I had just started going to Autovantage in October 2023 for an oil change. I was very unhappy with my previous mechanics and was hoping to find someone that I could rely on for good info and car care! After my first experience with them (oil change), I felt confident that Id found what I was looking for! Unfortunately, my car broke down and I remembered about Autovantage. They were very flexible with my appointment. And for a waiting appointment, they were fast even though I had several things to be done. The man at the front desk (sorry, the name slipped my mind) was courteous, knowledgeable & prompt. He kept me informed. And Jeremy synced my new phone to my car!!! I had no music for over a week! I recently had an issue with one of my diesel pickups and had reached the limit of my own ability to fix the issue. I had a great diesel mechanic in Auburn that I trusted for years until he suddenly passed away and was forced to look for a new one and in the process was burned pretty good by other repair shops. So when I knew that I couldn’t fix the truck on my own, I started looking into repair shops here in Auburn and I went straight to their reviews and found Autovantage Service Center and couldn’t find a bad review anywhere, so I decided to give them a try. I was very satisfied and impressed with their communication with me throughout the repairs and Joe’s customer service skills, along with the rest of the team. The truck is running perfectly and I definitely feel that I was treated fairly and respectfully throughout this experience. I will definitely be returning to Autovantage with all my vehicles and I’m very relieved to have found an honest repair shop that demonstrated great integrity, which is very hard to find in these trying times! I would highly recommend this place for your auto needs. I took my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder in last month because it started making a bad noise. Turns out the engine needed to be replaced. The extended warranty people were giving Autovantage a really hard time getting the authorizations needed to start the job. Dresden and Kim in the office stuck with the hard task of documenting all correspondence between them and the warranty company to get the job authorized and completed. They went above and beyond for my family and I appreciated it immensely. They even fixed my front bumper that was hanging on one side at no charge to me. They are the best and my car is running great.

I drive from Santa Rosa to Auburn to have my car serviced because I trust them to be honest and not recommend unneeded services or overcharge. This appointment was an expensive one but they still managed to save me around $400 from what I was originally quoted by the dealership. They are always so friendly professional and accommodating. My experience from my initial call to getting my vehicle back was excellent. Customer service was outstanding. The service advisor Joe listened and understood my detailed description of issues and what I needed done. He provided a detailed estimate before the work was completed.Cost of repairs where no cheaper than a dealer but, the service, in my opinion was better in terms of quality. It has only been a few days on the repair so I will check back in a few months.At this point, I would not hesitate is engaging AutoVantage in Auburn again.

This was my first experience with Autovantage Service Center. Ive been taking my families vehicles here ever since we moved to Auburn. My wife needed to get her car smogged and took it to a different shop. While she was there, she asked them to rotate the tires and change the oil. During the tire rotation, the tech cross threaded the lug nuts and told us we would need to replace the entire wheel assembly and it would cost 800 bucks. We towed it to autovantage at 330 on a Friday and they replaced the lug nuts and studs for free and had it ready to go by Monday morning because my wife needed it for a work trip. Hands down the best shop in Auburn

The service was fine. They also, unexpectedly, did a safety check on my car that showed some work that needed attention. However, the best part was finding out they’d cleaned the inside of my windshield. It had become almost opaque. I have arthritis in my hands and can no longer clean the windshield.

I have taken my Ford Fusion and Expedition to ASC multiple times. Sometimes for routine things like oil changes and sometimes for crazy things that required troubleshooting. They always diagnosed the issues accurately and the service was done promptly and at a reasonable price. They took the time to explain the problems and what my options were and the associated price. It is important to have a shop you can trust and I highly recommend them!

They did an inspection on a vehicle I was purchasing from a private party and I am long distance. Everything was done by phone very professionally with the online inspection results including a follow up call to go over the report. I dealt with Becki mostly. This is the 2nd time I have gone into Autovantage and I highly recommend this business. I had an awesome mechanic in Pasadena, CA (J&G Auto) and I was concerned about finding a new mechanic equally as professional and honest when I moved up north. Autovantage customer service is excellent and they have provided me with honest feedback about which issues dont need to be addressed immediately. My Landcruiser has 368,000 miles and still runs really well. It matters to me that I get the most out my car and Joe the owner expressed the same sentiment when we discussed the topic. I asked for and he gave me his professional opinion on which cars in the marketplace are built to last. Barely puttered into their parking lot b4 my Prius died. Just so happens they are my long time car car repair shop for when I need the best work done and the best parts used. Brian the owner & his wife are awesome!! Another great convenience is the only real car rental shop in Auburn, Enterprise is a 2 minute walk from Autovantage. I had a nice cheap $45 a day. Med/small sized rental car & was back on the road within 30 minutes. If your going to break down in Auburn, Autovantage is the perfect repair shop to do so. Sadly my Prius didn’t make it but thats not Autovantages fault. I just got sold a lemon 🍋 ALWAYS get a prospective used car fully inspected before buying no matter how honest or trustworthy someone seems. Big lesson learned. 😢

Using the brakes on our car was exciting. Not a pleasure. We took our car in and they diagnosed our problem with a upfront estimate. They replaced our brakes and since the car was there they changed our oil like we ask. The car seems newer now. My wife said on our trip to Tahoe how thankful she was that we got the car brakes fixed. Felt very safe. They vac car too. What I though that was important to me was they ask me to let them know how good of a job they did. It was perfect. Will always take our cars there.

They’ve replaced my brakes, and done my regular maintenance (changing timing belt), as well as the oil change. They always are so friendly, personable and caring when it comes to their customers and the services they perform. It amazes me all the little things that make the process enjoyable. I took my 02 Tundra to Autovantage in Aug of 2022 for an oil change. The mechanic JQ discovered a few problems in that the left front cv joint boot leak,leaking rear driveshaft and air-conditioning blowing 52 deg air. I set up an appointment to have the above mentioned items repaired and took it in. JQ called me the following day and advised that the driveshaft was OK and did not have to be sent to Sacramento shop for repair/balancing which saved me over $1000. They completed the other work in a very short time and did an excellent job. The ladies who I talked to at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. I bought a 2006 Lincoln Navigator and took her to Bryan and the gang. What I liked most was the friendly disposition everybody had. I was a first time customer. They were helpful, friendly and took my car in right away having it completely repaired soon after I gave them the go ahead. It felt like family, they were not pushy and did not try to upsell me on things that dont need to be done right away, however they did give a list of suggested service needs for the future. Very upfront and honest about what was wrong with my car, love the fact that they set themselves apart from other mechanics by doing a very thorough inspection and not checking to see which error codes pop up and throwing parts into the car. I recently bought a new-to-me 2002 Honda CRV with high mileage and called around to several shops in the area. After the initial contact with Autovantage, I decided to go with them. Dresden was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable when I called to get a quote on the services I needed. Autovantage had reasonable and competitive prices along with a $25 coupon. When I dropped off my vehicle, the waiting room was clean, inviting and Dresden was behind the desk with a welcoming smile. John worked on my vehicle and called to inform me of some issues I might want to address. John was professional and helpful, answering my questions without issue. When I picked up my vehicle, John was available to answer more of my questions and seemed to genuinely care about the longevity of my vehicle. These guys provide the best auto service Ive ever experienced. They work on my wifes vehicle, and we give another local shop my car. Theyve always been fair, friendly, and honest. I was recently in a pinch (car wouldnt start) and I was close to Autovantage. I called and spoke with Brian. Their staff was on lunch, but he said hed come check out my vehicle really quick to see if he could help. Sure enough, he got my car started and I was on my way. Excellent service! I took our 98 Saturn SL2 (owned since new!) in for Air Conditioning service. The report was concise and complete and despite the age of the Saturn they were able to service the AC. They also inspected the rest of the car and wrote a report on the current status of the vehicle. I have maintained the car since new and the report was accurate to the last detail. Im in my late 60s and looking for a shop to take over some of the heavier maintenance. I will bring the car back to Autovantage to bring some of the other maintenance up to date. Good people, friendly people, caring people are hard to find these days, especially in an automotive service center! Highly recommended!!

Should be called auto ADVANTAGE since they like to take advantage of their customers. Had my husbands Durango towed here because it wouldn’t start, we tried figuring out why at home with no luck. Unfortunately they aren’t our regular mechanic, but they did quote us $150 for the diagnosis, now it’s $375 without consulting us first. Kinda rough to come up with that when we are on a limited income with a newborn and we’re told one thing, but now it’s something different. Wish they had been upfront that it’s $150 AN HOUR not just a set price. I just had my 1996 Ford F150 (220,000 miles) serviced by Autovantage Service Center and was most impressed. Things started off well with the friendliness and professionalism of the office staff on the phone. I made an appointment to have the oil changed, and for them to see if they could track down an intermittent stalling problem that had been going on since I bought the truck two years ago. One of my boys is a good mechanic and we replaced the plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, fuel filter, crankshaft position sensor, etc. and so on. Nothing fixed it completely and my cheapie code reader suggested it was electrical in nature but not where the problem was.When I arrived at the shop it was the cleanest, most well organized repair shop I have visited. The office staff was great and the owner Ryan spent about 15 minutes chatting with me to get as much detail as possible on the issues and what we had already replaced. The truck is a spare vehicle so I told them to keep it as long as they needed since the problems are so intermittent.One of the techs hooked up like 3 different monitors to it and kept test driving until it finally acted up (stranding him - but fortunately close to the shop) and found that it needed a new distributor, and that the front fuel pump (truck has dual tanks) was starting to fail but that the rear one was working fine.They then confirmed with me that I wasnt in any hurry for the truck, because they wanted to spend some time looking for a decent distributor. Motorcraft distributors were no longer available and they tracked down a distributor with an 18 month, 18,000 mile warranty (Autovantage normally warranties their work for 36 months/36,000 miles if they can get quality parts like Motorcraft).When I picked up my truck they had cleaned the interior and provided me with a very thorough list of what they had checked on the truck and quotes on potential future service. And it runs soooo much better than it ever has - so I am a very happy camper.If you are looking for a cheap fix these are not your guys. But if you are looking for a shop that will be thorough, friendly, extremely knowledgable, and treat your vehicle like they want it to last you for 500,000 miles - then this is your shop. I am confidant in the repairs Autovantage made on my truck, and the pricing was appropriate for the value they provided. Definite 5-star organization!!

All of our car needs will be going to Autovantage from now on. They helped get my 1996 4runner up and running again. It needed so much done and they spent their time evaluating every possible thing that could be wrong with it on top of what I knew was wrong. Then Becki did an awesome job lining out a quote with pricing from most important work that needed to be done to least important. This kind of care and service trying to make sure their customers can afford work that needs to be done immediatly versus work that can wait, I have never been taken care of like this with any mechanic/contractor etc. The 3year/36k mile warranty on their work too, no one offers that. Becki took care of all of my concerns and needs and has my business for life. I could not be happier with the way my vehicle is now running. I had a little bit of everything done with their shop from, major engine parts to shocks to brakes to a wiper blade and much more. They took care of my car and I expect it should run amazing for some time to come now.

My girlfriend called to get an idea of what they charged for a part and the girl on the other end of the phone rudely told her not to call places acting like she knew what she was talking about and hung up on her. If this is any indication of how theyre service is then dont waste your time. We actually do not know a lot about cars but we have a piece of paper from our last visit to an auto shop that tells us exactly what is wrong with the car and just wanted to get everything taken care of now that we can afford to do it. She also said that we would get charged a lot doing what we were doing, I guess we dont live in a free world where your allowed to ask questions. Dont waste your time with rude people.

Daughters 2003 Outback needed immediate attention and got it. Wheel bearing howling. They replaced it within 15 hours. Changed oil and did a 40 point inspection. Our daughter got a detailed report. Although we have had it into at least six different shops over the years, every shop put band-aids on the problem; replacing parts over and over again without getting to the root of the problem.
