My Toyota RAV4 broke down on me, so I had to see about purchasing a new car. Went to Avery Greene Honda, Vallejo and AJ Hirani approached us as soon as we parked and was very attentive to my needs and very helpful with options they offered. Once I decided on a car, took it for a test drive and informed me of all the perks to the car in interest. I decided it was the car for me and AJ made it happen with me leaving in my brand new car. What a wonderful experience I had having AJ as my sales Rep. very Polite, well-mannered, hospitable and made me feel welcomed. Me and my wife went to Avery Green browsing for cars, we saw a truck we really liked a sales representative came to meet us and introduce him self, representative name is Jorge. Jorge asked if we liked a car and we said yes with my wife, Jorge asked us to showed him witch car we liked, me and my wife showed him the truck, I asked for the keys Jorge did not hesitate to grabbed the keys and opened the truck for us, I did turn the truck on, Jorge said lets go for a test drive we went and me and my wife love the truck even more Jorge and his colleagues did the best for us to qualify and get an answer fast for it to be Sunday. Great customer service Jorge you really made us feel like family, very supportive and your honesty and caring is what led us go for the truck. Now we are happy with our dream car.

A car sales representative was available even on Sunday to answer my questions. If you are NOT the kind of person that likes to show yourself off everywhere you go, than the Honda car is a terrific choice. The car is not overpriced, relatively affordable to maintain even if it is not on warranty anymore. My previous Honda car was 16 years old and it had more than 300,000 miles on it.

One thing that I hate about shopping around for a car is that, every sales person will push you to buy which is understandable but to me it is just plain annoying. BUT with AJ Hirani, he gave us the information for a multitude of cars so we can weigh our options instead of pushing us to buy one then and there. He kept it real with us and was clearly transparent about what to expect and how the car market currently is. He even gave us time to look at another dealership and gave us some information with regards on what to look out for. When I went to another dealership, they acted as he said and we went back to Avery Greene to do business with them and AJ. I would definitely would recommend AJ to someone looking for a car in the future!

Beware of the key warranty. Does not cover full key replacement costs. Warranty costs as much as a new key. Warranty company is horrible to deal with as they only talk to dealerships. If offered a key warranty decline and be forceful about it. KEY WARRANTY SCAM

Start of the process was going good and Josh had great customer service but as we got into more of the financial talks of the vehicle, the more it was getting frustrating and upsetting. We were going based off the email that was sent with the car information but Trent who was helping us with the financials, said he couldn’t go any lower than 9.9 and that he tried his very best. Sales manager went lower than what Trent offered which he stated was impossible. As soon as we said we’ll keep shopping around but will call back, Trent aggressively snatched the papers and said okay bye have a nice day. Trent also laughed multiple times at me and my boyfriend and made small remarks when the sales manager pulled us back in after walking out and we kept trying to negotiate on what we wanted. Sales manager Jericho was great and helped us a lot but our interaction with Trent made us decide not to sign even though the final offer was a good deal.

I am very happy my recent purchase of 2023 Honda Pilot EX-L from here. I worked with AJ and he is an awesome sales guy. I had a couple of quotes from around bay area and AJ beat all of them. I wouldn’t recommend going to this place to buy a car or SUV. When I was asked if I want to test drive a car, I told him no and then he proceeded to say well Let me find someone else to help you. Honestly, I find it very rude and unprofessional when he said he’s gonna find someone else to help me. Also, when I was looking at the CRV hybrid, he said they mark up their price 4,000 dollars more than the MRSP price. Very poor experience.

But Im so glad that God got me to meet Special Finance Manager Rocco Marconni at Avery Greene Honda.Previously, my abusive ex-husband had COMPLETLY screwed up my credit, and even though ive been trying to build my credit, its going with a speed of a snail. And within a span of 2 or 3 weeks, I had gone to at least 9 dealerships, and LITERALLY had no luck in getting approved ANYWHERE.Im a single mother of 2 teen kids, and I have to commute pretty far for my work, and I needed a vehicle BAD! But Rocco worked his butt off and got me approved for....a....wait for it.....A 2019 AUDI Q5 PERMIUM?!! I mean, Ive NEVER dreamt of getting driving an Audi!! But Rocco got me approved and made sure I have an EXTREMELY RELIABLE car, on top of that, he gave me SO MUCH good advice about fixing my credit. I can not thank him enough for doing this. I REALLY wish that good karma and good blessings surrounding him and his family. Because you will agree with me that you CAN NOT find people like Rocco Marcconi.I can not forget how much disappointed I was getting and was so disheartened and sad about not being able to get approved ANYWHERE. Took my Accord here for an oil change. After an hour they called and said i need a new oil pan because the drain bolt is stripped and they can’t get the drain bolt out. They said it would cost me about $800 for everything. -_- Hmmm i smell something fishy! So i told the guy let me take it somewhere else first and what do you know there is nothing wrong with the drain bolt or oil pan. Maybe they think they can get away with it because i’m a female customer. It’s sad how they always try to ripped people off. That ain’t right! 0 STAR!!! Find an honest mechanic!

Received pretty bad service today. The time that was promised to me went over 40 mins. I had a coupon for an oil change that also stated I would receive 10% off all other services needed so I decided to get my air and cabin filters changed, I never received it, also I called back and spoke to ALEX because they were a few recommendations for service that Don ( Don was good ) recommend and before I booked it I asked if the prices were the same as a cooperate owned store and he said no that all Honda dealership have different prices. So I asked directly so are you guys higher? He said in lamen yes. Next I usually get a complementary wash after service ( I usually do from a cooperate dealership and I believed I received one before from this establishment last time I changed my oil but I may be mistaken ) and I didnt get that either. Though I see ( because drove by wash and they were washing peoples cars that were serviced. ) other people were getting a complementary wash.There is a famous saying in the car industry: They dont sell cars, They sell service.I truly believe that is the case and people should pay for good service. You get what you pay for. Maybe because I had a coupon they discounted the service they were supposed to provide?I started going to this place because I had a really great experience with the car detail service department. Because of that I recommend friends and family to go to Avery Greene. ( Literally every single one of my family members own a Honda ) and I started going here to get service. The last time I went was a great experience also. Theyyyyy really dropped the ball this time around. I even heard them telling an elder filipino lady that for an automatic she should change her transmission oil every 30k miles or risk having to buy a new transmission for 2-3k. I thought you change it every 60k-100k for an automatic? And even lets say Im mistaken.. ( which I dont think I am.. you can Google this ) this guy was really doing a scare tactic to this poor lady. She was really shaken up.No need to experience it a second time around. Once shame on you... 2x shame on me. Not going to fall for it. I see the service they give

I had likely over torqued or had no lined up one of my bolts when doing a valve cover job on my 2003 Honda Civic. Obviously, that was an expensive mistake. My cost went up 4x from what it was originally, and even 2x what it wouldve been if they did the job from the get-go.Anyway, the rebore the hole for the bolt in the block and got it done that day. The mechanic also put in some bolts & nuts I had lost under the hood & straighten out my driver side door a bit which was a nice touch.

What an experience! So, I wanted to do a trade-in for my old Honda for a newer one which has a manual transmission (I always wanted a manual transmission car). Sandra was the one who helped me through the process of getting updates about l the new car. Everything was perfect about the way she made the deal happen for the trade-in. She is very sweet. I am very thankful about the way the staff members treated me, no hassle.On the other hand, one of the mechanics named Cole taught me how to drive a stick-shift. Super cool guy. Avery Greens Service department is truly top notch. I have had four Honda cars, all serviced by them over the last 10+ years, they truly listen and work with you to reach real solutions, like its a partnership. This has been true for me across the entire service department, from the service advisors to the service technicians to the service receptionists and even the drivers who pick me up, they are all easy going and pleasant to work with.Clearly Avery Green must be taking good care of there employees, the same people are always in the office and they sure treat there customers well, and that is generally the sign of a well cared for employee.

I showed up early, they were accommodating and ready for me. They did not push the sale aggressively. They were forthright about the condition of the used car I was interested in. Jennifer on the floor was very kind and answered all of my questions. Jim(?) in financing was an absolute professional - big praise for him. Had a battery issue and just popped in with no appointment. Service advisor Don McCue wrote up my ticket but before sending the car back to shop he check battery with portable unit to triage. Just bought a new Clarity today, our second car from Avery Greene. Very pleasant experience overall. Showroom looks new and bright. Lots of selection. Got a good price via their online quote tool (better than trying to negotiate in person), so Id recommend doing that first. One warning, they do try and add on some premium security system and floor mats or something, for $1,100. But I pushed back and they removed the charges. Process was a bit slow, but everything was generally easy and didnt feel high pressure. Overall, price was $800 better than I got from other dealers.

I believe I was overcharged for a remanufactured Honda/Acura starter. 06312-rkb-515rm back on 5/28/21. In fact, the entire service seemed like it was incredibly high for a starter replacement. While we cant dispute shop rates and the fact they estimated 1.8 hours plus the diagnosis fee, we can dispute charging more than retail for a remanufactured starter. I talked with a service manager on 6/2/21 because I had researched prices in the area for both new and refurbished. I wasnt given a satisfactory answer on why they charged more than retail pricing. I was deferred to the head service manager, who after almost 2 week hasnt called me back. To make matters worse, they didnt put the car back together correctly and the plastic under tray was dragging.Overall this was not a good experience and I would not recommend Avery Greene.Weve performed all service and maintenance on this car with Avery Greene and it really feels like we were not treated like a valued customer.

My husband and I came in just to discuss what to do when our lease was up in a few months. After doing internet research we thought there was no way to do anything before our lease was up without paying off the rest of our payments, but Albert was able to get us a great deal in our car and we were able to come out even and drive off with a brand new clarity. I made an advance appointment with Shannon Ross. I have to say that I have always tried to book with Shannon as ahe is a non nonsense get it done kinda person like me. However Shannon was off today despite the booking system showing her as available. I needed to get the car serviced so I decided to stay and work with Alex.Well the whole situation went sideways rather quickly when I asked them to update the navigation maps, since I had received an email thar said the update was free. Alex did not know how to do this and wasted a bit of time trying to research how to do it. Then he said that there was a $100 fee to updated the navigation. I explained that I received an email saying it was free and I showed it to him. At this point other service advisors began to congregate and I asked to talk with a manager. All managers were in a meeting except Ashley Singh the assistant service manager. I explained to her what the issue was and as she was trying to resolve the issues service advisor Don MCue got in NY face and said that was not an email they could honor. An older man in a gaiter then can and got involved. I asked that they have a manager call me since Ashley did not seem to be able to manage the staff and handle the customer service issues. At this point I agreed to leave the car while waiting to resolve the navigation issue.I also emailed the Lyle Nick GM and Marty the service manager. And wrote a Yelp review. About an hour later my husband received a text noting they had figured out how to update the navigation and asking me to remove the Yelp review. I responded that I felt as of the whole service department ganged up on me when I was asking for the free offer to be honored,, and I would reconsider should the service level improve.When I showed up to pick up the car servoce advisor got began to use a derogatory tome with me when I spoke with Ashley Singh, Ashley made no attempt to stop him. I spoke with Marty who actually entered the room as Don was launching on his verbal tirade. I explained to Marty that I did not appreciate the intervention of other staff when I am having a civil conversation with Ashley, who is supposedly Dons superior. O explained to him this is exactly what happened earlier and his only response was I dont know how to respond to that. I think that really summarizes the situation, the really dont know how to respond to customers or provide adequate service. Don and the older man in the gaiter really need training in de escalation techniques, Ashley needs to work on managing people Ann speaking for herself, and Marty really need to take customer service and leadership classes as his staff seem to manage him more than he manages his staff.Absolutely no sense of customer service and an overall air of incompetence.

We went to look for a car for my mother as a gift. We saw there was a Jeep Wrangler one of the cars she wants. We asked if we can test drive it and made a face and was like well I’ll need to see a driver license and insurance like if I didn’t had that. We drove the Jeep but after really thinking about it and driving it we didn’t like it. The Jeep was not in good conditions for the price they were asking. Price negotiation (which for me, is typically the biggest turnoff of any car purchase) with Sandra over the email was easy and painless. Purchasing process went fine. However,the car wouldnt start 3 times within a month, its a brand new car with less than 800 miles! Had to take off work and wait hours at their service center for them to figure out that the problem is from a bad battery. While waiting, I could hear other customers also had battery issues. No loaner vehicle was available if they need to keep the car, its extremely inconvenient and frustrating! I would not purchase another Honda nor recommend them base on this experience, doesnt seem like they inspect their vehicles before selling.

I was in the market for a new car, specifically the 2016 Civic LX 6MT, and had reached out to several dealers in the east bay and north bay areas. Danny Trujillo was the first to reply, so I gave him the terms and payment amount that I was looking for and he was able to put together a great deal for me.We scheduled a test drive for the following day and when I met with Danny I immediately felt comfortable. Danny and the whole staff were very friendly and courteous. He did not rush into wanting to talk about purchasing the vehicle which we liked. I Made a appointment with plenty of time In advance for a recall on my car, I show up at 9am for drop off, guy (ALEX) who checks me in confirms that they have the parts, he even tells me they are replacing the fuel tank. I ask how many hours will it take, he says it will be done by the end of the day, 5pm. I leave and come back home, which is not vallejo, I live in Richmond...3 hours later I get a call back from ALEX who tells me that my car has not been started due to them being short staffed and it wont be done today if they start now... ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?!!! How do you NOT know you are short staffed by 9am and why would you not tell me when I was there!! instead my car sits there for 3 hours before they realize they cannot do it!!??? I am livid!! I wasted gas,time and paid toll 2 times today!! this is extremely unprofessional and VERY inconvenient. I have to work tomorrow, I cannot leave my car there over night.I asked to speak to his manager but he is off today! WOW! A few days ago Kimberly followed up via email to see if I had been helped and my reply below is the same I sent to her, word for word. Color me surprised that she never responded.After talking with Albert over the phone I went down there today. To say I was displeased with the condition of the minivan is an understatement. In previous correspondence (not sure if it was Albert or someone else) I made it clear that I do not want a car with anything more than normal visual wear and tear commensurate with its age, in this case a 3 year old car. I explicitly stated I was not interested in a car with any actual dents or damage.When I arrived, with my family in tow, I find a back bumper that was obviously damaged in an unreported accident. So much so that the bumper had an approximate inch long tear from presumably being either pulled out and bent or crimped inward to create such damage. I spent an hour driving there and back and maybe 15 seconds of inspecting the car before it was an obvious no. When I said yeah, Im going to pass, thanks he replied thats it? to which I said yeah, the car was obviously in an unreported accident and Im not interested in that. His reply was yeah they only report the accident once its been repaired. Dont you think that maybe, just maybe he might want to disclose that bit of information, especially considering there werent any online pictures of this?What really irked me was when Albert told me over the phone we can do $21.5k but we cant go any lower. I replied lower for what, like damage or mechanically related? He said any of that, $21.5k and cant go lower. Reading between the lines he knew it had damage. The pictures didnt show this damage. Him nor the other guy told me about the damage.I dont enjoy being played or being a pawn in some greasy sales tactics thinking that I can be hoodwinked once I step foot at the dealership. Apparently I showed up earlier than he was expecting, who knows what he was going to have done to try to hide the damage. Either way, it was a waste of my time and I dont appreciate being treated this way when I made it abundantly clear that I did not want any car with that kind of damage, regardless of the price.So no, I didnt get everything I was hoping for. I wont be returning to your dealership regardless of any future deals nor will I for servicing.

Garbage customer service and lack of sales skills!I visited Avery Greene Honda a couple weeks ago with a vehicle in mind to purchase. I arrived and was greeted by a female sales associate, I forgot her name, and was asked what I was looking for. After I was done walking around the vehicle she said we have other vehicles over here, I asked any others in that price range and and she says no. I tell her I dont need to look at any other vehicles then. She didnt bother to ask if I was ready to purchase or if I wanted to test drive the vehicle she just walks away and joins the group of sales associates conversing outside the showroom door.I decided to give them another shot so I went there yesterday to see a vehicle they had posted on their website. My dad had contacted them online first and received a text message from someone named Kim. When we arrived we asked for her and they had no clue who she was so my dad asked for the sales manager. My dad has purchased and helped others purchase a total of 7 vehicles from this dealership. They asked us to sit in the lobby and after about 5 minutes or so were told the sales manager is busy and Joe the associate who greeted us was going to help us. The sales manager Brian was standing around doing nothing when Joe was looking for the vehicle we were inquiring about. Come to find out the vehicle was a trade in and wasnt even ready to be sold yet. No smog or vehicle safety inspection had been done yet. Joe found the vehicle and walks us to the very back of the lot to take a look at it. I ask Joe why it was listed for sale already and he had no clue. We were only able to walk around and look at the car from the outside but they were wanted to sell it to us right then and there. We make an offer on the vehicle and were quickly denied with no counter offer. We ask what the bottom line price they would sell the car for but they wouldnt give us one. Joe tells us to make another offer and he can submit it for review. My dad tells him this is why he wanted the sales manager so we wouldnt have to go through this back and forth with Joe. Joe says sorry I can just show you the car and hope you buy which makes him more of a lot attendant than a sales person. We decide to leave instead of playing the back and forth. After discussing everything at home my dad submits another offer online. My dad receives a text from the sales manager saying were $700 sum odd dollars different in price and with some flexibility maybe we could make a deal. My dad goes in today and they didnt want to budge at all with the pricing. So were supposed to be flexible but not the dealership. My dad texts back after leaving saying thanks for the flexibility of $0 off the price. My sales and service needs will go elsewhere. No response back from the manager.In response to the response from owner:After going home and discussing it we did make another offer $389 above our original asking which was met with no response. We did try to negotiate and showed flexibility but did not receive any on your end. When we made our initial offer we were not even met with a counter offer so there was no negotiation on your end at all. We were told you can submit another offer and I can see if they except it. No sales tactics at all from your lot attendant you guys call a sales associate. Your pricing was valued solely on appearance and mileage on vehicle considering it had not even been inspected yet for any mechanical/safety issues the vehicle may have had.

I don’t trust this place anymore because January of this year I took my car so they can install a strut mount and so I can get an alignment. I thought they did it correctly, however just last week, 3 months later, I took my car to get another alignment because it was steering to the left. Then they showed me that the right strut mount was way off and was not properly aligned by Honda. Also, the paper showed me the casters, cambers, and toe was off as well. I tried to speak to Rick about the situation and that I wanted a free alignment because it was their job to do it correctly but then Rick calls over Martin Bateson and Martin says, “ I don’t want to speak and we don’t give free alignments, either pay or you may leave.” He didn’t let me speak to him about the situation. DON’T go to this HONDA if you didn’t buy a car from them. They will screw you over like how they did to my dad and I.

We found a vehicle on their website that we wanted to purchase. We are out of the state, but were willing to drive to California to pick up the vehicle or have it transported. Our credit union contacted them requesting the paperwork to send the dealership their money, but their general manager, A.K., refused to sell us the car because, He wouldnt be able to sell the vehicle anymore if our credit union gave them the money for the car. Interesting - I thought that was the point: I give them their money and they dont sell it to someone else. The car is already sold. It didnt make any sense to us that they would advertise a vehicle on-line, but then not work with someone unless they were physically at the dealership. We actually considered making the 9-hour drive to the dealership to purchase the vehicle, but after reading the reviews written by other customers we decided it was not in our best interest to trust this dealership to keep their word on the on-line advertised price. If you are going to use 21st century advertising methods, then be willing to use 21st century purchasing methods. I wonder how the Honda corporation would feel about how this dealership is treating loyal Honda customers? Very disappointing experience. :(

BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE IN 30 YEARS!!!It is, unfortunately, exceedingly rare now a days to experience exceptional customer service anywhere; especially at a car dealership. My wife decided that she would take a drive to Avery Greene Honda in Vallejo, CA. I was hesitant to send her there by herself, because of our and her past experiences with dealerships, specifically being oversold and to put it mildly screwed on the pricing. Well was she and I surprised! The world class service started as soon as she walked in. Politely greeted by the receptionist, we were introduced to Albert Guzman. He showed Susan around, showed her the cars available. Took his time to compare the Hybrid Honda Accord and the new Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid. Albert explained all the features, differences and then they went on a test drive. She absolutely loved the Clarity. They got back to the Dealership and began the paper work. Albert turned her over to Daniel Lopez. When they were all through, Susan called me and told me everything. The whole process took about an hour and half. Susan asked Daniel if they could finish tomorrow so I could come and see the car, look at the extras, discuss financing etc. Without a second though or hesitation he said yes no problem. In the past, we have had finance managers go ballistic because they knew for sure that the sale was walking out the door. Not at Avery Honda. They actually wanted to make sure that we were ALL happy. We sat down again with Daniel to discuss financing, and added a bunch of extras, protection package, and few other miscellaneous items. So much for Concord Hondas BS “No one can or will match that!Now remember the contract was already printed a second time and done. Daniel had quoted Susan a cost of a 125k mile warranty. So when we ask for it at the very end, it was different. Daniel Lopez honored his previous verbal agreement. This was absolutely amazing!! Not a big difference in cost but just the fact that he did spoke volumes of his leadership and this Dealership.The contract was printed for the 3rd time, we signed it, our car came up and we were introduced to Brian Foster. He gave us a tour of the car, and we were then told that the charging cable was not in the car. He immediately ordered it for us and had it sent to our house where we received it within two days. Absolutely amazing.Well we took the car, and if you could believe it, we got a flat tire on the way home. We took the car to get it repaired and ran into a slight problem... no wheel lock key. We immediately called Avery Greene and would you believe it they said that they would take care of ALL costs related to removing locking lug nuts, any rim damage, and even helped us with the Zurich Tire protection claim.When we went in to have everything fixed, Shannon Ross and Paul Simon Remollino took care of us. I had a Multi-Point Inspection last March 16, 2019 and paid $879.39. After 2 days after the service, the under shield of my car opened up and I had a very very tough drive coming all the way from my work at San Francisco going to Vallejo. They closed it for free but I was still disappointed that after paying the huge amount for an over-all inspection, that incident happened. After that long drive, it might’ve damaged the cover underneath as well for it was touching almost every hump even if I go really slow.Also, they said there was an oil leak and they had to put a die to locate it but when I came back after a few miles, they weren’t able to locate where the leak was and had to put a die the second time.After 3 months, June 15,2019, I had a change-oil service and again, after a few days, the under shield opened up again and I noticed a small tear in the rubber, which is I think was caused by the sloppy work they did during my March service. And they can’t still locate where the leak was.November 2,2019, I went back to do oil change. Now they said they were finally able to locate the leak and that I have to pay $1,100 to fix everything, including the replacement of the broken cover underneath.My car is only almost 2 years old, and I already need to pay $1,100 just to have my valve cover gasket replaced, and have an oil pan reseal; 2 things that weren’t taken care of immediately for they couldn’t figure it out earlier.After my car is fixed, I am never going back here again.

Found a 2012 Civic Ex-L listed since 4/01/13 on Auto Trader for $18,400. Listing said there was navigation and miles were 24,833.Arrived to look at vehicle and found NO navigation, and miles were ACTUALLY 28,700.The right rear passenger side had some significant scuff marks in the paint. We stated that if we were to purchase the car, the scuffs would have to be repaired.We were told our purchasing process could be completed in a matter of 25 min since we were on a limited time sched. and were willing to just come back the next day and work things out. No, they said we will take the car to the body shop and have everything ready for you tomorrow, then screwed around for an hour leading us on about waiting for paperwork, when really they didnt have enough personnel available to to get us taken care of in the time frame they told us.When we returned the next day, nothing had been done to scuffs and we were told we had to complete the purchase in as is condition although we had in writing new car condition required.After all we had been through they tried to tell us the man assisting us had only been there a month, so that was why he was promising things that couldnt be carried through. However, that man was not there because he was getting married that day, interestingly enough, they were all talking about going to his reception that evening because the civil ceremony was private. So, you invited all your co-workers to your wedding reception having only known them for 4 weeks???What they didnt know is he had told us that he was the one to post the add on Auto Trader almost 2months prior and he also had someone he was training shadowing him through our process.Every single person we dealt with at Avery Greene was caught in more than one lie throughout our experience here except for one man. And they wonder why car salesmen have a bad reputation! He was available when he said he would be and helped set up a few simple things on the car so that it was easy to drive away. Best price we found on the specific model and features we wanted of all the Bay Area. The only complaint I have is that they put cheap wiper inserts on the car. I was there on December 22nd because my daughter wanted to buy an Accord. We have bought many Nissans so we thought give Honda a chance. We had talked to the Financial Manager Lyle, who wasnt even available to talk to. You walk in there and people dont even greet or acknowledge your presence. I have never seen such a bad customer service. So about wandering for 2 hours on the lot, I went inside and questioned the 2guys in the front.I was told, Ohhh, it is cold, maybe. Thats why no one is outside. We still waited for someone to talk or to show us but after that we gave up and went to Toyota Marin where my daughter bought a brand new Avalon. I was disappointed because since I live in Vallejo, I thought give them a chance. I think the management should give extensive customers service training to its team. Originally came here primarily interested in the new Accord coupe and loved it. Hugo helped us out and was very patient, kind, and not pushy at all. He showed us all of our available options, features, and even guaranteed the color I wanted. After finding the Accord wasnt price fitting for us, he suggested trying out the Civic Coupe, which was actually waaaay better since Im a tiny girl - it was a much better fit for me! My boyfriend recently went in for an A1 service on his 2018 type r. He absolutely loves that car. He keeps it clean and notices every detail. We had a representative help us and it went smoothly. We got home after the service and noticed 2 major dents on his back passenger side. Which were in fact not there before. We called Avery Greene to ask them about it. They called us back after reviewing cameras to find out that one of their service associates damaged it. We had witnesses of this phone call and when we went back in. They denied everything. Told him it was a curb scrap even though it’s on the back rim? And the tire sticks out further than the rim? Which was ofcourse, a major inconvenience. A $50,000 car. $2000 now damaged rim. I would not recommend doing business with them.

This dealership doesn’t provide prices for services/maintenance during scheduling process online.Update: 07/20/21The dealership wanted to charge a total of $1400 for a spool valve solenoid replacement and labor.The rear spool valve solenoid is under $300 for the part and the labor (time spent to replace it) was less than 30 minutes.The part at the dealership was over $700 and the labor was over $600.So they charge over $600 for 30 minutes of labor.I was able to get the OEM part for a fraction of the price and did the replacement myself. Total cost: $276.94 shipped with a labor time of 26 minutes. And this is coming from someone who has only worked on his own Toyotas and never touched a Honda.Next the mechanic who I paid to do a multipoint inspection failed to examine my air intake box. The hose that connects from the intake box to the intake manifold was falling apart and was disconnected from the the intake manifold. I replaced the intake hose myself in less than 10 minutes with the total cost of $27.23 shipped.Lastly the mechanic failed to examine all suspension components and only pointed out one failing shock while other suspension components have slack/movement and deteriorating. For just the rear shocks to be replaced (shocks plus labor) they quoted me almost $700.For the very same OEM shocks/struts (this for literally front and rear), coils/springs, strut/shock mount amongst a few other parts in the suspension kit, it was just under $600 shipped. Installation cost is to be determined as I haven’t found a shop yet until I get back in town.All in all, not very happy with the outcome. From now on I will avoid this dealership to find flaws for me and I will get the OEM parts and either install it myself or have a mechanic install for me at a fraction of the price. I will try the Honda dealerships somewhere in Concord, Walnut Creek or Vacaville.. anywhere except for this dealership in Vallejo.

I went in for a tire change, place was empty, I just wanted to buy and have one (1) tire replaced. They offered a 300+ tire, but I knew of one marked at 170 dollars. So I called another shop to get it replaced and they MIRACULOUSLY found a tire at the exact price I said. shocker. Then they said it would be until 12pm (it was 9am at the time) for the tire to arrive and another 20 minutes to install and balance. It is now 2.51pm and the number they provided for me to get updates had not responded to me once. I have had to call and they assured me 40 minutes and they will call me, that was at 1.30 pm. It is now 2.52. I would be less angry if it didnt feel like they were being spiteful for not wanting to shell out 300+ dollars on a tire.Update: as I was writing then I received a message stating they were almost done, it was 2.54 pm. And also offered a discount for inconvenience. Bumping them up a star. But I will never get these 6 hours of my life back.UPDATE: Initially I was told my sensor for the tire pressure was broken and that I should replace it, I argued that it was working since I knew my tires were leaking air, then they offered a tire repair to try and save the tire, but I knew it was bald and declined and asked for a new tire. Upon getting the tire change my broken sensor returned to normal. ALSO, when I went back to get my car, I was told my car was brought out front, it was not. I had to go to the service area and it was blocked in between two cars by the service area. I pulled out without asking for assistance; and any reservations about this Honda trying to screw me over vanished. They probably fixed the tire early and made me wait the whole day. Sorry you didnt get a commission, but Im not going back to this Honda. And if anyone is willing to drive a little more for service that isnt incompetent: Hendricks Honda is a better choice. And if youre in the Daly City area, Atech Auto is by far better than this place. Changing my rate to 1 starFINAL UPDATE:during my visit I noticed they had a car they were working on blasting music from the radio. I hoped they didnt do that to my car; but coincidentally enough, my battery died shortly after this visit. Also, for body work and repairs Carstar body best in suisun city has, by far, the best service experience I have ever had.

Our experience with Stephanie at Avery Greene Honda couldnt have been better.Get this: 65 minutes from start to finish including the test drive and arranging financing with Hondas $0 down lease promotion. For about the last 7 minutes we were just waiting for her team to finish washing the car and fill up with tank.She didnt try to upsell us. Didnt play any of the games that car dealers are famous for. She gave us the exact car we were looking for with nothing out of pocket and the payments advertised on TV. The previous dealer we visited ate up 3 hours of our time and tried to get us to pay $600+ up front and $40 more per month than the nationwide promotion that Honda is running! (overall increased costs of going with the dishonest dealer would have been $2,000 higher)When Stephanie turned us over to the finance manager to finalize the details that experience also went off without a hitch. No games, no excuses for making it cost more - no high pressure tactics to add additional coverage, etc. Stephanie obviously told him that we wanted this car for this payment with nothing out of pocket and he paid us the courtesy of not trying to add anything else.If you are smart enough to look to Yelp for reviews prior to making a purchase, then there is no reason ever to accept inferior terms. By all means - go to your closest dealer and test drive the cars you are interested in but if they play any games at all or try any high-pressure sales tactics hit the door and get on Google and find what you are looking for. You will always be able to find a nearby dealer willing to accept the terms that the manufacturer is offering.Sure - you have to qualify for the promo - but Honda lets you apply directly with them for the financing and know for a fact what you are qualified for up front BEFORE you go to a dealer.To sum it up:1. Stephanie was phenomenal2. They didnt try to trick us into taking something different than what we wanted3. They gave us the sales promotion exactly as it is showing on TV4. I had to return a total of three times to complete a simple repair window washer not spraying properly.Mind you for the first visit I paid 392.45 for other repairs I had done. First visit- multipoint inspection- I was checked off as green (okay)for windshield washer spray(this let me know it was not checked by the mechanic).I showed the customer rep. before the multipoint ck. was started and after the check that they were still not working . He spoke with the mechanic and I was told that the part needed to be ordered and to return the following day for the repair. Second visit I returned as instructed waited 30 minutes to be told the part was not in. Third visit the part was in . I was told that the left washer sprayer works but not the right one(mind you the right side was working when I brought it in)and that they do not have another replacement part to check the right washer and no other solution was advised or offered. I felt basically on my own. After the third visit my washers are still not working.Very dissatisfied with the service I received.

I contacted all the dealers around bayarea and theirs was the best. Initially I was little hesitant to drive my 90 minute drive to Vallejo, but I gave a shot and Im happy for every minute. They kept the promise and they gave me the same price and was not pushed for anything. I should have read these reviews before I walked into Avery Greene Honda. I actually came to this dealership 3 times. I was interested in a used or new honda which ever was right for me. I knew I had a student loan on my credit but was open to different options. My sales guy came off very friendly but was only interested in selling me a new honda, so I took him up on his offer. He asked what I could put down I told him. He didnt seem happy with that I doubled what I told him and he still wasnt happy. He then called me the next day stating if I could put down triple of what I told him I could put down. He didnt care to show me other vehicles I could have purchased or that better fit my budget. If you have perfect credit I do recommend you go to Avery Honda if not save your time and go somewhere else. Im a Toyota gal now.....

This place has a poor rating for a reason.The salespeople are sleazy, pushy liars. If they hadnt had exactly the car we wanted at the price we wanted, we would have left.We researched and decided on our 2012 Honda Insight LX before we ever went to the dealership. We made an appointment for a test drive 24 hours in advance. We drove down from an hour away. We were in constant direct contact with the salesperson (Steve), so he knew exactly when wed arrive.When we got there, we were told that 5 minutes before we arrived that theyd let someone else take the car for a test drive, and if they signed first, theyd get the car. They showed no empathy or respect or regret for what theyd done.Then, they tried to force us to buy an aftermarket KARR alarm which they lied and claimed was already installed. They obviously thought wed be scared into rushing to sign. Luckily I read the sticker in the window that said the alarm was deactivated and would be turned on at the customers request, and yet they still tried to tell us they wouldnt sell us the car at the advertised price unless we bought the KARR alarm. Then after we said wed buy the car, they ignored us and let us stew, wasting hours of our time instead of just getting the paperwork done.Needless to say, we spent several hours stressed out and irritated. All we wanted to do was buy the car wed already picked out, at the price theyd advertised.When they passed us to the Finance Specialist, we ran into the only redeeming quality of that dealership: Lyle Loomis. Lyle was refreshingly honest, direct, and helpful. Id buy a car from him any day.By the time we got the car home, the tire pressure warning and low coolant level indicator had come on. This was a Certified Pre-Owned Honda, and yet they clearly had not serviced the car before selling it. We just cant *wait* to find out how many other service-related problems are going to crop up after weve had the car for a while.In short, avoid this dealership like the plague.

Maybe it was the sales technique; Their assessments of our credit (which is very good) did not match up with ours.(smart phone in hand to prove it)We were actually offered a really good interest rate, yet the sales person felt the need to let us know they could not give us the best credit because we had never taken out a car loan before and how could the bank trust us with no prior loan record.Ok....So, after being yold we were untrustworthy we said this was our first stop and we were shopping around.Our Salesperson let us know that by shopping around we would actually lower our current credit rating followed by most people just come back to us anyway.We googled it right there, a credit inquiry at a dealership is what us referred to as a soft inquiry and does not lower a credit score. ??I really feel they had the opportunity to sign us right then and there and due to sales technique we are looking at Hondas through other dealers.Had they made their offering sound like the best thing since sliced bread, and talked up the positives and refrained from insinuation and inacurate info, we would have been all in, win, win, win. Avery Green would have sold a car, someone would have a sale on the board and possibly a nice commission and wed be in our Family Car.My Husband thinks three stars is generous.

Dave Colello was great. Called him on 3/1 due to his positive reviews here on Yelp. He wasnt working the day I called but still was able to help me out. We worked on what I wanted and was upfront with no games. We scheduled to meet and talk everything out on 3/3 at 12pm.3/2 he called and asked for me to fill out an application so that the process will go faster and that I wont have to wait when I arrive on 3/3. Once I filled out the application online, I received a call from Lyle Loomis/Loomey (I think thats how you spell his name) and asked further questions to get the ball rolling. Not even 30 minutes later, he called again and said everything is ready to go. I just need to choose between the Honda Pilot EX or EXL. I ended up choosing the EXL and they took it off the lot so no one can take it.When I arrived 3/3, I was immediately greeted. Dave looked for the car and then we had our walkthrough. everything was still wrapped up. We went for the test drive and then we finalized the numbers. The parts department is terrible. I tried to purchase manual transmission fluid for my 1999 Civic SI and the counter guy kept telling me how the NEW 2013 Civic SI took somewhere around 2 quarts and that was how much fluid I should put in my Civic. I know for a fact that it takes nearly double that amount of fluid and the counter person kept arguing with me about it. He kept quoting the specifications for the 2013 Civic SI when I clearly stated (multiple times) that my car had NOTHING to do with the new Civic SI. He wouldnt even look up the specification for the 1999 Civic SI.Pricing is also laughable. You go in there 3 days in a row asking for the same part and youll get 3 different prices.I will only go there if Im in a bind because their staff talks to customers like the customer is completely clueless when in fact (in my case) the customer knows better than the drone behind the desk.

I had first and last time dealt with Avery green honda. They provide me a true car certificate for a price on honda odyssey which was too good to refuse. So I called them and spoke to Daniel Lopez and he confirmed he will honor the price quoted.I confirmed twice before driving all the way up for 2 hours to get the deal. Other dealers had warned me about the scam those guys do, so I had double confirmed before going. Even after reaching there initially Daniel Lopez said yes he will honor and we picked the color of the car and he went to get the car. Later he asked for the mail he had quoted the price. While I was waiting for him to get the car, he came back and suddenly said, there is something wrong in true car. True car is different company and suddenly refused to honor his price. I mentioned he had commited even on phone and he said, whatever it be, he will not honor the price they had quoted and were asking more than $1300/- more. This place is a scam and never trust them on what quality or kind of car they will give. Finally, it wa a waste of my busy day and those guys had no remorse and Daniel Lopez went to extent of saying, ok I wasted your time but I am not going to do anything about it.I just want to let others know, avoid this dealership as you can never trust what they say or even give in writing. I spoke to true car and they said, they will consider removing this dealership from their network.Not sure what happened after that. Atleast I got my van from a different dealership.

I was going to write a perfect review for AVERY GREEN Honda in Vallejo, but, with both the General Mgr and the no calls from the Original Sales person and a bad follow up call from the other agent. I get this is my fault. I wanted a new so badly and had been looking online for a couple weeks.(Never bothered to look at the reviews just looked at the cars!!) I asked my mother to take me because she was supposed to be the bad cop. I came in and basically bought the first car I saw. I had just turned 22.....After talking with friends and family I realized I got ripped off!!! I was a first time buyer and put 6k down on a 25k used Honda accord sport 15 with 16k miles and 670 ish credit score. This was Feb 2016. I should have gotten some discounts!!! Also I looked at other Honda dealership websites and saw that cars from the same model and year with 3k LESS miles than mine where 3-2k cheaper!!I had talked to other sale Reps before and they parted some of there wisdom on me and I felt like was being schooled, but in positive constructive way. JOHN LU, who sold me the car did no such thing. There was one elderly Hispanic man that I saw with a client doing just that. Schooling them in a positive way. Didnt catch the gentlemans name. But JOHN LU only sat there and tried to make small talk. And we waited a while, they where busy.I feel cheated out of what should have been a great and wonderful experience. I purchased a 2011 Honda CRV on 1/30/14 with 84mo/100kmile extra warranty from Norm Reeves Honda of Irvine | Honda Dealer Irvine California | New Cars, Used Car Dealership when it was Fladeboe Honda (apparently a recent ownership change). I asked several times (with witness) if it was truly bumper to bumper and was told YES. I needed to make sure I didnt have to put any money into it for several years except for oil changes, etc. After less than 5 mos of ownership and less than 2k miles put on it, the battery dies. After the 3rd jump today, I took it to Honda Dealer Honda Cars in Vallejo CA | Civic Accord & CR-V | Avery Greene Honda I was told that it wasnt covered. After discussion with General Mgr at Avery and phone call to GM at Norm Reeves, they arent willing to do anything for me at all. $120 for new battery and thats that. Two years from now would be one thing, but I just got the car. They sold me a car with a battery that was already past its warranty and expected usage date. Its probably 3 or even 4 years old. It SHOULD have been changed out in Hondas Certification standards because it was likely due to fail very soon. This is my issue. For probably $35 cost, they could have replaced a battery that was about to fail and past its expected usage date. Instead, I get stranded 3 times with a car I just bought a few months ago. BTW AAA rocks and were ON IT right away to jump the car so I could take it to Honda today-literally 15 mins from call to engine running! Yay AAA and why Im over a 20 yr member there. Treat me well and I will be loyal forever-thats how it works with me. This is my first Honda though, and Im not impressed by their service despite all the ads saying how Helpful they are. Once Id exhaused, nicely, every person I thought could help me, I forked over $120. I asked if they could at least give me a free oil change or car wash and Andrew said hed wash it for me. Turns out that was a rinse-down with a hose and semi-dry and I STILL had to go to the car wash after! Nothing inside was done and the outside still had considerable road dust and bugs, etc. all over it and windows were all smeary. Lastly, when I bought the car, they were so nice, even buying me a candy bar and soda because it was talking so long to get the car ready. I was starving today, but Andrew didnt offer to buy the candy bar, I had to and he didnt even offer me water. Not a huge thing, but considering the 2.5 hrs I spent dealing with it and his even agreeing that they SHOULD be able to cover it but policy is policy...it would have been a nice show of good service to at least get something to drink and a candy bar on a hot day. He was nice and its NOT his fault, but he did have opportunity to make it better and rather failed there with the bad car wash and lack of customer care. Silver star for being nice though. Im disappointed that Honda touts themselves as such great customer care yet wouldnt even agree to change out a battery for free that should have been replaced before it was certified. I did my part. Paid for the best and longest warranty and got the oil change before it even needed it. Least they could do is cover a battery that should have been replaced when they saw it was already past its use date before I bought it. $120 lesson today...how much will it cost me tomorrow is the question? Honda needs some work in their valued customer service department. I am 51 yrs old with disabled hands and limited income. I expected more from them when I paid for bumper to bumper warranty and they wouldnt honor it. I really hope this isnt a prelude to lots of problems with this car and with Honda.

I considered driving to Fairfield, after reading many negative reviews online regarding Avery Greene Honda, in Vallejo Ca.However I just needed a key w/alarm made, so how hard could that be I thought and made the appointment. The cost was to be 155.00 and I was told my key and car would be ready in a couple of hours.Within an hour my phone rang, it was Darrell for Avery Greene and he said my key was ready, however there was an issue, with the key machine, he had to order parts to have it fixed. So this key they made would only work in one direction in my car. I started to get upset when Darrell calmly said if I make an appointment to come back in the following Monday, he would have the key remade and I would get this key made for free.I agreed and went back today, well Darrell in service handled everything and even had the first key cut on both sides for me for my inconvenience. I shouldve known from the get-go I would have a bad experience, since most I read most reviews are horrible and plus past experiences of family members that have gone and friends. I still went in to give it a shot. first time I went I was completely ignored completely and looked down on like if I was the a homeless person, anyways his name was WAYNE his name and he was on his cell phone the whole time, everytime I had a question he wouldnt even look at me to answer. So I just politely said thank you and left . I decided to go back just to see if I qualified for theyre promotion they have(2.9%interest) this time I spoke with ALBERTO. In the beginning I told him I wasnt in a rush to purchase a vehicle I just wanted to see what rate I would qualify. He asked me what I was looking for and I told him I wanted it to at least be 3% no higher than that. He turned in my paper work and said that since I have good credit it looked like yes it would be able too. So we took a look at the car and everything seemed well. Once we went back to the office and they showed me the numbers I felt in easy because no where did it show I was actually getting the rate I was looking for. I asked him if it was for sure I would get that rate because there was nothing written he admitted that they never submitted the paper work to the banks because they were closed. So he told me hed call me the next day.Next day (BEING TODAY) the tone was much more different. He knew I wasnt going to be hustled with and I knew my numbers. So he straight up told me not to waste his time or mines. No bank would offer me the interest rate I was lookin for why bother submitting the paper work if I wasnt going to be ok with the 5% or even 8%. I calmly told him that was fine I was in no rush to buy a car. The unprofessional representative ALBERTO GUZMAN proceeds to give his two cents into my personal life and how we manage our household income and housework. Which is NONE OF HIS BUSINESS! His job is only to answer my questions and help fine what Im looking for. If he cant do that then he should just say that from the beginning. He was the one wasting his own time. I told him from the beginning I only wanted to apply and see if i qualifies for the 2.9% that is all. And he STILL has not submitted ANYTHING! So who is wasting whos time?!!!!!

I took my car there for a package service that included changing all the belts, including the timing belt, and the water pump. While this service was performed adequately, theres more to it.A few weeks later I took the same 93 Honda Accord to a mechanic that had been recommended to me by a coworker who had been a Honda mechanic for 30 years. I took it to Khoi at Honda Specific in Fairfield to have an oil leak checked out. In the course of inspecting it for the source, he noticed that the valve cover gasket had not been changed. While this is not specifically a part of the service, every mechanic Ive talked to, including one at another dealer, said that this most definitely should be a part of that service. It is a $5 part and, yes, in order to change the timing belt you have to remove the valve cover.I went back to the service department at Avery Greene and asked if changing the valve cover gasket was a part of the package that I bought and he said no.Fair enough. Every dealer has its ways I suppose. But they charged me $950 for that service. The independent mechanic would have charged $500, and another dealer quoted me $750 including changing the valve cover gasket. (That was Steve Hopkins Honda, by the way) If I pay a premium price and get cut-rate service then its no bargain.In short, they charged too much for too little. Lesson learned: never again.On the plus side, they seem to have been competent enough to change the timing belt and water pump without causing problems.But do yourself a favor: save money and go elsewhere.

The sales person kepy trying to push their financing, but we were already pre-approved through our credit union for $16K. the saleman left to talk to his sales mgr, and came back with pricing for the vehicle. In the pricing there was an additional $7000 dollars to purchase this vehicle!Of course i understand that their were fees, taxes, license and all the other normal costs that you would expect when purchasing from dealer and were covered by our loan. But what we did not expect nor was this ever revealed to us, either in person or through their web site was additional costs for Lojack and for Alarm.The cost for the Lojack and the alarm are NEVER indicated anywhere nor was it ever revelaed to us at ANYTIME that we dealt with this companies employees. Only when we were ready to talk about financing.Their website advertisement for this car indicated that the cost of this vehicle has been REDUCED FROM $19,988!, $400 below Kelley Blue Book! This is a direct quote from their advertisement. On 11/17/16, I was cross-shopping for a 17 honda pilot and called in THIS store to ask for the availability of the pilots and if they will take order just like any other stores. The internet sales person unkindly said several times, What Are You Trying to Achieve? Under warranty, the front drivers window would not operate, leaving the car almost useless - no freeway driving, cant park it anywhere cant drive in the rain.They couldnt schedule a repair for a week, and wouldnt give us a loaner. I went in for an oil change, which includes a 12 point inspection. The inspection was not performed and according to the receipt, the battery failed the test but no one informed me of this or offered to sell me a new battery. Poor service and a missed opportunity.

I have had mixed experiences with them... But the last experience left me extremely upset. I had to keep calling them about my car because they kept it for two days when it was supposed to be a two hour routine maintenance service. Turns out my car was ready the day I dropped it off and the service center staff was so incompetent they lost track of the paperwork and my car keys. Again, extremely upset.

I highly recommend Avery Green Honda of Vallejo go in and see NORA MEACHAM she is the best willing to go out of her way to get it done for you and get you anything plus the great price on a new car. Thats why I bought my new 2017 hybrid Honda Accord from her. I dont care what anyone says she is te best. Been to alot of dealers and I wouldnt even give those dealers 1 star. The three employees I have had experiences with Chris, Jim Fox and Tersa Poblete while on Avery Greene Honda lot engaged in deceitful, dishonest, and unethical behavior. They all took part in a coverup of a hit & run that incurred great bodily harm and totalled my vehicle. 2004 Kia registered to employee Tersa Poblete ran a stop sign at high speed broadsided me and my motorcycle. Vehicle was positively identified by broken trim parts from crash site matched to wrecked vehicle in Avery Greene Parking lot. Employee Chris and Manager Jim Fox said vehicle hadnt moved in 5 months, coming in wrecked. Records verify it came in wrecked 5 months prior but records also show it had been repaired and retitled as Rebuilt Vehicle, meaning fully operational, by DMV two months before hitting me and taking off with no regards..I wont do business at this establishment, with employees lacking integrity, without respect for their fellow man. An when you see the mark ups they have on regular services you would lose your mind. 90 dollars just to look at your brakes !!!! That’s insane.
