Great place to rent at. The management at this property was amazing, and KC and Matt were super responsive all concerns. Pricing was transparent, unlike some other places where are always hidden costs in the fine print. The apartments are not brand new, but the management does a good job in doing capital upgrades on the property. Highly recommended!

Lived here for over a year and had a great experience.ProsThe staff members were amazing - both the office crew and the maintenance crew. I recently moved to the Bay Area and chose Avalon Mountain View because it had really good reviews, nice apartments, and in a safe area. I’ve loved it here so far, and the leasing office community is super helpful and friendly! Shoutout to Matthias for going out of his way to help me out!

We lived here for more than one year until August 2020. Overall, we had a mixed experience. The personnel and service was consistently great. On the other hand, the apartments are old and the appliances are cheap. If you are coming from another Avalon, like us, you will likely be disappointed.Pros--------+ Good location within walking distance to Castro street where all the restaurants are.+ Very good maintenance staff, always responsive.+ The pool is nice.+ Amazon lockers.+ Covered parking spaces.+ Beautiful green spaces.Cons---------- Caltrain tracks are very close. You can always hear the horn. Building E is very close to the rails.- The buildings here were constructed in 1983-1984. According to a member of the staff, there was a renovation around 2006. As you can see in the photos, there is a lot of room for improvement. Indeed, I question the safety of the stairways (see the pics).- The appliances are cheap and low-quality. There is one old window-style A/C in the living room barely enough to keep the apartment cool. This is especially true for the top units. The bedroom has no A/C so it is hot in the Summer.This Avalon community should really be advertised as Eaves (lower-priced community brand also by Avalon). With the same rent you can find better apartments nearby.

This is a review for Matthias at the leasing office. I went for a tour of the apartments. Matt was great and provided detailed information. He answered all my questions patiently, and went above and beyond to give me tools and data to make an informed decision. I lived here for three good years. One of the best communities to live in the heart of bay area both in terms of location as well as staff members. Walkable distance from Castro st, el-camino real and google MTV office. Century 16 and safeway are within 1 mile radius. Matt and KC are super polite, cooperative and approachable. Overall very tech friendly in terms of paying rent or raising a support requests either online or through an app. Also not to forget this community has its own amazon locker for all mailing needs.

I recently moved into Avalon Bay Mountain View and had an exceptional experience, all thanks to KC and Matt. Their assistance throughout the moving process was unparalleled - they were both incredibly helpful, ensuring everything went smoothly. The community here is wonderfully serene and quiet, surrounded by lush greenery that makes you feel like you’re living in a park! It’s a delightful experience to be part of this community. Great management and maintenance team. Super responsive, quick, and very kind. Lived here for two years and was very happy with the overall neighborhood. Very walkable, safe, and community-focused. Biggest positives were definitely the weekly food trucks, amazon lockers, and responsiveness of the maintenance team.Only downside weve seen is that calling the office has become automated so you wont be able to talk directly to the office immediately. Theyre very fast at responding but sometimes you want to be able to talk to someone directly right away.

Honestly, I wasnt having the best day, I felt overwhelmed, stressed and possibly may have been experiencing an anxiety attack. I dont recall exactly why I entered the leasing office, but Matt greeted me as per usual and his calming demeanor, zen master vibes snapped me right out of my funk. Im here to acknowledge and highlight how polite, punctual and professional the staff members are with retail and residents. Matt is a reflection of management, KC has also provided me excellent customer service on numerous occasions.

We lived in Avalon Mountain View for a year now. We always find it agreeable when it comes to the service the complex provides. However there are some major cons.cons:- Inconsiderate neighbors and poor management enforcement. Loud phone call on the patio day/night, dog poops not being picked up, watching video in a high volume at night, walking in the complex WITHOUT wearing a mask during pandemic, leaving a mess in the garbage disposal area with unflattened boxes.Management only send out email reminders which no one reads. With no enforcement, issues would always persist.- Inadequate safety precaution for Covid-19. Still seeing residents walking/wandering in the complex. At least put a sign to remind wearing masks!- A/C is very old, and LOUD. It also drips water to the AC downstair— the dripping sound can literally drive you crazy at night if you are a light sleeper.- Water can drip through the patio wood panels, which can be very frustrating if you want to hang out in the patio and your upstairs neighbor overwater their plants.- No light fixtures in living room or bedroom. Don’t let the switches fool you, those are for the wall outlets. We had to live in the dark for a few days until we bought the lights.- Noises, from Caltrain and construction.To be fair, caltrain is not that bad, as long as the windows/doors are shut. We lived in building E, which is the closest building to the Caltrain, but on the further side, the noise level is all right inside the apartment. Outside can still be quite loud.But the construction noise is penetrating as it’s happening right outside your door. It usually don’t last too long overall(like 1-2 weeks?), but it’s hard to concentrate/rest during the day(9am to 4pm)when it happens.pro:- The complex is well maintained, lawn is mowed weekly, pool is regularly cleaned, tree trimming, etc.- Requests are always fulfilled in time, usually the next biz day- Dog poop bags are generously provided- Amazon locker(not sure if it’s a pro, recently I noticed the packages are outnumbering the cabinet count, and left in mail box area unattended)- Positioned in a relatively safe area even without a gate(but do hear from management team that car break-ins happened lately in November)- Close to central expressway and 101

We have absolutely loved living at Avalon Mountain View the past year and a half. The staff is so friendly, caring and personable. All staff members take time to get to know their residents, and provide excellent customer service. Our water heater recently went out, and the maintenance team replaced it that day. The office staff is quick to respond to questions and queries. It is a joy living here, and we are so blessed by KC, George and the entire Avalon Mountain View community. Thank you!!

I leave in Avalon for 2 years and overall had very good experiences living here. The management is great and folks are very friendly. They responded quickly on requests. And the community is very convenient to shopping or highways. And the area is quiet except cal train pass by, but not that bad actually. I also like the open facing corridor so that always have fresh air. Overall a great place to stay.

I am living in Avalon for over a year now and I love living here. The apartment community is beautiful and very pet friendly. Every staff from leasing office to maintenance have been super friendly, informative and very helpful. Every maintenance request I have raised has been acknowledged within 5 minutes. I have a dog, Milo, who enjoys every day treats from Geo during morning walks. I have moved every year in the past but have renewed this year with them because of their amazing customer service and amazing staffs. Thank you KC, Geo, Oscar and all the amazing staff for your hard work. I am having an amazing experience living here.

I have been living here for around two and a half years now and I have had an excellent experience. The property is well-ventilated and maintained impeccably throughout the year. The team is always communicating through emails about constant maintenance and improvements to the common areas and my own apartment repairs. The web portals run great, and its easy to request service or get in touch with the office for questions. The staff, KC, Matthias, Frank and the others are friendly, quick to respond and effective at handling all questions and service requests promptly. Ive known them for all my time being here, and they are the best part about this place. I am convinced that they have the residents best interests in mind and theyve helped keep Avalon running great and feeling fresh all the time. We very much enjoyed our stay at Avalon Mountain View. The property is spacious with plenty of room for parking, and ideally located as it is a short walk to all of the fantastic restaurants in downtown Mountain View. The staff are very helpful and quickly resolved any issues that we had with the apartment (e.g., replacing light fixtures, old toilet parts). The building is on the older side, but we never had any major issues and all the appliances and apartment features worked as intended. Overall, it was a great stay that we will remember fondly.

I loved living at Avalon Mountain View! The apartment managers KC and Tara were always super nice and helpful. They also regularly organized community events, and gave out roses/candy on Valentine’s day and had a wrapping station in the office for Christmas! Every week they have a food truck on site, and it’s really fun trying out different cuisine without really leaving the apartment complex. I also think the place is maintained really well, and always felt safe in the community (police station is a block or two away too!) Although I don’t have a dog, I think it’s a perk to have the option to have one. A lot of apartments in Mountain View don’t allow dogs, but I saw people walking dogs of all sizes, plus there is a dog park. The staff also recognized my wedding and gave me a gift and a card, and it made me feel really special 😊 Finally, in unit laundry and AC really sold this complex for me. I love the proximity of downtown and El Monte shopping and dining. Thank you guys, I will miss living here!!

Most helpful & caring staff!Any requests are answered quickly (more than prompt; almost comically fast) and with great care. They advocate for their residents well-being. I have lived here just over a year, and with every request I have submitted I have always received above and beyond service. Staff is always friendly and waves or says hello. Happy to live here!A quick example with the promptness. I emailed the property manager, Tara, this morning regarding a couch I wanted to get rid of via the citys charged service. I put no timeline regarding response. Within no more than 5 minutes, the maintenance supervisor & technician, Geo & Oscar, were at my door to get a size up of the couch. They advised they could have it taken care of the very next morning (a Saturday!).This is the best apartment experience I have ever had. Its priced really competitively with other complexes in the area, but when you look at the amenities, safety/crime & overall living experience, youll see its well priced under market value.Not an employee. Not a paid review. Just a happy tenant.

We have yet to move into Avalon Mountain View, but we have already had such an amazing experience working with the Office in preparation for our move. We have been shown amazing customer service from the entire team, especially from Community Consultant Stephanie Lorenzo. From answering 100 emails with questions and concerns to accommodating timelines, Stephanie has been our savior through this whole process. Overall, this entire team has truly gone above and beyond and we already feel like were a part of the community. Cant wait to move in a few weeks!!Update: My husband I have been living at Avalon Mountain View for about a year and a half, and we LOVE living here. The grounds are pretty and the apartment is super spacious. We love how close it is to Downtown Mountain View and how walkable everything is. But we continue to be impressed by the staff. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and always available to help with any little thing. Geo is so friendly to chat with in the morning, and KC is always around to help answer questions. Myrna is an absolute sweetheart. The rest of the team is just as incredible! They really care about our community. Plus, our newest favorite perk - they bring food trucks to us every week! The maintenance team and office staff at Avalon Mountain View are the best!! Reported problems with our washing machine on Tuesday and by Thursday a new one was installed 🙌🏽. George and Oscar are always on point. Friendly, personable, and always delivers top priority service with a smile on their face. I just wanna say that the staff, KC and Tara, are great. Theyre personable and nice. Theyre really prompt and friendly when answering calls and emails. They know me by name even though weve only met a few times briefly. They hold my packages when Im late to pick them up. Over the holidays, they set up a free gift wrapping station and also held a photo contest/raffle. They sent us (the winners) a gift basket of cheese and olives and the cutest handwritten card. Ive never had a good landlord before, so I tend to try and fix my own problems - but so far, the team here has been really nice and prompt about our maintenance requests. It makes me feel a lot more comfortable about asking for help, and I think thats really important.On that vein, let me list a few less-obvious facts to someone who might be looking to live here. The insulation is great. Our unit is directly next to the CalTrain tracks, and its dead silent as long as the windows are shut. Ive also rarely heard our neighbors through the walls and, even then, barely. Our unit has really good heat retention. Ive never run out of hot water in the shower. The maintenance team regularly clean the common areas, like the garbage area, and they do a good job. The sewage has never backed up.As for cons, there are only a few. The complex is absolutely a dead zone for cellular. There are occasional silverfish. Doordashers get lost sometimes. There are no electric car ports. One of the electrical outlets is kind of wonky and not grounded. The smoke detector is kind of sensitive (either that, or the stove fans arent that effective).

I moved to Avalon Mountain View in May from the East coast. I was worried about moving across the country in the middle of the pandemic (since I couldnt visit any properties), but the staff at this Avalon made the transition extremely easy and seamless! KC is one of the friendliest people I have ever met, and the rest of the people in the office are also super helpful. The complex itself looks great- the grounds are well maintained and the actual apartments are pretty spacious. The neighborhood is very nice- it is safe and also about a 10 minute walk to downtown Mountain View which has a lot of restaurants and shops. There are also amazon lockers that packages get delivered to so that packages can remain safe. Overall I would highly recommend Avalon Mountain View!

I stayed at Avalon for a few months and really enjoyed my stay there. I must say that in this case the staff really made the difference in making the move as painless and the stay as pleasant as possible. From meeting them over Zoom for a virtual tour and asking questions, to arranging to have the movers drop my furniture there while I was still on a flight to SF, to actually looking at the move in inspection sheet the moment I dropped it off and immediately acting on items that needed fixing, to just generally being amazing and organizing food trucks and Christmas packing stations, Tara and Sidney deserve all the praise they can get for running the place so smoothly. I just loved the fact they seemed to know everyone by name and always greeted them with a smile!

Great service! Matt is life saver and he is the best and kindest guest service agent Ive ever known! Right before I was leaving for vacation, my laundry machine stopped working. Ive been living at Avalon for 9 months now, and this has to be the best apartment complex Ive ever lived at. Its peaceful, safe, close to downtown, and has an amazon hub locker and designated parking spots! The apartments themselves are spacious, clean, and the walls are thick enough to keep out noise from neighbors AND the Caltrain. My unit (1st floor) also has an AC and a washer/dryer. They allow pets, and I often see residents meeting up in unofficial dog park at the back of the complex.The team here really goes out of their way to make residents feel at home. In fact, my first interactions with the team (especially KC and Tara) was one of the big deciding factors for me when I was touring apartments. After I moved in, I was excited to find out that a different food truck comes every Thursday! They also have raffles once in a while, and even a free gift-wrapping station around Christmas.Id highly recommend this place to anyone whos looking to live in the Mountain View area!

I’ve been living here for 2 years and just signed on for a third.5 stars for the staff here- everyone from the leasing office (KC, Mae) to the maintenance crew (Geo, Oscar, Hilda, Myrna) are so helpful and kind.The apartments are older and not renovated, but I guess it’s reasonable for the price range here. It works fine and issues are fixed quickly by the maintenance team.The ceilings/ walls can be kinda thin, but it’s tolerable as long as you have understanding neighbors. We had some noise issues and KC and Mae were great in helping us with them.

Here is my opinionPros:- Maintenance staff (Geo, Hilda, Myrna, Oscar) is prompt and excellent always.They take extra precaution during COVID-19.- The proximity to Castro street and the neighborhood is plus.- They apartments are dog friendly.Cons:- The apartments are old so there can be some features that are missing compared to newly built apartments but for the price and location it’s a good deal.Overall I don’t have anything negative to say and my family continues to have a good experience staying here.

The staff (which changed over time) was always excellent, friendly, helpful, which was a welcome difference from other similar communities. The place was very nice, the gardens around the community agreeable for short walks, great shared amenities (that we stopped using during the pandemic) and such an amazing location: you can walk to all the restaurants of Castro street or the Caltrain in about 15min, and are center to the bay area. 5/5

I am a new resident at Avalon Mountain View and highly recommend it to everyone looking for housing in the area. I am most impressed by how well kept and responsive the place is to residents’ needs. Everything is very clean, which immediately sets the place apart. Jessica at the leasing office is truly incredible. I was unable to visit the area to look for housing, so my search mainly relied on calling different places to find out more about them. She patiently and thoroughly answered my every question. Beyond the apartment itself, she explained to me its location in the complex and the city and its ideal accessibility to public transportation and major highways. Once I was there, she gave me a tour of the whole complex and my apartment and responded to my every concern by collaborating with Avalon’s maintenance team. Avalon Mountain View is the most responsive community I’ve been in touch with. I always hear back right away versus the sporadic communication I had with other communities. The community itself is very pretty and well laid out. It has a very nice pool and BBQ area and fitness center. They also plan fun community events for residents, such as holiday parties and brunch. My only suggestion for the complex so far is to change the fitness center to 24/7, as its 6 a.m. opening is too late for my work schedule and possibly other working professionals who live in the community. Overall though, I am very impressed with Avalon Mountain View and am thrilled to be a resident there.

Ive been living here for almost a year and I could not be happier. Very peaceful community, very well maintained apartments, maintenance comes within 24/7 hours, and the staff that run the front desk are ridiculously helpful and kind. I also have a cat and the complex is very pet friendly, and all the animals seem to be live well together.I was in a bind recently, and needed a LAN cable to do some data transfer. I really didnt want to head out to Walmart, Best Buy, or back to work to get one and thought I would ask the front desk to see if they had one I could borrow. Low and behold the kind gentleman at the front desk finds one in the backroom and lends me it!Would recommend if its in your budget. 10/10EDIT (April 25, 2018): I just want to reiterate how awesome this apartment complex is! I have moved out of this complex to move closer to my new job, but accidentally sent my tax documents to my old address here. Richard was able to help me get into contact with the new current residents of my old address and have them turn in those tax documents. Lived in Avalon Mountain View for more than 4 years and enjoyed my stay here. The maintenance team is quick and effective in fixing any issues. Parking is ample and its easy to park larger cars/SUVs. Location is close to everything: restaurants, Walmart, Target, Costco, etc. Apartment complex is safe and has amazon lockers for secure package delivery. Never faced any major issue here only downside is apartment interiors look very old and dated.

Awesome customer service. I lived at Avalon Mountain View for 10 months. During my stay here, I had no unhappy experience with the management team. I usually contacted Richard for accommodation issues. He was always responsible and considerate. He showed a warm smile every time we met, and for every accommodation issue I reported, he got it down within the same day or the coming workday. Ive lived at Avalon extremely happily for over 2 years, and hope to stay for years to come! The location is amazing, walking distance to Castro and Rengstorff Park, short drive to 101, but little noise. I love the many clean amenities, like pool and gym, dog friendly, grills, etc- with reasonable and responsible adjustment due to covid. The grounds are very well maintained and well lit. Overwhelmingly my neighbors seem kind, quiet, and respectful.But I also think it is the staff that make this a stand out place to live, particularly, Tara, Geo, and KC (and those before). They are always friendly, professional, and available, but have gone above and beyond for us in many ways. I am particularly appreciative of all the little extra community building events that they do like Food Truck Thursdays, holiday events, movies, etc. They communicate very effectively via email and Avalon Access about Amazon packages, notices, etc. As an all women household, we feel very safe here.The leasing office team, along with the maintenance team, have helped us through renovations and cleanings (carpets, repainting, installation of fire safety devices) go very smoothly and quickly. After the updated sprinkler installation, they even thoughtfully sent us an apology gift basket.Thank you to the Avalon 1600 Villa Team for providing us with such a wonderful home!P.S. UPDATE:We clearly told the leasing office (by email and by submitting a hard copy request for pre-moveout inspection, see attached photo) that we did NOT want to participate in their clean sweep program, yet they billed us $150 for it anyways.In addition, the leasing staff initially did not respond to our request for our pre-moveout inspection due to Not performing due to COVID-19 social distancing. This is ILLEGAL. The laws in California about the tenants right to a pre-moveout inspection have NOT changed! Also, we made the request for the inspection in March 2021. This is no longer lockdown times like it was in March-April 2020. There are methods to conduct a socially distanced pre-moveout inspection--you guys just didnt want to do it and used the pandemic as an excuse to skirt the laws. After multiple emails and calls, the leasing office finally relented and sent Oscar (maintenance employee) to conduct a pre-moveout inspection on 4/9/2021. Note that this was only a week before our moveout date, while California law stipulates the inspection should be conducted at least 2 weeks prior to moveout.Finally, they added a random $65 charge from Solution Cleaning Service, even after Oscar noted no damages or cleaning needed. See attached itemized apartment receipt from Avalon. Oh and that receipt says we said YES to their Clean Sweep Program--thats incorrect!For anyone reading this, dont expect to get your full security deposit back unless you fight for it. I dont know if its this complex or AvalonBay as a company, but theres some shady s*** going on. Take high resolution pictures of the apartment. Save all your invoices and forms you deliver to the office. Keep documentation of all this because if you dont, theyll do shady s*** like this!OLD REVIEW:Pros: Maintenance staff is awesome. Front desk staff is great too and tries their best to accommodate. Grounds are well maintained. Apartments are generally okay but theres some issues (see below).Cons: Apartments are old. Wall outlets are very loose and feel like theyll rip out when you unplug something. Theres some noise from the train and neighbors. Theres frequent construction and maintenance of the grounds (e.g. railing repair). Theres major construction next door for the Villa MV apartments by Prometheus. Our washer has been defective for over a year (it almost flooded our kitchen once). It was finally replaced with a brand new GE washer/dryer unit, but that turned out to be defective too (would overheat and smell like its burning). The GE service technician came twice and still the issue has not been resolved. Avalon maintenance has been excellent about this issue, but in some ways their hands are tied.The biggest complaint is more directed towards Avalon as a company and not the staff at Avalon Mountain View. Avalon is a greedy leasing company like any other company. They consistently increased our rent to the maximum allowed by law. When COVID struck and rent dropped by ~40%, they refused to budge on our existing lease. Transfers to cheaper apartments in the community is more or less impossible. Youre stuck with your rent price for the 12 months. Other smaller leasing companies around the area (not the big name companies like Avalon, Prometheus, etc.) will sometimes try to help out tenants. I understand theyre a business and all, but when you treat your customers like ****, you should not be surprised when many of them (over 25+ vacancies at time of writing!!!) leave when their lease is up. We will too when time comes.

Its just enough space for us (although Id certainly like more closets!) and our cat.The in unit washer and dryer is more than convenient. Despite others saying they are small I find myself having no problem stuffing a bit extra inside, dont forget that clothes will shrink when watered down! There is enough room. Theres a dishwasher, fridge, and electric oven. All more than enough in size. And there are endless cabinets! With AC, this place cannot be beat.Parking: I have two vehicles and while Im only given one covered parking space I have no problems finding an uncovered open spot for my second car.Landscape: Its gorgeous. Come see it for yourself. Theres even a pool that is well maintained!! Im looking forward to using it this summer. :pThis is a very friendly and safe community. I see children running around occasionally without a care because theres not a chance anything could happen. The neighbors are all friends and willing to help each other out. I feel completely safe here. Having moved from the city, safety is very important to me.Yes, there are bugs. Every place with foliage is going to have bugs. To combat this the apartment offers free big exterminations every Tuesday and Thursday - very convenient and kind. But always be prepared to deal with one or two little creepy crawlers here and there.Animals are welcome here! It can be a bit pricey but nothing someone living in the heart of Silicon Valley wouldnt expect.If youre finding yourself reading endless reviews like I did, just schedule a tour. The worst that can happen is you dont live here.

Right from booking the apartment, to moving in and to living here, it feels like living in one’s own house. There is so much of a personal touch given by leasing management folks. Suzanne and Richard, leasing officers are the best agents we have ever met. We have lived in 5 communities till now but Avalon Mountain View experience is one of the best, classy and homely. Maintenance guy, George and his team is just one call away and although hardly ever there is any maintenance issue but nevertheless he is very supportive and sorts things like a family. Gym is well sufficient and poolside is nicely kept for residents to bask in the sun at summers. Parking is superb and can accommodate a big size SUV. Mountain View downtown- Castro is 3-4 min walk which allows us to party late ;-). Complex is peaceful and residents are very respectful. While the apartments are older and need some facelift (internal and external) the maintenance and office staff teams are top-notch. Everytime Ive had an issue they have shown up to fix within a couple of hours; anytime Ive had a question the office team has been available with a ready and reasonable answer. They accept pets, have three bedroom units, with in-unit w/d, and you can lease online in the middle of the night! Their online portal makes it easy to view your bills and submit service requests, which are answered within minutes at times. I am not currently living in bay area and cannot visit the property in person, but I need detailed information to make quick housing decision since my relocation is just weeks ahead. If you have a dog, this is the best place complex I have seen. There is a dog park and everyone knows each other by their dogs names. Downtown and several parks are walking distance. Gio in maintainence gives dogs treats and every dog knows him.I have been locked out a few times and maintainence is very responsive. They have food trucks come once a week which is nice. I have not been able to use the gym or pool yet because of COVID. The train is a pro and a con. They have construction repairs almost every week. Be prepared to wake up to loud drilling right outside your window weekly at 8:30 am, sometimes multiple mornings a week. Absolutely ridiculous - as my sleep has been severely deteriorated in the past year living here.My roommates and I sent them many emails regarding this, which the leasing office ignored for months. However, they sent us emails requesting for updated proof of renters insurance. TLDR: Avoid. Flea/Bedbug-infested apartments. Incompetent, management that will ignore you and lie.We moved into Avalon Mountain View in #226 on the 9th of August 2020. When we toured the complex, it was apparent that it was in bad shape. The buildings are old and look rather dilapidated with poorly maintained staircases and decks. This was an early warning sign that we unfortunately ignored.The initial few days we got used to the thumping sounds when anyone walked on the decks above us, the roar of the Caltrain behind our building, and continuous deck repairs with drills and hammers that started at 7 am. On the 18th of August night I discovered bite marks on my abdomen which were from either bedbugs or fleas. We immediately called the maintenance and the leasing team.They sent a person from the pest control company accompanied by a maintenance person who demanded to see the bites and vociferously claimed that there were no bedbugs here and these were flea bites--as if that makes it any better. Both were extremely aggressive and poorly behaved. They barged into our bedroom without our permission, did not care to keep their masks on. They claimed that the previous residents had a cat that probably caused the fleas. When we called the leasing team later, they said that they had no idea if the previous resident had a pet. I do not know who was lying. These two people asked us to vacuum the place regularly which we did--and we still got bitten for a week later. They were clearly negligent in preparing the apartment for us and anyone planning to rent there needs to know this.The leasing team had promised us VIP treatment for all our maintenance requests in the first 14 days. But after this initial encounter, no one picked up my follow-up calls or replied to my emails after my initial complaints. After many of my calls were ignored I called from a different number and it was immediately answered--so the leasing team is either incompetent, dumb, or malicious. Neither of which is desirable. They were extremely polite and responsive prior to our signing the lease, but promptly ignored us afterwards.The only good thing about Avalons lease is the 30-day guarantee term, where you can get out of a lease within 30 days of moving in. Our experience at Avalon was so bad that within a week we started looking for a new place and moved out after 17 days. The Avalon team sent us the bill after moving out and added $165 cleaning fee that they took out of our deposit. We stayed in their flea/bedbug-infested apartment for 17 days, regularly cleaning it, and they had the shamelessness to charge us a cleaning fee.

We have been here since Dec. and we love it. Bianca, Andrew, George, Ed, Yesinia and all the staff Rock. If you need anything they are there to help, they always say hello to us and are very friendly. Our fridge went out and they replaced it within 1 hour of my service email and also credit us for the food we lost. Best place Ive lived in 10 years. Thanks M&M

I was able to tour a one bedroom apartment unfortunately I’m looking for a two bedroom love about all the amenities inside the apartment and around the community. KC was really helpful in explaining all the aspects. Everything is very well-maintained.

Avalon MV is excellently situated near restaurants, homey downtown, public transportation, supermarkets, and many more. The community is diverse, friendly, peaceful, and safe. The staff is amiable and responsive. Cost is pretty good as well. Been here for almost two years and counting.

Im only a new resident here at Avalon, but i have to give a stellar A+ to Richard Kim in the leasing office. I had to find an apartment site unseen and do all of the paperwork from NYC, then move in late at night on a holiday weekend - and Richard made it all possible. He was such a huge help for making this come together.

I was a resident here from 2018-2019, and just received a package delivered at this address (in 2022) and the management was nice enough to call me about it, and then upon my request send over images of the package and contents too. Great response time and very kind people too!

Even though I did not end up renting from here, the people I’ve met during the tour were exceptional. They were very courteous and helpful throughout, even when I called to cancel the application and request for a refund of the holding deposit.

Spacious apartments with all the amenities. Most apartments do not have central A/C, but have a wall mounted unit. Is usually good enough for the summer. Staff are quick to respond to and fix problems.

Repairing service is really immediate here. In this August, one pipe in our laundry room was broken, and workers came to repair in one hour after reporting and clean floor after repairing.One problem here is noisy issue, because apartment often conducts repairing and upgrading and it is noisy sometimes.

This apartment complex is a magnet for sex offenders. Right now, there are at least two registered sex offenders living in the complex. I sometimes seem them hanging out by the pool. Im disappointed that the management does not do background checks on tenants.
