This company is not like it was before. It was dedicated to its customers. Now they are all about the money and leaving customers and dealerships out to dry worst warranty company ever they will find any loophole not to honor the contract. If you have a choice between buying AUL or paying cash for repairs, you will be better off paying out-of-pocket less stress

This company does Not cover anything.I have been refused 3times on items they say that they cover.The final straw was my last.They kept having my mechanic tearing apart my engine to find a cause. To see if I wasnt keeping up maintenance. When they could not find a cause other than I bought the car with a hidden problem. They refused to coverNow my car sits with the engine torn out and I cant afford to put it back together.Thanks A U L. Do Not Get This .It is a SCAM

Hello, I am going to be honest and I wont promote nor i work for another insurance company but this company “AUL” is a scam. Please nobody trust them. I have an insurance policy with them till now but they wont help me pay for anything issues with my car and they just blame everything on “oh it was a personal damage” when they well know its not. So please nobody trusts them and nobody buy a policy from them. This is as honest as I can be.

Any good reviews must be employees... As an employee of the automotive repair business for over 22 years I can say this is hands down, far and away the most difficult warranty company to deal with, they drag out claims and make unnecessary requests to make the customer go weeks upon weeks without their vehicles and shops have unnecessary down time. STAY AWAY!

I have a rear main seal leak and they don’t cover it. It says on my paperwork seals and gaskets. Sorry nope. I had previous work done and they only covered 3/4 of the job and I still had to dish out a lot of money out of my pocket. Tell me again why I have $100 deductible and I am paying a lot more out-of-pocket.They got your money so they don’t care. I would not recommend this company

Absolutely awful warranty company been back and forth with them about repairs for over a year now. Customer service is trash they never get back with you. Been working in the auto tech industry for a while and try and act like I don’t know what I’m talking about. They talk to you like you’re stupid. Never would recommend them to anyone buying a car.

Stay away from this outfit. What a waste of my hard earned money. Just submitted my first claim in 4 years after spending thousands on a lifetime warranty; 7 weeks in the shop and they hardly covered a thing. What a racket. Based on my unacceptable experience, I requested a cancellation of my policy and they directed me back to the dealer where I purchased my vehicle (likely because they hold a good chunk of the profit as well). When you go to request a refund they play games with their pro-rate. I paid for a lifetime/150k warranty and with only 48k on the clock youd think youd get ~2/3 of your warranty back. Nope. Not even half.Apparently the lifetime of a vehicle is 7 years. How convenient.When you call their customer service I always get the vibe that Im calling some random individual sitting on their couch at home half listening because they are probably busy selling my information online while I ask for help. Absolutely terrible.Dont even get me started on their roadside/towing... what a joke

Horrible company to work with. Paid over $3,300 for extended warranty, 1st claim they denied, no option for recourse. Rude to work with. Ended up having to purchase a replacement engine out of pocket. Now fighting with them for full refund of policy since it doesnt do any ggod.

Buyer beware!!! Dont make my mistake, go on the Better Business website and read the reviews. I purchased a warranty from them for $2060.00. The vehicle transmission went out in 20 days after the purchase and they denied the claim because of foreign substances in transmission fluid, with the inspector that never tested the fluid. Also, you will be on hold for 40 minutes to over an hour on hold .Than you will deal with some person with a bad attitude!! Keep that in mind of when you are broken down off the road at night. This company is just stealing money and denying claims. They have 6 pages of stuff not covered on a transmission! I would hate to see whats not covered on a motor. I canceled my contract in accordance to their cancelation guidelines and still havent received my money back. Well with that said they picked the wrong person to steal from! If they want a building to work in.

Purchased a 2010 Honda civic. The ac would work well then the next day not so well. Took it back to the dealer and told them I had a warranty though aul. They said I had a cracked condenser. It did take a couple of weeks before they got back to me but it was covered. The bill was $801 I had to pay $100. Other than the wait, i was happy. It went smooth and the car is fixed.

I purchased an extended warranty for my Audi A6 and have had it for a little over a year. The first time I needed to use the coverage was for two items that should technically be covered. Parking sensors that stopped working and a screen that would not retract on the dashboard. Both are listed in the warranty as covered items. Both claims were denied because of parts that they refused to pay for. Not to mention the customer service was not accommodating when I called in they just kept telling me I wasnt listening. Poor service and poor customer support. If you have the choice choose another warranty company.

An extremely unethical company with very poor customer service. I was told by a account manager that they cancelled my warranty the day after I made the extremely dumb decision to purchase their warranty. (For what its worth, I changed my mind after speaking with a mechanic friend and reading the poor reviews on the Better Business Bureau), yet they continued to take another payment from my bank account. I contacted them again only to be told that they could no longer cancel my account as it was out of their control as my account was actually with another company. If a dealer offers you their products, simply say, Not interested.

They refuse to pay a claim on rear lateral arms for my 18 Buick Enclave because of the surface rust on the nuts and bolts. The point of failure was the wear on the bushings and not rust as AUL claims.

Just because you spend money on the warranty through them doesn’t mean they will spend money on the repairs you bought the warranty for. They will do anything and everything they can to get out of paying. Down to going on your Facebook page to look through pictures to then find a completely different truck pulling a trailer to claim it was for business use even though that business is no longer in operation and it’s an extended cab(not a crew cab/4 door) different body style truck. Even when you pay the surcharge for having a suspension lift they will still try to deny it for that very reason. Save your money and don’t buy the warranty, instead use it to pay for your repairs yourself. At least you will have your vehicle repaired instead of being left without a vehicle while going through their song and dance.

I had an amazing experience. My cars transmission went out the beginning of June right after school was out. I was so stressed called AUL told them what was wrong and he said its covers and find a shop I would like to send it to. I sent it and gave them AULs number and that was it it took about a week to for them to approve everything and another week for them to fix it. I was so grateful and happy about how smooth everything went 😌

Called to ask questions concerning my warranty to understand exactly what it covers and a young lady named Brittany was very rude, lack luster, ghetto and unprofessional, it was clear she hates her job and furthermore hates providing consumers with adequate information needed to move forward with repairs for their car with a clear understanding. Denied my claim cause I only drove 280 from the time I purchased my truck. I was told to close to purchase date. Then it was I bought the truck with the problem. This company is a JOKE! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM! I purchased this Exclusionary warranty for my truck. It was sold to me as a warranty that would cover the entire vehicle up to 150,000 miles. The tuck has catastrophic transmission failure. The claim was denied due to a lift kit and oversized tires that were already on the vehicle at the time of purchase. This company claimed they would cover my vehicle, took the payment, and denied my claim for a modification that was already on the vehicle at the time of purchase. I am literally sick. the Rep Josh that I spoke to found it a laughing matter that I had no other avenue as to appeal option. The simply denied the claim and told me there is nothing I can do about it.

The company has done a good job with the maintenance element of our warranty, but they are not able to deliver the roadside assistance element of the warranty. This situation resulted in a young lady, my niece, being stranded on a rural highway for 8 HOURS overnight (11 pm until 8 am). AUL NEVER provided service. A relative of a coworker helped. Please be aware that this company is unable to consistently provide roadside assistance. My niece was safe and unharmed, but the next person in that position may not have that outcome. This is dangerous and completely unacceptable. Since the company cannot provide the service in a consistent manner, they have a responsibility to inform their customers, but they are not, so I am.

They denied covering a claim that was clearly a fault from manufacturing even after the shop that serviced it and the shop putting in the claim said this is a manufacturing fault. I work on equipment for a living and called in to ask them to review it because they were clearly wrong. I was not allowed to be transferred to a manager or someone in claims. I was stuck going in circles with customer service. Waste of money paying for a warranty when they will not pay for work to your vehicle.

Beware of their deceiving contracts! While their Reserve contract claims to pay for everything that is not stated in section 8, they did not pay for a burned out harness, even though wiring harnesses are not in their exclusion. They claimed it had to do with illumination which is excluded (with a deceiving list that only has things like Xenon lambs and LED controllers, no word of harnesses). Just think about this: harness failures are plentiful in cars. Almost all electricity in your car goes to something that includes a LED or something that glows. So, they exclude the majority of your electricity circuitry with this harmless sounding exclusion. When I bought this contract believing I was covered, but no, they just declined. I absolutely recommend to use a different extended warranty company!

Here we go again. I emailed 2 contacts from this company with a detailed report of repairs for my vehicle and still no response. I guess they are waiting for my warranty to expire in August before they reply. This is ridiculous. From the reviews I see I’m not the only one having issues with them. Why contract with people if you’re not going to honor the contract. We pay money n good faith for these warranties only to find out they are bogus. They don’t want to refund your money and they don’t want to make repairs covered by the warranty. This is bogus!!!

So just a warning about this company, I paid several thousand dollars for a lifetime powertrain warranty with a lifetime wrap which covers all major modules and electrical components in vehicle. The blind spot monitoring system in my vehicle has gone out due to a faulty module which is apparently located in the tail lamp assembly. Even though the warranty clearly states all electronic control modules the warranty company has denied my claim leaving me with a $189 diagnostic fee and a $1200 repair bill. I highly recommend when you purchase a warranty for your new vehicle you go with a more reputable company like Fidelity who has never denied a claim on my wife’s vehicle, and unfortunately I will have to plead my case to the selling dealer and/or court system to get my vehicle repaired

Have been having issues with claim I have had open for almost five months. Getting the the proper repairs approved by certified dealership seems to be very difficult even after an inspection was completed twice. The service manager has tried to contact a manager at AUL to discuss the repair procedure to move forward but nobody from AUL is responding. Very frustrated that I have had not had the issue resolved due to lack of communication and cooperation to approve the repairs. This has been the first and only claim filed since I bought my vehicle, and Im not sure I would go into another contract with AUL on my next vehicle. Disappointed service so far.

I would give less than a 1 star review if possible. I have a lifetime full wrap warranty that is supposed to cover everything on the vehicle that isnt considered regular maintenance (Tires, Oil, Brake Pads, etc.). My trucks exhaust manifold was leaking so I brought it in to be repaired. No big deal as it should be covered. Turns out one of the screws was stripped by a previous technician so now they wont cover the repairs. For a company to not cover such an expensive repair over something so small is absolutely ridiculous. This company will try their hardest to exclude your repairs. They will not show any compassion. They will not budge in the slightest towards your favor. They will not offer any consolation or attempts to right these situations. They just say, and I quote It is what it is. If you want a company that in understanding and accommodating then I suggest going with anyone but AUL. This company doesnt deserve your business. They should be shut down.

I am a customer of Sentinel and this warranty was sold to me by Kemba Credit Union. Apparently this warranty is supreme plus and covers everything as per the warranty coverage page. I had a engine light on and Repair Facility Found out Oil Pressure Sensor is not working for some reason. I always serviced my vehicle on time and changed oil. Now my repair facility which is Platinum Plus Auto Repair in 7805 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23294 tried to call them for 2 days. Claims department does not pick up. then I somehow get a hold of them and whatever part number they were mentioning in the call, all are not covered. Means when you say engine is covered, the parts(In my case oil pressure sensor) which becomes faulty are not covered. This Warranty company is a joke. They only cover those parts which does not get faulty. All my money is wasted. I want my money back as this warranty is not working at all. I dont want this warranty as It was never used and I will not be able to use it. in some way or other they will deny any claim. I talked to many service companies. Sentinel or AUL does not even allow to raise a claim saying all these are not covered to keep their claim reimbursement percentage high.

I purchased a used 2018 Jeep Compass from Fox Automotive Group in December 2022. At the time of purchase I was offered an option to purchase an extended warranty, The Reserve Warranty and told it was a bumper to bumper 20,000 mile warranty through AUL. Given that the vehicle had higher miles I purchased the warranty for just under $3000. After 6 months and taking the vehicle to 2 different dealerships for scheduled oil maintenances, my vehicle suffered a transmission failure/issue. I took the vehicle to the dealership to be diagnosed and repaired. The cause of failure was the PTU, which is a sealed compartment. At first inspection it was stated that there was a leak and that was reported on the claim, which AUL immediately denied stating “lack of maintenance” on my part. Upon further investigation the dealership then stated that it was not leaking fluid but the part failed and therefore the part lost fluid. I asked the dealership to call AUL and re-explain the new findings/diagnosis. AUL then requested a “tear down” of the unit so they could send an adjuster out to look. Once the adjuster looked at the part they told the dealership there were metal shavings in the unit and left. Again AUL stated the claim is not covered. I called AUL on a 3 way call with the service advisor from the dealership trying to get things resolved. I questioned and argued that if the PTU was truly leaking, why was there no evidence of the leaking, why were there no signs of something going wrong, how could 2 different dealerships not notice any evidence of a leak, and was pretty much told “I don’t know”. The person then informed me that this conversation can continue to go round and round but end of story the claim is denied, and there was nothing further that could be done.

Bad service. Transmission went out on my newer pick-up. AUL sent the mechanic a used transmission with unknown mileage and wasnt looked at internally. Weve been out a vehicle for 4 weeks and they wouldnt even take care of a rental car. Look elsewhere for your warranty policy holder.

AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!Terrible business. First of all; be aware of the contract terms. Your dealer wont tell you that youre going to pay $2000 over the 18 months for the warranty and, that warranty only covers up to $3000 max in that 18 months. So, if you dont have something very big happen to your car which youre lucky enough to have covered, you will pay more for the warranty than the repairs are worth. Thats called a SCAM. Also, if something not covered under their warranty fails, they wont cover anything that the failed part is in conjunction with. Thus, if a water pump stops working and your car over heats, they will NOT help you with any repairs at all, as the water pump is in conjunction with nearly everything. Be very very careful of what you purchase, read the entire contract, tell the sales person to shut up while you read it; they are trained to distract you.P.S. Stay Clear of CARSON CARS!

My parents bouht this for their nissan rogue. They are in late 80s. 2015 model less the 70k miles. Tech saw an oil leak. Was told keep at dealership and an inspector would come. Pictures wete sent. Was on a Thursday. No one showed till following Tuesday and told unconclusive. Had to rent a car. We decided to proceed trusting they would fix. On repair 2nd week on rental needed more Pictures of inside. Sent again. Waiting on determination. They always dealt with the dealership. Finally service manager got evolved and was approved. Now they dont want to pay rental. Very unprofessional and stressful for them. Waiting for the ax to drop on rental

Not worth the money. Bought a 2017 colorado. Shortly after, check engine light comes on. Mechanic said it was cam shaft position sensor. AUL covered it under warranty after I paid the $100 deductible no problem, it was cheap for them to cover.6 months later I begin have transmission shudder ( a common issue for the colorado but GM wont issue a recall). Mechanic says i need a new torque converter, which my AUL contract specifically states that they cover. The cost for the torque converter replacement would be $2600. AUL states that they will only authorize replacing the entire transmission with a brand new one. Sounds good right? Except AUL will only pay $3k towards a transmission, leaving me to pay the other $4k! Why would you replace an entire transmission when you could just replace the part that failed? I called and asked them that exact question and the response was because your torque converter is bad, you could POSSIBLY have other damage. So I asked them why the torque converter was specifically stated in my contract as a covered part? And under what circumstance they would cover the torque converter without replacing the entire transmission? They couldnt answer. I fully believe that the reason they will only authorize replacing the transmission is because they know that customers like me likely cant afford to pay the extra $4k. In which case nothing gets fixed and AUL pays nothing. Its a scam. Stay away.

Not worth the money. The brochure they use to sell the warranty is EXTREMELY misleading. I had a fuel pump issue which was allegedly covered under the warranty but there are 4 different parts related to the fuel pump and they only cover 1 and conveniently enough for them its the least expensive one. When you need them they will be do everything they can to stiff you. I spoke with management and they couldnt have cared less. Dont donate money to these people its an awful feeling.

As a Service Advisor and now as a Manager, having worked with many extended warranty companies i can say that AUL is the easiest one I deal with. I have called in claims where a policy is expired or an item wasnt covered and they have covered the repair since little to no claims had been previously reported. no other company has ever done that. Also the men and women with this company are always friendly, professional and helpful. just talked to Bruce Stinson and he was no different. i have raved about this company for years and felt it was time to share my experience.

Now possibly looking at head gasket or head or possibly engine replacement. They will cover gaskets but nothing else. Im looking at $10k plus out of pocket if it is. Karra was amazing. She spent over an hour fighting for me and my claim to be authorized. She was very transparent, professional, and a great listener. She gathered all necessary information and also pointed me in the right direction toward success. She was outstanding and had amazing customer service. The first AUL employee that I spoke to that was helpful and polite. I’ve spoken to at least 3 employees in the last 2-3 weeks that were either rude or didn’t know what they were talking about. She knew what she was talking about and more. She needs a raise today!

They are untrained and unqualified, they have you wait on the phone line for hours, while the customer representatives just sit in confusion they don’t care about granting the claim in your favor, knowing the car is falling apart— what’s the point of warranty, if you aren’t allowing customers to get their cars serviced, so they deny claims and say they can’t cover parts, this place is a rip off and such a fraud, big corporations like this do fraud! Because most of their comments you see none of AUL customers get serviced, be lucky if they even answer the phone. Oh and just save time and file a complaint with BBB because AUL doesn’t return emails or calls.

I’ve never had to use a car warranty before but let me tell you what a nightmare AUL has been to work with. First it will take you 30 to 45 minutes to get a hold of an actual human being. My car repair company has spent over 12 hours on hold trying to get my Audi A4 fixed in the shop. A well has done nothing but try to drag their feet and not pay the mechanics for their time. When I have reached out in emails to try to find out more information about my claim I was forwarded by the Adjuster in his email he told me basically to call customer service if I had questions. It has been almost a month now since my car has been in operable and the 100,000 mile/6 year warranty that I purchased is basically useless. DO NOT PURCHASE A WARANTEE FROM THEM!!!!! I will update this review if/when my claim is ever actually handled/completed but as for now almost a month later my car is still in the shop and they called me today to tell me that they have never experienced such a poor insurance company in their entire 50 years in business

How often is dealing with a warranty company a positive experience? Ive had two claims with AUL and cant say enough about them. My second claim is really complicated, really expensive, is still in process, and has been a nightmare. Long story short I started with a mobile mechanic that was unreliable so I ended up having it towed to a shop. I had lots of questions about how changing mechanics halfway through the repair would affect the warranty claim, and AUL has been great to work with every step of the way. Claims are processed quickly and the mechanics are paid directly. A great company with great employees.

My vehicle was sitting at the dealership for 74 days. AUL failed to communicate to the dealership in regards to repairs.. After a month, an inspector came and failed to approve repairs. After myself and the dealership called AUL to explain the problem the inspector failed to see, they sent another inspector out a month later.. after no word from AUL myself and the dealership called again and after a week, AUL approved repairs. Do to their error, they refuse to reimburse me any further than 8 days for the rental charges. Luckily the dealership saw how AUL treated me and worked with me to cut some of the cost, but Im still out of pocket.AUL is impossible to get ahold of. After you wait 30min to an hour someone redirects you and they cant hear you so they hang up. When you do talk to someone they give you very minimal details in regards to your case. In order for you to request anything in relation to your case notes they require a warrant. Ive tried submitting inquires online through their website and have yet to hear back from anyone. (12 days). For towing reimbursement, you have to send in a letter and invoice my mail for review. Who knows how long this will take or even if theyll cover it.It has been like pulling teeth with this warranty company.. Terrible costumer service, terrible communication and terrible reimbursement.

Being that it was a older car, we decided to take the warranty that this awful business offered (cost was a little over $2,000). Fast forward three weeks after the purchase, her car breaks down.She had the car towed (cost $200) and then ended it up at a repair shop. This was three weeks ago. Within two days of being at the shop, the mechanic stated that there were TWO holes in the engine, yes two, and that the car needs a motor swap. We tried calling the warranty company, and of course, they didnt answer. We waited for hours and no answer, just patiently waiting. The mechanic waited about an hour or two and got a hold of someone, who didnt like the mechanics diagnosis. Mind you, this mechanic has been doing this well over thirty years. Now we had to pay for another labor expense ($348) out of our pockets in order to complete a task that the warranty company wanted the mechanic to complete.My daughters car has been at the shop for the three weeks and the mechanic cant get answers from the fraud of a company. Buyers please DONT waste your hard earned money and purchase anything, I mean not even a can of soda from this company. My daughter is left paying for a car that she cant drive.We are consulting with lawyers to determine the best course of action. I know we are not the only ones who fell prey to this companies unethical work habits. Please come forward and talk to a lawyer so others wont have to go through this nightmare.

This company is the absolute worst to work with. Every claim we have had issues. Multiple phone calls from me and the dealership has called them multiple times. Prior claim my husband had to get on the phone multiple times to finally get the claim approved. This claim, after 8 phone calls, diagnosis and part numbers in hand, they finally decide to send out an Inspector/Adjustor to determine what caused the part to fail. I have to drive to dealership, leave the car there for 2 days to wait for the inspector to show up and then find out if the part is covered. I started the claim in December. Was promised a call back from the supervisor and that never happened. Called in and talked to a representative to find out if a Supervisor was calling me back today and rudely she told me they are sending out an inspector. We had a great experience with AUL. We were in the middle of moving and our power steering went out. Karra Osterkamp from AUL went above and beyond and was working closely with the team to expedite the process. She also showed a lot of compassion for our situation. Sold me a power train warranty and was told it covers the engine and transmission…. 3,000 miles later the engine is blown and they don’t cover it. I wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt and my total confidence, but unfortunately that’s not the case anymore. My check engine light came on on my 2017 Toyota Tacoma. I am strict with maintenance and always follow everything according to the manufacturer specs. The check engine light threw a P0420 code and required a Catalytic Convertor replacement. Long story short the warranty does not cover “emissions” related repairs. What a useless warranty. I’m out almost $3,000 on repairs at the dealership. Buyer beware. Financing company arranged for this warranty company so I did not have a choice in company. I have no idea how they came up with the repayment amount for a claim - but they did not cover the bill (less deductible of course) in entirety and I would have liked to know why.We used the towing service as well and since it was under 60 miles, it did not cost anything so that is a positive thing. We had an issue with the first tow company dispatched but I can’t really fault AUL for this.AUL customer service is very good, and I appreciate that they are available by phone call, email or texting. That was not convenient in any way, and so we had to use an outside garage and pay out of pocket. We had no way of knowing up front whether they would cover this claim and if so, how much. That’s the definite drawback to this service.

When I was purchasing my car this spring, I asked my mechanic about an extended warranty, whether they were worth the cost. He recommended them and spoke highly of AUL. AUL Reserve has been wonderful. In 2017 my transfer case in my BMW had to be replaced (expensive). AUL covered it 100%. In 2021 the blower motor & valve cover assembly in my same BMW had to be replaced. AUL COVERED IT 100%I am so glad that I purchased the AUL Reserve Car Warranty the day I bought my car in 2016. Yes, I was worried that it would be a waste of money, but the opposite is true. It has saved me more than double what I paid for the coverage.I will sell my car when my warranty ends. BMW’s are expensive to repair and driving one without a warranty is risk that I’m not willing to take.I’m not affiliated with AUL whatsoever, but they have been wonderful to me. I recently purchased a 2014 Chevy Volt from a local dealer. With all of the hybrid stuff and electronics in this thing I wanted to get some coverage as the factory warranty had expired. They offered me a policy from AUL assuring me this would cover everything I needed it to. Low and behold 4 months later the center screen goes blank. With fingers crossed I took it in to our local dealer. We had moved so this wasnt the same dealer I bought the car from. I brought in a copy of my policy and showed it to the guy there. He looked it over and said this should be covered and hed give me a call. Less than an hour later he called to tell me it was fully covered, they will have the parts tomorrow and if I needed a rental that was covered too!!! They did stay true and cover certain parts on my pickup however they didnt cover two pieces which should have been covered by them in my contract it does say any engine components including electrical or anything of that sort as well but they wouldnt cover my exhaust manifold. I have the AUL Estate warranty that I bought with my truck and financed it through my monthly payment. The Estate Plan is supposed to cover everything and is advertised as the best of the plans, even though I have a $100 deductible every time I take it in.I took my truck in for warranty work because of an error code for cylinder 7, which caused the check engine light to come on. Instead of covering all the ignition coils, they only covered the ONE that was bad, telling me that there was no guarantee another one would fail. I tried to explain to the warranty supervisor that this was an electrical system and that all 8 cylinders work as a unit and only replacing the one only extends the problem to surely fail on another cylinder. He said there was no guarantee that it would happen and that they could only replace the one that had the error.I drove my truck 20 miles after picking it up and the check engine light came on again and now I will be back at the shop in the morning to get diagnostics ran again and see which cylinder got the error.This kind of misguided logic will ultimately cost them more money to fix my truck and all because of an obtuse view of the firing system of a V8. I will NOT recommend AUL Corp for anyone looking to get an extended warranty because of the shortcomings of their logic in fixing an obvious problem. This means I will most likely have to take 6 more days off from work for each cylinder because they only want to cover 1 cylinder at a time when they just could have fixed it once and solved the problem.Does this make sense for an extended warranty? It’s not like I asked them to replace 4 tires because 1 had a hole in it.

Do not get a warranty through this company. My vehicle has been in the shop waiting for an engine swap for almost an entire year at this point. I bought an engine for it, so all they have to cover is the replacement itself. They dont even want to do that. Honestly, having my car held hostage this long is absurd and I will probably have to take further action against them.

I got a warranty with this company, even though all the bad reviews, thinking, hey maybe its because people only review when they get bad service. So far AUL has replaced my Transmission and are paying 90% of cost to fix my AC. I had my Van in for Tranny fix, they sent an estimator, mailed out tranny, and my shop had installed it, all in 9 days! (They even payed for 8 Days worth of Car Rental) A+ Service, and my Car Dealership said they were easy to speak/deal with. Purchased a warranty from this company last month when I purchased my truck for 3600 dollars. Which to me didnt sound too bad for the peace of mind to not have to worry about any issues that may arise during the warranty period. Come to find out the warranty is worthless. My fuel sending unit is bad in my truck and gives faulty readings. Diagnosed by the dealer at a replacement cost of 750. Of course its not covered though even though its an electrical item which is covered under my warranty. They state because its not specifically listed that its not covered. To me it doesnt make any sense as the contract is not worded that way and also has an area listed with items that are not covered. Seems to me that they will deny whatever they want to avoid paying for a service that they are selling. To me it feels like breach of contract but Im within my 60 day purchase so Im going to cancel while I can. If you are considering buying a warranty from this company by all means do what you feel is right but in my personal experience you are better off using the money that you would purchase this warranty with and apply it towards any repairs your vehicle may need.

They denied my claims and refuse to answer questions. I purchased a used car and the estate coverage contract in mid November. Since then my car is burning through oil. 6 quarts in 1000 miles. Took it to my dealership which sent me to Audi because they werent equipped to perform an oil consumption test and detected no visible leaks. At this time service agent informed me that Id just pay the $100 deductible and swing back through when the oil light comes back on or after 750 miles.Took the car to the Audi service which informed me the pcv valve is aftermarket and must be an original one to perform the test. Due to it not being a failing part, (and he informed me the pcv valve could be responsible for the excessive oil consumption) they denied coverage. I went back and forth with no resolution from my dealer or aul. The pcv valve is $355Its been 5 days now and after getting the run around from all involved, aul has also denied to cover the oil consumption test. Which Im now informed is $160 to start and $160 to inspect after the miles/oil light come on. Ive asked for invoices and pricing the entire time while being assured that it would all sort itself when they file claims. I was told I would possibly have to cover the pcv valve myself, so I attempted to communicate with the dealership to come to a fair resolution (split the part? Whatever they would agree to. None of that was even an option and theyre denying any wrong doing.)So a $100 diagnostic is now $675 to me out of pocket and no one is taking responsibility. I was sold this policy by the finance representative at the dealership. I was told every single thing was covered. My dealership is saying aul isnt cooperating. My sales rep has admitted to knowing nothing about the policies. Their service manager cant give me answers. I also asked if someone could confirm that the pcv valve would not affect coverage when it is complete and we find out where the car is losing oil. Everyone at my dealership has said it’s in their interest to deny claims and that’s ‘how these things work.’I called aul which said there were notes of an upcoming tests but that they didnt approve any service on my car. Upon asking if that affects future repairs i did not get any answers either.Today I asked again why neither service was covered and I was given yet another reason, the pcv valve apparently isnt covered because its emissions related and I wasnt given a real answer about the oil consumption test. Everyone Ive spoken to at the dealership is telling me that aul isnt cooperating and they just cant do anything about it.I paid $4200 for my policy and am pretty sure they will find any way to wiggle out of being responsible for claims.

Very disappointed in their business practices! I purchased a policy believing they would honor it in good faith, but quickly found out when I attempted to use the service I paid for that they have convenient loop holes in place so as to not cover your requested services. I have a classic coverage car warranty that clearly states it’s supposed to cover my powertrain. But, how convenient is it that it will not cover a broken part because a constant velocity boot was found torn? There was no proof that the damage to my front 106k mile axle was caused by this, but instead of giving their customer the benefit of doubt (especially since a reputable & certified service center was telling their claims taker what was going on) I and the service center just got a straight “no” we are not going to cover your vehicle parts. This vehicle was just literally serviced by a certified Jeep dealer a week prior (powertrain included) and nothing was found or meantioned about any seal/boot tears or signs of lubricant leakage. Also my contract states seals and gaskets are supposed to be covered. How do you not consider a constant velocity boot a seal!? It seals in the grease aka lubricant. That’s it’s soul purpose AUL!

Dont get their extended warranty!!! I purchased a Lexus IS 250 and got the warranty and was told it covers any manufacturer defect. One year after I had purchased my car, my side mirrors started to flap for no apparent reason, I then went on a couple of Lexus forums and discovered it was a major issue with the design but since no lives have been lost because of the defect Lexus decided not to issue a recall. I contacted AUL and informed them about the defect and they denied my claim stating that it was impact damage(even though there is no signs of physical damage all around the mirrors) and refused to believe me when I told them its a major issue and a number of customers have had that same problem. Im canceling my extended warranty as soon as possible!

I purchased a used car just one month ago and the dealership I purchased it from puts AUL warranties on the cars they finance and sell. The warranty was only for 3 months or 3,000 miles which gave me piece of mind since that should be enough time to figure out if your car is a lemon. The warranty was even touted to me as covering seals and gaskets! One month later and the check engine light came on. I take it back to the dealer who discovers that the catalytic converter is going out. They file a claim with AUL and guess what? That’s the one thing in the implied bumper to bumper warranty that’s conveniently not covered. So it looks like I may be on the hook for almost $1000 in repairs to car that I have only had for a month. The only difference between AUL and US Fidelis is the US Fidelis people went to prison for their great warranties. 0 Stars!!!

AUL is ok if you have a couple of small problems.If you get a major problem that causes other problems in the car, (even if your mechanic explains it to them) they dont want to cover it. I was actually told by one of the supervisors I would not be covered if the same fault code came up. It did come up a few times, it was just a very bad fault that caused multiple problems. I guess its ok for them to change the contract as they choose.They have no idea how many problems it caused me, and AUL just added to the stress.My mechanic is VERY honest and believe me, I didnt want these problems. I tried to save AUL money by not going to the dealer. BMW is FAR more expensive. I guess AUL doesnt really care about that.The customer is bound to the contract. AUL is not.

I purchased their warranty for a used Volkswagen Jetta TDI from the dealership, 5 months into ownership my #4 cylinder detonated from failure of lubrication. My warranty clearly states that all lubricated engine parts that are damaged due to failure of lubrication are covered. AUL comes back after inspection and says they are denying my claim because it was caused by the pcv valve and that is not a covered part. In none of my contract paperwork I received from the dealership does it state that the pcv valve is not covered. Now Im out $2600 for a new engine and since they are denying my claim $600 for a rental car. Mind you I paid $2500 for the warranty, so I would have been far better off saving the money instead. Do not do business with AUL I cannot stress this enough!!!!

I have had the estate contract with aul for a year And Ive had to use the contract twice 1st time I was denied so I called and complained and explained what was going on they denied it and then out of the blue they covered it. Has fuses listed as a uncovered item, they grouped fuses in with wearable items such as; spark plugs, wires, brake pad, heres my question. On day two of replacing a fuse and it blows, it is no longer a wearable item, diagnostics need to be performed to identify the component that is causing the fuse to blow. So why the loop hole? I spoke to 3 managers Charlie, Ryan, and Bobby. My engine has seized and they constantly deny the claim. I simply ask why and what inspections was done and to prove to me why my claim is being denied and they constantly give me excuses, dodge my questions, and give me a run around answers with no proof of testing or any diagnostics. As a customer I just want to understand what has caused the denial. I called today to check in, and Bobby said he had to handle something else and just hung up the phone. The warranty has a repair aggregate total payment cap of $5K.They are DEMAND the repair shop do a tear down of the engine to find cause. I have an extended warranty with them on my 2014 Ford Mustang GT and my car is a clean car that even Ford dealership said it’s a really clean car so I start hearing a ticking noise in the engine so I took it to Ford and diagnose it and then they said that the noise is coming from inside the engine and there is a metal shavings in the oil Caused by a failure in one of the bearings so they start taking apart the engine piece by piece because Aul wanted a Visible broken part because the shavings in the engine and a ticking noise apparently are not enough evidence for them so forward started taking it apart piece by piece which is almost 150 something pieces and every week AUL send an investigator to check but still not enough for them cuz they want a complete broken part . Apparently they don’t understand that the engine parts the inner parts are sensitive so I scratch in it might break the whole engine down soon and my file is still pending and my car is at the dealership on the lift

We bought our vehicle with a service contract provided by AUL. It SAID it covered A/C and electrical systems. When I couldn’t change which vents air came out, I called AUL. They informed me that all motors would be covered. I took the car to the repair shop. The shop said the motor that controlled the air direction was bad and needed to be replaced. However, that motor was not covered. I called am pressed them for an explanation. They told me again and again that this motor was not covered but refused to give an my other explanation as to why. They told me the window motors were covered. But not this one! It’s not operated by a rope and pulley system! It’s electrical! And electrical system is covered!

Took the car in for no heat and learned it looked like the head gasket was blown. First denial was since the dealership could not see other damage to of caused the failure so plan would not cover it. Upon repair of head gasket dealership notice that the bearing were shot and engine was knocking. Contacted AUL again about repair and damage due to non covered items are not covered under the plan. Meaning because the dealership did not test for other issuing in the beginning AUL considers the first problem (head gasket) to be the reason for engine failure. According to the dealership the gasket failing is only one possible explanation to why the engine failed. My policy covers engine failure due to normal wear and tear. An engine failing over time is part of wear and tear by any definition. Even if that was by parts giving out. At current AUL refuses to pay for anything on the vehicle. After calling and getting refused again told AUl that I would be filling a complaint with the BBB and that it could hurt their rating. Their response was that even if I did that it would not have any effect on their company. Simple disregard for customer service. First Google search of AUL comes up with AUL Complaints so believing I am not the first to have this problem with the company.

I paid $2300+ for an extended warranty and when my power steering failed. While they paid to have that fixed, they refused to pay for the wheel alignment that was required as part of the rack and pinion replacement. This resulted in the steering wheel tilted noticeably to one side while driving. Their justification was that the car is driving straight and thats all they care about. Will not recommend these douche bags!

Please be very careful about participating in any Warranty product from this company. Paid for a warranty $4,000. The warranty does not pay for any repairs, labor and or parts. Customer service is horrible and after three attempts on getting some help on recovering some repair costs. The only recourse I have is to tell all my friends and family how untrustworthy the company treats customers and never sign another warranty with this company.

Waste of money. If somthing is going to go wrong with your car enough to need an engin or tranny this company will do everything in there power to not cover the cost unless you are a car dealership with connections. I have been paying for a power train warranty for over 8 months and a cylinder lost compression they said because the cylinder had signs of burning that it was my fault. The car never overheated and its not like the would know because they never sent a adjuster to verify.STEER CLEAR.

Terrible, go with another. called 4pm sat to schedule 7am tow truck. called 6am monday to see if he is on the way. lady say 1.5hrs then get text from driver that says 5.5 hrs, it was 6.5 hrs later for pick up. auto shop diagnosis is crank shaft pulley/harmonic balancer and belt tensioner bad. lady at aul says not covered. keep your money dont spend it on these aholes.

I need an a/c compress replaced. They were willing to cover all cost of replacement until they learned we needed to do a flush of the system before installing. They refused to cover the flush or anything that had to do with it. It is standard procedure to flush the system before installing a new compresser in any A/C system. The contract says they cover installion but told me that the flush was my responsibility. I will never use them again.
