We recently did the Teslas Secret room with a larger group of 8. While we enjoyed the experience, I would consider it below the average of escape rooms Ive done in the LA area.Positive:- Easy booking process through website.- Plenty of street-side (metered) parking nearby.- Fun theme with a couple creative puzzles.Not-so-positive:- The game master seemed stressed. We had some delays getting into the room, and the introduction was rattled off. Some of the rules were also (somewhat aggressively) repeated across the verbal intro, room intro video, and signs in the room.- Sound from a group in an adjacent escape room kept penetrating the walls, which was both distracting and broke the immersion.- The puzzles werent very well distributed in the available space. We were a larger group and most of us ended up standing on top of each other.- Due to some confusing sequencing/layout involving a door, we solved the final part of the room in a way that was not intended.Overall, enjoyable room with some production quality gaps. Its probably a better room for a smaller group (around 3-4). It was not worth the price per person for our larger group.

Fantastic Escape rooms! Its a great place that feels a little hidden, but their escape rooms are well made and a lot of fun! Ive done two of the rooms, one with 3 people and one with 7 and it worked out great with either size! The staff is also fantastic. I highly recommend this place, one of the best escape rooms in LA!

It was so much fun! My friends and I did the Tesla challenge and it was challenging lol. But we made it with time to spare! The whole place was well decorated. We were able to find clues in every part of the space (two rooms and a hallway). Everything fit the theme, was interactive, and all used for the clues. One of the rooms was so pretty and sparkly hehe.Our Gamemaster, Gabi, was amazing! She gave us the rules, guided us when we asked for help, and made sure we had fun and stayed safe! She took our pictures as well:)Its best to arrive early, like 5-10min. That way you get the rules out the way! Depends on which challenge you choose, since we chose Tesla, we got a full hour to find clues and beat the game. Dont use force for anything, if its meant to open/come off/move, then it will. Make sure to lower your voice when approaching the door since other games are in session. Theres a timer so you know how much time is left. There are cameras monitoring your activity, so the game goes well and we stay safe.My group paid $39 each for the game! Theres parking in the front. They have a restroom and water if you need:) You get to take photos after!

This was my second time doing an escape room. My group did the Tesla room. We escaped! Overall I would have to say the service was pretty good. My group unknown we arrive tardy and the attendee made the schedule work for us. The room was fairly tiny… But what is it in LA, but it was done cleverly. And I I would have to say everyone in the group enjoyed themselves and came out with a smile. If you’ve never done an escape room or even if you have, I would say this place would be worth checking out.

An amazing and fun experience at this escape room location. We did the Orient Express where you have to solve a murder and escape the train. The employees were very nice and into the role when they had to explain the rules and theme.

Super fun, rooms are put together nice and I think a size of 6 people is just right without being too crammed. Our game master was great and explained everything clearly. Parking on the street can be a giant pain and is metered, so check out the free parking lot on Baird near Gault. If youve never done these before, its definitely worth a shot, and you will have a great time. We did the Orient Express.

Ive done quite a few escape rooms, and this place is my favorite. Weve had Bethany twice, and she is helpful and friendly. So far, Ive done Tesla and Bonnie/Clyde. Both are well done and very interactive. They are not easy puzzles, but they can help guide you through it if you need assistance.

So much fun! I was really wanting to do an escape room on a Friday night and found this one - they had an opening for the Bonnie and Clyde room at 930 so we booked it.Super easy to find due to it being on a main street. The workers were inviting and super helpful before we went into the room. The room itself was a lot of fun - very tricky! Id definitely come back and try the other rooms because it was a good price for the experience.

UPDATE:Back for the second time around and this time we did the Orient Express room! We escaped this room with 15 minutes left to spare. Although most of the puzzle are just basic locks and keys, this room uses some more higher tech puzzles than the Houdini room. With that being said I thought that the difficulty level was about same between both. There are lots of puzzles that keep you moving and thinking the entire time and there is never a dull moment. We did have to use our hints and the GM did a great job of pointing us in the right direction yet not blatantly giving us the answer, which I appreciate.I am also happy to report that the rooms now have countdowns them! Also the staff is still as amazing and friendly as they were last time. They do a great job explaining the rooms backstory, the rules, and ways to get help if you need it. This time we even got to see some magic tricks while we were waiting for our room.If you are looking for an escape room to do that is well themed and well priced, I highly recommend Theme Quest (*Now Architect Escape Rooms*) ! Can’t wait to go back for the Bonnie and Clyde room!ORIGINAL POST: Did the Houdini Room (the smallest and most challenging room) and escaped with 1 minute left! Its a fairly low tech room (mostly just spin locks, and keys). The hint system was through walkie talkie and the GM was very attentive and helpful when we were stuck on some of the puzzles. There are no red herrings in this room, which is very useful so that you dont get stuck on something that isnt part of the game.Only negative thing is that there is no countdown in the room so you either have to ask, or just remember the time you started and time yourself on the clock.The staff was very helpful and friendly. We ended up parking outside in the metered parking. I believe it was $1.50 for 1 hour. We will be back for the other 2 rooms.

Just went tonight. We did the Teslas Secret room with seven people. Honestly eight people might have felt crowded, its not a huge room. But we had lots of fun! We wouldnt have escaped in time without asking for hints a couple times via walkie talkie. One puzzle in particular was very subtle... But their hints were super helpful. 👌 Kind, smiling staff. A++ Thank yoo!Parking is metered street parking, but free after 8pm.Go and enjoy! Youll have a blast.To the room designers, if you read this, the video at the beginning is a little hokey and unnecessary in our opinion. It didnt add any new information and just felt like an obstacle in the way of us getting to have fun. If you do keep it, please turn the volume up bc it was hard to hear.

This escape room is GREAT, actually all 4! We cant wait for the new room they are building!We have done all 4, and left Tesla for last, and it was the best choice as Chris said, since this room of all 4, is the hardest one.Chris is awesome! So friendly and professional he has been there the las 2 times we have been there and he is very nice, makes your experience so much better and fun!We love the fact that you can just go with your own group and they never add more people with you 😉 thank you guys!

Absolutely fantastic experience. The Orient Express room was really well done and the puzzles were so fascinating and varied. We got obsessed with solving the room. We had to get some clues from the Game Master (this was our first ever escape room) but she was super great at helping but not giving too much away. Staff are amazing. Totally recommend this!

We did the orient express room. 2 ppl. This was our 2nd escape room ever so it was a bit hard for us. Our host was great though! She was very helpful and interactive with us. We will absolutely be coming back to do the other rooms.Street parking is $1.50 for 90 mins. Clean bathrooms. Come 25 mins early to sign a waiver & give them ur email for the picture they take at the end!

Really well crafted escape room right in the heart of the San Fernando Valley! The staff was delightful, and helped with clues appropriately. The Tesla room was great and such a fun family activity to do for mothers/fathers day. Really looking forward to come back and try the other rooms 🙂

This was a fun little escape room. Right from the start, the street view of this site reminded me of going to a private underground club during the prohibition era. The windows are covered in black, the front door is locked and gated. The inside hall is painted red and dimly lit. That night we did the Bonnie and Clyde room. I would have to say it is one step up from the average escape room, we enjoyed ourselves. Weve been to at least 8 escape rooms and without giving anything away,. they did have some very imaginative and clever clues. Our host that evening was animated, friendly and upbeat. She played her character well. I gave it 4 stars because the Bonnie and Clyde game was enclosed in just one room. I find it much more enjoyable and challenging when there are several rooms to explore in. However, they did a excellent job with the one room they had. BTW, we did escape with time left.

Architect does a really good job with their escape rooms. I have done two of their three rooms and have experienced nothing but a challenge. Both of the rooms that I did were fun and entertaining. The orient express was difficult but in a good way and had many levels to the room. Bonnie and Clyde was a small room that had a lot of twists. Im excited for their new room Tesla that should be coming soon. Caitlin and Bethany were really friendly and professional. Caitlin was our game room host and we only used her twice for clues. I cant wait to check out their Tesla Room

Done two rooms here and have had a blast at both. Theyre well done puzzles and themed well. Bonny and Clyde on particular is very unique and fun, havent done a room that requires doing some of the things that room required.This is a great hidden place with a great set of rooms that are already being expanded along with a whole addition set of rooms sometime this year.This place is baller. This place was just wonderful! The feeling of mystery starts the moment you arrive, ringing the doorbell of a building that makes you feel like you’re trying to get into a speakeasy or another sort of secret establishment. You walk into a dark entry and there we met Josh, who was extremely pleasant, helpful, and helped make the entire experience memorable. My group tried the Houdini room, which was a blast! We ended up finishing with 9 minutes to spare, after getting 3 very helpful clues from Josh. I’ve tried a couple other escape rooms places, but this was the best one I’ve ever done! We ended up trying the orient express one right after! I loved the logic behind the puzzles and feel the rooms were expertly set up. All in all, an amazing place!

Highly recommend this place. Super friendly and helpful staff. The room I did was really well done (houdini). It was just me and one other person and we got it done with like 3 minutes left. The room wasnt the biggest. I think 3 to 4 people would probably be the most Id want to do that room with. Definitely want to go back and try their other rooms.

My friends and I played Orient Express on Friday. Our game master (Brittain) was fabulous!! The puzzles in the room were fun and pretty clever. The decor and ambiance in the room wasn’t amazing, but I’ve definitely seen worse. Biggest downside was you could 100% hear the players in the room next door. Good time overall though.

This was our first trip to an escape room ever, so that was exciting. The young lady who helped us was Britain. She was so great, knowledgable but more importantly as excited as we were! She explained everything in extreme detail so we were ready to go as soon we entered the room. The room and plan was brilliant. We were 6 people total and I feel like it was just enough brain power to work together and solve this thing. You def have to use your brain but itself the room is very interesting. We finished under 50 min and had a fantastic time for sure. Will definitely want to visit the other rooms in the future as well.

The employee named Britain was excellent. She was kind, generous, and made us feel welcomed. In our opinion she deserves a raise because we are here on vacation and she made this the best activity we did. The murder mystery room we did was very fun and I highly recommend. Did the Orient Express with my wife, brother in-law, and nephew and we had a blast. The room is really great with alot of details and the hosts are awesome. Josh was our game master and while we did not give him alot of work to do, he made the whole experience super fun. Highly recommend this room. We made it out a little fast but we had a solid 4-some really working each aspect of the room and working as a team. Not sure we would have been so quick as a 2 person team.

I took my 12 year old daughter, her friend and my 15 year old son...we did the Bonnie and Clyde room and it was so fun, creative and challenging, yet do-able...we escaped with 12 minutes to spare (although we asked for a few extra clues that we probably didnt need but the kids were freaking out because they thought we were running out of time). Lot of fun. We did the one with the killer on the train. it was so much fun and they were very helpful about giving us the right clues when we were stuck without holding our hands through it. Would highly recommend. Cant wait to go back and cant wait for their Nuclear Apocalypse room to open.

Great experience and atmosphere - came for a corporate team builder and the crew were professional and enthusiastic. We escaped from the Houdini room (using 2 hints) and I was impressed by the production value and the creativity of some of the puzzles we encountered. Ive done a few escape rooms previously, and this room/company was definitely one of the better ones.Parking is limited with street-only parking which is somewhat crowded in the area so I recommend budgeting extra time in case you need to park a bit far and walk. True to the promises on the website, there is a spacious and comfy indoor and outdoor lounge area with coffee available for all those who follow the arrive 15 minutes early instructions - this is a perk not seen in most rooms and only adds to the positive experience, escape or not!

This place is a must for everyone that want to do something fun and different other than going to dinner and a movie . Price is reasonable and the staff is very friendly and helpful.A big thank you to David for greeting us, explaining how the escape room worked and for being helpful and funny at the same time ..I went with my grown children ( ages 21 to 30) and we had a blast. The clues were so interesting and very well thought of and planned. When we got stuck we were able to communicate with David through a Walky talky.I will definitely go again and try another room..

My kids 8 - 11 and my husband joined me for Houdini’s Hideout and loved it! It was very entertaining and challenging. My kids were able to join in the fun and found several clues. Even with three young children we finished with 10 mins to spare and no hints. I was worried they wouldn’t be able to understand clues, but they did. That being said, it wasn’t too easy. We want to come back and do a different room.

First and foremost, we need to give a BIG shoutout to one of the game masters, Britain. One of the nicest, friendliest, most interactive, and most helpful escape room staff weve ever had the pleasure of working with. She was perfectly splendid. That being said, onto the experience.For only having ONE location, they have their branding so much more established than any of the escape rooms (except maybe Escape Hotel Hollywood, but we havent visited that one yet). Key chains, mugs, even jewelry bearing the brand and logo are available in their lobby. As for the rooms, we did the Orient Express and Houdinis Hideout in our first visit.Orient Express is currently my second favorite room (my current first is Vampire with Maze Rooms which is a very very close match). The theming was beautiful and more than a handful of their puzzles were very unconventional. It was refreshing to play an escape room that doesnt keep rehashing the same tired, old techniques. Its a fantastic medium difficulty game that is pretty linear but exciting.Houdinis Hideout was much more difficult but very fun. Just a word of warning, certain clues are very well hidden so LOOK EVERYWHERE... and I mean EVERYWHERE!! This game is mostly linear but a handful of clues will require direct solutions without being lead to it.If there is any advice I can give you, its this: TRUST your UV light. We are coming back for the other 2 in a few days. Hands down, Architect is one of THE BEST escape rooms in LA County.

From the beginning, the location has a feeling of mystery. We tried the Orient Express which was not what we were expecting but it was still definitely entertaining. It was our first time so the biggest hindrance we had was our worry of breaking anything or doing something we arent supposed to do. Dont worry, they are watching so if you do something you arent supposed to, they will let you know. Joseph was extremely helpful and kind enough to let us finish the game because we were the last group of the night. Than you for that Joseph. Extremely fun and well definitely come back to give it another go with another situation.

I love this place. So far, its the only escape room Ive been to, but my group says its the best place theyve been to so far.Every clue just blew our mind because it all tied back to each other. The best place to go to an escape room is Theme Quest!!! I went with my family and had such an amazing time !!! I really recomend coming here with family and friends to this place.
