Proceed with caution when working with Ascent Roofing. I had multiple issues with the company, (formerly known as Alpha Roofing).1) When my roof was redone in 2019 to prepare for a solar installation, the contract workers hired left clear water bottles filled with urine around the roof and publicly visible areas of my driveway. The issue was resolved when I talked to Carlos about it.2) There is a lack of follow through with communication for repairs. Around December 2023 I noticed a leak in my roof, I tried contacting Carlos via email and found out that the email address changed. When I contacted via phone, Carlos texted me that he would check out the issue on a Tuesday. Without a visit, Carlos gave me a quote via text of about $600 to possibly get the roof fixed and to have me verify if there truly is a leak. Carlos never came to visit as initially agreed upon, and I waited until January 2024 to reconnect with Carlos when I saw that there truly was a leak. I contacted Carlos on a Monday and was informed that I would be contacted few days to schedule a repair. I had no contact for a week. When I reached out the following Monday, I still hadnt receive any contact from Ascent Roofing until I posted a 2-star Google review. Within 15 minutes of posting a review, I received a call from Carlos and a planned visit for that afternoon.3) Repairs were done but not to satisfactory. Although there was a 3rd party project on my roof that possibly contributed to the leak, Carloss father, Jose, proceeded to repair the area of the leak. However, weeks after the repairs were done, my husband checked the roof and noticed shingles were not fixed in place appropriately.4) Before repairs were done to my roof, Carlos asked me to change my Google review on the company. When I made changes to my review (from 2 stars to 4), Carlos was not satisfied and requested I takey review down if I had an ounce of a negative experience in the review. Being incentived to remove my review and thinking there was nothing for me to gain by leaving the review up, I deleted my Google review on the company.5) In March 2024, I reported to Carlos about another leak in the roof and scheduled an appointment to have it assessed. When I requested for a time after 4 p.m., Carlos texted me that he could not accommodate because of a commitment to take his kids to practice at 5:15. On the agreed upon date and time of the assessment appointment, Carlos informed me that he was running behind. Carlos didnt arrive at my home until around 6:45 p.m. Not only was he over two hours late from the scheduled appointment, he quoted my husband $450 for the repair for work that could have been prevented had rotten wood been replaced in 2019.The unprofessional communication practice and desire to be perceived as a competent and consumer oriented company is amazing. Be wary when working with Ascent Roofing. Im glad many people have had positive experiences. I, unfortunately, have had multiple misses with them.

I was really impressed with the workmanship of the men on this job who shingled the roof of our single story home. We have a hip roof with an interesting roof line and solar panels. Joses knowledge about solar systems was helpful in selecting their bid. The roof was completed in the estimated time even though we had an interrupting rain shower.We also forgot to ask about a gutter replacement until the day they started the roofing. They recommended a company and coordinated with the installer by removing the old gutter which saved time and effort.

AscentRoofingSD replaced our roof, and I couldnt be happier with the results! The work was carried out professionally and timely, and the quality is top-notch. Josue and his roofing team were very polite and demonstrated excellent communication throughout the entire process, always answering my questions through phone calls and text promptly. Their attention to detail and work ethic truly stands out. The roof looks amazing. I would definitely hire them again for any future roofing needs.

Sorry for posting this late. I highly recommend ascent roofing. Carlos was very professional and informative through the whole process. Our roof was original with the home and after the heavy rain this winter we had several leaks which indicated we needed new underlayment and likely had bad/corroded plywood. Their price was very reasonable and competitive compared to the numerous companies that I had come to quote for the roof. His team is very hard working and cleaned up each day that they worked. I’m glad I went with this company and will recommend them to my friends and neighbors in the future. Thank you!

Carlos and his team were easy to work with. My Homeowners Association used Ascent to replace our flat roof. Pricing was very competitive and his team was always quick to respond throughout the process. Ascent was even able to complete the new roof in half the time originally quoted. We look forward to continuing to work with Ascent.

We hired Ascent Roofing to replace the underlayment on our roof, based on the recommendation of a friend who had used them previously. We mostly just interacted with Carlos and his father Jose, they were both very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Their team got the roof done in less time than originally planned. Also, we have solar panels on our roof, and our solar company has become unreachable/out of business in the years since the install, so we didnt have anyone to handle the panel removal/reinstall. Jose was able to remove our panels and then put them back up after the re-roof, and the system is back to working just as well as it did before. We are very happy with the job Ascent Roofing did, and would recommend them to anyone needing work done on their roof.

Carlos and his team prepared my roof for a solar install, they had to remove the tiles, put on shingles and then after the solar panels were installed replace the tiles.They showed up on time, worked hard, and were a pleasure to have around. They listened to what I wanted, and the work they did looks great and passed the citys inspection I would thoroughly recommend Ascent Roofing

Ascent Roofing was highly recommended to us by a Solar System company. Our roof has metal tiles and the Solar Panels needed to be installed on a stronger roof surface. Ascent roofing was hired to replace the metal roof panels with composite tiles in the areas where the Solar Panels were going to be installed and once the on a Solar Panels were installed then Ascent would picture frame the roof with the original metal tiles. Not too many roofing companies provide these services. Ascent has professional employees with more than 30 years of direct roofing experience. The total process needed to be completed in a tight timeline with working around the recent rains in S. California. Ascent completed the project professionally prior to the deadlines with paying utmost attention to all the details. Any issues were promptly dealt with full satisfaction. We highly recommend the company for roofing work.We are appreciative of Carlos managing all the contract details plus coordination and of Jose & his team members performing the work with due diligence.Thank you, Ascent for helping us achieve our objectives!

Ascent Roofing is AMAZING! We had over eight companies come and give us bids…Ascent was the most professional and was the best value. They gave us a projected start date and they actually started on that date! Their crew was so professional and I have never seen a more efficient process! Our roofis massive and they had it done in TWO days. They also fixed our facia etc. We have dealt with a lot of contractors over the decades and Ascent Roofing was one of the best experiences! Five stars all the way!

We installed solar panels but our roof was over 25 yrs old so we had to replace it. Ascent Roofing came in and gave us a reasonable estimate. The work that Mr. Carlos Alfaro, proprietor, and his crew performed was flawless and on time. They tore down the double layer shingles, replaced the dated and unsightly whirly bird vents and replaced them with the Ohagin-type flushed vents, and installed Cornings 50-yr warranty roofing materials. They were very professional, polite, and made sure that everything was according to code and to our satisfaction.I strongly recommend Ascent Roofing for any of your roofing needs. You wont be disappointed.
