Let me be very clear.. I have never worked for Amtec or applied to any of their postings as far as I’m aware. My guess is they got my info off a job.board somewhere since they contacted me about a role in Portland, OR. I haven’t lived in Oregon in some time, though last time I was actuvely looking for work was when I was there.Out of professional curtesy I responded to the unsolicited email saying I wasn’t interested since the role was 700 miles away and far lower pay than what I make now. I asked to be taken off their contact list since I’m not looking for work.It return I received one of the rudest and most unprofessional responses I’ve gotten from a recruiter.. any pleasantries were gone and it was almost accusatory that I bother to write back and dare say I wasn’t interested.The recruiter was overly dramatic and stated they would never contact me again… which was what I asked, so… okay?The whole thing was really, really weird Again no prior contact with these people and given all of this? Even if there came a time I did decide to change roles, they wouldn’t be a company I’d look to to assist in a job search.

Robert reached out to me with two opportunities. He was able to explain the position and answer my questions, which showed he had the knowledge and understanding of the positions and industry he was representing. He followed up; letting me know he received the information regarding my background and experience.

My first impression of working with Amtec was great. The Direct Hire Staffing Manager (Lauren) that I spoke with came across as the perfect example of what a Staffing/Hiring Manager should be.Her excellent listening style to capture the important points youre trying to get access across enabled on the point responses, and her mannerism was professional and defusing of interview tensions. I was contacted by them about a job I had applied for on indeed. I verified my that I wanted to move forward, and the woman I spoke to said the next step would be her manager contacting me within the next 2 days about a interview. I was really looking forward to it. 5 days go by and I hear nothing. I decide to call same woman I spoke to and follow up, and she said she is no longer doing recruiting in my area and that she would email me a follow up by the end of the day. I waited and got nothing. I was really upset because it was my dream job and I couldnt even get an interview. In my experience with amtec, it seems that they are extremely unorganized and/or just straight up dishonest. Just dont get your hopes up..

BEWARE! My husband contacted them for a job, turns out one of their secretaries was getting cozy personal with my husband calling at all times of the day while he was at work and even after business hours. I counted about 5-6 phone calls each day for about one week. I ended up blocking their number due to the many irrelevant calls and lack of professionalism. This ”coordinator” even had me verifying documentation without knowing who I was.

Was recommended for pertinent position with adequate pay in the area I was living in. Simple right? At the time I had been actively looking for jobs, a number of agencies blasted out email after email for unrelated work. Overall, the Amtec recruitment experience, through onboarding, was great. The staff were quite exceptional with their professionalism, candidate preparation and business style. Their online timekeeping & payroll processes are user-friendly. However, the clunky timekeeping system I used at my former work assignment was not available for me to use online. As a contractor, I was relegated to a manual clocking in/out system located in a smelly warehouse.

I applied for a customer service position and was advised my application had been forwarded to the company which was hiring. Two days later the Amtec recruiter called and stated the hiring company requested for me to apply for a Claims Analyst position. While at the interview, it became apparent the Claims Analyst position was more on the technical area. I eventually received a call from the recruiter and was told I didnt get the job (obviously) and it was too late to submit my application for the customer service position (the original position I applied for) because the position was now closed.
