To sum it up: Not Professional, sloppy work, unreliable and terrible service. Larry Lerner was referred to me by a colleague. In my first meting with Larry himself (I never got to see him or talk to him thereafter...), he gave me -what I later concluded - was an empty sales pitch of how great his company is in dealing with clients like us, who work in the film and TV industry. Fact is: Once he has you signed up he puts some junior person to do your return. In my case, that person had no clue, made a lot of mistakes, was entirely unable to organize the documentation we sent (we literally sent the same stuff at least three to four times), non-responsive when we asked questions, and then spits our a computerized return that made no sense. The depreciation schedules for two years of returns - as we found out recently- were simply and entirely forgotten. In the one year and we sold a business they forgot to mention that in the rerun, and fill out the appropriate form in connection with the return, which caused us issues on many levels thereafter. Lastly - they forgot to file the return (even though we gave them electronic filing authorization), which we didnt find out until we received a letter from the IRS requesting the return. This firm seems to consist of a bunch of unorganized, sloppy CPAs (or juniors) who have no clue, and dont care about their clients. I called and emailed many times about mistakes I saw on my returns and questions i had, and I didnt get any answers. Total non-responsiveness. Yet I got a HUGE bill of over $2500, twice. When I called them today to ask for my depreciation schedules - which were left out for not just one, but two years of returns (sloppy - as I said), I get yet an another email from Amy in their office asking for money. I am paying to receive what I should have received with my returns in the first place ? I call that blackmail. When i refuse o pay her, I get an email from Larry Lerner stating they could not do the schedules because the previous accountant had not done them, and they had no information. First of all, why did no one tell me this THEN. Secondly, I actually have the previous returns done by my previous CPA in front of me, which showed detailed depreciation schedules. So Larry was simply lying and putting his mistake on the previous CPA. That alone speak for itself. Anyway, today I sent Larry the previous CPAs deprecation schedules for the prior year (which -again- he had received before - THREE TIMES), again for his convenience. Hopefully now we get the depreciation schedules for 2016 and 2017. I should mention also, that had referred a colleague to them, after the initial positive sales pitch meeting, who - by the way- had experienced very similar issues with this firm. I am sure he and I are not the only ones. All I can say is: DONT HIRE THEM! They are rude, unprofessional, sloppy, and dont care about their clients whatsoever.

ABMG is stupendous! Larry not only helped me get a large tax return, but his prices to do my taxes were very reasonable. He is even open on the weekends! He was so flexible with my work schedule. He also opened my eyes to retirement, annuities and a 401k etc. I could tell he truly cared about me and my future. He was giving me AMAZING advice about how to secure my future and live a TAX FREE RETIREMENT. I give him my highest recommendation.

This firm is by far the best I’ve worked with over the years they go out of their way to help which is incredible certainly these days when everybody’s been going crazy for the last two years they are focused and generally great people and very professional.Alan
