Dr Sreepathi is patient, kind and efficient, all things a good physician should be.But most of all he makes sure your progress is not hampered by lack of communication or paperwork delays. As a personal assistant scheduling and order is very important in my work as is someone working in customer service. The front desk receptionist is quite the opposite. The lack of kindness from someone working in mental health - she very cold and abrupt over the phone not helpful and quite rude. Not only that but when speaking to the other staff she was quite rude to them as well. Im really disappointed.

I had to cancel last minute because I couldnt afford the copay. The receptionist on the phone said (EXACT QUOTE) Youre wasting our time because we called you yesterday and you didnt answer. Stupid. and then hung up on me. This is a mental health professional speaking this way. Im extremely hurt and disappointed with the way I was spoken too.

I have PTSD and Dr Sreepathi took an empathy on me not like others that pretend to listen. He helped which I can’t say of others I’ve experienced in 45 years. He cares. Truly cares and is God Sent.

Writing this review marks the end of my 9-month journey with Dr. Ananya Sreepathis clinic--hopefully for good. I have found Dr. Sreepathis approach to medicine and billing to be different from my expectations, though I cannot say he lacks kindness or fails to put effort into his practice. I have decided to move forward with a provider whose professional and academic background and treatment plan are more aligned with my care team and me.During the course of my treatment, there were instances when his reactions to things left me questioning his methods. For example, his surprised reaction to my disclosure of self-harm was unexpected, and his views on disorder such as ASD were problematic and betrayed a lack of comprehensive understanding. Nonetheless, he always showed kindness and a willingness to help. I never felt judged by him and his treatment plans were easy to follow.The reason I decided to switch providers was my care team, which comprises of my husband, my primary care physician, and leading Bay Area medical specialists. The felt skeptical of Dr Sreepathis approach to my treatment. In particular, my PCP and the rest of the care team disliked his tendency towards medication-heavy treatment plans that often involve over-prescription of controlled substances. Still, Ive appreciated his clinics readiness to help me navigate my mental health challenges and his offices flexible scheduling.An especially bright spot at Dr. Sreepathis practice has been Megan, the front desk person. She has consistently been supportive, kind, and ready to help. Her attentiveness has made my interactions with the clinic more pleasant.I would have given Dr Sreepathis office 3 starts were it not for a front desk incident that shook me quite a bit and cemented my decision to switch providers. Without going into specifics, I had an experience with a staff member that felt extremely unkind and dismissive. This incident involved a billing issue that was brought to my attention (via phone call) rather abruptly and escalated quickly. The staff member’s approach was distressing, especially given my ongoing health issues and personal circumstances. While they were likely unaware of my specific situation, I believe a bit more patience and understanding could have gone a long way.After this experience, I arranged to settle the bill promptly in hopes of avoiding further distressing interactions this this office.The lack of compassion I felt during this interaction was difficult to bear, especially given the already challenging context of my health and personal situation. This experience reminded me of how important kindness and understanding are especially when dealing with patients with disabilities.To sum up, my experience at Dr. Ananya Sreepathis clinic has been a mixed one. Some aspects of the practice, like the patient interaction by staff like Megan, have been positive. Others, such as my recent experience with the billing issue, have been highly distressing. My hope is that everyone at the clinic can prioritize empathy and compassion in their interactions with patients.***Edit: I increased a star because one of the doctors on their staff called me to apologize about this incident and reassured me that staff will be given appropriate training.

Dr. was referred to me to look at current medications and to look into them for any inconsistencies with new meds for depression, ZERO energy, anxiety, etc. Dr. has been very helpful to diagnose any items that may interfere with each other. Office is very clean, office personnel are very nice and helpful. Ive been treated here for 4 months now and I understand all methods of treatment and how they may affect me.I am completely happy with my treatment so far, as we are still working together to get the best fit for my ailments.Joyce

I could tell he was invested into thinking about the best course of action specifically for me, vs others he could have chosen. Will follow up in two weeks with what I know will be progress.

When I made my 1st phone call to make an appointment I spoke to a young lady named Amanda. She was a breath of fresh air from her professional and bubbly personality. I could tell she enjoyed her job and was concerned about their patients. When I got to my appointment with my wife and checked in I saw a lady smiling and I knew it was who I spoke to. She said have a seat and the Dr. will be right with you. Within 2 minutes we were directed to his office.Dr. Sreepathi was sitting at his desk and we sat down.He started asking us some questions and we realized we had found the right Doctor! His questions and answers were focused and spot on. He was typing on his computer as we were answering him. He is very knowledgeable and professional with a sense of humor as well. After his assessment and diagnosis he prescribed a light medication for me to try. My wife and I were very pleased with him and are looking forward to our next appointment!

Dr. Sreepathi is a very warm, intelligent and empathetic doctor. He really listens and I felt like I could talk with him about anything without judgment. He helped create a plan for my medication and when I had problems with the pharmacy he called them himself and took care of the issue right away which I so appreciated. I look forward to my next visit with him.

Dr. Ananya is super helpful. In addition, his medication treatment for my depression really works a lot! Before taking medication, I could hardly wake up in the morning with very little energy. I slept for a whole day! I could hardly do anything and my father had to come to take care of me everyday. Dr. Ananya prescribed me with a specific medication according to my case. And it really works! I could feel my energy back after taking the medication! You can hardly imagine that I haven’t been able to feel happy for almost one year but this medication helps me find it back! I am still taking the medication now and I am getting better and better. Thanks to Dr. Ananya, He is such a great doctor that could really help you!

Dr. Sreepathi truly cares about his patients. He takes his time in getting to know you as a person and what type of treatment best suits your individual needs. In this day and age we live in, its rare to find a doctor that will treat you like a person, not just a number. I highly recommend this practice, as I personally have gone through a lot in the past year, and Dr. Sreepathi has made me feel like I am his only patient.

Dr Sreepathi, listens and makes you feel comfortable, I added a supplement to use instead of my medication and he explained to me why that wasn’t a good idea. If I ever wanted too change something to call him first next time. It really helped to understand why I was feeling the way I was.

Missed one appointment ever - immediately got charged $100 without a heads up. No emails, no texts, etc for my appointment. These people don’t care about your mental illness, they care about getting paid. Can’t make an exception for someone who’s going through many hardships. I work at a doctors office - this is completely immoral and would not happen in a trustworthy business. Take your money elsewhere. Isn’t it ironic that they’re expecting mentally ill people to remember appointments without any reminders?

There were some technical difficulties but was able to complete the appointment. I only gave 4 stars being I was hoping for a little more talk therapy than a series of close ended questions followed by a prescription option. Though the therapist was extremely professional and made sure it was Oky for me to take any pharmaceutical options. I would have like to have more room for a deeper discussion.

He is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. I have chronic severe ptsd and depression. I have seen many psychiatrists for the last 25 years. He cares about you as a person. He does not spend 10 minutes with you and dispense medications. He takes his time with you and allows you to talk and he listins. I would suggest him to anyone I know who needs a psychiatrist. He is affordable and can take patients right away.

Extremely disappointed. I thought I’d found a good one because of all the positive reviews but this doc doesn’t like to follow up or return phone calls to his patients. I really hope he’s ok, but I don’t understand what happened. Is the office closed now? Are there no receptionists to return calls or let us know of office closures?
