Apogee did an excellent job on my laptop! I needed a keyboard replacement, and we discovered that the battery was bulging (about ready to burst). They helped me order the correct replacement parts, and were flexible in installing them so I wasnt without my laptop for days when I needed it for work. They went above and beyond to get my laptop done quickly, and the price was very reasonable. I recommend them to anyone for their computer needs.

Really delayed on this review but this place is hands down the best computer repair places in the LBC. I needed to have a power supply and a 4090 graphics card installed. I had other places tell me it was going to be $400 dollars and a 3 day turn around time but Jer was able to get me in and out all in a matter of a couple of hours for a much better price. He was insanely knowledgeable and was really looking out for my computer on what could really help me with what I was doing with it.Great customer service, great prices, and really knowledgeable. 5/5

My PC was running slow, and within seconds he could figure out what was wrong. Together we devleoped a two-step plan to speed it fully up--a combination of maintenance, parts, and upgrades--and now my rig is working perfectly. Check him out if you need an expert, an upgrade, or a fix for a laptop or tower PC. One quick clue of his skills: this guy cleans dust with a paintbrush, BEFORE using the spray can, and uses it outdoors.

Recently I had the pleasure of building a new PC with the help of Apogee. From the beginning, their communication was excellent. They were patient with my many questions and always took the time to explain things clearly. I was also impressed with their fair prices and wide selection of components. Jeramiah and Bea went above and beyond to resolve the issue I was having with my Surface Book 3. It was not recognizing the built-in NVIDIA GeForce1650 graphics card. They were able to fix the issue remotely within an hour and a half. On top of excellent, communicative service, Jeramiah was also kind enough to extended a student discount as well as a first-time customer discount. I will be referring their services to all of my professors and peers in the Design field at CSULB.

Brought my tower in to diagnose what I thought was a power supply issue. Jer had that handled in about 5 mins but couldn’t get any video. While I waited he determined Iwas going to need a new motherboard and helped me locate several options . Didn’t try to hard sell me anything and didn’t charge me for the very helpful service. Im the unofficial computer repair person of my family but I took my desktop to Jer and team when it broke beyond my repair expertise.The team diagnosed my issues quickly and informed me that my motherboard was fried as a result of a faulty power supply unit, which made a lot of sense to me given that the PSU had given me issues in the past and simply swapping out the PSU with a new one did not fix it. Given my past experiences with laptops, I had thought a fried motherboard meant that the whole PC was junk but I was really surprised when Jer told me they can repair everything for a sixth of what I originally paid for the machine. I had no idea that so much can be salvaged from a desktop with the fried motherboard.Since the motherboard replacement presented the opportunity to upgrade the CPU, I asked them to put in a new one and I would pay for the additional cost. My computer needs are far from mainstream as I develop software for a living, which runs CPU-based simulations. Jer and team worked with me to order the state-of-the-art CPU I wanted and installed it on the new motherboard. Now that I have the PC up and running, I am absolutely amazed at the speed of my simulations and had no idea that this level of performance was possible.Needless to say, Im coming to these guys for all future computer problems that I cant fix myself. They are true masters of hardware.

Went to Apogee Computer Technologies with the hopes of them fixing my computer battery. I supplied them with the battery part (just needed someone to actually install it since that takes some wizardry to accomplish). They fixed it within a day and at a fair price. For those who are college students they also have a student discount! (So as a college student this saved me money!) Im a previous customer from a few years back and have always been happy with Apogees service. Recently, needed to take my moms all in one computer for service to check why it was running so slow and to check for viruses and other security issues. Jer walked me through the different options for what he could do to improve the performance and make sure the computer was safe. VERY satisfied with their service! Jer kept us informed as to what was going on and when the computer would be ready for pick up. Extremely reasonable prices. I cannot express how much I love this place. First time I went to Apogee, I was caught off guard by the construction that was going on outside (it was for a neighboring buisness) and the look of the store when I got inside (they have lots of projects going on). However, theyve been nothing less than kind, courteous, and efficient. Ive been to them multiple times and they are honest about what needs to be done, and if you have a problem they cannot fix, they have great locations to refer you to. Just recently I was having connection issues and Mike, one of the employees, remotely accessed my computer and fixed the problem without me having to go to their store. Whats even better is I wouldnt be charged if he couldnt fix the issue, even though he was working on the issue for over an hour! I recommend everyone to Apogee. Theyre true lifesavers!

I was suspicious after seeing all the 5.0 star reviews; however, since they were so close to home I decided to give them a try. I had a Windows 10 desk top (less than a year old) giving me a hardware error message I couldnt fix. The care and attention I received from these folks was top notch. After the problem was diagnosed, we ordered a new mother board. Once the part arrived I brought everything back to Apogee. I was up and running in a couple of hours. My gaming rig liquid cooling system malfunctioned and I thought I was in for a huge rebuild. But after taking it to apogee, Jeremiah was able to diagnose the parts that needed repair and the ones that didnt. Now my rigs better than its ever been. Good service, good communication, and good quality work. *EDIT* After years of this review being up I finally found it and can truly review. Jeremiah is an alright enough guy, but he will 100% pressure you into making a review on the spot when you go to pick up your computer. I tried to get out of it but he was very pushy. The long term quality of parts is not the best. After less than 2 years of use and spending nearly $800 for him to fix my gaming PC I had to completely rebuild again. Im still giving him 3 stars because he does decent enough work and its very hard to find a computer repair man who will truly give you exactly what you want without charging you an arm and a leg.

I received outstanding service that was above and beyond the standard. I went in for a power supply switch which was suppose to be a quick and easy job but my wiring was very tangled and the man here working on my computer took an extra 2 hours that he didnt need to take just to make sure everything was clean and put back into place working properly. They did this work promising no extra charge and I decided to pay them more any way for their outstanding service. I wouldnt recommend any other computer repair place as they have the skills, knowledge, and amazing service. Couldnt thank them enough.

Worst business experience I have had in recent memory. Took my daughters laptop in to get a new battery and replace a cracked screen. Simple right, well......They had me order the parts (they chose/ordered but I paid) and parts were delivered to them. They ordered the wrong parts, never notified me the parts had come in, never checked the parts to the original to confirm delivery of the correct parts, now after they have sat on the parts for weeks, I have to return them and reorder the correct parts. I am still stunned by their complete incompetence and utter disregard for the mess created.P.S. My laptop was not booting up and my normal computer guy could not figured it out. Apogee is right down the street from my office and when I called they said they do free diagnostics so I thought I will give them a try. At first the techs seem to think that copying the data and reinstalling everything was necessary but there is a tech there named Jeremiah who took 15 minutes figuring it out but was able to find the problem. On top of fixing it he optimized Windows and its running fast like the day I bought it. Saved me a lot of money and downtime and I will be using Apogee full time now. Highly recommend them.

If youre a gamer you should check this place out. I have a gaming rig and I bought a bunch of latest upgrades and brought it here to have them rebuild it. But they advice me that I already had adequate hardware in some areas and I was able to return the stuff I didnt need and save some money. When I got it back, it look like it was brand new and it was optimize, running better and faster than ever. These guys specialize in performance and do a great job.

I had a problem with my Dell Laptop and took it to the department store I bought it from and they wanted $125.00 to fix it and would not tell me what was wrong with it. I was at a bike store and saw Apogee Computer Technologies next door and thought I would see what they had to say about it. The tech told me it would $75.00 service fee to fix so I approved that and told them to fix it. He said he would call me when it was done but before I could get out the door he said it was fixed and told me that it was free because all he had to do was make an adjustment to the operating system. I am still laughing cause he told me to come back when I have a real problem! Not only will I come back but I will send anyone needing computer repair to them. Nice guys, but my computer has never worked well since coming to these guys. They replaced a hard drive and then reverted my computer back to an old operating system. Terrible. They didnt replace the drivers correctly, so I had to go back. (they, of course, tried to place blame on something Id done to cause the problem before they figured it out and got the machine going again.) Two months later, the hard drive they replaced is now failing periodically. No boot device found. Seriously???!!! Not sure yet if Ill go back or seek help elsewhere...

I had an old Mac power book G4 from 2005 and I wanted to transfer all of my pictures, music, and documents transferedto my Mac book pro (2011 that I use currently) and saved to a hard drive as well.. Came in to get data extracted from my laptop, I brought it in the middle of last month, they said it would be two weeks but when I called after the two weeks they then told me another two weeks. So I waited the other two weeks and still no word. I called back after an additional week (I wanted to give them a chance to call me) I guess they were having issues trying to extract the data from the laptop. Which I totally understood. My issue with that, is that not one person called me to inform me of anything that was going on. Mind you I’m a student and I need to get this data extracted in order to fix my laptop so I could use it for school.Now I called once again about two weeks after the last call, and they told me it was ready. So why wasn’t I informed once it was?? Okay cool. I went to pick it up about a week ago. When I went in the owner struggled for about 20 mins looking for my laptop. And when he gave it back to me, he literally wrote on my laptop with PERMANENT MARKER?! Like I never gave them permission to do that, they could’ve easily wrote my name on tape and stuck that to the laptop.Now he said they finished the job but asked if I had a usb/hard drive to stick the info on it. Okay? No one said that I had to bring my own, so after about an hour of the owner talking my ear off about god knows what. He also, had my waiting while he was on the phone with his telephone provider, trying to fix an issue?!? My time is very important to me, and he literally was wasting me time.He then said I could buy a hard drive from him which was 2 TBs and from what he told me I only needed 1 TB at most. He tried to sell me a hard drive for $129 but that only costs $79 at Walmart/Best Buy. Luckily I knew better and decided to go pick one up myself and I only paid $50 for a 1 TB of the same brand he wanted to sell me.Now I go back and I waste another 30 mins of him showing me some things on the computer, and then he started to download. Now it’s saying it’s gonna be another 3 hours before it’s ready. This was on a Saturday and 2 hours before they closed. And they’re closed on Sundays as well, so I had to wait till Monday before getting the drive. Finally!!! After more than a month long process, I got what I came for!!!Honestly, the only reason why they got stars is because they did know what they were doing, I’ll give them that. But they’re aren’t mindful of other people’s time, or have any customer service experience. I didn’t appreciate that I had to keep checking in on my laptop because no one was giving me updates. They seem like nice guys but I honestly won’t be coming back here again.Oh ALSO, the owner basically demanded on two separate occasions that I had to write this review at the location. While I was still there? Like no, I’ll do it when I have time. Not on your time, you already wasted enough of mine.

After being on hold forever with tech support and then over an hour of trouble shooting they still could not figure out why my computer was locking up. I called Apogee and they were able to figure out the problem over the phone as being a heat issue because of the noise it was making. I took my computer to them and they put my computer on a work bench and fixed it in less than 5 minutes. Had a bad fan on the video card causing it to lock up. If you need computer repair these guys have been in business for over 20 years and it shows.

Had an issue with my HP Notebook computer, had a factory issue with a premature hard drive failure and HPs own software wont work to do a basic restoration because of something done from the factory. So after having this issue and finding out its a known issue with this particular model, I gave up and took it to Dave. He charged me a far more than reasonable price, was very cordial, and took way more time and effort than he needed to get my notebook repaired after having seen that many people have written these off, usually the only way to repair these specific ones even for a basic OS Restore is by being forced to return them to HP and pay a ridiculous OS Reload $300 fee when the issue preventing the installation was done on HPs end during manufacturing.Ill be coming back to this place for any issues I cant fix myself on my desktop/notebook computers as long as its there.

Expert techs st a great price. My friend built a computer and it a basket case... Had great parts but wss not built well and did not perform up to it to its cspbility. Apogee rebuilt it, did all the wire management and reinstalled the OS. My pc is now a Formula 1 Race Car as advertised.

Computer was suffering with bad power suppl, an abuse center of dust and tired operating system. They cleaned it (looks like new). Wiped the op system and started fresh an installed a new power suppl. Works like New and the price was much lower than expected. Whole heartedly recommend this place
