Alfonso went over and beyond in customer service when I was having trouble switching my phone number over from my Samsung to my iPhone, I thought I was going to have to go back to my old phone but he made multiple calls and tried everything until we were finally able to get my iPhone to work with my old number. I went to 3 different stores trying to get help and everyone else just gave up. He worked on it for at least 2 hours never complaining or acting like it was bothersome. Definitely an employee I’d try to hang on too at all costs. 5 stars plus…..

I had to buy a new phone yesterday because water got into my old phone. The sales person who helped me got me a new one. I asked him to set it up. He spent a minute on it and was done. I asked him about recovering my contacts and photos. He replied they are lost. He doesnt know what he is talking about. I was able to recover both thanks to google. That is very poor customer support. I give him an F.

I still haven’t gotten any promotional credits and they (AT&T salesperson) flat out lied to my face. I have tried filing FCC complaints twice and they (AT&T rep for the FCC complaint) have a very roundabout way of talking about these so called “credits”. It was the phone trade-in promotion for an $800 credit a few years back. Whatever you do, if you’re going to try AT&T, don’t get into any contracts with them or fall for their promotions. If you don’t trust me, simply search up “AT&T phone trade-in credit ..etc.” and you will see a lot of people who faced the same issues that I did. This was so long ago but each time I look at my AT&T bill I can’t believe it happened and yet I’m leaving a review so many more years later. I don’t even live here anymore (was here for DLI), but it was that bad. Also the wait is pretty bad too from what I can remember. I’m sure it’s fine for those who aren’t in any contracts but big companies shouldn’t be stealing from their customers is all I’m trying to say.

Two visits recently to this location -- and can only give the highest praise. Worked with Juan, who was extremely knowledgable and personable. He made both visits efficient and pleasant. The location manager is also terrific -- very oriented toward customer experience.Also appreciate the scope of option that were presented, never as pressure, but simply as general knowledge.Many thanks to this great team, and Happy Holidays!

Came to the store waited 30 minutes was checked in. Nobody was available to assist me with my problem. I asked for a manager they were on a break and then they continually to switch out the person at the door who checks people in but there was never anybody to help a person. .But there is always somebody at the door to hold a computer and check you in and then they just continually go on a break between the four employeesAbsolutely worst customer service. It’s a miracle AT&T is still in business.All four employees took a break while I was there, and nobody helped any of the people waiting.

I cant say the help I received on Saturday 3/9 was what I recalled as the AT&T standards. No 5 key behaviors. No name exchange. No open-ended questions. No building rapport. Definitely no smiles. No 3 pillars. Im a bit miffed by the sign on the door telling the public that they cant use the store to pass through. Its either a very large problem, or the door swing count is elevating their goals. Regardless, that is a lot of effort to deter people. And that is a waste of opportunities to get accessory revenue or feature revenue. Its very well possible that AT&T has changed its in-store expectations, but with a simple question, I was given an answer and moved on from. No sign in or account check. No attempt to sell me anything. (I really do enjoy hearing a pitch or how people position products and services). I feel like this store doesnt do well on the weekend. And if they have any Diamond winners (or, maybe, Summit winners), its with their M-F staff. Takeaways: If the girl did decide to build rapport and ask open-ended questions, she would have found (and clearly seen) that my wife was comparing the sizing of the Samsung line of devices. And likely, we would have upgraded her phone and bought a few things because I value conveinence over price. Lastly, if there was ASM coverage... maybe there would have been better behaviors? With close to 700 reviews, it looks like a great store. Maybe it was one of those days? Maybe there is an opportunity to coach and have more side-by-sides? Or maybe this is what life at AT&T is now?

The lady scanned my ID and started trying to run a credit check without telling me and when i confronted her about it she tried to lie to me it is illegal to run credit with out permission.This place is scummy avoid at all cost. Sand City AT&T made a mistake on my order and gave me wrong information, and they showed no care or attempt to fix anything after a few visits. I was on the edge to switch to Verizon.Felt the energy difference as soon as I stepped into this store. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Particularly, not only did Bryan help fix the mistake that others made efficiently, he also went above and beyond to take care of all the future issues.I have been an AT&T customer for over a decade, moved around different states and countries. This is THE BEST AT&T store I have ever been. Bryan is definitely one of the most helpful and passionate staff I have ran into. If Google allowed me to give a 6-star here, I would have.

I came into the store super excited to get one, but the set up was held up because my phone was two updates behind. I was really frustrated, but he put me at ease and waited with me while my phone went through two OS updates. He was very conversational and helped me pass the time. At&t store has the worse customer service. and the reps doesnt hide it. so if you walk in to buy an accessory for instance they will take care of you right away. i mean you dont need to be placed in the cue and wait. BUT if you do a return the reps will surely make you wait. its like a punishment coz you are returning a product. and i know the reason.. when a rep sells you an accessory they get a commission and of course when you return it they get a charge back. so they make you suffer because they are getting a charge back on their commission.. so lesson learned.. dont buy accessories from at&t stores..

One star for the Manager, Bravo and a GOLD star for the associate, Nicole equals a two-star review.Upon my arrival, Nicole checked me in and asked that I wait for someone to assist me but after seeing several employees walk by ignoring me, Nicole came over and asked how she could help. As the screen on the phone that AT&T sourced and sold me less than a month ago went out, I was in need of a quick solution. To better help me with that solution, Nicole got the Manager, Bravo, involved. However this was an unfortunate encounter as Bravos arrogance prevented him from successfully deescalating my situation. Calling me man in association to my age instead of addressing me with the respect all customers deserve, regardless of age, didnt help either. I wonder if female customers are treated with the same disrespect... Does the Manager address young female customers as woman or girl? Id say not...Avoid Management at all costs and stick with Nicole.

My husband and I went in to try to upgrade his phone. He’s on the next program & was eligible for an upgrade. This location is normally super busy so we were surprised to see 3 associates just sitting there looking bored. My husband was looking for a specific phone and the associate who helped us continuously told us he should wait until the new release next month. My husband had no interest in the new release, as he wanted a new phone today. Then the associate told my husband they have very little inventory of their phones. But if you look online, it has quite a bit of options, so the feeling that he didn’t want to help us was pretty prevalent. When my husband asked about a certain phone, the associate outright said they didn’t have it. He Didn’t look on the tablet or even offer to go look in the back. Finally, he told us in order to trade in his phone, we would need an att person to come to our home to fix his screen (that has literally no damage, no cracks or breaks) and that we would not be able to upgrade his phone until next month after the perfectly fine screen is fixed. I have used att insurance before and no one has ever needed to come to my home. I’m genuinely confused on why someone would be so adamant on not selling us a phone. I immediately left the store and went online, and my husbands new phone will be delivered to our home in a few days. I’m really disappointed. The fact I have to wait for it to be delivered, despite the website saying they have it in store, and the treatment of the staff is beyond frustrating. I’ve come here for my phone service for 8 years and will probably not be back to this location now.

I dread having to deal with my cellphone account. I always try and make an appointment with anything I do, if it’s an option. One day, I didn’t have an appointment for the AT&T store and was hoping someone could help me, I was so lucky to have met MONICA that day and have her assist me in replacing my screen protector. She was professional, kind, patient, and thorough. So much so, that when I had to go back to get my protector replaced again the following week, I requested for her to help me. Her customer service is amazing and much appreciated. If you ever have to go to an AT&T store to take care of business, head to the Del Monte Center location. Usually not enough customer service representatives available there is always at least a 10-45/1.5 hrs wait. Guess if you can get here by 8:00am you may fare better then my last experience.I do like the customer services once they turn to you and with high professionalism they typically handle most problems with respect, intellectually interesting facts and new information about whichever products I inquire about. The return policy is not customer friendly boasting short strict return policies and speaking for personal experience werent very pliable or forgiving if you deviate or are past the exp date for applicable return even with receipts careful at this place people dont let your returns, repairs warranties or exchanges lag past their super short return window, as I learned with a hundred dollar lesson.

I worked with a representative by the name of Shaniah and I have honestly never met a more patient and knowledgeable person in a retail environment. She helped me go through an overhaul of a process getting my plan changed from Xfinity to AT&T. Dealing with Xfinity was a huge mess, but she remained calm and diligent throughout the entire process and kept me up to date on all the steps she was taking to get the job done. Beyond that when I questioned about products and devices for my new service she never missed a beat. She provided me practical product solutions and helped steer me towards the products I needed rather than what was the most expensive. I’m beyond impressed after leaving this location.

Vanessa was incredibly patient and kind. She took extra time to work with my tedious and ill-informed request (on my part). She made sure I got every discount and savings option I could as I added and adjusted my plan & devices, and never once demonstrated any sort of frustration or impatience (which is huge, as I was in two days in a row to finish up the process). She kick me out from the store because i need her help. As an international hotelier for luxury hotels and resorts, I was very impressed with the team at Del Monte Center AT&T.Never would I have imagined the hardship of transferring phone service from Sprint/TMobile to. AT&T..To know fault of this team, it took me 3 days of driving back and forth from Big Sur because of no transfer of phone line service.Rene was my 1st contact and assistance and I was very impress with his customer service. The next day I drove from Big Sur to AT&T store over 50 miles and met Eddie. With his calm, caring service he told me he will assist me and assured me I will leave with my cell phone working.He itroduced me to Steve and he was outstanding! He took the time to 1st listen to all my frustrations and allowing me to vent. He then began correcting things immediately and he taught me lots about how to use my new call phone as well. He is an expert with Samsung if any readers need assistance you got to go see Steve!The team at this outlet is dynamic and they work so hard. servicing customers who come in all day with problems. My husband and I spent over 6 hours updating and fixing problems with Adrian at this Att store, Monterey CA, at the Del Monte Shopping Mall. (Problems that were created by a third party authorized dealer who lied to us while we were at the Att Pro Am golf tournament in Pebble Beach by the way - total sleaze bags) At the actual Att store the people especially Adrian and Maria were wonderful and patient and extremely helpful. AT&T sent me a bill for over $1,200 because they did not log in the phones that I sent back. AND they send me to a collection agency on top of it. Fortunately I was smart enough to save the receipt when I dropped off the phones at the post office. Why didnt I take it back to the store u ask? Cuz they would have charged us $100 to turn them in there!! So I was advised to mail them in and thats what I did, and of course they misplaced them, or did not log them in, or whatever BS excuse. However I will say that Jose B. the manager at the AT&T corporate store was awesome and really helped me out. So lets all hope that this nightmare is finally at an end... well see. Going on four months now since the BIG MISTAKE, and at least 30+ hours of my life spent miserably on the phone or in person or on hold forever with this company. 30+ hours of my life that I will never get back not to mention days of frustration, raising my blood pressure . . . I wanted to switch from Verizon to AT&T. My initial reasoning was because I am out in Carmel Valley most weekends with family and ever since a year and a half ago there are a ton of dead spots with Verizon that never used to be there before. My husband has had the WORST time trying to get FirstNet services from AT&T. He is a first responder and has been for 20 plus years. When we went to update his phone the Monterey store kindly offered to enroll him in this program. They offered all sorts of “free“ and discounted items that we did not need and would not have purchased but they “came with the program.“ We provided the requested proof of his license and employment. We were in the store for 3 hours doing all this.A few hours after we left the store he received an email from AT&T rejecting his proof. I tried resubmitting his license, employment id badge, and paystub - none of which AT&T would accept.The next day I called the Monterey store and the people there were very nice to try to help us clear this up. It took a day and a half but we were told he was enrolled. Lo and behold four days later we got another email saying we need to again provide proof of his eligibility.This sounds like a great program but the HOURS and hours we have spent on this is absurd. I fear being charged a couple thousand dollars for products and/ or another 3 hours visit to try to return everything. The people is the Monterey store have been nice but they have not gotten this resolved. I wish we had a different carrier at this point and do not recommend trying to enroll in firstnet through AT&T. I gave the review two stars only because the people in the store have been nice.

I walked into the Monterey AT&T store at Del Monte shopping center at my wits end. Super Long story short, our AT&T bill had a $300+ charge for phones that we had already returned. We called the corporate office for months and they kept telling us it would be taken care of but never was. We walked into the Monterey store and David C. listened to the whole issue, came up with a solution and worked with his manager to get it resolved. I went in to do a transfer from my old broken phone to my new phone. Rocky helped me out and was so amazing. I was really nervous and scared about losing all my pictures of my son (on the verge of tears) and Rocky kept telling me it will be alright and we will figure it out. I trated 2 phones since November 2019 supposed to get a credit for my devices yet I have not received any credit at all. Not to mention they quoted me a rate and I been paying almost $300 twice as much for what is written on paper from the person who assisted us. Its been month after month that I contact them and till now now solution has been done towards my account. They escalated the 2 months ago yet no answer from them. Do I recommend AT&T? I have never actually submitted one of these in the past, but my experience with the folks at this shop was do dreadful, infuriating, and demeaning that I was compelled to say something.Upon, arriving I was initially told that I would need to get on a queue, despite the fact that they did not ask or let me finish stating my purpose at their location. Once my turn came, a brief 10 minutes later, I managed to explain my case to the assigned agent. Since my inquiry was about a damaged phone, they asked if I had insurance and promptly placed me in front of an ipad to file a claim online. While the process might seem intuitive, it is a bit limiting if you as hamstrung by the lack of a phone as you will need a phone number or access to email to complete the verification. This meant I had to hunt down a third agent, who stopped me half way through my explanation in order to hook me up with a phone to call customer support. This process only cycled back to the need for verification via a email or a text, which was yet again impossible as I did not have a functional device. This mean I had to hunt down a fourth agent, to ask about other options, to my delight he briskly responded that they are a dealership and as such do not bother with providing customer support and urged me to try again, then proceeded to focus on his mobile device and ignore me.Such poor manners on behalf of all four agents who provided customer service. I really is a pity that AT&T has shifted all support services to remote centers and that the provided support mechanism is an oroboros of frustration aided by nonchalant employees who simply cant be bothered. Glossy shop, devoid of humans.

Just moved to Monterey and I went to this ATT store. I Transfered all my 5 lines to ATT and bought a tablet microsoft surface. I went back to switch the Microsoft surface to a laptop, and now comes the reality, can not help you cuz i paid in full the tablet even though i am ready to pay extra for the laptop i want. Worst store ever including the arrogant and weird managers. Went there couple of times, but still can not help me, they telling me to call 611. And 611 telling me to go to that store I purchased. What a run around. Will be reporting to FCC about this store and this ATT service.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I came in here with my mother to buy her an iPhone 12. The blonde lady politely told me that I have to wait, so she got my number. After 15 min of waiting outside in the cold, we decided to go to Macy’s and wait there. Another 15 min after and we get a call that it was our turn; and we were back at the store within less than 5 min. Some other guys greeted us this time. He told us that we were NOT on the list; and when I explained that we initially checked in a half hour ago and that we received a call from the store to come in, he rudely told us “I’m with a customer right now I told you I can’t help! Your only option is to check in and wait.” At this we just decided to leave because we weren’t ready to wait another half hour in the cold. On our way out the same guy ran up to us and asked for my last name; I simply told him “we’re leaving.” His response: “Fine by me.” Yes, that’s how we were treated on the Monday after Xmas.

Worst customer service! Got out on a waitlist with an hour and a half wait. Waited in the car literally staring at the phone. After 1.5 hours, went to check on the status. They lied and told us they called 3 times. Not even a single missed call (on an att phone). Told me I had to go back on the waitlist and wait another hour and a half. Called ATT and they couldn’t help the situation either. If this is the customer service ATT has, I’m switching to Verizon!!

Every time I enter the AT&T store in Monterey I feel like the entire staff immediately wants to make sure my experience is pleasant and that I am taken care of. When you are dealing with a business like cell phone and data plans, sometimes you will have to wait a few minutes to get it all worked out. But the staff at this store will immediately greet you and help you with whatever you need in the most timely fashion possible. Best AT&T store I have ever had the pleasure of being in. A true testament to great service.

Zero stars. This is personal. This company repeatedly has the worst customer service of any large, national institution. From long phone call waits, to transfers that require further long call waits, to being transferred to a department that insists for 30 minutes that I need to purchase an extended service plan instead of transferring me to where I can get help with DirecTV service which ATT also ruined, to overcharging me over $1000 when I combined my services, to insisting I didn’t pay my final bill when I finally had had enough with their poor service and actually have bank statements proving I paid, to trying to ruin my credit rating! Absolutely nothing good to be said about this company.

AT&T is advertising trade in your iPhone 5 by Oct 31st and get $200 credit for the 6.Well that a big line of you know what. The rude sale person looks at my phone I have a slight scratch as big as a pin hole and he says we can only give you $60 because the company we work with is really stricked. As he is standing over the neon sign that says trade in your phone and get $200 I mean the phone is in perfect condition.The sales gut was rude not helpful and the classic case of hiring someone that doesnt care.I walked over to apple I was greeted and traded my phone in for $165.I pay $120 a month for bad reception and now misleading advertisement.Nick C was the only sales person that nice and helpful and Knowledgeable.I guess version is the way to go. My friend walked into Version tonight handed them her phone and got top $$ on trade in.

Best experience of any att store I have ever had. A friend bought a phone at Best Buy it wasnt working all the time and finally quit. The sales person determined that Best Buy cut the sim card to make it fit and thats why the phone didnt work. We were in and out in 10 minutes.
