Very sad to say this place doesnt even deserve a 1 star. Ive been going to Americas tires for over 5 years and I recently had a cracked rim. I got my custom rim ordered through them and they told me it will take 2-3 weeks to come in. 3 weeks pass by and I call them and they said its gonna take over 3 months.... Wasnt very happy about this but had to get the rim. 3 months goes by then I call back and they said they had the rim for 3 days now according to the guy I spoke to on the phone(never got a call) I went to the shop so they can install it and after an hour of waiting the guy said he couldnt find my rim. He called the company that made it and they said they are still making it. 4 months go by and I call again and they said they had it. I made sure to tell the guy to check first before I get there which he did and they had it. I came in and they installed it. I told the guy to call me when it was done so I can pick it up. I never ONCE got a call so I just showed up and my car was just sitting there with the new rim on. I go to make sure everything was right and it wasnt..... they ordered me a rim that was way too big for my car and hitting my fender. I went inside and asked if they could refund me my money or order me a new one that was the right side and he said he called and told me that they dont make my size rim anymore. I then called the company that made my rim and they said they do. The guy at Americas tires took the measurements wrong and wont own up to it. I know people make mistakes but I wouldve appreciated a call or an apology. Americas tires LIED to me and took ADVANTAGE of me. Not sure if its because Im a girl and they think I dont know anything about cars but I do! This rim is over 500$ and I do not have money like that to be giving away. They DID NOT ONCE call me telling me my rim was ready or they couldnt order the right one. I WILL BE GOING TO HIGH UPS IF THEY DONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. THIS IS NOT OKAY!!!!

Special ordered Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02s for a 1999 BMW Z3, shipping was quicker than expected. The fitting appointment was very smooth, checked in, and was out the door in less than 45 minutes.But what really set this location apart was the attempted flat repair less than a month later.They attempted a repair and it would not hold due to the angle the hole was (they even brought the tire into the waiting area to show me).They got the replacement tire ordered and fitted the next day!So a huge thank you to Ramiro, Daniel, Chris and the rest of the crew in GIlroy!

My mother came to the shop this afternoon, her appointment was scheduled at 4:30pm, and she was luckily enough to have Chris helped her got all four NEW TIRES at a great price and got the installation done within 45 minutes instead of having her to wait for another hour. Very great service and strongly recommended!!

This past week my car had a serious issue with one of the tires and it was brought to my attention by one of my coworkers that mytire was flat. Luckily I keep a spare air pump in my trunk so I filled up my tire and drove over to this Americas Tire. They had a lot of options and price ranging from low to high. The service consultant was kind enough to go through all the different prices and tell my which tire was recommended. Overall I was in and out in less than 1 hour. Super pleased and will be back if I ever need a tire support in the future.

My tire wasnt fixed, they claimed it was and sent me driving only to have it go flat again.. I went to another shop 15 miles away they said Americas tire did no work at all on the tire and I could t keep going on my journey too tired because last time the same thing happened to me. Crooked guys working there ok. All the same race too we dont that or need it or feel safe anymore with you guys who hire like this. All you constantly do here is have people who dont respect me all huddled up together working so thanks alot.

Ordered tires from a third party, had them delivered here. Schedule an appointment. Figure it should be simple and quick. Edgar was having difficulties finding them in the computer system. They were obviously delivered as I had confirmation. Someone with more experience was able to assist Edgar(yes that’s his name, no joke) locate my tires in their system, and in the garage… no big deal, they were there just took a bit longer than usual, and had me a bit concerned initially.They got my tires put on pretty quickly. While waiting, I notice the staff was having fun while working on my vehicle. Initially I didn’t have an issue with this. Boy being boys goofing off. After driving my vehicle for a week, I’ve lost two hub caps. I’ve driven this vehicle over 35k miles never lost one. After my visit I’d say I’m disappointed they didn’t secure my caps properly. well as the delay and scare I had about about them locating my order.They got to job done, but I won’t be back.

The staff were courteous and did their job.Pricing - Not competitive. Firestone in Milpitas charged me 125$ labor and recycling of 4 tires. Whereas Americas Tire charged me 185$ for the same. In Gilroy where their rent, wages etc should be lower.

So disappointed of this place I just to like it Because they had a good guarantee that I like for my tires but the services is suck as hell, I had a bad experience from here, they have a high school guys and girl making that work and it seems they don’t have much knowledge to treat cars, This girl doesn’t know what socket was for my tire, so she damaged my nuts she used a wrong socket then they have to Walk to Home Depot to buy the right socket then they make me buy a set of nuts without any discount. The managers are helpless they try to blame my car brand they said it has cheap nuts, but they don’t know that I been working in my tires more than ones without issues . Don’t trues in them anymore .Also they don’t want to check the car tires until you make an appointment, even if youhad guarantee for the services

I am disabled so it is hard for me to put air in my tires, when I arrived to America tires I waited for 15 minutes the young guys working there just kept walking by me not even asking me if I needed help so I called the office you could even hear the phone ringing as I called after 8 times turning over some guy answered I told him I have been waiting a long time and nobody came he didn’t even say sorry he just said ok I will get someone to come and help but they never did so I left I will never ever go back to them again.

I have been going to Americas Tire for 20 years and that was the worst experience. I walked into an empty store with a single car in the bays and the two people at the front (one of them a manager) looked at me and refused to acknowledge me. Some weird standoff since neither thought it was their job to help me. The person who eventually checked me in didnt know how to use the tread scanner and said that the right side were heavily worn and needed to be replaced. We checked again and they were fine. With only one car in the bay, they told me it would be 2 hours. Turns out, they did it in 30 minutes. While I was in the store, customers waited more than 10 minutes for someone to come in from the shop. A girl with a tight dress was in the shop and the level of productivity went from barely to nothing. I left while another couple was complaining to the manager. He didnt care.

I recently visited American Tire for the second time to repair my tire and I couldnt be more pleased with their service. From start to finish, the experience was professional and efficient. I booked an appointment before I came, which made the process even smoother. When I arrived, the staff greeted me warmly and got to work on my tire right away.The repair was done quickly and with great care, which was evident when I drove my car afterwards. The tire felt like new again! Whats more, the service was completely free, which is a rarity these days. After making me wait 3 weeks for tires they already had they finally installed them and break my brake pad sensor. And before that they didn’t properly install weight on the wheels right so they shot out on the street, luckily no one or property was damaged. I go there to pay a little more so the Mexican tire shops don’t scratch my rims, instead I get broken sensors and loose weights.

I had a bad experience at this Americas Tire location.They were supposed to put two 255/50/R19 tires on my SUV, but it turns out one of them was a 235/55/R19 tire. I only discovered this mistake after driving the car for several days, and Im concerned that it might have caused damage to the drivetrain of my car.This is very unprofessional, I need to return tires and get a refund.

I wanted to purchase new tires for my daughter’s 2019 KIA Sorento. I checked out options and settled on America’s Tire in Gilroy. Excellent decision. Purchased 4 Corsa Highway Terrain tires online and paid through PayPal. Arrived at 10:45 for 11AM appointment. Was promptly waited on by Jose R L. He took required information and advised tires would be installed within an hour. KIA was all finished by 11:30AM. Very professional crew in Gilroy CA! Highly recommend America’s Tire in Gilroy.

Normally we have always been in and out with an appointment. However today that was not the case and my husband received the worst customer service. My husband made an appointment one week ago online last Saturday. Shows up for his appt see’s a sign on the door we are short staff wait time is longer. He goes to the counter they tell him we do not see your appt in our system, my husband showed them the email confirmation for his appt. They refused to honor his appt and told him you can leave your tire we will call you when it’s ready but you need to put the tire back on your truck yourself. Mind you he has a warranty for all four new tires he bought from them. Completely ridiculous customer service.my husband check the tire app this morning to confirm his appt time is for 12pm. After he was told by the rep working at American Tires suddenly his appt in their app was now gone. They deleted his appt in their system. Why not just be honest and say we are short staffed can you come back tomorrow or Monday? If they are so dishonest with this just imagine how else they may be dishonest and ripping off customers!

The prices are good. However, my appt. time was for 12:00 and they didn’t get to me until almost 1:00. Then they broke the wheel lock key making them have to break-off the studs with the wheel locks on them in order to install my new tires. Now I have to go back so they can replace those studs that they broke. In all fairness they refunded me the labor charge for the tire install for my troubles and paid for the new studs and wheel locks.

Went in to get my tires and balanced and rotated. After checking in I waited in my car less then 5 minutes before the Tech contacted me. 15, 20 minutes tops my vehicle was ready. This place is always busy so I know I caught them at the right time but still.....check in was easy and the Tech was a very polite young man. Doug, and the guys, at Americas Tire really made my day. Had taken the day off expecting to have my tires, that were purchased over 10 days ago, installed at Costco by appt. Was horrified to learn that despite FedEx tracking showing they were delivered, 2 were not actually delivered and they recommended I buy two MORE tires w/o a refund to get the promotional pricing. After fighting with Costco about next steps for hours, I finally had it and called these guys at 4:30PM. Doug immediately set out to see how he could help. He verified the set of Michelin Defender in my size was in stock, price matched, got me in and tires installed the same day even with it being so late in the day. Everyone was friendly and I was on my way home in less time than it took for me to try to get the return handled with Costco which I started while getting the tires installed. These guys are amazing! My fleet will definitely be back.

UNSAFE. Got new 4 tires to go on vacation and they left me with a loose valve stem making one of my tires leak. Fixed it my self and called back to see if there was anything they could do to help. They wouldn’t even give me certificates to cover the tires in case there was damage. Apparently they don’t even believe in their own work! Low prices even lower quality of service. That’s not service and that’s not the meaning of appointment . DMV style service will not keep me as a customer . Best tire shop in Gilroy. All of their employees are very professional helpful knowledgeable. Tire prices are good. I have NEVER been to a tire shop where they check your tires pressure or slow leak flat and fixed it for FREE... Yes FREE! If you have a nail screw etc and its on the safe part of the tire they patch it up for FREE, even if you purchased your tires else where. They still help you! They have rims & tires of all sizes.I love this place !

I love going to Americas Tires to buy my tires but this time was 50-50 on customer service because I went into the store for my appointment time and was quoted a better price in-store than when I called to make an appointment. Gave the keys to Jesus J B, who is the salesperson who handled my appointment. I chilled in the lobby to wait for my car to be done.The mechanics did a great jobs as always. However, once my car as done and sitting in the parking lot. Jesus J B never announced to me that my car was finished. I was sitting in the lobby patiently waiting for him to tell me my car is ready, but he never did.I wasted about 30 minutes chillin in the lobby when my car was already ready. I had to go up to him and ask if my car was ready, and he didnt even remember which car was mine. It started off great but ended on a sour note.

This location needs to train its employees with SOFT SKILLS: 9:45 am entered the door and observed 4-5 people gathered around talking behind an associate who helped me check-in for my appointment. He tried to get my information but the associates continued to have a conversation so we couldnt hear each other. The associate who checked me in casually talk to me like I am his next-door neighbor instead of humbly taking my information because the people were too loud. I happily opened the door for him to check the mileage in my car. (Mental Note: That was already interesting because I bought several tires from the Fremont location and I have not experienced anything like this!) I asked him if he could change only two tires but he was nice enough to recommend changing 4 tires because they were all bald. I insisted and asked him if he could change two tires. Anyway, we went back inside and handed in my key then went to the bathroom. Shocking! The bathroom was so FILTHY! (Mental Note: This is not Americas Tires anymore! It reminded me of a small gas station at the side of the road that has dirty bathrooms.) I left the store for an hour then when I came back I saw my car parked in the lot so I went inside and was greeted by the same associate. He walked out with me but this time he opened the door. He told me he changed all 4 tires and went back inside then handed me my keys (without the work order receipt). I drove away and noticed the car was bouncing, the steering wheel was following the groove of the road and it was steering left and right. Also, when I sped over 59 mph car was bumpy and shaking. The next morning I drove my car to work which is approx. 49 miles away and felt so scared. Later that morning I talked to another associate who was polite and immediately responded to my safety concerns. He sent me to the closest Americas Tires (Hamilton Branch) to do balance the tires. I was flabbergasted to see more than 5 cars ahead of me. However, the efficiency and their teamwork is something the Gilroy staff should replicate. My car was done and fixed in 50 minutes! They used technology (i.e., text message) to inform the guests or customers of the status of the car so they could attend to incoming customers instead of answering questions when their vehicles will be done. You see...EFFICIENCY! They were polite, professional, and efficient. Thank you Americas Tires Hamilton Branch!Obviously, the Gilroy team needs to grow and continue to train their staff to develop soft skills (i.e., professionalism, efficiency, and INTEGRITY). Big difference in service but same company. Lets reflect on that Americas Tires CORPORATE!

Normally Im a big fan of Americas Tire. Ive gone to them for probably 4 or 5 sets of tires over the years. Ive also been to them a few times to repair tires that have gotten nails in them and they dont charge for the repair even if you didnt buy the tires from them. Very cool.So why the 2 star rating? Well Ill tell ya. I ordered a set of tires that had to be ordered. The tires arrived on Friday which was fine because I was planning on having them installed on Saturday. I drop the car off at about 10am last Saturday and am told that it will probably be a couple of hours. The guy gives me the total and it seems a little high so I ask for a breakdown of the charges. It seems that Americas Tire automatically adds their $25 a tire road hazard insurance! Its a nice little policy where they will replace a tire for free if you ever have an issue where it isnt repairable. A nice bit of insurance but it adds $100 to the cost of your tires. I dont think Ive ever had an issue where a tire I bought couldnt be fixed. So to me the insurance is just wasted money, like buying the extended warranty on a TV. And if you dont ask they just tack it on under your nose. Kinda shady in my opinion.So I walk over to McDonalds for some breakfast and then walk around the outlets to kill some time. I walk back to the shop after killing about 1-1/2 hours and Im still about 5th in line. The guy tells me it will be another hour or so. No biggie. I call the wife up and she comes and gets me.A little after 2pm I get a call that my car is ready. We drive back over and Im doing the paperwork I happen to look at my wheel lock and its broken! I point this out to they guy and he brings the tech over. I ask him what happened and he says, Yeah the lock broke on the first wheel. So I ask him how he got my wheels off and he tells me that they just broke them all off! So then I ask, If you broke my wheel locks off did you replace my lugs? The guy says no!!!!! So Im just supposed to drive around on 4 lug nuts?!?!? I would assume the car came with 5 for a reason. He tells me that its safe. I ask to speak to a manager and Raul comes over. I ask Raul why the shop didnt bother to call me when the lock was broken? Had they just let me know I would have told them to stop and then possibly went out and bought another set to bring to them to replace the ones they broke. I also questioned the statement that my car was safe driving on only 4 lugs, (thats a 20% decrease in the clamping power that is holding my wheels on). Raul offered to pay for a new set of locks so I got on the phone with Ford Store Morgan Hill. While I was on the phone Raul found a set of locks that he apparently didnt know they had on hand and put them on for me.So had I not noticed my broken wheel lock and asked what happened would they have just sent me on my way?!?!? Sure seems like it. That is completely unacceptable! The only reason I am giving a 2-star rating instead of 1-star is that the manager Raul was very helpful in alleviating the problem after I brought it to his attention. But needless to say I am very unhappy with Americas Tire.

I called and arranged to get 4 new tires on my vehicle and showed up at opening time two days later. They met me at the door, took the car into the shop and started removing the old tires while I paid inside. In twenty minutes they were finished and I was out of there and sitting in Black Bear Diner for breakfast at 8:30! Friendly, efficient service. Could not be happier.

Outstanding. I have a 10 year old SUV that has had most tire work done at another well known tire store who shall remain nameless. That unnamed store uses air guns instead or torque wrenches which distorted and wrecked my lug nuts over time -- to the point that the lug wrench supplied with my vehicle would no longer work, nor could AAA change the flat tire. Its true Dodge and Ford are known for making lug nuts which have soft aluminum shells over the steel cores. But tire experts should know that and adjust! Americas Tire got the old lug nuts off (all wheels) and replaced them with 100% steel ones for about $2 per lug, installed. Superb. And they dont use air guns. They hand torque each lug to factory spec. Friendly, fast, have never tried to sell any of my family tires or service that they didnt really need. Oh, and they fixed the flat for free. Love these guy!

My daughter bought and paid for the tires on line and I identified myself as the person who would bring in the vehicle. I complied with all identification requests made on their website and still was questioned about who I was and whether I could get the tires. After that was settled, the people working on the car finished, then took a break leaving the car on the rack until a person inside the store told them I was waiting and they finished up on the vehicle bringing it out in about 10 additional minutes. I buy all my tires at this particular store and this is the worst treatment I have ever received there.

It took 41/2 hours to get my tires. They did me a favor by telling me that I can come back in 1 and1/2hours but when I went back they said I had to wait another 2 hours. When I came back again we had to wait an hour. Total of 4 and a half hour. Thats a long wait. I dont understand why they cant just ask you to come back at a resonable time. They wanted me to wait more than 2 and 1/2 hours sitting at their store. They should be more accomodating to their clients needs.

Terrible experience buying tires!After paying for the tires for my sons car we left the vehicle there for installation, two hours later we received a call that they couldnt install the tires unless we bought new wheels too do to his vehicle having spacers and they refused to install them for that reason. We bought the vehicle with used with this application already installed and never had a problem what so ever. We came back to pick up the vehicle and the manager that called had a bag of part in a bag he mentioned they took this parts off and installed the original tires including the temporary wheel back on without some part. He proceeded to tell us the vehicle should be towed and in his opinion wasnt safe to drive ( Total scare tactics ) in fact the parts he left out made the vehicle less safe so I drove it to another tire shop they installed a new tire to just replace the flat one with no problems or any mention of safety issues.It is my opinion this store was trying very hard at upselling and I will never go back again.

I’ve been to this America’s Tire location quite a few times now. This past visit was no different than the rest. They are predictably slow, no matter if you have an appointment or are a walk in. Typical visit requires at least 2-3 hours of your time. Your best bet is to only go here when you can afford to drop your car off and come back later in the day. Plus side is there are the Gilroy Premium Outlets nearby so you can kill some time there...

Theyll price match and have their own special deals, so you should have no trouble getting a good tire/wheel solution here.- In our local area they are one of the last places you can also buy wheels - not just tires. That became important to me when I was due for tires and wanted to also swap-in replacement wheels that would reduce unsprung weight, lower my axle ratio for quicker low-end acceleration (by going DOWN in wheel diameter instead of up), sharpen steering response, save money in replacement tires (smaller diameter cost less) and look good.- One of the tricks here is getting the wheel offset right and being mindful of proper fit to clear brake calipers (a concern when reducing wheel diameter).- Not only does the results look good the car responds much quicker and actually rides slightly smoother now (215/50/15 vs the old 215/45/17s). Because Mini Coopers actually came stock with 15/16/17 and had optional 18s (18s just for looks if you like that but really made the ride too jarring let alone excess weight and cost) and with my chosen wheel pattern the smaller size doesnt look out of place. Both tires and wheels together cost less than $200 more than just putting on another set of 17 tires on my original wheels and Ill be ahead money with each set of 15s I put on in the future as replacements. The challenge may come in the future if tire manufacturers abandon making 15s because the world is being taken over by Stupid Ugly Vehicles - you know; SUVs. They follow the rest of the obese population into blindly increasing size without regards to consequences.

Run Flat Tires!!! what a nightmare, until went to Americas Tire in Gilroy, Ca. I spoke with Robert at the front desk, I cannot speak more highly of him on helping, for one, giving me peace of mind with fixing my tire, making me aware its a one time thing, graciously showing me the manufactures that permit repair for a runflat, where no one else in town or the few I called in San Jose would do. Assuring me I did not have to replace 2 tire since my other was in great condition. He offered me a warranty on the fixed tire along with the other 3, which I happily purchased. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. Thank you again for your service, along with your co-workers who I teased about gloves and shoe covers, I will definitely recommend your services and come back when time for our other 3 vehicles tires for repair or replacement.
