Chilitos contacted Avid and addressed the issue personally. The classes are hands-on, with students physically applying their knowledge of everything from fundamental patching and MIDI controller signal chains to hardware configuration and mixing to picture. Chilitos is a published industry veteran and he brings the knowledge that comes with decades of firsthand experience. Above all, he is an easy-going, patient instructor who puts his students and their learning first.

One of the best investments Ive ever made in myself!I needed the AVID Pro Tools Certification to teach at a local community college even though Ive been running live sound for 10 years and have done numerous projects in Logic and Pro Tools, etc. I thought I was in for a boring recap of stuff I already knew when I was instantly humbled!!Chilitos is the real deal! If you need the certifications or want to learn Pro Tools like a professional this is the spot! Even if you know Pro Tools and dont need the certs I highly recommend taking one of his other classes like mixing or sound design! The level of professionalism mixed with pure kindness and... I just cant say enough!Just go down to the studio and meet him and youll instantly know that youre in good company and could always learn a thing or two. This guy literally wrote books and books on the subject and has been recognized internationally, has a whole laundry list of celebrity music professionals that consider him their friends, and the list goes on.

Truly an exceptional place with exceptional people. Chilitos depth of knowledge of all things Pro Tools and music business is nothing short of astounding, and his real-world experience makes him the most valuable teacher Ive ever had. It was an honor and a privilege to be taught at AudioGraph, and Id recommend it to everyone looking to expand their knowledge in music production. You dont even have to be a musician!

Taking classes with Chilitos is genuinely one of the best decisions I have ever made. This sounds cheesy to say, and through text it may sound insincere, but thats as far from the truth as it could possibly be.I learned more from him in a month than an entire year at the other Audio Engineering school I attended in my 20s. Not only does Chilitos know the ins and out of Pro Tools like most of us wish we knew the backs of our own hands, but he knows how to present it to you in a way that is not only engaging, but catered to your own speciality/interest in Audio Production. If you come from the Music side of things, he can relate it to your past experiences and interests just as well as the Post Production side, and often in the same conversation. On top of it all, he takes the time to get to know you personally and offers some of the best career and creative advice I have ever received (DO NOT skip out on having lunch with him during your breaks).If you want to know how to use Pro Tools the way you need to in order to have a genuine career, this class is worth every penny you spend and more, I cannot emphasize that enough. Make sure to buy his book on shortcuts as well, as it makes the perfect companion to the Avid books.I went through the 310P Certification, and I plan on going back to take 310M as soon as I can.Chilitos, thank you.

I enrolled in the certification program with no prior knowledge of protools or audio engineering. All of the information is reinforced with visual aids and hands-on exercises facilitating retention for all types of students. The small class allows Chilitos to tailor the curriculum to the individuals needs and keep everyone challenged and stimulated. Beyond that, he asks questions to help guide those of us who may be trying something new or seeking a more fulfilling career path. He is a true master of the craft and a dedicated educator. I did a lot of research regarding certification options and I would not trade my experience at AGI for anything.

I took the Pro Tools class up to 210. Chilito made the learning experience wonderful, easy-to-learn and fun. I am blessed to have discovered AudioGraph. This isnt just a place where you receive further audio education. AudioGraph becomes your family.
