I have been working out with Andy for the past 6 months and it has impacted my life in such a positive way. Andy is an amazing trainer that takes the time to truly understand where youre at and where you would like to be. After working out inconsistently in the past, I was looking for workouts that were personalized to my capabilities yet challenged me in the best way possible. From day one, Andy understood my goals and has since worked with me every single week, pushing me to be the best version of myself. Andy has built my confidence in the gym and supported me throughout every single workout. I feel stronger, healthier, and more motivated than I ever have before. He is the best and I cannot recommend him enough!

I started working out with Andy as soon as I found out I was pregnant in November. He tailors my workouts based on where I am at in my pregnancy, so I never feel like I am over-exerting myself, but I will still feel properly challenged. I also appreciate the emphasis he puts on my health and safety.Andy has kept me on track and accountable during my first and second trimesters, and my doctor is very happy with my healthy weight gain as a result!

Andy is an outstanding trainer. He is extremely knowledgeable about all areas of fitness, and prepares targeted workouts suitable to each of his client’s relative goals. I have a history of back problems, and Andy has been able to modify workouts to avoid further problems while strengthening the key muscle groups to help alleviate these problems. I would recommend him to anyone interested in working hard to improve their fitness.

Ive been working with Andy for the last four months after searching online for a trainer focused on education and injury prevention. In the past, my experience with fitness was following YouTube videos, HIIT programs on an app, or bootcamp. However, I consider myself to be a total beginner in the gym and wanted to have a better understanding of weightlifting and functional fitness, while ensuring proper form.During our first meeting, we talked through my goals, his approach, and his plan for our sessions. Since then, hes created a plan for me that has helped build up my strength and confidence in the gym. I look forward to working with him every week. Each 30 minute session goes by so quickly - his energy is infectious and fools me into believing in myself more. When I hurt my hip from running, he adapted our workouts and gave me some exercises to help strengthen my hip flexors and release my IT band - I was even able to run my first half marathon! On days when Im not training with Andy, he provides assignments based on my available equipment - either at the apartment gym which is very well stocked, or a minimal hotel gym. If I have any questions about a workout or diet, hes incredibly responsive throughout the week.Im so grateful to have met Andy and to be able to work with him. Hes incredibly motivating, genuine, earnest, and methodical in his approach, while keeping it fun. I highly recommend calling Andy if youre looking for a knowledgeable trainer who will work hard alongside you.

Andy has been hands down one of the best trainers I’ve had a pleasure of working with. He puts tremendous work in creating a functional fitness routine that fits my busy work and life schedule. He knows how to squeeze a little more effort from you when you think you can’t push on.Andy also has good understanding of biomechanics and has helped me with the little nagging aches and pains I have. He is flexible in working around my schedule working in law enforcement. You can definitely feel that he takes much pride in the work that he puts in all of his clients.Definitely recommends him to anyone looking to take personal and/or group classes.

Andy is the best trainer in the OC area, he pushes you to exceed your limits and allows you to understand and digest key elements of functional training.His approach to training has helped me understand my body and incorporate the necessary exercises to my performance and day to day activities. I have been working with Andrew for about 5 months now and Im really happy with my experience! I had been looking for a personal trainer after hitting a plateau in my fitness journey and thats when I came across Andrew Shin on Yelp. I told Andrew that I wanted to lose body fat and get more toned while learning how to lift with proper form. I find Andrew to be very professional from the first phone call to the first work out and even now, he continues to motivate and encourage me to the best I can. Hes very attentive to my needs and has even helped me improve my back and core after a past back injury. I cant believe I can lift heavy and even do deadlifts or ring pulls ups! He always safely demonstrates a workout movement first and the corrects my form. I feel more confident going to a gym on my own and lifting weights. I really recommend getting trained by Andrew--he will really help you achieve your goals!

Ive been working with Andy for a few months now. After taking a year off from working out due to health reasons, I was looking for a personal trainer who could help me get back into a routine and tailor my workout around some of my physical limitations. I ended up choosing Andy because of how positive, personable, and knowledgeable he is.I currently work out with him twice a week and then fill in the other days with the workouts from his app. I really enjoy how efficient our workouts are. Its never boring, always different, and I can feel how much stronger Im becoming. Highly recommend working with him!

Visiting my family in Orange County and worked out with Andy and would highly recommend doing one of his workouts! We focused on high intensity circuits and he did a great job at pushing our group to do our best. Will definitely be coming back here every time I am down in Orange County.

Have been training for several weeks now with Andy to kick start my fitness back up. As someone whos not unfamiliar with fitness and exercise, I thought I knew what to expect; boy was I wrong.Andy is clearly passionate about his work. From the get go, his eagerness and positivity in wanting to help you achieve your fitness goals is extremely contagious. He does a great job of understanding your limits and abilities, and curates the workouts in such a way that youll surely be pushing yourself to the finish, while being able to complete them to improve your confidence!He has an holistic approach towards fitness, making sure his clients understand what it takes on top of exercising and outside of the gym to meet their goals. I would recommend Andy Shin as a trainer to anyone looking to improve their health, fitness, and overall quality of life.From beginner to seasoned gym rats, Andy can definitely set you up for success!
