Alternative Technologies is a great company. They do good work, servicing non profits in the Bay Area with all their Telecom and IT needs. Highly recommend!

For years we used AT&T and we hated them. The Ecology Center in Berkeley recommended Alternative Technologies and I highly recommend them for so many reasons: 1) Any time Ive had tech support issues, they have been super responsive. Unlike AT&T, you can actually reach a human being at Alternative Tech and they spend time on your issue until its resolved. 2) They are actually quite a bit cheaper than AT&T, both their monthly fee and their phones / hardware 3) There is an awesome cell phone app which means now I can answer the shop phone anywhere and I can still answer the phone even when power goes out 4) This is a local Berkeley company with super friendly and patient staff. The company I work for is going to be potentially installing 2 NEC phone systems for a client. We reached out to our NEC Partner and they gave us this companys name. At first I contacted them through the website and they responded pretty fast. We got the ball rolling and was getting all the paperwork in order. We even scheduled the surveys (which was supposed to be tomorrow). I get a call mid afternoon telling me that they are too busy to do sub work and that they usually avoid it. I explain that the person I was dealing with knew they would be a sub and that they would be getting the job. It didnt matter to this person. So now almost a week and half of my time has been wasted. Thank you so very much. (if you cant tell thats sarcasm)
