Went in on Saturday to check out the store. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Jasmin. She was very knowledgeable & helpful. She showed me around the store & they have everything you need. I met Cypher who helped me make a decision on my controller. They were very transparent & were not pushy at all. I walked out with a REV7. Overall had a great experience & just being in the store is a vibe.

Interstellar products and inventory. Vibe is no joke a black light DJ den with great aesthetic. Everyone was helpful and educated on the specifics of individual gear and engineering. Nobody has fish tanks in the lobby anymore and after being here I think more people should. If you’re a DJ and you’re looking for the perfect hidden gem to find quality gear look no further. Houston we have no problem recommending Astro.

As soon as I walked in for the first time, I was greeted with a smile and tour of their store which has amazing cool equipment for everyone. I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to help setup up this colorful dance floor at a few gigs and I must say i’ve developed such great liking to it. This company is a scam. Great service from this store. I purchased a Macki mixer board, and I love it. The only thing is that they dont offer a warranty only through the manufacturer. They have a repair place and should offer to have one. There is a hassle when dealing with shipping and handling costs. Not to mention, the time frame to have it fixed could take up to several months. Please be aware just to have and item looked at is $45.00 and a minimum cost of $90.00 to have something fixed. The repair place is limited to a little time frame until 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. So I was told. This means some people will have to take a day off to go there. Street parking is limited and on a very narrow busy main street.

I took my 80s vintage Onkyo TX5000 stereo receiver in for repair. Its been sitting in a very hot storage barn for 12 years and needless to say it didnt work once I took it out and plugged it in. I took it to Robert and he fixed it all up like new for a reasonable price. I highly recommend them for any audio/video needs you may have.

They usually match other dj online stores so theres no worries about getting the best price.However the best part is that they explain the product you are interested in detail, so you wont end up purchasing something that you dont really need. Sometimes they have demos and used gear as well so thats a plus.So if you are ever in So Cal, go down to Astro AVL and pick up the gear you need, they probably will have it. One last thing, its not like the giant superstores where they leave you waiting and hanging around. Astros has prompt service and they do their best to get you in and out in a hurry. Peace!

I came to Astro A.V.L. knowing about this place since the 80’s but forgot about it until I was on line searching the web for places close to me and was done with guitar center because it now has guys that just don’t seem as knowledgeable about what they are selling. So, a couple weeks ago I found myself djing in a gig with some new equipment that I purchased at Astro, for some reason I had complications with signal from laptop to phase and turntables .. I knew that I was in trouble and time was running out ! So I decided to reach out to Astro to see if any dj that works there would be able to help me out . I came across a very nice young lady by the name of Jazmine . Even though she was working . She managed to stay on the phone for almost 2 hours directing me on how to establish a connection ! Lonnie at Astro AV and Lighting was incredible! He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were looking for some DJ equipment to rent for our wedding and we were pretty lost. He helped us figure out exactly what we needed and didn’t need. In the end, the speakers we had already rented plus our friend’s DJ set up was all we needed so we didn’t have to rent anything from Astro’s at all. I guess this place is fine for house party DJs to rent from, but anything beyond that and these guys are a nightmare. Staff is beyond incompetent sometimes, like Guitar Center bad. I was once working on a corporate fundraiser where Astro was handling the somewhat basic video setup. The owner of the company had to drive out to figure out their video switching unit after three of their techs couldnt. I recommend working with a more reputable company. Theres plenty of them in LA.

Learning the art of djing was something Ive wanted to do for years. With the new year approaching I thought, Why wait until 2019... So on November 2018 I signed up for Dj classes at Astro Audio Video Lighting with Brendan as my instructor. Brendan is an excellent instructor. I learned more from him in 3 lessons than I would of learned on my own in 3 months (believe me, I tried).He is flawless at mixing and teaches you how to beat count, listen to music, mix, use effects, and other techniques. Him, Cyph, and the rest of the crew at Astro Audio Video and Lighting are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable in dj, music production, and audio/video equipment. I would recommend Astro Audio Video Lighting if your interested in djing or interested in purchasing sound or lighting equipment.
