Pretty bad service the give a appointment for two hours later, and then when the time comes up they send me a message and after 5 minutes they send me another one saying that they move forward with the next appointment, so I show upIn the store waited for another half an hour and hasn’t been help yet.

Bought a laptop for my business today after retiring my 11 year old desktop. I went in a while ago to feel the difference between the 14” and 16” MacBook pro and wanted to make my purchase online to be fulfilled through the Mission Viejo Store. I paid for the same day delivery and it arrived within a couple hours in perfect condition. So excited to open my new Laptop and get started! 💻

This has to be the worse Apple store in the chain. I called in advance to ensure a Tech would be available and was told to come in. Upon arrival, I was told to come back tomorrow. My displeasure was escalated to 3 people each of whom showed no concern for me or the fact that I was told to come in. As if the experience wasn’t bad enough, I was given a dissertation on Tech staffing. I’ve never seen such a universal disregard for customer service across multiple employees — in one store.

I am computer challenged, so let start by saying I need lots of help with my Mac Air. Tyler is the Genius technician who helped me. He is upbeat, friendly, intelligent, and kind. He answered all my questions and never lost patience if I needed to see how something was done more than once.I went to another computer repair shop to help me get back into my locked out Mac.( I forgot my password) they wanted me to leave my computer and pay $100. Tyler had it fixed in only moments. Lesson learned that I need help start with Apple. I am very impressed with how they treat their customers. They made sure every step of the way I was checked in and helped.Tip: located in Mission Mall close to Nordstrom, upstairs

The technician attempted to deceive me by insisting I needed to purchase a new phone when all I required was a screen replacement. Furthermore, without asking for further details, they immediately inquired about water damage. They provided no alternative solutions for screen repair. Seeking clarity, I approached another employee who outlined a more professional approach. They suggested examining the phone for water damage, with the assurance that if present, they could reassemble it and return it to me. Conversely, if there were no signs of water damage, they would proceed with the screen replacement service. This stark contrast in professionalism between the two interactions vividly.

Stopped by after work to ask how much an ipad mini case costs, and to ask if its worth getting a case with the keyboard included. i stood by the wall with the ipad cases for 10 minutes while everyone else was busy. nobody even bothered to let me know that they would be with me shortly. i walked out after feeling like an idiot for wastingmy time.

I visited the Apple store in Mission Viejo and purchased an iPhone 13 for my mom. She encountered significant issues with it, and sometimes the videos do not display properly. While attempting to comment on Instagram, she faced difficulties. I explained the situation to one of the Apple store staff. Initially, he claimed I didnt purchase the iPhone from their store, but after showing him the receipt, he attempted to downplay the issues. I clarified that the problems were intermittent. Its absurd to think I would bring my moms iPhone here without a valid reason. I requested to speak with his manager, and other rude individuals joined the conversation with raised voices. This was an unprecedented and disappointing experience in any Apple store. This is a shame for Apple.

I just had a very unplesant experience at the Apple store in Mission Viejo. Yesterday Ive purchased apple watch series 9. That was the very first smart watch that Ive purchased. Since I did not have my iphone with me, I came four hours later to ask for assistance in getting watch paired with the iphone. I was directed to Genius Bar where I was told that the genius bar is for solving difficult technical problems, and not for helping new users getting started with just purchased watch. I asked for the tutorial on youtube and was directed to YT Apple channel. I was also signed up for the class 10 days later. Next day, my watch died and I did not know what is wrong. So I went to Apple store where I was advised that my battery was dead because new watches are powered up only up to about 25%. I did not know about it and I wished that I was advised that before starting using watch I should power-it up. Powering up the watch solved the problem, but I was told that Apple store is not for teaching new users how to use the watch. I asked how long watch battery lasts and how long it takes to power-up the watch and do I need to do anything to waterproof my watch when I go swimming. And when I wanted to ask a next question, I was told that I already asked two questions. So I walked out of the store not to bother good apple people any more. I spent $600 on watch and accesories, I bought two years of Apple Care but that was not enough not to be treated in a condescending and rude manner. Im 75 year old woman and I was treated like an intruder who was imposing herself on the precious time of workers at the Apple store. The store was not busy and there were plenty of people in green t-shirts with apple logo wondering around so clearly they could spent few minutes answering my questions. BTW - I could buy apple watch on Amazon, but instead I drove to Apple store in Mission Viejo Mall, because in my naivete I thought that had I had any questions they would help me.

COVID UPDATE-this has been by favorite Apple Store of all time. It is large, well stocked, and I have always been impressed with the staff. In normal times it is always busy, with classes and demos and the Genius Bar activity.Now that they have reopened it is set up with a half dozen or so service booths just inside the door. One side cues for Genius appointments the other for pick up of items bought on-line. They were able to accommodate me on a walk up basis for a purchase with just a minimal wait. Same great service. I am including a picture of the new set up.

The worst Apple store experience. Utter chaos. There seems to be only a handful of people who knew what they are doing and the rest needed to seek help to get the job done. Who knew that when you come into a shop, you have to wait around for a few hours to make your purchase. We know what we wanted and we just want to buy it and leave. Not hover around aimlessly waiting for a free agent. And then having to actively seek help from an agent that was also just freely hovering. Come over and engage! General customer service improvement needed all round.

I strongly urge anyone considering trading a phone there to first read my story. After purchasing a device and trading in my old phone, I sought assistance from one of the staff to transfer my data to the new phone. Unfortunately, due to the employee carelessly handling two customers simultaneously, my iCloud ended up getting locked. To make matters worse, the helper simply abandoned me, claiming there was nothing they could do to rectify the situation.Imagine the frustration of having all my valuable information trapped on the phone I had already traded in, with no way to transfer it to the new device. Desperate for help, I pleaded with other staff members, but each one coldly stated they were too busy with other customers to offer any assistance.Finally, after what felt like an eternity, someone suggested I buy back my old phone, which I did before leaving the store two hours later. Once I arrived home, I immediately contacted my carrier, who thankfully helped me reactivate the SIM card on my old phone.As a result of this dreadful encounter, I have made up my mind to return the new phone tomorrow. I cannot stress enough how horrendous this entire experience has been.

God i love this place. Ive been using apple product for years now and the only thing ghat i dont use anymore is apple computers. I am a professional photographer and videographer and even i hav the most powerful mac products i really hate to admit that windows machine really beats the mac in this area. The staff were dismissive and condescending. So rude! I just spent $2500 and they were all so rude. When I asked for help setting up a new computer, they sent me to a table to do it myself. When I asked for help again they said you just have to enter your stuff, with a very rude and condescending tone. When I asked again, they said we don’t know what you need help with. I had an 11:40am appointment. I got here early about 10:50am. I checked in asked if I could be seen sooner otherwise I would do some shopping. The gentlemen told me it would be about a 10 minute wait. So I stayed. It’s now after my original appointment time and I still have not been helped or even spoke to or updated about the wait.After asking for a manager I finally got help and they “could not” find a problem even after I showed them call log evidence and picture evidence. Instead they blamed the carrier and refused to honor my warranty. I would give them negative stars if I could!

Its an apple store, aside from a few they are mostly the same, this one does not stand out but staff is usually friendly and helpful, the store is kept very clean especially after covid made everyone very germ/virus conscious. All around good but could be more interesting, but its apple, if you want interesting you just build your computer yourself like an adult. :P

They told me one thing over the phone about a return so I drove down to the store, and then they refused to return money to my Apple Card and tried to force me to take Apple gift cards. Basically wasting 2 hours of my time. In addition to that the staff was extremely rude. Cancelled my Apple Card and will be switching to my 4 phone lines to Samsung. I spent an average of about 4,000-5,000 a year on Apple products guess they do t need my money with all the cheap child labor they use in China.

I came in a year ago (Feb 2022) because my MacBook wouldnt power on and it cost me $600 to fix. Last month (Jan 2023), my Mac wouldnt power on again so I came back to this store. They fiddled around with my Mac, told me they couldnt get it back on and that they didnt know why it would just die after my Mac had been completely rebuilt a year prior. There solution was to charge me another $600 to fix it or get me to buy a new laptop...A family friend whos not a computer expert asked if they could take a look at my laptop and low and behold, they got it to work in no time. Im writing this review from the laptop Apple was ready to charge me $600 to fix and said was worthless and couldnt be traded in because it had died.

Showed up to the store at opening the Lady Samantha who greeted us was kind and friendly and did everything to help us. She handed us to another employee who was the absolute worst. We have been Apple customers for almost 30 years and this guy answered every question with another problem or just complained. He never showed interest in helping he just made our life harder. I Tried this branch already 4 times because its close to me, everytime their service is just ok..yesterday i went with my mom to transfer her backup to new phone and the guy at front which name was Chris Jones was super friendly and after i explained what needs to be done he took us to Asian guy with goatee bread i think with name of Ivan. before i finish my sentence of why im there he interrupted me and said no, no, you have to have an appointment..he didnt let me finish..i went back to Chris and explained what happend and he took care of us very patiently and set up both iphone to running back up and every 20 min came and checking on us..i saw the performance and additude difference right there, so decided to talk to floor manager about his great additude and caring to support customer instead of ignoring them. Manger was Elizabeth was patiently listen to what happened and she understood the situation. I would give the manger and Chris 5 stars for their supporting additude but this is for other person so 1 star is more than enough.

If you have an Apple product that is out of warranty, dont go to this store or any Apple store. Give the job to a local small business in your area. You will get a superior customer service and will not be fed with Apple sales scams.My son, who is a minor, spent six hours of his and my life trying to change his iPhone battery in the Mission Viejo Mall Apple store.The first day the sales person, after an hour of sales pitches, sent him back home to run his phone diagnostic by himself. During the appointment, the sales person was going back and forth between the back room and the table while trying to persuade him that there were more problems than the battery and sell him a new phone. It all took more than an hour.According to diagnostics he ran, (surprise!) the phone needed a new battery. We came back the next day. This time, the next sales person pointed out a tiny 1 mm scratch in the edge of the phone, so tiny that nobody bothered to mention it during the first visit. He said, because of this scratch, they would not be able to change the battery without changing the screen that would be an extra $200. The whole appointment took 40 min plus an hour wait because we were slightly late to our appointment. While refusing to provide the service unless it was on their own terms, they tried to sell my son a new phone again or a new screen. I understand that Apple exploits its sales people not paying them well, and they need all the commissions they can get, but there cannot be an excuse for taking an advantage of a minor.I went to the same appointment the next day, now by myself. They tried to feed me with the same nonsense about changing the screen because it most likely would crack during the process of changing the battery (extra $200). The manager acted as if he was a superior authority, totally disrespectful and not willing to hear my feedback, comments or concerns despite probably being half my age and obviously far less educated. He was repeating his broken screen mantra over an over, and didnt allow me to record the conversation that is very suspicious. If all the claims are legitimate, there shouldnt be a problem.I turned around right away and went directly to a small repair shop, 7 min driving from Mission Viejo Mall. The difference in customer service was striking. It took a half an hour and $50 to change the battery and the screen stayed intact, no sign or even mention of it cracking.To summarize, during these hard times, consider supporting small local businesses, not greedy corporations which scam people out of their money. It will do good to a local business and save you time, money and spare you from unnecessary stress.

I could see a lot more associates than customers in store, but refused to put me down for an appointment to clean the speaker in my phone. He set me up with the perfect iwatch replacement and a strap that was sure to not come off the next time Im in the water! Sold me a $3,000 16 inch Macbook Pro. The screen on it has now cracked twice in 11 months with no outside agitation. The entire screen goes black with even a micro-crack on it. Totally unusable. $700 repair every time it breaks. And Ive treated this laptop like gold. Apple quality has gone to hell. The genius bar guy at MV apple store accused me of cracking it with a webcam cover the second go around. Im going with Google from now on. Apple aint what it used to be.

Walked in the store. Asked 3 people nicely if they can help me, totally got ignored. Its 10:30AM. The store is not busy at all. Not until I got upset and told them to stop ignoring me did they finally acknowledge my presence. One guy walked away, another lady helped me but didnt even apologize for their incompetent customer service. Explained to her twice (maybe more) that Im just upset because I have been ignored several times when nicely asking for help. No apology. I went in to purchase an iPhone SE for my daughter - her first phone. I was greeted quickly and soon Matt showed up to assist us with the purchase. He was just great, enthusiastic, cheerful the whole time and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We did hit a few technical snags along the way with setting up the family plan and linking it to my existing phone but he was able to assist and guide us expertly. In addition, he provided some very helpful and useful advise.At one point, we also looked at cases for the new phone and another man (I did not get his name) was very friendly, showed us the types of cases that would fit our phone since they dont display the actual iPhone SE cases on the floor. Once we picked a style we wanted, he went and got it from the back while we finished up the final set up with our phone with Matt. I mention this because in most store (Best Buy, etc.) they just point you to the cases and tell you to go find what you want without any help.All in all, a fantastic experience. I am very pleased and my daughter is ecstatic with her new phone.Thanks Matt and the entire store team!!!

My wife went in to have two batteries replaced for two iPhone 6s for our kids. When we went in there we found out each phone was going to cost $20 more than what we thought it was going to cost. When we originally made the appointment to go and have this done we were not told at any time that the price was going up January 1st 2019 $20 each more than what it was in 2018. If we would have known this we would have made sure we went into the store even if we couldnt get an appointment and waited to save the $40. Furthermore, the employees were very unprofessional and acted as if there was nobody in charge when we insisted we should be charged the price that we originally expected. They only want to pass the buck and not take responsibility. Extremely poor customer service and no professionalism whatsoever. I will be going back to the store to find out the highest ranking manager I can find and make sure they give me my money back. Even if they have to give it out of their own pocket because they think its so cheap why do we even care? Those are the kind of remarks that we heard them say to each other as if we couldnt hear them.

I got a pair AirPods Pros about a year ago.Theycame out defected so I went in today and they said they where going to make me in appointment.I went in around 2:11pm when I went in the said the where going to make me appointment and it was going to approximately in hour or sooner I said ok. Then they I said I could check in at 3:15pm because my appointment was going 3:25pm and then I went to check in they told actually going 3:45pm. I was very mad and frustrated because they wouldn’t help me and I hated it because in my the need to have better communication and say it going to be longer because we have people that made appointment ahead of time but no they rather lose customers then anything.I was the only waiting for a long time and people decided to leave and not waste their time. It’s not the store employees fault it is Apple’s fault. The demand for service far outweighs the stores capabilities. There is not enough space or employees at this location. It’s just a bummer that I do an in store pickup for two Mac book pros, I mean 5 grand worth of computers and it takes over an hour to walk out of the store. Got an answer from on site genius tech employee re wifes iphone dropping calls etc and did so without appointment. They suggested going to cell provider first to see if warranty might cover what they suspected might be the problem. Appreciated lack of high pressure and at the time no required mask but now apple is pc and mandates mask.( dont know if being enforced but knowing culture at Apple I suspect it is). Was told if needed an appointment they were scheduling one week out. Glad my trip to Verizon did the trick- too long to wait.

Purchased an iPhone 13 Pro here on Monday. Phone was defective so I came back today to get a replacement. I was told I had to leave the phone at the store and come back tomorrow due to my financing with AT&T and by doing so I lost my number on both the old phone and the new phone. Now according to ATT I cant do an upgrade anymore. Not only a waste of my time but now Ill have to fight with ATT&T to get reinstated and in the meantime having no phone. We had a horrible experience yesterday with Levian at the Mission Viejo Mall store. He was very rude and completely unhelpful. Beware that when you make an appointment you are only allowed 1 purchase or transaction per appointment. We came in to purchase a new iPhone and an Iwatch. We were told by the kid that we could not do that. He rushed us, he wouldn’t walk us through phone set up and he was horrible at customer service! We will NEVER go back to this location and this kids attitude was awful. We should have just returned our purchased phone but you need to schedule a whole new appointment. This 3 stars go to Apple store in MV, they really need to change some stuff, one star goes to Marc who didn’t really want to help, he cut corners and instead of installments he sold us as cash! Two days after we realized we have to pay full amount at once, we called Apple Card, talking to 4 separate specialist who had no idea! And headed back to the store to correct the sale. There goes our time and gas and + frustration. Luckily after few unsuccessful attempts we found the perfect specialist for that matter: Sam Andino: way to go girl, you are smart, funny and nice. My husband and I have been a client here for several years and have always received pretty good service and instruction on how to use our Apple devices. In the last year we have been very happy when we were helped by Josh who has always been especially patient with our many questions, answered them in ways we could understand and assisted us to set up our network so that we could both share information and have some privacy as individuals. A tricky business that he handled wonderfully and with a level of expertise that spoke to his intelligence and experience. The staff at the Mission Viejo Apple store were TERRIBLE. I brought my 87 yr old mother in with her iPhone 5 and had pre-purchased an iPhone 11 for her over the phone. I was assured that the store staff would help us get her data onto her new phone and get it up and running. Instead they were much more engaged with each other, and clearly viewed us as an imposition on what felt to us like their own store employee party. They told us they don’t assist customers transferring data from ok’d to new phones anymore and that it would be super easy for us to do ourselves at home. Well, they neglected to mention that the iPhone 5 SIM card is much smaller and won’t fit in an iPhone 11 so I had to leave my mother with a partially uploaded new phone. After going to Best Buy and having a sales tech tell me I could try to use a 60W charger and see what happens I left and went to this Apple store with no appointment. Walked in to buy a replacement charger for my MacBook Air a 45W MagSafe 2 power adapter. I was greeted by a sales associate who pointed me in the direction of the chargers. When I got to that part of the store another associate asked what I was looking for, told him, and he handed it to me right away. Then a third associate was there when I turned around to take my payment. Not going to lie, was kind of overwhelmed by the amount of customer service I was receiving. They had me in and out of there in 10 min. Great customer service, keep it up.Dont let these bad reviews deter you from coming here. I purchased a brand new Mac book computer for $1600 and air pods in October, the pods quit working in November, I took them back and spent 2 Hours with the not Genius Bar. 1 month old pods and they would not help. Dealt with Jack the manager he was extremely unhelpful. He didnt offer any solutions. My dads been buying Apple products for years and never had an experience like this. Jack the manager said expectations we had for Apple were to high, despite never having issues with Apple until him. Worst manager at this location. We got sat down with Ethan at the Genius Bar with the technician who said that we had to wait for the software to update for thirty minutes and then he would replace them. Turns out Ethan went home and Daniel took over helping us. Daniel acknowledged Ethan wrote down that we would get new working air pods after the update. Daniel refused to follow through despite what his coworker said which was all we had to do was wait for the previous pods to update. We got stuck there another hour after because daniel wanted to replicate the problem. Manager Dominick was really rude and cocky. Dominick came out acting like he was going to help us. But he just left for lunch short after. So basically wasted 2 hours at Apple talking to a different person each time! No communication between them at all! I had these AirPods for 6 weeks, they stopped charging. After they updated the AirPods connection kept getting disconnected from them. Worst experience ever. My iPhone 6s could not hold a charge even when the phone was barely used. So I went to the Apple store to order a new battery. Wait time to order: Over one hour.After waiting a month, I received notice that said the battery had arrived, but that I had to come to the store within 4 days or the battery would not be held. I requested return of my old battery and was told (1) batteries are dangerous and shouldnt be handled by consumers; (2) why did I need two batteries?; (3) the agreement I had signed on an iPad screen a month ago said that Apple keeps all the parts they replace. I requested to see the agreement.Another person was sent out. This one launched into an obviously mandated and rehearsed speech about how the degradation of talk and standby time on my phone was because of software corruption. I told him I had downloaded all the OS revisions, and he said that wouldnt solve the problem. Well, I said, its your software, so isnt that your responsibility? This sent him into very speedy recitation of how the nature of software is to get corrupted.Finally, I looked at him and said, Thats b#!!%hit! and left.DONT GO HERE. Worst customer service experience. Great products. The way you have to find a customer service rep to “get in the cue” is annoying. I went in expecting to spend a lot of my money on a new iPad Pro, Beats headset, keyboard and various accessories. I got stuck in a cue fro 29 minutes. Then I was bearded to a sales rep on the floor in the middle of a transaction with another customer. He asked what I was interested. And I told him a new iPad. Without giving me the chance to ask any questions he rattled off what color I could choose and the storage. When I told him what I thought I wanted he told me and the other customer he would be back with both of our iPads. Before he could leave the manager brought over another customer for him to help at the same time. What I really wanted was a sales agent I could talk to about the product and options and not feel rushed. I got fed up and just walked out the door.

The absolute worst service and the rudest staff and managers. I have an iPhone X that has been giving me problems since August/September of 2018. The screen randomly dims and seconds later brightens up again. I went into this store is September of 2018 and after the genius checked my phone settings and was confident I did not have any auto dim features on, he proceeded to tell me he has never heard of such a problem. Then he asked me to prove it. I told him it was random and does not happen all the time. He then took my phone in the back for a good 10 minutes and came back basically telling me I was making it up. Then he told me to call apple support so they could remotely log in and see for themselves. I have been working with apple support since then, giving them exact times and dates of when it dims and after 5+ months, they cannot figure out what it is and said I could either go to an apple store and get a new phone, or I can give them my credit card number and they would send me a brand new phone in the mail, but needed my credit card number until they received my phone. I asked multiple times if the phone would be brand new, and he said yes. I have paid over $1000 for my phone and dont want a refurbished one.Anyhow, I made an appointment to go to the apple store at the ships at Mission Viejo today. As anyone who has been there knows, they are ALWAYS running late. So, they told me dit at a table and wait. As I was waiting, an apple support person was helping a couple. As I sat down, I could overhear them because they were right across from me. The apple guy spent at least 10 minutes discussing his Koi tattoo with them and how the red color was not aggressive or some such nonsense. He was literally talking about this bull while there were several people waiting.My luck, some 15 minutes later, the koi tattoo guy is my rep, and genius my foot. He proceeded to tell me they dont just hand new phones out and that they will replace my screen. Mind you, I was told on Thursday by apple support that I would get a new phone. Before I blew a gasket, I told him to get his manager who turned out to be even more clueless than him. I walked out of the store before causing a scene. One more word and I wouldve lost it.The folks at this store are horrible, unprofessional and rude. Having seen this woman manager, it makes perfect sense why her staff are as bad as the are.I have been an iPhone user since the iPhone was first released and have never had an issue with my phones. Been to this Apple Store a countless amount of times to get my iPhone home button fixed since its the closest to home. My home button doesnt click in normally and it semi clicks in if I put slight pressure on it. First time I went they acknowledged my problem right away and replaced my home button under warranty. A few months later it happened again, so I went and the guy I talked to tried out my phone and said he didnt feel anything. After talking to him for a few more minutes he went in and started talking to his manager to see what to do. After he came out he told me that they didnt see an issue with the button and said there was nothing he could do. Uhh what?! Can you not see and feel that my home button is not clicking in properly? I even compared it with a display phone and there was a clear difference but they still failed to see the issue. I didnt believe for a second that he couldnt feel that there was something wrong. These people work with these products everyday and how can you not feel when something like the home button doesnt click in like its supposed to? They have records of all the times Ive fixed my phone and this time they just tell me they cant do anything? Absolutely ridiculous. A few weeks later I went to a different Apple Store to get it fixed and they replaced the button right away, acknowledging that my home button didnt feel anywhere close to being normal. The people at this Apple Store took the cheap route and tried to send off a loyal customer with a faulty iPhone. It was something that they could see was wrong right in front of them, even all my friends could see the problem with my home button. Never going to this location again.

They never answer the phone. Its actually the company fault, they made this automated assistant, which routes all the calls to a central location, and they have long waiting periods to answer, and also dont have good knowledge. Shame on Apple! Their products are so expensive, but it sounds like they really dont care about their customers. Its easier to get a live person at IRS than this company.

I went to the Apple Mission Viejo store today about 2:50PM after checking online and noting that their website now says shop by walking in, reservations, .... etc. The guy who checked me in just in front of the door asked why I was there-I told him that I want to buy the new 24 iMac today. He informed me that all purchases are being handled online-I said, thats fine, but I havent even seen the product yet. Oh, you can walk in and browse. (I was in the walk in line.) The store was fairly quiet and there was only one person ahead of me, so I entered soon after that. I looked at the iMac, then went up to one of the employees and said that I had a quick question-We cant answer questions without an appt. I looked around me and counted 13 employees standing around chatting, plus multiple others behind the Genius Bar, all without customers. I pointed out that the store wasnt busy and that my question was quick-I was instead referred back to the guy who checked me in, who repeated his no appt., no questions answered sermon. I said, Look around-you have all of these employees who have no customers. Well, they have future appts. I browsed more on my own and left about 20 later-I still counted 9 employees standing around with no customers, plus the many employees behind the Genius Bar who were not occupied. Today this store lost my business.As I left, I spoke to the young man who checked me in and noted that it was ridiculous that they would not answer my simple question and shame on them for their poor customer service, pointing out to him that there were still multiple employees customer free, doing absolutely nothing. This place is a joke. Going back and forth with them for about a month now trying to get our iMac fixed. Our problem was the computer would randomly turn on and off by its self. At first they sent us home saying it was an update. Got it home, still was doing it. Took it back again and they had it for a couple days and did what ever their so called genius‘s claimed to do to fix it. Took it home again and same problem. Oh and to add, we had to keep calling to find out the status of the computer, they never called to tell us it’s ready or anything. So we take it back again and now they have had it for 2 weeks. It’s been ready for 4 days and haven’t gotten a call. They said they called and left a voicemail but that was bs. Even the manager was very passive when telling him I’m upset that they haven’t been able to fix the problem and no one calls when it’s done. Don’t go to apple store if your warranty expired. They won’t repair phone or iPad for you but trying to sell you the new one and take your damaged one back. Not only they charge more but also lost the information in the iCloud if battery is unchanged or dad. I had to take my son’s iPad Pro to local small repair store to get it repaired eventually since Apple store won’t repair it. 2 employees both said it’s impossible to repair it if charging port got damaged. My daughter has an I phone and when we purchased it we bought Apples careplus package. What a complete joke! Goes like this: Phone breaks and we call Apple. Apple says that the warranty doesnt show up. We explain that we have a receipt that indicates we have a warranty. Oh, in that case just come down to the store and we will take care of everything. Now we drive to the store and get greeting by a gentleman who takes my name and tells me it going to be about 10-15 minutes before someone can help us. His job is to just log us in. About 8 minutes go by and the same guy comes back and asks how he can help us. I then proceed to tell him what the Apple people told us and he has be hold on. We go back and forth for about 15 minutes and then he finally tells me that I need to make an appointment with an Apple Genius. I ask for a Manager(Sammy) who makes me wait for another 10-15 minutes and then he goes into the same story and reminds me that he knows how to manage his store and for me to understand the robotic process (robotic is my words). After being very frustrated I finally see that I am going to get nowhere and decide to leave. Just before we leave another robot informs the manager that a Genius can help us. Thank God! We walk over to the Genius Bar and now everything is going to be okay, right? NOT I now have to re explain the entire process and he informs me that Apple Care is now closed and he cannot get an approval until tomorrow. He promises me though that he will call me FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. It is now 2:38PM...Im still waiting. To add insult to injury last night the manager tells me that once we get to the Genius bar that it only takes about 10 minutes to exchange phones. And the genius explains that had I bought the phone at the store we wouldnt run into these issues. If thats the case, Apple shouldnt allow outside vendors (Target) sell them then. Now I am on a roll...When I was asking him what was and wasnt covered I joked and said, So if I take a hammer and smash this phone, its covered, to which his response was not now because I am going to note that you said this in my comments Oh, just for the record, while it may sound like I am being a pompous South County yuppie...I never raised my voice and remained professional. Apple needs to make some major changes. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. Trust me....STICK WITH MICROSOFT:)

Since they seem to get slagged on here, Ill happily share my experiences which have been nothing but great.We have an iMac (2009), two iPhones and an iPad that have all been serviced. I make the Genius Bar appointments in advance and I can honestly say EVERY visit has been a positive experience. The guys and gals at the Bar have all been excellent, patient, and attentive... and extremely well skilled. They arent rude but the exact opposite. They run their tests (and listen to tests Ive run), get to the problem and correct it. Ive had them run lots of diagnostics on the iMac, correct settings for my external hard drives and corrected my chunky iTunes library. Theyve replaced many aspects of my iPhone 5s until they wound up giving me a replacement, AFTER it was out of warranty and was two years old. Our iPad 2 was completely replaced LONG after the Apple Care expired. Keen!!Im probably mid-level with my knowledge of fixing things but they never talk down to me or make me feel like an idiot. When I happen to be sitting next to someone who seems to know absolutely nothing about basic maintenance, they treat them with the same level of respect.When Im given a time that the product will be ready, it always good to go when I return to the store.While I agree there seems to be FAR too many employees at any given time, everyone has always been cool.

I had a 4 month old IPad Pro that developed the Black Screen of Death doing an update. I took it in and the tech looked at it and took it back to be checked. He said they would replace it but they were out of this model. I waited for the call and it never came. So I called and they had stock in. I go in and talk to the tech and he comes out with a refurb IPad. He hands it to me and says that will be $400plus. I say why is this not under warranty on this visit? He points to a nick on the metal frame right at the edge. Now there is no glass damage at all. I said you have to be kidding. He stated any damage at al negates the warranty. This is a problem that is widely talked about on the internet. My IPad stopped working on an update which is what people were saying on the internet. I ask to speak to a supervisor. Well this girl comes over and you can tell she’s already made her mind up. The first thing out of her mouth was that she could see that the IPad was bent from 20 feet away. I said well your tech looked at it for 5 minuets from every angle and he mentioned nothing. The tech in the back examined it for 10 minutes and didn’t say anything. I laid it flat on the table and asked her to show me where it’s warped. I laid another IPad from their store next to it and it was no flatter then mine. But she could see all this from 20 feet away as she walked over. She said there’s nothing that she could do. That this extreme damage that only she could see negated the warranty. Thank you Apple. I have been a customer since the beginning but no more. I bought a newS4 Tab and now I can actually send email all the time without the can’t reach server error message. I can surf the internet and not always be dropping the signal or constantly redrawing the page. Wow I didn’t actually realize that it was possible to surf from one site to another in under a minute much less in a second. Thanks Apple you showed me what I’ve been missing using your product.

Will try to summarize, I have beats studio wireless that went bad (just 2 months old) that I contacted @BeatsSupport and they were happy to arrange a service request and I shipped them and they ended up sending me a replacement product, which is when the bad story starts. When I opened replacement product, it had few tears on ear pads, and they looked heavily used, so I contacted @Beatssupport and they told me to go to Apple store so that they can evaluate it, which I did. When I went to the store (had an appointment that customer service set up), a young girl attended me (a genius person) and within 5 seconds when I tried to explain what issue was, she told me to wait and went in back. 10 mins later she came back, and then she was like they cant find serial # (and I was like she did not even look at my headphones) so she took them back, 15 mins later she came back again and said she cant find serial #, and I said they should have them in file since I received the replacement product the very same day. Went back again, and then came looked at my receipt for older serial # and wasted another 10 mins. Then she came back and said I have to pay $199 for physical damage, and I was like WHAT? I did NOT use this replacement product and I just received them an hour ago, and my item was only two month old in pristine condition, she said she understand and is sorry, but Apple cannot really do anything about beats and their products, and I was like, what? beats is part of apple now. Next thing she told me that I should sell these headphones online and then buy a new pair, and I was so pissed off! Bought a stainless steel 42 mm I watch or year and a half ago. Four months into using it I dropped it accidentally between 3 to 4 feet. The face popped out. Went to the store and it was covered under warranty. Dropped it again recently. This time from about 2 feet. Same issue happened. Went to the store to see how much it would cost to repair. So my iphoneX messed up, first apple phone I ever had that had a problem. The trick to get them to do something is bring it in a few times and complain to apple support on line, then they will get tried of you and fix it or just give you a new one, (I think more like a refurbed one) Fine, I get it, and new phone same backup, now works. But that is not the annoying thing. I have sprint, so, they NEED TO KNOW you can not swap out the sim card. IT IS MARRED TO THE PHONE FOREVER. You have to go to Sprint store to get a new one. Now you would think they know this. At least 4 people tried to get my phone up, they use this program that says swap phones. AND they keep saying, Sprint is always not working right. They go though this process of trying, goes though your accounts, verifies this and that. All just a waste of time. I am thinking now, I must be the only one of 10 people on earth that has an iPhoneX and Sprint. Even at the Sprint store, they say yep we know, they dont know. Really? come on apple Geniuss call Sprint and get the info. Cant use a phone without a carrier, not like there are 50 of them.

Technical support is through the roof. Whether its a device defect or (if you have AppleCare+ coverage) a cracked screen, it wont just be fixed but replaced with a new device, and thats what makes it awesome.To be fair, open source software, like Android, tends to have trade-offs associated with it when it comes to technical support. You mess up the software, youre on your own. Thats good for people like me that actually like to tinker, but for the average Joe, the lack of technical support in Linux in one form or another is probably why Linux hasnt taken off like it should. Then again, GPL software does get over-the-air upgrades in a much more timely fashion than proprietary BSD and/or Apache forks, so...
