My experience during my visit was pleasant. I got the helped I needed for my car inspection. The staff were very informative and friendly. Ill definitely be bringing my car here for routine service and other repairs. As a bonus, there is a nice coffee shop across the street with delicious meals. It was recommended to me by the gentlemen that assisted me.

Been with David and AutoAid since 2010. Best mechanic shop in the valley. Great all around people. Always able to fix my truck and backs every job up. Best customer service. When you drop off ur car they will give you Lyft home if you don’t have a ride. David has built up an amazing business to be proud of. Update on previously reported issue: Business agreed to provide me with a full refund and I was satisfied with this resolution.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Complete rip off! Not only was I way overcharged for an inferior tire (Hankook) to my original manufacturer tire (Continental ProContact RX), I feel I was lied to because I was told that this is a comparable tire, just a different brand; that is not the case! The replaced tire is not just a different brand, it is also a different tire rating (92V Hankook vs 96W Continental ProContact RX) which my car’s manufacturer (Tesla) does not recommend, nor will my warranty in case something happens and they see that a non-recommended tire was used.I will be honest, the business did tell me if you want the original Tire it will cost you $501 vs the Hankook for $282, albeit still way overpriced (just search the web and you’ll see why AutoAid is waay overpriced). Also, I guess to their defense, the owner did specifically say: “I understand we may not be the cheapest…”.I get it, I was given the option of getting the original tire and, understandably, paying the price for it if I want to vs getting an alternative brand (Hankook) at a much less expensive price.My issue is, why lie to me and tell me these are the right tires for your car but a different brand and then sell me a tire with a completely different speed rating that can potentially jeopardize my safety.As a side note, there was another customer there with me who was simultaneously complaining about being overcharged for replacing his headlights, which again is the business’s prerogative; it’s his business, and he gets to choose the price, if you don’t like it, go somewhere else. However, I just want others to be aware of this, as there is no sign or disclaimer that warns you that “you may be overcharge”.I’m hoping an escalation to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, BBB, etc. won’t be necessary and I will call AutoAid on Monday, as they are closed on weekends, to explain the situation and give the business and honest chance to correct any misunderstanding because mistakes do happen and most businesses are not I’ll-intended and I don’t leave AutoAid intended to necessarily fool me since they have generally decent reviews.I will try to update my posting once I have a resolution or an update.

AutoAid does good work and theyre always quick and honest. Ive been twice now for oil changes and I always have a pleasant experience. The inspections they conduct are thorough and flag and highlight anything that needs attention, or is otherwise noteworthy. Its really convenient to be texted/emailed the full report. Most recently, AutoAid caught an issue I had with my cars AC condenser and they mentioned the work to replace it would be free if I take the vehicle to the dealership, due to an extended warranty for the specific part. I had overheating problems. So they replaced my water pump and and hoses and belts. While they were checking out my vehicle they noticed that I had a broken sway bar bushing and recommended I have that replaced as well. They competed the job all in a few hours which was a nice surprise. No complaints. I would recommend AutoAid to anyone.

As previously stated, The staff is extremely friendly and gracious. I am grateful that I found this place. I’ve had horrific experiences in the past with mechanics/auto shops… I feel confident and comfortable with Auto Aid.Came in to do a smog inspection as I was from out of state and was in the middle of registering vehicle at DMV across the street. I had them do some fluid exchanges on my car. I sent them an email throughtheir website, but they responded back with a phone call. Everything went seamlessly and they completed my car the same day. Everyone was so nice, professional, friendly and attentive. The driver that drove me home while my car was being worked on was just as friendly and fun to talk to. Their rates are very competitive. Least expensive quality replacement of car glass in the valley.I have and aftermarket warranty from the dealership on a used car--I hated my dealerships shop and service. I found out that you dont have to service your car at the dealership and have never gone back.(David will look at your warranty and make sure that your warranty will cover their work.)AutoAid takes care of their customers. They will never overcharge or do unnecessary work. The last three oil changes they they told my my air filter was a little dirty and would need to change it soon. On the fourth oil change they said it was time to change it. A lot of places would just seek to change it the first time it was dirty to increase the bill.They are family owned and run and give excellent professional service.I feel lucky to have found and trustworthy, affordable mechanic.I dont live in the valley anymore but I drive 30 minutes to go to somebody I trust.

Great service, and set up well for social distancing. Outdoor seating area for consultations. Asked lots of questions about my car issue so that I knew we were in agreement about it. After the diagnostic checklist was completed I received an email with a detailed list with both possible issues and areas where the car was OK. this made it very easy to talk to the technician about what work needed to be done on my car at this time and what might need to be done later. The staff is super friendly and professional and the lobby is very welcoming. I love that it’s pet friendly, too- brought my doodle with me to pickup the car and she was offered doggie cookies. The staff explained everything that was included in the service and will send you a text once it’s completed with the details. Highly recommend!

AutoAid was recommended to me by a friend who had taken his car there. The minute I pulled my car into the garage, I was greeted by David who was really friendly and invited me in to the office so I could tell him what was going on with my car. I waited while they checked my car over which took less than a half an hour and they came back with a laundry list of work that needed to be done. This didnt surprise me in the least as my car has about 177,000 miles on it and it has been several years since I have had any major work done to it. Per took over to give me the estimate on what the repairs would cost me in parts and labor. When I mentioned that I am on a tight budget, he told me he would only look into the parts and repairs that could not wait.We made an appointment for me to come back a few days later when the parts would all be in. Again, I was greeted warmly by David and I was given a ride home by one of the other very friendly employees. The car was done as promised by the end of the day and I was picked up by Davids Father, Jack. This really is a family business.They also pride themselves on being a female friendly auto repair shop. This could not be more true. I never felt talked down to and I never felt like they were trying to sell me something I didnt need.I have to say that, even though it was an expensive trip, it could not have been any more pleasant than the experience I had with AutoAid. I highly recommend them for any service or repair you need done.

My personal mechanic sadly passed away this year so I was nervous and absolutely dreaded the idea of going to go to a public shop for maintenance, especially having an older car and being a young women but the staff was welcoming and very professional. There was a mistake in my belt service, which they were understanding of and fixed it free of charge.My only dislike is that they take hours/all day to do one thing if they have a busy schedule but they offer customers a ride home. Auto Aid always takes great care of me. This recent service was the first time I brought my wife’s car to them. We had received an estimate for work (some not entirely necessary) from the dealer. Jack picked the car up directly from the dealer so we didn’t have to transfer it ourselves. They then did the work for substantially less than the estimate given by the dealer and helped us prioritize other work to be done. I’m never taking my cars anywhere else.

Auto Aid was very professional and timely. I was towed there and really didn’t have much of a choice to repair my car. I was apprehensive because they were not my regular mechanic. Came in a little after 8AM on a Monday without an appointment for an oil change & general diagnostic. I acknowledged nobody likes to be put in that spot and my only requirement was I needed it back by 2 to pick my kid up from school. I received a text with photos from the diagnostic & a phone call around 1 when the car was ready for pick-up. They walked me through their findings without any pressure to follow up their recommendations immediately or even at their shop. They not only remembered that I needed it back ASAP - they remembered WHY I needed it back. It was a small but impressive detail, especially for a first time walk in customer, which is why I will go back to them to get the rest of that work done. The service is excellent, often above and beyond. Years ago, I was juggling a toddler and getting the vehicle serviced. One of the guys gave me a lift home in my own car so I didnt have to move the car seat. Last week, my husband dropped off the vehicle and forgot his lunch at the shop. They brought it to him!They do good work. I dont feel like theyre trying to upsell all the time. They treat you like family.They may be a bit more expensive than your average mechanic, but worth it.

I highly recommend the services of Auto Aide I was involved in a traumatic car accident and they were very patient, empathetic and compassionate in the they spoke to me every time I called about my.They made me feel important, as if I was their only client, even though they’re always very busy. Auto Aid did a fantastic job of diagnosing the problem with my Civic, took their time putting together a very detailed report, and gave me the exact info that I needed to make the appropriate decisions. They even found a problem that no one else had (a very small, nearly invisible crack in part of the engine block). Furthermore, all of these notes and records were promptly emailed to me. I have been coming to AutoAid for a few years now. It is the cleanest auto repair facility you will ever find. They are fast & friendly. Always seem to fit you in no matter how busy they are. They are AAA approved and Ask Patty (they certify that they are female friendly). The bathroom is cleaner than some Doctor offices. Auto Aid is the greatest! They run their shop better than the dealer! I went to the dealer recently for a recall notice, and they had nowhere near the follow-up and follow-through the Auto Aid has. Auto Aid consistently does a complete inspection of my vehicle each and every time I go, letting me know what things might need to be addressed in the future. I find this very helpful. I dont ever have time for reviews, but these guys more than deserve it.I came in and told the clerk I was moving to TX later that week, wanted to know if my car was good for the trip (If youre in sales, you just heard I have 0 return potential regardless of your service quality today. Make as much off me as you can, then get me out the door). They treated me like family, had answers for all my dumb questions, drove me home to wait for my COURTESY inspection (100% couldve charged for diagnostics, I asked for a full check). Within an hour, they texted me any concerns w/ pics for context, and told me I forgot my wallet (which had oh idk ~$500 in loose bills?), and my passport on the back seat floor. Told me what was necessary to fix for the trip, and what I could put off (again, fully aware they wouldnt get any business they didnt take that day). After I confirmed everything, they fixed it all in a couple hours. From hello, to driving off the lot, all in one afternoon.Im not exaggerating. Ive maybe wrote 1 other review for a business my entire life (Im 30). I support people who do their job because they care about it, not because it makes them money. They told me what was necessary, what was not, and what could be left to my decision to go either way (safe side or caution if not replacing/fixing). I went to Dave at AutoAid after going to a highly-rated hybrid specialist in the area. I was planning a trip cross-country and wanted a diagnostic and inspection to see what, if any, needed repairs were to keep me safe. The specialists listed $1600 worth of repairs, none of which it turned out I needed. Dave got me in and out first thing to keep me from having to be without the car for a day, & found nothing to be wrong that would get in the way of a successful trip. And he did it for free. It gave me great peace of mind, & when I called him for a quick follow-up question (weather-related) he even mentioned the minor issue of what type of washer fluid I might have that could give me trouble; (it did!). I have so much appreciation for Dave. This trip was long and turned out to be harder than I anticipated due to winds, snow, icy roads. I would not have felt as safe had I not gone to AutoAid. We moved out to Oak Park last year and were worried that we would have to trust our 2013 Ford Edge to another mechanic closer to us. Unfortunately, during his exam, the driving instructor informed us that the back brake lights were broken and were not lighting up. We had no idea until this moment, and it was clearly too late. My little brother was unable to take the driving exam. We were all stressed; feeling hopeless. We panicked and did not know where to go in order to get our brake lights fixed and fixed immediately. Yet another wonderful experience at AutoAid. I brought my car in and David got in the car with me for a quick ride so he could hear the squeaks and noises the car was making. While the car was being serviced, I broke out my laptop and used their wifi. Very comfy there. Squeaks Gone. Rattles Gone. Oil Change Done. Headlight lenses polished...and it all cost less than I had expected. Overall, a GREAT experience. My experience with Auto Aid has been the best experience Ive ever had with mechanics. I am an older woman and have owned a number of cars mostly used and in some need of repair. Needless to say most of the mechanics in the past either did a shoddy job or over charged me for their services. Ive made reports to the BBB and have had to take 2 of them to court (I won, by the way). As for Auto Aid, I was caught between a rock and a hard place when the used car Id purchased blew a gasket. AAA towed my car there and the next day I was on the phone with Dave who informed me what I was dealing with and what it would take to fix it. After I recovered from the shock, I humbly asked him to have my car towed to my house because I was broke. Instead Dave came up with a plan that allowed me to have my car fixed . I must say I have had no problems with their repair work. They are honest, thorough they stand by their work. They are my mechanics for life.

I ama senior citizen and recently was side swiped by an unlicensed driver. My carwas drivable but in pretty bad shape. After contacting my insurance carrier and having the adjuster come to my home and provide me with the cost of repairs, I called Autoaid and spoke with David. I explaind my situation and inquired as to who did their auto body work. David advised me and after I received payment from the insurance company called David again to ask him if he could figure out a way for me to get the car to the body shop. David actually offered to come by and pick up the car and deliver it to the body shop for me. Today David returned my car looking brand new and with no sign of it ever having been hit. His reommendation was the best. I am still home boundbut now know that when I am ready to go, my car is ready too. Where else in this huge city can one find that kind of care and service? I have been with Autoaid forabout three years and I have never been more pleased, from the smallest item to the big job of auto body work, David, his father and all the other employees are just the best, warm, friendly, honest and the creme de la creme when it comes to keeping my car safe and in tip top shape. Service was same day oil change was done in an hour and a half I was out the door ordinarily I would have taken it to a friend or someone who knows cars but with auto and the service is backed by a good old fashioned satisfaction of a honest service couldnt have asked for a better service garage my first time there . The guys at AutoAid are expert diagnosticians. I brought a 2003 PT Cruiser GT to AutoAid after several other facilities (including a Chrysler Dealership) were unable to diagnose the problems with it randomly stalling while driving. After the first day, they had diagnosed the issue, and had a clear plan of action to resolve it.On another occasion, I brought them our 2006 Honda Odyssey to diagnose several issues. Again, they were able to identify and recommend solutions that other shops had overlooked. In this particular case, we had some miscommunication, and replaced the power steering pump unnecessarily. When this was identified, David made it good by refunding the cost of parts and labor on the replaced pump.The guys at AutoAid are stand-out experts in the field of independent auto shops - I will definitely go to them again.
