Briar Pecsok is a not to be trusted from our personal and documented experience. She mislead us, wasting our time & money. Additionally she wasted our agents time who was very ill, yet he still wrote up an offer based on deception in our opinion. Again all is documented via texts. Happy to share them

When you speak with Anthony his knowledge is impressive - he absolutely inspires confidence. But more importantly, he gets results. Anthony’s knowledge and strategy got my offer accepted on my new home before other offers had time to come in, and before the house even went on Caravan. My offer was good, but it was the way Anthony framed it that got me the house without any real competition – virtually impossible in today’s market!Anthony is professional, responsive, an excellent communicator, thoughtful and deliberate. In addition, he passed up at least 2 opportunities for quick deals for himself in order to hold out for the best property and best deal for me. Buying or selling a home is an exciting time but can be stress-filled. My wife and I recently hired Anthony Marguleas from Amalfi Estates to sell our home. The process would prove to be a difficult one, seeing as we live outside the U.S. and we were going to be renovating our home before selling. Thank God we had Anthony and his team in our corner. They provided ongoing communication with us, as well as overseeing the renovation. To say they went beyond the call of duty would be an understatement! Their hand holding and support helped get us through this challenging process. This was the second home Anthony sold for us and the previous experience was equally professional. As fairly frequent seller-movers, we had heard positive comments about Amalfi Realty from the team that did an excellent selling our SF townhouse before we bought in Santa Monica in 2018. So when we were again ready to sell 3 years later, we contacted Anthony Marguleas. Amalfi was ultra-flexible about selling the property without the need to stage — not an option other realtors had provided us in the past— and Anthony himself, in a detailed walk-through before we signed with him, gave us suggestions for cost-effective ways for us to improve the look of the attractive but slightly idiosyncratic property.Amalfi placed the townhouse on the market in late-October, and the sale closed in mid-December. This had been our own best-case scenario for our move to New York, where we had bought a property. We were pleased with Amalfi’s selling price and terms, and this in an increasingly challenging market for sellers in our area.Once the showings began, Anthony and his team would always provide detailed reports about them and further suggestions for details that might increase the appeal of the home to a broad audience. They were consistently attentive but never intrusive. We would characterize their stye as low-key but focused and intense.Anthony and his representatives were consistently mindful of our wants and needs and never ostensibly ruffled by our own occasional demands in the ongoing process. When we had to sell our childhood home, we decided to go with the number one realtor in the area. We interviewed several and they were all nice, but Anthony Marguelas is the real deal. He personally handles all sales and is a contract expert. We also just happened to have two friends who still live in the area who we happened to see at an event and we asked them about him, and they raved as well as they had used him on multiple sales. Five stars for Amalfi Estates! My brother and I were in the situation of having to sell our mothers home in the Pacific Palisades long distance, since we both live in VA. The house, while well-loved, wasnt in fantastic shape. It certainly was not the typical zillion dollar PP listing that I would imagine realtors lust after. And yet Anthony and his team were in equal measure kind, hard-working, and strategic. We never doubted they had our best interests at heart, and we never felt like we got the discount treatment because the value of the property was lower than the median in that area. Plus, Amalfi donates 10% of its commission to a local charity. In an industry filled with all kinds, you are in great hands with these guys.

I am not a big reviewer, but I had to leave a review for Victoria after our last encounter! My husband and I have been looking casually for a home in the Palisades area on and off for sometime and have had the pleasure of running into Victoria at multiple open houses. Not only did she remember us, she could recall details of our previous conversations! She is truly personable and a pleasure to see! We are first time homebuyers -- scratch that -- homeOWNERS! What started as a crazy dream we wished for actually came true thanks to the incredible work of Trevor and Anthony. Buying a home for the first time can be an emotional rollercoaster, especially in this city/market, but not only were they always three steps ahead, incredibly caring and thoughtful -- they helped us purchase our dream home UNDER the budget we originally had through very smart negotiations. These guys bring a WEALTH of knowledge beyond anything I could have imagined and they do it with absolute class (and no wonder UCLA asked Anthony to teach real estate classes there).NEVER were we made to feel like newbies (though we were) -- no detail or question was too small for them to carefully talk us through. Their attention to detail was unbelievable. Trevor was always there when we needed him... so, so bright, and his huge passion for realty was infectious and really shone through. And overall the process was so smooth I can hardly believe I am now holding the keys.To think that there were 8 other offers on our home at the same time to boot... This review ONLY pertains to Jeff Sandorf and is not inclusive of Anthony Marguleas. Jeff represented the buyers and we were the sellers in this transaction Im writing this review on. Bottom line is: Jeff dragged out our escrow for 76 days! He was non-responsive, unprofessional very threatening throughout the entire process. He repeatedly sent us questions without actually moving the deal forward. He forced us to serve his clients a Notice to Perform (meaning even though they had 14 days to lift all contingencies, if they have not done so after say 21 days, we could force them to act). We never thought we would have to actually exercise that right. Well we did. And, we didnt find out there was a problem with the buyers loans until the notice was served! We then asked Jeff if his clients needed an extension of escrow. He said no and that he believed escrow was going to close on time. So, we informed him that we are going to go ahead and sign a lease and we would need his clients to agree to pay us a per diem for each day post the escrow closing day. He then decides to inform us that it is impossible for them to close on time! But he still does not request for an extension. Our agent had to proactively send them an extension and estimate a closing date that was convenient for his client so that we could go and find a rental and sign a lease. I can go on and on with many more details. We dont typically write reviews but we do not want anyone else to go through what we went through with Jeff. Actually, we spoke to 2 other agents that said that they will choose not to work with Jeff on the other side of a transaction if they could (i.e. they would advise their clients not to take Jeffs offer if there was another choice). Were a month after closing now and receive an e-mail from Jeff wanting to change something major our executed contract regarding money that we had left in escrow for specific repairs AND accusing us of not disclosing something. I had to go back through tons of e-mails to find our disclosure and forward it back to him. What an unpleasant experience we had and are still having with Jeff Sandorf.

We worked with Briar from Amalfi Estates for the past 5 months to find our familys forever home. My husband and I were pretty picky about what we were looking for, and the combination of our must haves made it a difficult search. But Briar quickly understood what we were looking for and spent a lot of time with us viewing all of the properties that just might work. On top of that, we have two young children, which can make house touring even more challenging, and Briar often jumped in to keep our kids happy and occupied (even carrying them around or chasing them around the houses) so that my husband and I could focus on touring the homes. We probably wouldnt have gone to view the house we ended up buying if it wasnt for Briar convincing us that it was perfect for us, and she was right - as soon as we saw it we knew it was exactly what we had been looking for. Hopefully well be in this house for a very long time, but we wouldnt hesitate to work with Briar again in the future!
