Celebrated our one year wedding anniversary with a trip to California and one of our stops was at this lovely hotel and we have nothing but great things to say about the service and attention. The aesthetics in the rooms are beautiful!! They made sure to make us feel special and celebrated. We want to highlight the amazing service Carlos from the front desk gave us during our stay. I wish every hotel had a Carlos!! The breakfast at the restaurant was great as well. And the gym area and equipment were A1!! Will definitively come back.

This is a renovated 1950s style motel. The rooms are decorated nicely with some amazing marble tile work and stone (yes stone!) furniture. The carpet in our room looked to be nearly original (and in need of replacement). The beds are very comfortable and the linens are as good as you would hope for from a boutique high end hotel.There is quite a bit if road noise and noise from adjoining rooms and the courtyard. If possible, try to stay on the 3rd floor, otherwise you may hear peoples footsteps above you.Note that there is apparently a separate building in addition to the main building. While I did not see the other building Id surmise the main building is where you want to stay.Hotel staff was friendly.There is a hotel restaurant and bar. I felt the service at the bar was friendly but inattentive.Prices are relatively high, but thats to be expected in Beverly Hills. I did not appreciate the small print 4% added wellness fee on the bar bill. Given the prices of the drinks, and the expectation to still tip 20%, I felt this added and nearly hidden fee was petty and a bit of nickel and diming the customers.

A great choice when visiting LA. The rooms are thoughtfully well-appointed (though a bit small) with all the necessary amenities. The fitness center is the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel this size. Two Peloton bikes, two treadmills (one a Peloton), a water rower, elliptical, two Theraguns, and the only hotel I’ve ever been to that has a Tonal, which made my day. Staff is impressively welcoming and warm. Mid-century modern retro style that I found very charming.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Avalon for Coachella weekend, and our experience was nothing short of delightful! The hotel is very close to downtown Palm Springs which made it easy for us to explore, especially with the availability of e-bikes provided by the hotel. The rooms were very clean and the garden and pools have stunning views of the mountains. Each morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast, with the Chi Chi breakfast burrito being a standout favourite! What truly sets Avalon apart is the exceptional staff. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and were always available to assist us with anything we needed. This was our third time staying at Avalon, and it definitely wont be our last! Perfect place if youre looking for a relaxing getaway weekend or a base for festival adventures like Coachella or Stagecoach.

I had a great experience with the Avalon. I have been a few times, its been about a year since my last visit. The rooms seemed to have been updated making everything comfortable and convenient. Due to flight delays, I arrived late at night and Devarius made for a great experience. He was very helpful and had such a great attitude that was contagious.

Devarius and Christy showed us GREAT HOSPITALITY as we felt at home upon meeting them both. Our Check in with Christy was smooth and welcoming like family members. Later Devarius helped ys with our much needed Spring water after our flight changed 4 times and we had to overnight in Charlotte (CLT) because of earlier severe weather, Davarius was most accommodating and again made us feel like a welcome family. The hotel was super clean and super comfortable and with fresh grapes and eater which we downed earlier . Thank you Avalon Beverly Hills staff, especially Devarius and Christy.

This boutique hotel is nothing more than an obscenely overpriced motel on a noisy street. The price to stay here is equivalent to staying at a resort on the beach in Santa Barbara, with additional hidden fees that other hotels in the area dont charge. The room AC didnt work, the room itself was the tiniest room Ive ever been in, especially the bathroom. The weird 1/3 shower wall doesnt keep water off the floor, and the original motel window to the courtyard with no shade keeps the room nice and bright all night long. Better and cheaper hotels a mile away. Gave a star for the staff who were very friendly and accommodating.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was accommodating and welcoming. This boutique hotel is chic and is exactly what you’d expect from a low profile California hotel that wants to be kept a hidden secret. Great food, great vibe, fun and chic decor. I would highly recommend you staying here. I guess I’m a sucker for hand written notes too.

This hotel is truly a motel. The pool area is cute but room is dated. The staff was helpful and food and drinks are good. However it was very expensive. There are so many added fees.Parking $53.00 a nightOccupancy tax $49 a nightHealth and wellness $11 a nightAmenity surcharge $29 a nightCity tax $5 a nightCalifornia tax $1 a nightThis is on top of the $350.00 a night for the room. One night we ordered chicken sandwich, fruit cup and toast. $67.00. On top of tip you pay 4% for employees to have health insurance which is great but seems like some of these additional charges should be included. Whoever runs this Marriott seems to be extremely greedy and not in touch with the reality of what they are offering.

So impressed with the Avalon Hotel and their amazing staff. We had to move out of our condo for fumigation and needed pleasant digs to manage this necessary interruption of our lives. Alex behind the front desk was so sweet, on the ball and accommodating by showing us available rooms so we could find our perfect home away from home. He made what could have been a huge hassle into a relaxing vacation by making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Nothing like a little compassion, care and pampering to make a challenging situation enjoyable. Thank you Alex for being our lighthouse in the storm!

Great location!! There is a very hidden fee of $29 a night that will be charged to your credit card. Everything else is quite nice. The staff is incredibly nice. Minus a lunch that was charged to my account and the guest amenity fee daily that was charged I would recommend this hotel.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOU CANFor decent experience, I rarely put reviews, but this hit my baseline and I hope my experience can be helpful...I stayed for one night, and I checked in around 10 PM, I was given Room 226 across the street, and when I got into the room, there was stuff left in the room that I am sure someone was living there.I went back to ask the front desk, but the reception cannot explain how this happened. Imagine your room can be opened by some other person that the room key was provided by the front desk. I never experienced this before and even this is a brand under Marriott.In addition, when I switched to another room, I dont think they provided enough clean for the room, I saw a hair was hanging from a stack of towels clearly and the room smelled terrible....Anyway, I wont stay there again, and I would recommend not to stay there to ruin your trip.

My mom and I had an absolutely incredible time thanks to the beautiful environment and the lovely staff. A man named Justin helped with valet parking and was so sweet to my mom and I,he let us ramble on forever cause we’re crazy talkers lol. I arrived late and had issues with my credit card but the night staff was very patience and supported me through it. Valet service is quick and easy, with a private garage located on the propery for fast access. The check in process was smooth and instructions were clear. They offer multi night discounts and were really accomodating when I needed to extend my trip last minute. The room was modest, clean and simple in its mid century modern design. The bed was incredibly comfortable, firm with a pillowy give (if youre tired youll be drooling in moments). Perfect small boutique style hotel tucked into a residential neighborhood so its quiet and felt safe for a solo female traveller. Formerly known as the Beverly Carlton (where Marilyn Monroe lived!), the renos have kept the integrity of the original structure with updates that still have a retro charm (cool spot for a photoshoot). Delicious martinis. Small, intimate pool located in the center of the building where you can lay in the skylight and soak up some beautiful California sun! Highly recommend and would love to stay here again.

Very nice hotel. I like how the pool is visible as soon as you step into the lobby. Our room was in a separate building through an alleyway from the main hotel. It is a lovely room, super comfortable bed and soothing colors. I took a nice long bath in the tub (so happy because most hotels today only have showers) and we enjoyed the large patio.I would definitely come back!

I had super high hopes for the Avalon. Maybe too high. Many of the reviews had commented on the urine smell of the carpet . . . and I had the misfortune of getting served a fruit cup that was moldy. Makes the place feel less clean than it should be. I was also in the annex building which, if youre traveling alone, can feel a little unsafe. The glass front door doesnt seem secure and there is no human security on that piece of the property. So, its a great location, its convenient, the pool area is a good place to have meetings, but they really need to work on basic cleanliness and safety.

We had an amazing stay here! The vibe is very casual but also upscale, with impeccable service. The staff is really helpful, room service was fast and delicious, and housekeeping requests were fulfilled quickly by the friendly staff. We stayed in a beautiful 1 bedroom suite (which was spotless) overlooking the pool and the courtyard. Awesome decor with a retro feel. The beds and pillows are so comfortable, the bathroom is spacious with modern fixtures, and the toiletry products are great! The restaurant has these super cool cabanas tucked away around the pool - great for a group or semi-private dining. This is what a boutique hotel should be. 5 stars all the way around - facilities, service, cleanliness, quality and condition.

From the start it was bad when the valet left my wife and in the alley in the rain for 5 min while he ran inside to grab something… then gave attitude when I was knocking on the door trying to get in out of the rain. Then we tried to order room service in the AM but after 3 attempts gave up and did Uber Eats.Don’t waste your money here.

Was first given a room with green carpets - which was not at all how it was pictured online. Since we’re traveling with a dog, we went back to the front desk and asked for a room with hard wood flooring to prevent any mess/accidents. The front desk kindly swapped us into a room with hard wood flooring, BUT THERE ARE FECAL STAIN/RESIDUE IN THE TOILET. The toilet was also not functional and we had difficulty flushing. We went back to the front desk and they gave us the key to the first room that we checked in for us to use the bathroom. Sound proof is also non-existent in this hotel. We ended up cutting our stay here short and canceling the next 2 nights. With the price we’re paying for a suite, there are a lot of other options in the area.Really disgusted and disappointed at this place. Fortunately front desk and hotel manager were super kind and understanding.

This is a MOTEL not a hotel. Save your money and stay somewhere else. There’s LOUD construction happening too and the cups and rooms are dirty. View videos.I don’t normally post negative reviews but if I could save just one person from staying here, I’ll feel good about it. The front desk staff is nice but the manager who was onsite during my stay was horrible. It’s a money hungry organization and you can feel it as soon as you step in the door.The rooms pictured here are not what they’ll attempt to put you in. They try to fill their “annex” first which is honestly gross. The green carpeting floors have stains and smell of mildew, and you can hear everything your neighbors to the left, right, and below are doing.After complaining, we were charged $50 more to be moved to the rooms pictured on google maps, the one we thought we booked. This is clearly a con, and they do this often. In the main building, YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING. The janitor cleaning the lobby (we were on the 3rd floor), the music from the resturaunt, and the kids playing by the pool. The sinks don’t work.After requesting to end our reservation early because of all of this they refused but not after leaving me on hold for about an hour. I go downstairs and the manager simply left the phone off the hook and went about her day.For the price, stay somewhere else.

My husband and I stayed in Avalon hotel the past week on our LA trip. We stayed there for two nights.They have 3 buildings in total. The nicer ones are the one that is shown in the online booking. They have a wood floor, clean and facing a pool. HOWEVER, they are another two buildings that are in a less nice condition. Not wooden floor, older carpet with stains, and dark haul way. The one we got is unfortunately in the less nice building, first floor, facing the garbage cans. Not a nice view. It is in a quiet street, however, which we enjoyed the quietness.The pool is quite nice, clean heated pool that is open from sunrise to sunset.The restaurant is nice as well, we had a meal just by the water, enjoyable. Price is ok for vacation.To sum up, the public area of this hotel is very nice. But you are not guaranteed to have a newly renovated room as the picture shown online, which could be a deal-breaker for some people (including me)

I’ve been a regular traveler for about a decade and have over 1,000 nights at Marriott properties. This hotel was the worst experiences I’ve had in those 1,000 nights.I don’t place much blame on the hotel staff, because I believe the issue is that the hotel is well past its prime and in serious need of renovation. The room we were originally given smelled of mildew and strong cleaning supplies and featured stained green carpet and a bathroom that looked like it had seen much better days.This felt more like a discount motel you pay for by the hour than a 4 star Marriott property. We immediately left and went to another hotel and I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve ever felt the need to do that.Again, this is not a comment on the hotel staff, but rather on the quality of the property itself. The manager on duty did offer us another room, but after what we experienced with the first room we felt more comfortable leaving.

Had a great experience at the hotel, it was just as described and was very suitable for both a family with well behaved kids or for adult travelers. The pool was very much appreciated by our kids even though it didnt have any pool toys, they were happy just swimming laps. The rooms and hotel itself are really nicely designed and well kept. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away from the hustle of the busy city but stay close to everything. The viviane restaurant serves super tasty dishes at friendly prices and have some great wines. Cool place.

The staff/concierge are absolutely excellent and a pleasure to deal with! They are very helpful and accommodating. Checked in at 2am for a 2 night stay and was upgraded to their Jr suit. This is not your typical luxury hotel. It has the feel of an older motel that was renovated but it’s absolutely excellent. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel then this is not it but it’s absolutely lovely. Very romantic and quaint. The location is quiet and clean and just a few blocks from Rodeo. The pool is positioned on the main level of the building just in the exposed courtyard (Lots of sun during the day). Due to COVID the restaurant was closed and mini bars were not available, which wasn’t an issue, so I cannot comment upon that but otherwise, I’d highly recommend it.5/5 - Staff5/5 - cleanliness

The staff of this hotel are wonderful, the waiters, valets and housekeepers were all fantastic.But overall I was disappointed with the hotel itself. It is pretty much a motel. We requested an upgrade to a suite that we didnt receive, but still had to pay, which ended up being a substantial amount of money. It was frustrating because for that amount per night we could have just gotten a room at a nicer hotel. The room itself was clean enough, but there was a bit of wear and tear, and everything seemed a bit tired.Ultimately for the price there are better hotels in the area.

Its an old hotel that is renovated. The rooms are little bit small and the bathroom is tiny. I told them it was noisy and they moved to a junior suite which is great but unfortunately i can hear the ppl above when they walk and when they close the door. I can hear ppl in the swim pool when they are eating. In addition, the water that they provide is glass bottle that they refill from the tap so there is no effort what so ever. Location wise, is very good so thats what the three stars for.

This hotel is ok; 3.5. I would not say it is a 4 star hotel. They are undergoing renovations but that renovation is to upgrade what looked to be an old motel. Some of the work is going on during regular hours. They have done an excellent job designing the lobby, but it falls apart as soon as you hit the dingy unrenovated elevator. The room renovation appeared nice, but then I saw outlets that were crooked, chipped stone furniture and rust spots on the bathroom door frame. These things detracted from the overall experience. Four star level attention to detail is lacking. They adverstise a pool but the area is used by the restaurant so your swim is in the middle of peoples meal service. This set up is awkward and discourages guests from using the pool. Speaking of the restaurant, Viviane, it is a gem, but do not get room service. Since you have to call the restaurant directly anyway, just order your meal for pickup, go downstairs, pick it up and take it to your room. The same meal ordered via room service will literally double the cost of your meal. Lastly, the lack of attention to detail doesnt stop with the rooms, I looked over my bill at check out and found a $317 mistake. It was an obvious mistake and they were apologetic, but if I hadnt caught it..........Will try some place else next time Im in LA.

The Avalon was a stunning blast into the past of the older LA Motel flavor style that was stunningly updated. The hotel was very fun to spend a few days. The hotel is a short walk to shopping too. Beautiful decor in the common areas and in the room. We highly recommend trying this property out - you will be glad you did.

This place is disgusting and CREEPY.I stayed there middle of August and had the worst experience. The AC didn’t work. There was absolutely no where else I could stay at the time on their property. Plus the front desk person offered to “fix” my AC after he told me the engineer had already left for the day who fixes the AC. He made it seem like he wanted to be upstairs in my room alone. The worst part is I left didn’t even stay one night and the hotel is refusing to refund me when my credit card company calls. DO NOT STAY HERE. Especially if you are a female traveling alone!!!

I was hesitant due to a poor rating on Marriott website. I checked in for one night and was greeted with a glass of champagne. The rooms were cozy and over looked a nice pool lounge area. The bathrooms are extremely nice with a nice rain shower head. All room service is controlled by a personal tablet where you can order anything you might need. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking to stay in The Beverly Hills area and doesnt want to spend and extreme fortune.

We enjoyed the Avalon. The hotel is very nice. We thought it was a bit strange they had 3 different buildings but it turned out nicely.They let us move to a room with 2 beds which was very much appreciated.We really liked the happy hour and the pool in general. The breakfast was great. Also the service was really good.Rooms are nice but were a bit on the warm side.Free coffee refills was a great feature.All in all, we would stay there again and overall had a great stay.

First off all, the food is fantastic. That makes up for the mediocrity of the rest of the place. Its a 1950s hotel thats been remodeled. The decor is funky, it photographs better than it actually is. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is, well, ok I guess. Dirty tile grout on the floor. The promo for the hotel says there are slippers and robes...there arent. Parts of the building are run-down. A/C and heat are provided by a split-system unit. Ours worked fine, but I think they might be a little unreliable...our room in the second building on the 3rd floor had a good view of the roof on the main building and I noticed a guy up there fixing the various a/c units quite frequently. Surprised that its a Marriott property, expected a bit better.

Staying at this hotel was such a cool experience, not only was the room like walking into a clean, crisp version of mid-century movie bungalow, but you can echo historic photos of Marilyn Monroe poolside (she lived here) and see where they shot some I Love Lucy (Lucille Ball lived here too). You also feel its newness and youthful energy because of upkeep and renovation. Thats not always the case where history is preserved. The whole place has an artful magic to it. After snapping a photo (see in my photos attached) of my husband at the poolside cabana I couldnt help but think of #VanGoghs cafe on the terrace. If you reverse the painting, its like an accidental exact replica. See the slant of the roof, the orange table with white pottery, the lights as stars and the crazy match of the coloring in all corners!I tell you theres magic. And the staff is so nice and the weight room is much bigger than expected and the pool is nice and deep (8+feet) and has a good size shallow end too for kids. I love this place now. Highly recommend!

There is a separate building that requires crossing a narrow alley, not a problem even in late December with the nice California weather, if youre at the main building you wouldnt even notice.The staff is very helpful. Valet is very fast, so no wasting your time waiting for the car.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure our first trip since COVID was safe and enjoyable. Beginning with check in, they accommodated our flight arriving early and allowed us to drop off our bags while they finished preparing the room, so we could enjoy all that Beverly Hills has to offer. When we came back our bags were waiting in our room so we didn’t have to worry about anything! You would be remiss to not enjoy a refreshing salad by the pool at lunchtime. And the complimentary valet allowed my daughter to meet me for lunch. Fresh coffee every morning offers a great way to start your day. Everything in the room is modern, recently updated, and very very clean. I can’t wait to come back soon!

I really loved the place. I like the non-carpet flooring because it is a lot cleaner. We had the poolside room view. That being said, our room could have used a paint job. One of the light bulbs were burned out, only one chair for the eating table but overall I give it 4 stats for location and the restaurant. Ill be back!

I had high expectations going in. The decor looked great, it was close to the shops in Beverly Hills. But there was someones old food left in the closet, the floors were pitched. Yes, we were in the old building, elevator looked dirty and run down. While thankfully there wasnt any loud sounds that night we were there, you could hear everything though the windows. It was like the windows didnt exist, there was also a breeze because the windows didnt seem to seal properly. It was difficult trying to figure out how to open the dresser doors because there were no handles or anything to pull them open. The bedding, while soft, was very lumpy. Im not sure how many pillow tops were on that mattress. The restaurant and room service ends at 9pm, so if youre hungry later, especially with a time zone change, youll have to go out and find food elsewhere or go without. Similarly you have to find food elsewhere if its 7am. The pool is awkwardly in the open with rooms and restaurants very close. Not as great of a time as I hoped.

The Beverly Hills Avalon, like the Palm Springs Avalon are fantastic, small properties that remind you of old Hollywood. The Avalon is small, and the staff is always friendly. Its dog friendly, has a great gym and located in a nice quiet neighborhood. You feel like a resident, not a tourist when you stay at the avalon. We have tried the W, and many other Marriott properties when we are in town, but since we found the Avalon, we havent bothered with anyone else. Its just a much better experience than the large hotels out there.

Great location in central LA makes it easy to do lots of things with less traffic headaches. Walking distance to Beverly drive shops and restaurants and even shopping on Rodeo drive. With recommended tip, one shot of Casamigos Anejo tequila was $40. Wine prices were very high also, $146 for a $48 retail bottle of Belle Glos Pinot Noir. Rooms were clean and had Nespresso makers. The location is nice and its got an old school feel to it, but when we arrived we were led to the Beverly Tower which was across the alley from the main hotel which set the tone for a bad stay. Once we got in the tower the elevator and stairs looked like they were part of public parking lot. Once we got to our room it wasnt any better. It was a big empty space with scratched floors, peeling wall paper, and crooked closet and dresser doors. My mom, who I was sharing the room with commented that the room still felt like part of a renovated parking lot, and the bathroom door even looked like the door to a public parking stairwell. The beds happened to be comfortable but aside from that, this hotel was not nearly what I would expect from what appeared to be a luxury hotel.

The Viviane was a beautiful restaurant, we decided to sit outside by the pool since they had a heater (it was a cold, but beautiful day) We definitely got great service and our server was very attentive. The food was just okay, not too much flavor although the ingredients were fresh and high quality. We got a $20 burger and a Chicken Sandwich paired with a couple of beers. Edit: There is no confusion. I have a credit card statement that very clearly shows TWO posted transactions, as well as an email from my credit card company stating that I was charged twice. The correct way to handle the situation would be to ask to see this very clear evidence instead of claiming that I’m confused or incorrect. The fact is that there are $600 in posted charges on my card from a $300 one night stay.Original review: The hotel itself was cute but they charge you a $21 amenity fee because there’s Apple TV and a coffee machine in your room and I didn’t even touch those things. I also had to pay $28 for valet parking and they didn’t even valet-park my car- I parked myself. Lastly- and the reason for the 1 star- they charged my credit card twice. They Key to the Avalon is its selection of staff. The team were happy (soooo important), efficient, polite, helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The property itself has a mid century design overlay - and they do it well. Original Mid century not a modern interpretation. We really loved this. The practical stuff? Beds - super comfortable, great linen and pillows and quiet. A/C worked fine, bar stock - just enough, pool - perfectly compact, clean and inviting, location - right where you want to be in LA, discreet and convenient. Food - a small menu but a great menu. Access to room - a short walk and easy to find. Wi-Fi - bullet proof. They also added a nice touch by having chilled champagne waiting for us in our room (wedding anniversary). Thank you. Overall, The Avalon BH is a great boutique style hotel in a great location. If you are in LA you cant go past it. Oh, and by the way, Rob the young guy looking after pool service is a gem. This hotel is a little gem, walking in to check in theres a restaurant that has seating around a classic mid century kidney shaped pool. With oversized glass windows everywhere reflecting the David Hockey water ripple it will be hard to miss. At the reception the staff efficiency checked me in and laid out their Covid-19 policy. I absolutely LOVED my stay at The Avalon. From the moment we pulled into the drive we were met with kindness and incredible professionalism. The valet, front desk attendants, bell boy, and room service were all so friendly and helpful. I got this room through Priceline and paid half of what the normal guest does, but you would never know from how they treated us. They had great recommendations for things to do and even when our Uber got here the valet attendant made sure that it was the right car/driver so we were safe seeing as it was just us two girls. I cannot say enough about that this hotel or the people that work here. Oh, and the room was fabulous! Huge bathroom. High end finishes everywhere and everything was very updated. Were staying somewhere else for the next few days and I am so sad that it wont be at the Avalon.

This was the worst experience I received out of my stays at this property from check-in to check-out. Room felt like a motel room. Supposed to be a jr suite. It was spacious but nothing like a junior suite...more like a very basic hotel room with a bit more square footage. The hotel bar is nice and they make great drinks. Breakfast was good. Valet was $40/night. Don’t leave anything in your vehicle with the valet. Not even a gym bag. Ours was taken. I know, the warning is on the valet ticket about valuables left in vehicle, but come on! Your employee doesn’t just park my car, but may go through it, trunk & all, looking to steal stuff, so be sure to completely empty out your car before handing it over or they just might do it for you. #valetmoralvaluesNeeded new spin shoes anyway, they can have the old ones.

The hotel has a mid century modern design which is pretty cool. There are 3 separate buildings and the hotel is in a residential area a block away from Beverly Blvd. It was quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft. The toilet had a hose type thing attached which wouldve been fantastic had the water coming out of it not been cold. The restaurant Vivianes has a unique selection of foods available. The acai bowl was the best Id ever had. I could have one for breakfast daily for the rest of my life amd be satisfied. I didnt give the hotel 4 or 5 stars because the floors werent cleaned in the corners of the room. With the amount of dust and dirt Id say they havent been cleaned in months. The grout was filthy and needed bleached.

You pay for location - its just a few blocks from Wilshire and Rodeo.The pool and lobby area is nice. But room itself - very outdated.Caution Extra Charges!When we arrived we pulled into the drive and was greeted by the valet. He told us that valet parking is $35. The next morning when we checked out we were surprised to see a $40 parking charge instead.We also were charged a $15 amenity fee, which was not mentioned anywhere.We unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.

Overpriced stay, slow service, small rooms, overpriced food, and convoluted policies.I found a reasonable price on Hotel Tonight ($500 for 2 nights), and tried to call the front desk to book directly. But then I get to the hotel, and they say that the would match the price if I talked to them directly rather than through Marriott, which I thought was exactly the same as directly. So all in all, terrible communication, and unable to make amends for their own mistakes in the booking process.Ordered a coffee maker this morning (which doesnt come in the room) and it took 25 minutes to arrive.Ordered a shave kit just now, and still waiting 30 minutes later.Breakfast this morning was good, but small portions and overpriced for what it is. $100 for two people, for a scramble, yogurt, avo toast, one juice, and two coffees.The room is very small, hardly stylized, and right next to a busy street. Windows are thin and dont keep out noise, so we were kept up last night to all hours by loud engines and public bus announcements.Not anything close to what I would expect, and my experience here has made me decide to drop my loyalty to Marriott and try another company, despite my Gold status with Marriott.Update: the shave kit came 40 minutes later after calling again, with the notice that they had no shaving cream. I’m a Marriott Titanium member and decided to try the Avalon instead of another local Marriott Hotel. I arrived at the hotel late at night after a long day of work. Valet was ok - check-in was ok, but when I went to my room it smelled like mold. I made called to the front desk on how to turn on the AC, but it only got worse. I check 30 min later. I asked for the GM to call me to discuss the issue and it’s now 2 weeks later and no response. I also called the Marriott Titanium line to also give feedback and they had an extra request into the hotel to call me and still nothing. The hotel in Beverly Hills is not worth 315.00 dollars a night - resort fee of 15.00 and 41.00 to park. Very dissenting and a lack of respect for it’s guests.

Worst Hotel Experience EverOur anniversary was completely ruined by our stay in this hotel. First, we were led by the website and its affiliation with Marriott brand to believe that this was a beautiful hotel with lots of amenities, but were instead given a room inside an insecure two-level apartment building with no onsite staff, no entrance locks, and no amenities. See attached photos for yourself.Second, our hotel room door was opened and left wide open while we were away. We checked and found no hotel cleaning staff around in the building.The worst part was that when we brought this to the attention of the front desk staff member named Elizabeth, suggesting that we had left the doors open ourselves. When we showed her our evidence that we could not be physically in the building which collaborated with the lock activity log she provided herself, she treated us rudely and disrespectfully, offered no explanation nor apology. When my wife asked to speak to her supervisor, Elizabeth claimed that she was the manager and had no boss. We had to cancel the rest of the reservation because of this upsetting experience.I advise fellow travelers to avoid this hotel at all costs—there are several Marriotts nearby that are far more hospitable and secure, including the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles Century City/Beverly Hills we moved to afterwards.

I would never review a hotel this low, especially one in Beverly Hills. For one, you cannot see it from the main street. The building itself looks like apartments. Vale parking is easy to miss. The pool closes too early. We got in hoping to go for a swim only to find out it closes at 6pm. We requested a room w a view and had a crummy view of the street. I should have known better that it is only 4 floors and not in an area where there are views. The rooms although clean were old school. We found a spider in the bathroom. The bath towels were run down. To top it off we tried to enjoy our morning by the pool/restaurant nobody came around to serve us. We had to ask the busser if we could get some menus. The hospitality is rivaled by none. I had flown In for a friends wedding, and didnt realize until an hour before the wedding that I had forgotten my cufflinks. (My shirt is a special French cuffs shirt, so there was no alternative of buttons at the end of my sleeves) I went to the front desk to ask for a local source where I could purchase them really quick, Dazion mentioned that rodeo drive, even though its close, their cufflinks minimum price will be $400, I believe Dazion spoke with Marco, the friendly car-attendant. On my behalf. A few minutes later he found me waiting for an Uber and selflessly offered me his cufflinks. Ill never forget these Genuine people. They saved me from a huge embarrassment. This is a great place for a quiet dinner outside next to the pool. It is a little pricey, but the food is unique and on a warm night, it feels very comfortable and special.

Great service and beautiful nostalgic hotel. Pool in the bar area is awesome, though I would probably never swim in it with adults sitting around having drinks and dinner.

I lost one of my travel pouch in my luggage. Tried to tell the hotel three times and no one responded to my complaint during the 5 days I stayed. Last day, the pouch magically returned to my luggage (still some clothes missing).

The YNOT Webcam Awards were terrific and so much fun. The latest Terpon Camera featured and sponsor was unbelievable. Virtual Reality never looked and felt so good. It doesnt get any more real than what these folks have created. Well Done!

Had dinner at Viviane and it was such a cute evening dinner spot! The decor was very modern and chic, while also being reminiscent of the old timey LA aesthetic.

Great hotel and awesome service i felt at home when i got into the room and it was always clean great bar area and the pool was nice as well i love the look of the hotel when your 1st pull up
