Archway installed a beautiful new garage door for us in 2018. Their service has been impeccable. One of our springs broke yesterday, Rich was out here this morning to repair. Rich and James are both outstanding, and they back up the warranty provided. Fair prices, and excellent service...Why consider using any other garage door company?

I called Archway because I wanted to use a local company with good ratings. Zach came out and tried for an hour to fix my existing opener motor and when that didn’t work, I decided to replace it. Normally, I comparison shop quite a bit but in this case, I got such a good feeling from them, I decided on the spot. The new motor works extremely well and they are professional from start to finish.

These guys are the best. I a world that seems to be filling up with shady characters in the garage door business, these guys are absolutely trustworthy. I just used them on my house after they came and did my moms. I did this because when they came to my moms they gave a real quote and did the work on the spot. This was after another company quoted me more than $700 more than they charged and included a bunch of work that didnt need to be done. Im a customer for life.

What I love most about archway garage doors, is they stuck to their word and when I called the day before the door was supposed to arrive I was holding my breath because I figured they would give me some excuse why it wasnt there cuz I had such a bad experience with the door that they took down and replaced. But that wasnt the way it went with archwayIt was delivered on the day that they told me and that day the scheduling was done for the next day I would recommend them highly theyre true to their word. And the two gentlemen that installed it were very nice very informative and did a nice job on the cleanup! Thanks again archway for restoring my faith in people 👍

We reached out to Archway Garage Doors to have our garage door changed a few months back and we ran into some issues due to the manufacturer sending in doors with defects, but through it all the Archway team was professional and kept us informed every step of the way. Had we used a different installation team, the situation would have been way more frustrating. This industry has gotten really shady the past few years. We had an issue with my mom’s garage and called another company that came out and estimated almost $500 for the repair and then said they would have to come back because it was a two-person job and would need to charge another $200. Then, they recommended new cables and wheels on one side for another $250. I called Archway the next morning and they had someone out within a few hours. I did take a little extra work but fell within the range of what they estimated. In the end, it didn’t need a new cable or wheel and Zack got it working great for a whopping $230. From the moment I spoke with them I felt like it was a real company that just charged what they charged as opposed to getting onsite and then trying to get as much out of you as possible. I hardly every give reviews unless it’s truly warranted. This place earned it. Another thing – I find many reviews are from haters or people who are pressured by the service technicians. You should look at the bad reviews and especially the number of them relative to the total reviews. These guys had only a couple of negative reviews and I understand why. Highly recommended!!

No issues with Zack. He arrived early, diagnosed the issue and provided a reasonable solution. The reason for the absence of 2 stars is because of the $55 service fee for service in Oxnard. Archway apparently doesn’t service Oxnard due to lack of business in area and driving distance. I have no problem with this. However, Archway never advised this when I scheduled the appointment. I learned of it after the appointment was completed. I was told they accepted the appointment because I was a returning customer (I appreciate this). However, I don’t feel very appreciated when they charge me $55 extra for the “appreciation “ without giving me the choice to agree to the terms. I’ve never received a $55 charge from any company in appreciation for my loyalty.

Eric, part owner of the company came and repaired the sagging garage door opener belt and a setting nut stuck with stripped threads. The damaged nut was caused by my previous effort of trying to adjust the belt to take up the slack. Eric was wonderful and did it all patiently and reworked the nut and in the end put the belt back with the right tension. Now the garage door openers works smoothly. Before Eric was ready to leave, he noticed that my garage door track frame was damaged and bent out of shape by a damage caused by the car backing into it previously. He was very kind to take upon himself to resecure the holding bracket and straightened out the bent track frame to prevent any potential problem with the folding garage door slipping out of the track. He did not charge extra for that. A number 1 service in my book. Big thanks to him and the company.

Very disappointed I talked to the lady on the phone and she was lovely and very helpful. I explained my situation and getting this as a referral from my roofer who told me that you guys were creative and could help me with my problem and affordable . We were very happy with the service provided by Rick. Our garage door opener kept jamming and seemed to be straining to open the door. About 1 1/2 yrs prior another company replaced a broken spring and the motor. Since then we had issues with loose cables and poor performance. Although that guy returned to address the issues we lost confidence and decided to call Archway Garage Doors. Rick was able to diagnose the root of the problem right away. After giving the system a tune up, adjusting spring tension, replacing roller wheels, and repairing the poor wiring job done previously on the sensor eyes he got the whole system running smoothly. It was our mistake having an unlicensed garage door company come out the first time. I highly recommend Archway and will use them again when needed.

After hiring and spending $20k+ with Archway since 2018 and having them as our primary garage vendor for both our condo complex garage as well as my personal residential roll-up garage, I can no longer recommend them. James, the co-owner, has serviced my residential roll-up garage in my residence about 4 times. Yesterday, upon coming out for a service call and identifying my garage to be at catastrophic failure due to fraying cables, he said it would take a few weeks for him to source parts, and I am better with finding a new vendor that may carry those parts in stock. He gave me some options and none of those vendors could service my unit because I am a residential property. After going back to James to ask him to move forward with the parts, he ghosted me and then texted me that he could not take the job. I was shocked to see a lack of loyalty for a previous customer, or sense or urgency in helping, given the condition of the garage and circumstances. This is not a business you can expect to trust long-term.

My storage garage which only had entry through the garage door(not attached to house) had a cable break and it was stuck in closed position. I thought we needed to cut through the garage door to access but Rick from Archway was able to find a way in using his many years of experience. The quote was reasonable and repairs done quickly and professionally. Rick even completed a service on my main garage door as it was included in service all quote. Its been a long time since I felt like a contractor gave good value and quality service. Im thankful there are still people like Rick who take pride in their craft and treat customers fairly in their time of distress. Contractors could easily take advantage of the pressing situation. First off I would like to commend James for being extremely responsive when I was locked out of my garage when my old motor broke. He came even though his day off, and he was really friendly and knowledgeable.We scheduled the replacement of the motor, Kevin came right on time to install a lift master unit. Zak was great and very pleasant to work with. Since that part of my garage was packed and a lot of the items were too heavy to move he was okay with what I left. He answered all my questions and was very knowledgable about what he was doing. I also want to thank the company for doing the repair. I had forgotten that I left an iron bed headboard in the way of the garage door when it closed. This resulted in the door being bent and not closing properly. I called several door companies to repair the door since it matches a double next to it. They all said they couldnt repair it and I had to get a new door but it wont match my other one exactly. Archway said no problem and it was fixed and works perfectly and the price for doing it was much better than having to get a new door that didnt match. So they are the only place I will ever call when I have a garage door problem.

Called Archway at 8:00 a.m. today and they had a repairman at my home at 8:30 a.m. -- maybe I got lucky because they had someone nearby, but impressive!When I first called they gladly informed me of their hourly rate and parts cost (both were reasonable) and when the tech arrived he confirmed the pricing. No attempt to upsell me on additional services or exaggerate the repairs needed. The other company I called would only say theyd provide a free estimate once their tech arrived, which to me is a huge red flag, so Archway got my business. Happy I called them. Our bracket that connects the garage arm to the door snapped from a broken spring. Archway came out very quickly and fixed the issue. Excellent organization. Our garage door coil had broken. Archway was able to accommodate us and send out technicians on the same day. Jim and his technician effected repairs and replaced the coil 4 hours after we made the initial service call.Update: I again had need of Archways services when our garage door failed to open. By the sound, I initially thought that the motor had finally failed after 25 years. I called Archway at 8:20 AM and Zack, their technician, arrived about an hour and a half later. Zack quickly determined the cause of the problem (trolly stripped on screw drive motor) and gave me replacement alternatives. The pricing was fair and our garage door was back in operation an hour later.From the initial phone call to the time Zack the technician left the site, our entire experience was again exceptionally positive. The work was of high quality, neatly executed over a 4 hour period and counseled on existing garage equipment (springs). This has been a terrible experience!Archway installed primed for paint ready garage doors. We were told we were getting a top brand, CarriageHouse, all wood doors to learn that we were sold, a basic low end (only partially engineered wood) garage doors. We paid a premium for these doors with the expectation that this would be a professional job. We saw after they were installed that they were splitting apart, just a few months later.In addition, we were never instructed that these should have been painted completely before install? How did Archway not take care of this?We contacted them and they constantly promise that they will rectify situation. On our first visit the technician Zach was thorough in examining the problem, he found the problem and ensured we could get the door open and closed until a permanent solution could be put in place.The earliest appointment was 3 days he arrived at the time promised worked to replace the existing motor/rail/sensors/and opener. Great job, husband and wife that came were extremely detailed and did everything to make it work. Was sure they needed to do demo regardless or raising the door tracks or lowering but they fit everything in perfectly. Exactly what I was looking for highly recommend.

Came out next day after call. Fixed a limit sensor for me on the spot in 10 minutes. Honest company no BS. Another contractor had come out the previous day and tried to sell me on a whole new unit that would have cost me a ton of money. Watch out for the hustlers and get at least two companies to look at the problem. For me, Im going with Archway from now on. Thanks guys!
