I always have hesitation when going to a car lot. I’ve had absolutely horrible experiences with car salesman… This was the FIRST TIME I have felt listened to, my wants and expectations met and every part of the deal was transparent. We were in and out with a new car that I absolutely love! Coleton and Sonny were AMAZING! Coleton was unlike any salesman I have dealt with before. I didn’t feel like he was trying to pull one over… I felt like he honestly cared about not only myself but also that I got a car I would love (which I absolutely do)! I highly recommend AutoNation Subaru!

One not great experience won’t make me not return but I’ll definitely be more aware next time. I’ve always had a great experience at Roseville Subaru.I was there for a $80 oil change. The service writer offered me “the works” for an extra $90 to rotate tires, grease and fill things, etc. I was clear that I only wanted an oil change for financial reasons (kid in college). He said ok and returned 15 min later saying the $170 cabin and engine filters needed replacing as well. I declined. He gave me a total of $140. I asked why it was that much and he said the $80 oil change and $35 tire rotation and taxes. I was frustrated but waited 5 min to figure out what to do. I went to the desk to ask that the tires not be rotated and he said that they already had been. I let him know I’d like to have the engine filter changed ONLY and in the future I can rotate my own tires.I didn’t want to cause a scene or argue so I paid and left. The guy was very nice. The work is great. But I will definitely be more careful in the future about making sure that when I ask for ONLY a certain service to be done, that’s all that is done. It felt sneaky which doesnt sit well.

After receiving notice of a recall repair, I scheduled an appointment. It was very easy to get a time and day that was convenient to me. We dropped my car off at the service center and the repair was done more quickly than I anticipated. The check-in and checkout process went very smoothly and professionally. Overall it was about as good a service experience as you can get .

I brought my 2018 Forester in for an oil change recently. Service personnel and shop personnel were way beyond expectations. I will continue to have my Subaru serviced there. Before I brought my Subaru in, I had been researching the Subaru website searching for a new Forester. I did find one and wanted to look at it. However, I was there for a couple of hours and none of the sales people approach me despite my requests and those of the service department to help me. I was wanting to get a new one (even brought my checkbook) but no one talked to me so I went home. I had purchased my last three Foresters from this dealership. Still want a new Forester but now I have to start looking at other brands.

We had just bought a Subaru ascent here in Southern Oregon turns out the vehicle had a hole near the air conditioner. It was found out while my family was on vacation in Citrus Heights California. We brought it to your dealership and you treated us as if we had bought the car from you, you have no idea joy that I experienced knowing that my family is taken Care of. I wanted to share a great experience at an auto dealership. The dealer is AutoNation Subaru Roseville, and the salesman is Cory Phelps. Initially, I was looking at the features and trim levels of the Outback. Cory took his time to explain the features I was interested in and was very informative, friendly, and never pressured me. His love of cars in general and his personal Subaru was evident in our conversation.My wife and I decided what we wanted and made an appointment with Cory to discuss buying the car. We arrived early, and one of the friendly employees let my wife drive the car. Cory arrived and we got down to business. I was pleasantly surprised that monthly payments were not discussed and the dreaded ‘4 squares’ never came into play. We had some tense negotiations, but Cory never lost his smile or his cool. He fought hard to get the deal done and we reached an agreement! I have purchased at least a dozen cars and this was the best experience ever. If you are looking for a Subaru you will do no better than AutoNation Subaru Roseville and Cory Phelps. You might not reach a deal, but you will have met a great guy!

I recently purchased a 2014 Crosstrek XV from AutoNation Subaru in Roseville. My contact at the dealership was Cory and he was amazingly patient with ( all) my questions and concerns. I live 90 miles away and Cory was accommodating to my schedule and took photos of the car for me, and sent them to my phone during my workday. I had a great experience with everyone at AutoNation Subaru… The process was quick ( think the test drive was the longest part!) and I was very happy… very personable professionals there… from sales, to finance and everyone else I spoke with… it’s worth the email and drive… and also a shout out to Mike in Service who promptly returned my voicemail about the service history of my car and his explanations of the devices and recommendations. The first time I went here I had a great experience, but this last time I went it could have gone better. I dropped off my car at 12:30 for simple things like an oil change and tire rotation. The technician sent me a video of my car and said it needed a new battery at 1:23. I proceeded to try to call the service advisor multiple times to get more information on the battery, as I just dropped off my car, but I wasn’t getting a response. I finally went back to the dealership and it was 3pm. I just decided to talk to the manager as my service advisor still was busy. The manager was nice and made things right, but I was still overall displeased that I was left in the dark about my vehicle.

As usual another poor service department of Subaru dealerships.I have the past 10 years dealing with Acura, ford, and genesis dealerships and never had one issue.Not only were they great to work with, I frequently was given free oil changes for being a repeat customer and was never denied a loaner vehicle.You take your car to the dealership because of the confidence it gives you on having the same name brand work on it, however the hurtful truth is, the tech doing the work on your car at a dealer for any major auto company is just a kid in high school. Unless you have any serious major engine work, you will not have a master tech working on your vehicle .Spent over an hour yesterday evening and had to call several times to ask for a simple price quote on a CVT fluid change. I was denied a loaner and was told I could wait the 4 hours. If I had to call numerous times over 24 hours to get a simple price quote what makes you think I would believe that the car wouldn’t sit there all day???My family has been Subaru bought and Subaru serviced Subarus the past 25 years. The same thing happened with Subaru in Walnut Creek when my Subaru outback had an airbag recall, again denied a loaner. Told car would be only a couple hours but it was several days.In addition to this the cvt service quote was almost $800. That’s ridiculous and it is only a 30 minute drain and refill.Received several quotes from highest reputable mechanics in area with a quote from $200-$300 rangeSubaru service departments are 🗑️

Worst experience selling a car. Freedom Moore told us to come in for a 7pm appointment. Had to run around to try to find anyone to help us. Finally tracked down Amber to help us. She had us sign a bunch of forms and said ok it will be twenty minutes. 1 hour later we were told the office is closed so we can’t cut a check. They wanted me to leave my car I had signed away with no check ! This was at 8:05. I said I am not leaving without a check. Then they came back thirty minutes later stating they had us sign the title in the wrong place. They wanted us to write affidavit “no fraud intended”. I then wait another thirty minute and then another manager Sonny explains to me that I can take my car and title bur I can’t have a check. I explain we have already cancelled our insurance when we signed away the car. Now my car is sitting at the dealer, I can’t drive it and I have no money. Total amateur hour in this place. Going to finally try to get my money back and steer clear of auto nation moving forward. 2 hours we can never get back.

The sales person never disclosed that there was only one key/fob with the car until she handed me the keys after all the paperwork was signed. I asked for the second key and she said there is only one but I can purchase from Honda for about $200. I called Honda and they want $550. When complained she said she could not do anything. I asked for a manager and she gave me his email but it has been 4 days with no response. This is very unprofessional because there could be somebody out there with a key to my car that could get in it or steal it, and there was no disclosure at the time of purchase. I feel as though this car dealership just wants to make a sale and does not care about customer service or repeat business. I will never come back to the store and I will not recommend it to anybody looking for a Subaru or a used car. I would not recommend AutoNation to anybody to deal with they are just a large corporation that does not care about their customers.

They have terrible customer service if you are trying to do anything other than purchase a car. I have been trying to work with finance for months and they’ve dropped the ball over and over again. I have gone in and called with no resolution to getting a refund on a warranty for a trade in vehicle. I will be avoiding this dealership moving forward.

If possible, dont ever bring your vehicle here for repairs. We brought our subaru in twice for repairs and both times it was a bad experience. The employees have a real bad habit of not communicating with updates. My husband is still waiting on day three for an update for one of our tires. Hes left messages with the service writer, the service manager and his manager as well. The evaulation was done 3 days a go and no one has the decency to get back with us. They completely ignore their customers. This also happened the first time we brought our subaru in, but is a much longer story (4 months they had our car) and wont go into the details here.

The only reason Im not giving it a 5 star is because I went in to get a key fob for my 2003 Impreza Wrx and they said Id have to make an appointment to sync it which would cost me. That wasnt what I was told when I ordered it.. The parts department told me that they could help me sync it to my Subaru when I picked it up the fob and that wasnt the case. The parts department wasnt rude but over the phone was very short telling me nope, we cant do that instead of stating that I would have to make an appointment. They also did not call me right away when it came in like they said they would. I had to call and follow up with my fob I ordered. Felt like the customer service could have been much better. Maybe the service tech was having a bad day.

I was there with my wife on Saturday to sell my wifes car. Nawaf took my car for text drive and he came back telling me that there was a scratch on my rear bumper. I can swear I washed the car a day before and there was no scratch. They low balled me on my offer. The manager didnt have the decency to come see us.My wife and I seemed very unwelcoming.I wished I had taking pictures before Nawaf took out for test drive. I then took my car to carmax and they gave me an offer over $2000 compared to AutoNation. Most disappointing experience.

Leased a 2022 Forester from them & was looking to upgrade to a 2024 Ascent for the family. Looked up KBB & NADA values for my Forester to see where I was at & was happy to trade up. Contacted the place where I leased the car and asked for an offer & got EXTREMELY low-balled by the internet manager. They priced my car under fair condition when it is very well kept. Asked Maita Subaru for an offer and they actually respect the market & not try to be greedy like all Roseville dealerships. Long story short, went to Maita in Sacramento, got the trade-in value I wanted, a great deal on an Onyx Limited & left a happy customer! Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from Roseville dealers due to high mark-ups and low ball offers!

I cant say enough about my service appointment at AutoNation Subaru Roseville. It was easy to make an appointment, and the service tech went over the process before we started to make sure that everything that I wanted/needed to be done on my vehicle was considered. I was given updates while in the comfortable waiting room, which had free wi-fi. The staff was cheery, courteous, and professional. I followed the instructions from an email from Subaru of America to install an update to the Starlink system. It downloaded but installation failed and I ended up with a blank, unresponsive screen. I was due for an oil change anyway, and was able to book an appointment online the same day. Prices were reasonable especially with the 15% off coupon that had been mailed to me. I like the videos and written summaries of the inspection. The service advisors, Anthony and Cody, are personable, courteous, and experienced at explaining what goes on. My Starlink system is working again - no extra charge.

Be careful with what you’re being promised, especially if you’re a first time buyer of a brand new car. In 2019, my wife and I were expecting a little one on the way. After having heard some good things from one of our friend, we decided to buy a brand new Subaru Forester from AutoNation Subaru in Roseville. When we bought the car, we were promised 20 oil changes as part of the sale but unfortunately, record only shows 10 oil changes being purchased. It wasn’t until somewhat recent that it was brought to my attention of the discrepancy. Additionally, there’s an expiration to the oil change package that was never mentioned during the sale. The finance personnel that promised the package deal no longer works for this dealership so I have no way of disputing any of it as all I have to go by is he said she said. The car itself is great but the experience with Autonation has left a bad taste. Being it was my first time purchasing a brand new car from a dealership, I didn’t know that the integrity of a dealership is something to look out for. I caution any customer, new and returning, to learn from my experience when stepping foot into Autonation Subaru RosevilleUpdate: My review was answered with feedback asking me to call the General Manager of Autonation Subaru Roseville to discuss ways of working towards resolving the issue to my satisfaction. I’ve made multiple attempts at contacting and leaving a message to the GM and was finally able to get a hold of a Ryan, I believe that was the gentleman’s name. After a brief conversation, I was told that I could purchase the oil changes that I was originally promised. The feedback from the review provided optimism that there was hope to resolving the issue and being made whole, but unfortunately, I was only left with further disappointment. Time to move on and take my business elsewhere, somewhere integrity and customer service actually has value.

They convinced us the warranty was the best thing to get at the time after long discussions. NEVER AGAIN!! We forked out a few thousand on that warranty, will never do it again. There is always a catch to these warrantys. Dont ever get a warranty with them. Youll end up paying thousands but when something goes wrong, its not worth the paper its written in. I bought a 2023 Outback Onyx last year and was kicking myself since day 1 for not getting the turbo.I like to floor it, but my Outback had as much get up and go as an 80 year old woman who fell out of bed.I went to Autonation Subaru and the salesperson talked me into getting a new 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness. I was approved for the Chase APR offer and the monthly payment was not painful at all.On delivery, my salesperson spent an hour and a half outside in the rain and cold helping me put on a roof rack and box. I am assuming after the first ten minutes of both of us swearing under our breath he was wishing he said no.I love my new Subaru even though I am now sleeping on the couch because my wife is mad.I don’t know if I will use their service department though, it seems like all the one star reviews are just roasting the service department.

I had a terrible experience from the beginning and ultimately cancelled the reservation I had on a vehicle because of it. When I first tried to reserve a vehicle, the salesman told me I had to agree to the price to reserve it, which included the dealer add ons. And when I said I didn’t want them, he stopped responding. I waited until the next day to hear back but eventually reached out to the dealership again and someone else reserved it for me. Then, I was double charged for the reservation and when I brought it up I was told I was mistaken and that it was a banking issue even though I had received two emails from them letting me know my card was successfully charged. Then, the salesman I had stopped communicating. I asked for a purchase agreement to take to my credit union and he said he would draft one. Never heard back after that. The car was delayed in shipping, which isn’t in their control and I understand, but no communication about it. I had to reach out days after the original date to get an answer if it had arrived or not. I asked about the purchase agreement he said he would get for me the week prior, and nothing. Just left me hanging. Ultimately I waited almost a week after not getting a reply to cancel it. I did want the car, but I’m not going to give money to a business that doesn’t respect my time.

He let me know what the cost would be upfront and they checked everything from brake pads to engine to battery. I was just in for a regular service and he let me know what they might recommend doing next time I come in based on their analysis of everything. When I walked in, I pretty much knew what I wanted/needed. Walked up to the front desk, met Cameron, & said i needed some help. Well what do you need? In fact, I didnt even speak to anyone I just hopped in the car and left.Moral of the story, Subaru will sell you a car, but good luck getting any sort of baseline customer service from them. Their sales reps even talk about being embarrassed by their service team because of their poor customer service. Where is the management? An oil change is a basic car maintenance service that it should be pretty easy to purchase through a car service center- but apparently that is an unreasonable expectation with Roseville Subaru 😳

I’ve had several regular mileage services (oil, oil filter, tire rotation etc) done here and the work is always thorough. I live very close by so I always elect to drop my vehicle off instead of wait at the dealership. Because I don’t wait at the dealership, I think they prioritize my vehicle second to customers who are waiting there. I had the very first appointment of the day at 7:30 am for a regular service and it took them several hours to inform me my vehicle was ready even though an oil change and tire rotation takes less than 20 minutes.

It was promised in about 90 minutes, I think it was completed at closer to the 2 hr mark, but it was the day after Christmas. Not busy but also a skeleton crew. I wasn’t bothered by it. I was surprised to find the car had been washed.The price is an issue though. I paid it without question, but for exactly the same cost of a synthetic oil change at this dealership, I buy 2-pack contracts of synthetic changes for my full-size Ram and is honored at any Ram dealer. This is the biggest reputation problem for Subaru, very expensive maintenance cost.

The service team here has lied to my face, ignored me for weeks on end, and made lots of promises that have never been fulfilled. I escalated my warranty issue to Subaru of America, and the service team here lied to them too! SOA finalized a one-time good will replacement from here, and I’ve still been fighting to get even a phone call from this place. I was totally blown off when I showed up in person to complain, they’re too short staffed to even pretend to try. From start to finish, this was by far the best car buying experience I have had! I originally reached out through TrueCar, and started the communication with Cory. Over the next week and a half, we had several email and phone call exchanges, trying to find the right car for me. Fortunately for Subaru, the car I wanted have been selling fast- unfortunately for me, finding one to test drive was a challenge. Cory worked and found a couple of options, and setup a time for a meeting and test drive. They had the one I wanted on the showroom floor, and Cory worked with me to get a great and fair price on the car, as well as the best possible price for my trade-in. My routine experience for the 6000 mile service was pretty good. Cody, the service rep was outstanding. There were a couple of minor problems, however. The sticker in the corner of the windshield was 1000 miles short, so I phoned that in to Cody. Also, I dont know why the tires were not rotated. It actually looks like they have never been rotated based on tire wear patterns. The maintenance rep included a short video of him changing the cabin air filter, which I though was cool. Everyone very friendly and patient.

Worst experience ever. If I could give negative stars I would. Raj at Roseville Subaru, needs serious coaching in communication and customer service. He would say I’ll call you tomorrow with an update and the update would never come. I eventually had to stop in daily as he would not answer his phone or return calls. When I was there once he even told me he doesn’t answer his phone and gets back to people the next day when they call. My sons car needed an engine replacement which was a painful experience and when we got the car back within a month or so we got a check engine light. After getting into it the crankshaft gear was broken and raj claimed that was a part that was moved over from the old engine. After looking at my invoice for 10 sec, it clearly stated that was a new part. Raj tried to act as he was doing me a favor and saying that the dealership would take care of everything, after claiming it could be a few days waiting to hear from the warranty company. Of course it doesn’t end there. He told me it would be ready on a Tuesday and Wednesday comes along I go in to pick up the car and he says there’s an oil leak and he would investigate to see if that was a warranty issue. Of course it was a workmanship issue and he had to fix this. While all of this is going on for months he claimed there was no loaner vehicles and wouldn’t be any loaner vehicles available so we were shuffling cars and work schedules. So like I said worst experience ever don’t buy a car from a dealership that can’t service their own vehicles.

Selected service package from a choice of three and told him I was waiting for the service this time. He showed me the waiting lounge and I was surprised to find free deluxe coffee choices.Service was done in 1 1/2 hours including oil and filter, a software update, tire rotation and complete inspection of all systems. I mentioned I was having difficulty with Apple CarPlay and he recommended using genuine Apple cable which fixed the issue!No pressure no upsell and he also found a coupon for me that save 12.5 percent. This was the best experience with a dealer service I have ever had!!I was turned away from another dealership who was too busy to perform my express oil change. Autonation Subaru in Roseville took me in, and in 1.5 hours, did my express oil change, performed a recall replacement, fixed a problem with my wiper arms. During all of it, the service representative kept checking in, I received texts from the technician working on my car with videos and all of it truly impressed me! But the most impressive part of my visit was how they all treated my dog! They brought him a dog bed, gave him a bandana and other gifts and asked if they could take a picture of him for their monthly dealership pet visits! Ive been dealing with Subaru service department for the last five years only because my fleet vehicle has to be serviced at a local Subaru dealership for repair. The communication from service advisors has and continues to be terrible. They have never returned a single email or voicemail that Ive left over the last five years. Ive even had an advisor ask me to text them and they didnt bother responding to those either.Ive had occasions where I have to physically visit the advisor just to get an update. On the times I do visit in the afternoons, the advisors are on their phones or talking to each other. The advisors then say they were just about to call me....yeah sure. I then get an update on my vehicle and its magically ready within 24 hours. I also recently contacted Subaru of America and a representative has been trying to contact the service team at AutoNation with no responses after leaving messages with several different people.After looking at similar reviews from other customers it seems like management or ownership is disconnected or just doesnt care.Timely resolutions and responses should be a business basic, unfortunately you cant expect that here.

We originally went by to just look at the Ascent to see if it would work for our family of 5. Stopped in on a Saturday and worked with a young man. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked the Ascent, so we told him we would be back Friday to buy the car. We didn’t have the time then and wanted to do a little research. Oh and he had told us they do not do in house financing, weird but okay. So we planned to go through our CU and needed time to set up. Well this is where they loose a star because while we were working our full time jobs, taking our kids to sports, and researching our own loan the sales guy was just about useless. He rushed us, told us there were other people interested in the car, and that we needed to come in sooner. He didn’t know any of the paperwork or what he needed to send our CU so they could process the paperwork and we were needing to do parts of his job. He wasn’t willing to explain certain fees he was charging for, it was quite frustrating. Well Friday came and we still wanted the car and we were able to get our loan check so we arrive and low and behold the original sales guy wasn’t there. You know the one that was a jerk and useless, so we dealt with a young woman initially and then another man. They made the process go by quickly and were able to answer our questions so we left 3 hours later with our new Ascent.

Based on prior phone conversations, She had several cars ready for me to look at when I arrived. The purchase process was painless! Remember when it took all day to haggle with the dealership? Well, not the case here. The trade in for my old vehicle was generous, the price of the new car was fail, no haggling needed. A few optional items were installed promptly and I got lots of explanation and help about all the electronic apps (my prior car was much older and did not have all these bells and whistles). Jordan helped me set up my phone, has reached out to me afterwards to see if I need additional help getting the apps up and running. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I remember my overall reaction to the service appointment. I was quite surprised at how efficiently and quickly the work was performed. In the past when I brought in cars I purchased at other dealerships, the work was slow being completed. No mater how early the appointment, it took FOREVER for the work to be completed. I never got the car before mid to later afternoon. The work at the Subaru dealership was done quickly and efficiently. That was a real surprise. I was able to wait at the dealership for the work to be completed and it was done by mid morning. I give it top marks. And my Forrester runs beautifully.

I waited in the waiting room and found it to be clean and stocked with water, coffee, and tea, and the employees who would visit the station to get beverages were all very helpful and friendly, and everyone was wearing a mask. Terrible warranty service department. Took more than a month to get a repair done that was covered under an extended warranty I purchased. Worst part was throughout that time they never called me once, I had to call them each week to be told one exuse or another as to why there was a delay. Routine service took much longer than I was told or expected. I was told it would only take 1 1/2 hours to complete. It took more than 3 hours, a great inconvenience to me. I had to reschedule a doctors appointment due to delays in completing service. They forgot to wash my car when it was offered to me as part of the service. I then had to wait even longer for my car to get washed. I found out that another customer brought their car in earlier than their scheduled appointment and that car had multiple problems. I was told that was the reason it took so long for the dealer to complete the service on my car maintenance. Then had other customer with multiple problems with their car wait longer to complete that service. It appeared preference was give to other customer which I felt was unjust, poor customer service.
