Love this grocery store in Monterey..they have the best bakery stuff and pretty floral items. The meat and produce is always fresh too. There is also a Starbucks here and they have clean restrooms!

Had some food from their deli and buffet. Side of chicken breast and a few sides. Delicious. They had tables shaded by umbrellas outside.Being so close to the Montery Bay Aquarium they should work towards having no plastics. We were served chicken in a plastic tray, and the box for the sides appears to be lined with plastic. Their silverware was compostable.

This supermarket was amazing! I wish I had remembered to take pictures inside. They have a wonderful deli, bakery, and even a Starbucks inside. We chose a quiche to take to our hotel to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. It was one of the best quiches we have had anywhere including Paris! The employees were pleasant and happy to help at Andronicos. Well be back!

Produce selection was ok, quality is fairly good. Incredibly clean place overall. Service was good. We bought organic blueberries and they were very big but were a bit soft, kinda like a few weeks old.Also got their sandwich/salad premade which were fresh and good. Even gave us an extra dressing pack, vn of them.Fried chicken was $2/piece which no one said it was per piece so get that big thigh not the drum.Last was the sbux inside… just skip please. I got a tall, and they charge >$1 more than the actual sbux. I checked and for .15 more I could go to the actual sbux a few blocks away and get a grande… .15 more.

Extremely friendly team members, great self serve soup, hot/cold and wing bar. Nice outdoor seating area for a quick stop. I’ve been here 3 times in the last 3 days and team are always impeccably kind and personable.

OMG, I had the best sandwich today from Andronicos deli. All week I was in the mood for a really good veggie sandwich and today I finally found it. I ordered a create your own sandwich on a white roll with Vermont cheddar, spinach, tomato, onion, lettuce, pickles and mustard. Basically it was a salad on a roll and it was exactly what I have been craving all week. The veggies were fresh and tasty, and the thick slices of pickle really set it off. There was just enough mustard without being overpowering or dry. I honestly cant say enough. Every bite got an mmm. Cant wait until next time.

Very convenient...Very helpful staff..a while back Nob Hill was in this location ...Andronicos made a very good transition..Us locals are very familiar and thankful for the convenience and cleanliness of the store...plus parking is still easy.The pic shows the Sushi bar that is located next to the Deli...On 9/5/21,in reviewing this post, I noticed that somehow I mistakenly gave one star...I have corrected that, my experience should reflect five stars.

Nice store with some unique items. Layout was pretty irregular. The water was very hidden. At all other Safeway stores when you do not have a Safeway member number, they enter one for you and you get the discount. My cashier just said oh well and gave me my total, it was very off-putting.

It used to be my favorite grocery store because it has a diversified selection of products, especially the silken tofu that cannot be found anywhere else locally. However, my most recent shopping experience has not been a positive one. While shopping, I got a parking ticket 10 minutes before I left the checkout, and I showed the parking person my receipt, but they brushed me off and ignored that I was shopping at the store. I had to go home and file a complaint, making the shopping trip into an hour long procedure trying to dispute an unreasonable parking ticket. I am just disappointed.

I already thought Safeway was expensive but Andronicos is even more expensive...I feel so fortunate that we have 2 Traders Joes location in our community... I admit Andronicos has some products that are unique...like the chocolate Easter Egg 🥚 that its typical from Easter time in Italy where Im originally from!!

This place is basically a Safeway with andronicos branding. This means everything inside is just like a Safeway, cost the same as the Safeway but the quality is much better. And there are more selective, higher priced versions of everything.Ive eaten the deli food many times and its always fresh, especially the chicken. The people who work at the deli are unusually nice as well. Its always a pleasure coming here.

**WARNING** Dont shop for more than 75 minutes you will be ticketed. I spent nearly 200$ on groceries, and come out to find a 58$ parking ticket citing that I do not have permission to park here by owner. Naturally I think this is a simple mistake, they must not of realized I was shopping in their store. I speak with a manager and he informs me that I indeed was given a ticket and they would not be able to fix it since I spent too much time in the store.Cheerily he tells me dont worry youve got your receipt, just go in and contest the ticket. Problem solved. I dont know what coupons I used but I dont remember the one giving me a free day in traffic court or one to redeem my four hours on a government hotline.Anyway, just a little PSA

Meat department is filled with rotting, smelly meat. I asked the butcher why the baby back ribs I had bought were bad, even though they had not yet reached their sell-by date, and he says that with the Niman Ranch meat, sometimes we just get smelly ones. Essentially, he could not guarantee to me that any replacement meat I sought to buy would not also be expired. When getting my refund at the cash register, after having driven back to the store, the cashier tries to convince me that its simply the antibiotic-free nature of the meat that causes it to smell, essentially implying that this rotting heap of expired meat was not actually bad ... In any case: poorly run store, expired products, not worth yours or anyones time.

This grocery store is legit. The variety of stuff is awesome and the food made there is really fresh. The staff are super friendly. I go here about once a week a ND I have never had a bad experience. Added bonus is that they have the best alcohol selection of anywhere around here that I have found so far. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice, upscale grocery store. Really helpful staff with great selection of regular & organic fruits and vegetables. Stopped in at 5:30pm on New Years Eve and it was packed with people but all check out lanes were open so took only a few minutes to get in and out of the store, was pleasantly surprised.

Be careful about the deals on the Androcino website, they don’t always honor them in store, and we got ripped off because they said the deals on the items only applied on certain products that were at Safeway, even though I pulled the coupons from the Androcino website. Wish they made this clearer and known to the employees, so they could tell us before we paid for everything.

The store design/flow doesnt make any sense.🙃 The produce section is the smallest section in the store, high priced, small in quantity & quality....I mean a small container of grapes 🍇 cost me $8.99?!! There is over an isle & 1/2 dedicated to alcohol (isnt covid all day drinking over?). I wasnt impressed w/the store for all that is suppose to offer....it just seemed like it was a very high priced convince store 🤔

I used to like going to Andronicos a lot, but just recently I went to get a small birthday cake and there was no one at the bakery section, I pressed the assist button but after 10 minutes no one showed up. I decided to go ask the people at the front and all the cashier told me, with an annoyed voice tone, was just go to the bakery, there should be someone there. This wasnt useful at all. Keep in mind I did let her know that there wasnt anyone there before telling her that I would like to purchase a cake. Next time Ill just try to avoid being helped by that specific person. Thank you

In my first time there I wasnt aware of what the prepared food options were. I needed something to eat and run. A very nice lady helped me with the burrito choice, which was really good (and substantial) for the money. The market itself is pretty with lots of great stuff available. I bet the people in Monterey love having Andronicos there for them. Its not a bargain place, but not every place can be. Really good wine and whiskey options. A very attractive layout. Overall a nice place to visit. Ill definitely be back. Oh, and the girl who helped me with the coffee choice was really cool, too.

What a super super market. Right around the corner from the aquarium and a huge parking lotl The store is very spacious. Wide aisles, deli counter,hot food counter, huge wine selection, beautiful produce and as you can tell I love this store, When we sta in Pacific Grove, and the seabreeze, we have a kitchen and we stock up for simple eating in our room and we are so happy wit the room and the food, and the kitchen. Back to the store. The selectin is vast and I have to be careful not to impulse buy too much. Drop in and give it alook - you will become asn instant fan!!

Great store, but be prepared to spend money here, as similar to Whole Foods. I just popped in to browse and I love that they had a pretty large section in their store devoted to natural skin and hair care products. I would probably shop there for that purpose only and buy my food items somewhere else a little more inexpensive. Friendly, abundant staff as well. There seemed to be a least 2 on every aisle if I were to have any questions to ask.

This is our grocery of choice when we are staying in Pacific Grove. Very nice store, excellent and courteous staff, and super clean. They always have what we need and a good selection of prepared foods for us out of towners. There is also a Starbucks inside which makes it very convenient to get a cup of java when the hotel coffee just wont do.

A wonderful grocery store, with a fantastastic deli, bakery, a Starbucks, and outdoor seating. Good prices, as well, with a mix of conventional and organic foods that rival Whole Foods, but are easier on the wallet. A surprisingly good beer, wine, and liquor section. If you are going to charge more for the same groceries, you should at least provide some level of acceptable customer service. I waited at a line with a light on (open till) for 10 minutes with 5 staff around saying someone will be right there. The staff was all very nice, but really, one till open at noon....When the clerk came, they opened at another till and I was at the back of the line... I biked 10 minutes to go to Grove Market instead: cheaper groceries and a sense of urgency and service from their excellent staff. Sorry Andronicos, I wont be back.

This place is very clean, well organized with excellent display of their products Good service. Has a Starbucks just inside the front doors. However, they do have a problem with a nasty sewer gas problem in their restrooms. Manager says it is a problem with a grease trap not closing properly but it has been an ongoing problem for months. Restrooms are very clean, just have a nasty odor.

Came in to buy some water and snacks, ended up walking thru the whole store. Wow, they have so much. The deli has a great selection of meats and cheeses which are able to be sliced to fit your needs, along with many already prepared dishes. Lots of organic vegetables and fruits, along with many items not available in your typical big box stores like Savemart and Walmart. But, what really amazes me was the selection of wines, liquors, and beers. If you cant find something here, then go to Bev n More. Lovely people... but the marinaded beef brochettes that I bought to bbq were the toughest I have ever experienced. I dont think they weighed any less after I had chewed and chewed and chewed them and put them back on the plate than they did when they came off the bbq. My jaw is aching! (Also, a note to the meat department: putting a marinade on top of a piece of meat does not make it marinaded - that is a function of immersion in the marinade over time to allow penetration). My first and last visit to this store...

Recent transplants to Old Town Monterey and this is our Go To Market. Staff are friendly, fresh fish is fantastic with great veggie and fruit selections. Beer and wine supply is awesome along with spices etc. And they partner with Safeway for club discounts. Get here for healthy eats 😎

We didnt get a chance to patronize this store. Correction, we intended to patronize this store, but getting a $48 city of Pacific Grove parking ticket removed that desire.We were visiting from out of town and saw how close this otherwise nice looking store was to Cannery Row. We parked and went to the nearby visitor center, then contemplated going to Carls Jr. that is part of the same parking lot, but decided to save our appetite for Row food. After a GREAT day of ocean, food, souvenir shopping, and friendly people, we went back to the car to drop off our trinkets and go into Andronicos. Luckily my wife saw the envelope on the windshield and stopped us from going into the store.Let me explain the situation so you understand how we ended up ticketed. There is poor, small, inconspicuous, and sparse signage to warn of time limits for parking. Parking stalls are not otherwise marked either. Still my fault for not looking harder. But more on what makes this predatory... A person in a safety vest stands by the doors to Andronicos and watches who parks there. We assumed he was security and nodded to him twice. The first time was when we parked and stopped in the visitor center. Then he got a 2nd nod from us 10 minutes later when we walked by towards Cannery Row. Great opportunity to inform us of the parking policy? Ask our intent? Nope. I should have been suspicious when he didnt acknowledge much less return the nods.We decided to watch exactly how the enforcement goes. And this guy let 3 more FAMILIES park and walk by without a word to them, even though some of the people extended courteous nods to him as we had done earlier. They were greeted with the same standoffish non-acknowledgment we received (didnt receive?). He then walks to the vehicles of his targets and immediately marks the drivers rear tire with 2 chalk marks.Read the reviews that cite similar parking experiences and mention poor signage. Also take note of the reviews that state that this store is a Safeway chain member. Indeed there was a Safeway trailer in their dock when we were there.Decide if you want to pay the prices to a business not willing to help people out.

I recently bought a ribeye from their case. Said it was prime. I paid $31 for 1.5 pound steak. Cooked up perfectly. Nice med-rare. However it had large runs of fat running right through the middle. That thick hard fat that you can’t eat. Was very very disappointed. When you spend over $21 a pound you expect much much better cuts. Too bad. Never again! Hardy prime!!!

Andronicos Market seems to get a lot of good reviews, and I would alsohave liked to have given five stars. I have given three stars, as there arethings about the store I dont like. Its large and easy to move around in, but I never get a sense of being at home while shopping there. Having a good feeling about a store, while selecting ones food, for the day/week etc, canmake a difference. We have all been so beaten down, for the past 2 yearsalmost; we are doing better now, and our lives will get back to normalsoon. How great to even think of that, after all the chaos and sadness.In the meantime, we need to shop for groceries, clothes, etc and thatis of course a given.Andronicoss prices are too high (been mentioned before in other reviews) and that stops me from shopping there. I wish that managementwould realize that even though Monterey, is an upscale area, not all thepeople living there, are able to pay prices for their groceries that causethem to pause, and go somewhere else to buy them. Where doesthe customers needs apply here? I *used* to shop at the store frequently, but I would never recommend anyone to shop there today. They have this one security officer who seems to always be working the times that I go. Without fail, he tries to get my car ticketed, even though I am going to Andronicos. Honestly, the store is alright, but this security guard makes it not worth the hassle.

First of all there parking lot stinks like a dead meat. So we decided to park in their parking lot and there was no visible sign that shows only customer parking. We did end up shoping there later without knowing that we got a parking ticket. When we saw the ticket then noticed that they have a small board saying in very small letters that no public parking. Also their one of the employee also saw us parking so he could have also been a little courteous to tell us that you can not park here. Very bad welcome for outsiders. If their board would have been a bit bigger and said in a Bold Letters, it would have been great help.

Went shopping at the new Andronicos in Monterey and was impressed with the cleanliness of the whole market. The meat, deli, and produce dwpartmets have a wide selection to choose from. I was happily surprised to find Organic Pastures raw milk and Humboldt meats. Love that there are sample offerings from the deli department. Staff are doing things right at this store with customer care and attention to detail. Im hooked, Andronicos Community Market is my new go-to store.Update 1-15-19: Andronicos sells Sierra Nevadas Resilience beer! 100% of sales is donated to is donated to the Paradise, CA Camp Fire Relief Fund!

I probably kept going back because of the proximity to my house, but finally ending the streak. Every time I purchase something fresh from this grocer it goes bad within days of purchase. Im referring to the butcher and deli counter for meats specifically. Money thrown in the trash due to poor food storage Im sure. Makes you wonder how everything else is handled.

Beware! Little red head lady charged me $47 which i would have gladly paid, but she was having trouble with the card reader and wouldnt deign to ask for help, so i took my food to another line which served me quickly and for some reason my bill was only $38. Andronicos is basically a spin-off of Safeway a little bit higher end they carry some higher-end Gourmet Foods and ice creams and frozen food that you might not find it Safeway it is basically their Flagship Premier store it is not open 24 hours a day and youll find the pricing a little higher than Safeway however they do take the Safeway card so youll give the discount and the staff is very nice very knowledgeable theres a Starbucks located inside this one and they have a vast wine collection if youre looking for something particular and dont want to pay the high-end price that you would find at a liquor store you were going to be pleasantly surprised at the array of different kind of wines that they have available

This is an amazing store it has a lot to offer including local and extended organic selections even the meat department is on top of their game they have things that not many stores offer including organic fresh meet they also have a wide selection of baked goods that they make fresh every morning even the hot bar is made fresh every Day by a chef this is the place to go for really good and hot food you wont be disappointed also its a brand new store so if you dont find anything that youre looking for you can always ask and they will order it for you if they cant find it first
