We were in town to pick up some vintage China we bought from some really nice sellers and decided to try a cuisine our daughter has never tried. She loved the food and the atmosphere at this restaurant, which stayed open rather late on a weeknight. The best thing we ate? The sausages dipped in their amazing mustard! My Jagerschnitzel did not disappoint. I swear that mushroom gravy they douse it with will make shoe leather taste amazing! The hubby ordered the stuffed cabbage and wasnt wowed by it. My pasta-loving daughter ordered the Alps Kasspatzen and loved it. We ordered the baklava to share and wished we didnt. It was cloyingly sweet and soggy. It was a fun adventure, but one we most likely will not repeat.

Great food! Great atmosphere! Great staff!Heard this restaurant made national news as one of the best! Was not disappointed. Z came in w some great recommendations, from the pear blossom martini, cucumber salad, to all of our entrees. The staff works together, and it was a buzzing, yet relaxing environment. Would highly recommend!

Very good food here, the paprika schnitzel or they call it gypsy schnitzel was amazing, as well as the jager schnitzel. only complaint would be the super bright light above the bar it needs to be changed out for something softer, it was pretty obnoxiously bright and I promise no one wants to sit at a bar with a flashlight in their face. other than that it was awesome and It’s great they have german beer too.

I love local restaurants, and this is one of them! The Alps restaurant serves a lot of traditional German, Swedish, and Swiss dishes. They may not be exactly what we have in Switzerland, but close enough! If it is your first time, you obviously have to try the schnitzel. Three great variations.Be sure to make reservations, they fill up very quickly during the season.

OH EM GEE! This place is SO SCRUMCIOUS!!! We had the BEST server and her name was ZEE! She recommended all of these dishes and they were SPOT ON! We had the best experience here and cannot wait to come back with our daughter. This is a family run restaurant and they certainly know what they are doing here. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! This is a great family-run operation. Authentic German cuisine served up right, with nice fresh German beers on tap... and one IPA. Greeted with a smile, hellos from the staff on our way to the table. Not rushed, but food came out fast and hot. Great recommendations from our waitress. All staff are very attentive and friendly. They do quite a business here. I recommend reservations.

My family is Swiss/German so we know good Bavarian food. The food is pretty good, not amazing but good. We arrived at 4pm and we told we needed reservations which seemed odd that early and with so many open tables... but the owner finally said he could sear us outside (it was cold) but he would turn on a heater... it never quite got warm enough. We ate with our jackets on. The server was awesome and very friendly. But I have to say...we will not be back because it was over $200 for 4 of us. This place is super expensive.

What an amazing spot. Not fancy but great atmosphere. The service was so awesome...any weird requests we made were greeted with a smile and a happy to do it. The cucumber salad was so flavorful and fresh tasting. The beet salad was huge and so yummy, generous amounts of feta and beets and walnuts. We totally changed the sides and sauces with our schnitzel orders with no problem or eye rolling. The schnitzels we got arent the platter size ones you sometimes get, but so flavorful and the lemon caper sauce, the mushroom sauce and the cranberry sauce were all great additions to the pork schnitzel we ordered. If you are confused about ripped potatoes on the menu... dont think...just get them! Wanted to add to my review ..the kraut was more like cooked cabbage...not as vinegary as we expected...also the onion rings at the next table looked amazing!

As a surrogate German, I approve. The menu is a bit more Eastern European rather than true Deutsche but it’s awesome. I went with your basic schnitzel with spaetzle which I think they make in house. They could do better with the red sauerkraut recipe. All exactly what you would expect in the foothills of Bavaria, with the German biers on tap. It’s got a good vibe, the service really try’s to make you feel appreciated and it was a great experience. And Oktoberfest is coming up!

This place is a gem. From the frosty pints to the home made sauerkraut, it brought back memories of visiting a German brewhaus. This is a family owned and operated business with Mama Milka in the kitchen. We had very attentive service, although it was quite busy. Get here early as people pile in!

One of my favorite places to go when Im in town. Steins of beer and schnitzel for dinner. Love the Octoberfest pretzels when they have them. Great service as well!Best brunch we have had in a long time. We love this place for its excellent German food so when they started brunch we knew we would have to try it.Such a great spread, solid menu and great service. We loved the menu options and tried pancakes, sausage eggs Benedict, fruit and a sausage on the side. My husband loves the jagger sauce and asked to have that instead of Hollandaise on the eggs which was great. As always, service was warm and friendly. The bloody Marys and food is just what we needed to start the day.

Good German, mostly Bavarian food. Its been good, but not great food. Schnitzel could be pounded out a little more, but still delicious. I prefer the Jàgerschnitzel. Very good spaetzle.If they have the house made cheesecake, give it a try. New York style. Very rich and absolutely delicious!Service was excellent and friendly. Atmosphere is OK, but the place was a western bar before Alps opened and it still looks like it. Slightly odd vibe.

A very nice Bavarian restaurant with an excellent snitzel selection. The service is friendly and they have a nice list of harder to find German beers on tap. It is a tad pricy and you are looking about 35- 50 dollars per person.

We really like Alps. Great Beer Pretzels and Schnitzels !Schnitzel al Holstein with the Fried egg is Awesome.But we often get Skinny Schnitzel and have them top with an egg.Spaghetti Bolognese is rich and decadent.The cheese butter is oh so good.And best of all is Blanka.Owners pour their heart and sole into this place.

Very generous portions for a reasonable cost. Big draught beers are BIG. Like 30oz for $15 of imported German beer. Their selection is barebones right now due to COVID-19 import problems, but that they do have is great. Really rich, bold, and smooth dark lager; a very refreshing, crisp, and tart pilsner. The schnitzels are delicious and tender. Apps are awesome, too. Their pretzel tastes great even as is, and the fondue is particularly delicious. I dont know what exactly they use, but it tastes like smoked Gouda. The servers and staff are polite and very friendly. If youre looking for a relaxed place where you can chill out, have a nice drink, and spend time with good company, I highly recommend this place.

We came during the pandemic and they had outdoor seating with heat lamps. The restaurant it self was located in a mall but was nicely decorated with plenty of parking.The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and attentive. If I am ever back in the area I would definitely be back.

We had reservations for 10 people at 6:00. People ahead of us with no reservations went in. We finally got a drink at 7:00 sitting very cozy at a table for 6.Unacceptable.The food was okay and beer was good but greed to fill the place was apparent. Why make a reservation if you have no intentions on looking after your customers? Ten people will obviously spent lots.No concessions were made to appease the lengthy delay. Greedy.Sorry, you wont see me back

Pricier than I remember but everything was delicious. Loved the spicy lamb sausage and jagerschnitzel with spaztel. Was also glad they had high chairs available! They do take reservations and it was pretty busy on a Saturday night but we didnt have to wait. Theres only one restroom so keep that in mind when youre ordering litres of beer!

My first time here so I got the Sampler which has a bit of everything. Overall good German food though our waitress was not helpful regarding any modifications to the sides offered with the plates. The best was the smoked bratwurst and ripped potatoes - absolutely delicious! The pork Wienerschnitzel was good but not super. I am not a fan of Spatzel with nutmeg so that was a loss. The beef cordon bleu was also worth a repeat Nice selection of central European beers to complement your meal.

My parents have been coming here for quite a while, and have been raving about their food. I finally had a chance to join them, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is very cute. Its kind of rustic Western meets the Alps. The food was delicious! I had the Jaeger Schnitzel and loved it so much! Their spaeztel is a little bit more seasoned than Im used to but it was very tasty as well! The service was great. I will definitely be going here again!

Alps Village is an interesting fusion of German and Balkan cuisine. Its in a non-descript strip mall so youd never suspect its so special. The family owners are friendly and get to know you if youre a regular -- and its crowded with a lot of regulars.They have Spaetzle, Chicken Sschnitzel and many other great foods. I enjoyed the Jaegerschnitzel very much.

Alps Village did not disappoint! Ive been searching for anyone who can make goulash or stuffed cabbage like my gramma did. I miss her and the comfort of her cooking that brought the family together. Alps Village hit the bullseye! I had goulash soup and a half order of stuffed cabage with spaetzle. My husband had weinersnichel. I was hopeful they may be able to replicate maybe one of the dishes, but all three dishes were spot on! We will be returning soon.

I ordered Alps Kaspaten for delivery, and all I can say is WOW! Ive never had this dish before, so I dont have a basis of comparison. But its like a unique twist on the best Mac and Cheese Ive ever had. It was amazing! So flavorful and yummy! Its very rich, so I have plenty for left overs for several days. But Ill definitely get this again. I also ordered a side of olives and they were really good and a nice surprise was that they were all pitted. I was underwhelmed by the Apple Strudel. It was tasty, but came cold. Im guessing that in the restaurant they would heat it up. Im sure it would be much better that way. But Im willing to overlook that and will be dining here again based on the main dish. I cant wait to try their other dishes.

The place is on the smaller side, but well worth the small walking spaces. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.We order the sausage platter as an appetizer, they only had one kind of sausage left, it was delicious. I had the cabbage stuffed rolls with mash potatoes, delicious. The rest of my party order the goulash, very good; a sampler, and the schnitzel smothered with mushroom gravy/sauce, also delicious.They also have lighter dishes, salads, pizzas, and even vegetarian & vegan. Not sure where to start, everything about this restaurant is amazing! I came for my third time tonight. Had the Alps Schnitzel and it was so good! I have also had their Jaeger schnitzel (which is equally amazing) and their apple streusel each twice! I cant say enough about the friendliness of the staff here. I was greeted at the door by the owners who also waited our table. The food was delivered quickly, food was hot, fresh and everything has so much flavor! I used to live in Germany in the 80s and I travel for a living and this is hands down the best German food Ive had! I will absolutely be coming back to try more of their menu items and I will bring as many friends and family as I can! Thanks for the good time and the amazing food!

We came here for dinner for our last night in Palm Springs and it was delicious!!! We all got schnitzel and all 3 were amazing! We also got a side of the red cabbage and it was unreal! The food was delicious… we had made a reservation online the day before but had to wait for 1/2 hour to get a table because it was chilly and everyone who reserved tables outside were accommodated inside. Once we ate our dinner we were informed that because we were a group of 6 at a table they automatically added on a 20% tip, even though we were actually 3 groups of 2. We felt that this wasn’t appropriate and that we should have been informed before we ordered. That was a let down to an enjoyable evening.

This is our ‘go to’ place for great German food. Their spaetzle is the best. And all of their traditional dishes are great with full flavors. We always take visitors here, and the food is more authentic than any of the ‘German’ restaurants in German Village (Columbus).

Best German food around. Love the atmosphere in this place. It is rustic but feels so homey. Our waitress was great! We never had to ask for things, she was always ready to help. I gave it 4 stars only because of the dessert. Another server told us they had German chocolate cake. We ordered that but what we got was a big slice of a layered chocolate cake thar had chocolate sauce on top of it. It was not German Chocolate cake and unfortunately the cake layers were dry. Just a fluke I am sure. They have a lot more on the menu but you have to try the schnitzel for sure. Excellent!

We had the best experience at Alps Village! We walked in on a Monday night at 6:10pm and every single table was taken and a wait list was started and we can see why :) The food was excellent, the service was second to none, the people were so kind and understanding. We booked a reservation for Tuesday night because we didnt want to miss out, and I highly recommend doing a reservation. Do not miss the smoked Bratwurst-- made in house and the best weve ever had! The combo plates are definitely the way to go so that you can sample everything.

After a 5 hour drive we arrived in Palm Desert tired and hungry. Very hungry. We found this charming restaurant, and decided to give it a try. We sat on the patio with our little dog. The menu has so many wonderful choices. I had veal snitzel with spaezel. My husband had the stuffed cabbage with mashed potatoes. I ordered a side of red cabbage. Dinner was fabulous! We cleaned our plates. And then we topped it off with warm homemade Apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. And decaf lattes. We were so full, and so happy. The waitress and servers were great. The food was decent, but not spectacular. Cabbage rolls were meaty, sausage platter was a generous portion, fondue was a bit thin - but tasted fine. Service was lackluster and there seem to be a lot of rules (cant order an appetizer size salad unless youre ordering an entree, for example). We asked if the fondue could be just bread instead of potatoes, broccoli and bread and what was delivered was a tiny portion of bread. When we asked for more (over half the fondue was left), a slice of bread was delivered ... and $1 was added to the check. I hear the beers are big (we didnt order any) and it is a unique choice in the area ... but didnt live up to the hype as far as Im concerned.

This is a great restaurant with hearty Croatian and German food. Very nice family oriented restaurant but also fun for couples and those while to sit at the bar watching sports. The service is excellent with a super friendly staff; always eager to please. They even stayed open past their time to accommodate my husband who is a chef and arrived a bit late, and this with a smile. The food is very good and I recommend the sausages as their are homemade. This is a family owned restaurant and their welcoming personality makes it a pleasure to dine there. We have a daughter with Downs Syndrome who is always treated like a queen there!

Great German food! However, they do not understand the reservation system at all there. Pull in front of us had reservations for a high top and they ended up having to sit outside. We had reservations for four people and they tried to set aside a table for two people. Our reservation was for inside. We ended up having to sit outside In order to get a table that would save all four of us. Why bother to have a reservation system if you don’t pay any attention to it?

First time here with family members for my Fathers 63rd Birthday gathering. Definitely a solid experience. We enjoy German cuisine! Service very good last night on Monday and place was packed. We made reservations which I read is a good idea. Frankizaner and Hofbrau beer on point! Goulash fries are a must have they went FAST! The goulash plate itself worth every penny according to my wife! I heard the schnitzel was decent by two at our table but not outstanding. I had the cordon bleu and it was good! Apparently the fish and chips are not to be missed per my relative that joined us. Spaetzle was just bland and not a favorite.A little too noisy inside good luck trying to have a conversation. Ill sit outside next time. Like the cool decor inside. Staff helpful and nice. But overall yes a good place a little pricey for those that care. $165 for 4 entrees and two beers.

We are Germans. We found the food to be unacceptable as far as quality goes. It appeared to be warmed up food, microwaved and possible deep fried meat. After arrival, it took about 10 min to order one beer, order food, food was also served within that timeframe. We Even have to send it back, because all of it was nearly cold .If you are looking for true German food this is not the place to go.PS: by the way Noone in this place speaks German :)If you never tasted the real authentic food, you just would not be able to compare.

Service was prompt and friendly, yet our waitress didnt expect the honesty on one item in particular, she was fun. Another waiter did ask which of the Sample plater our favorite was and we confirmed that as for the cabbage soup its outstanding. The Veal Schnitzel as well as the smoked sausage deserve honorable mention. Neither of us found the red cabbage, sauerkraut to be tasty and the spaetzle vwere not good. Stuffed cabbage rolls was too greasy for us. Mashed potatoes nice and lifght, the roasted potatoes excellent. We went after lunch had ended so some of it was expected from in-between shifts. We both however agree it was a great experience and will be back... Thank you.On a side note, the pricing is confusing, the Soup was served in a single bowl, so beware of that, not everyone is comfy sharing especially on a first date a soup like this. Service was excellent. Menu has changed from last season. Portion size is smaller (which is maybe a good thing). We ordered Jaegerschnitzel which was very good, like before, but about half the size and maybe a few bucks cheaper. We also ordered the Käsespätzle which was just OK. We were in Austria this summer, so we have an idea of what it is supposed to taste like. The primary flavor in the authentic version is cheese. The dish from Alps Village did not have this same flavor. It mostly tasted of onion. We ordered bacon for $2. This was the worst part of the dish. Both the onion and the bacon tasted like they were air popped. This probably lowered the number of calories but changed the taste for the worse.

Please, for the sake of your taste buds, try it.The Alps Kasspatzen- 3 letters can sum it up. OMG. Its like Mac and Cheese meets awesome and grows up... But kids love it too.The wienerschnitzel and jaegerschnitzel are amazing, though my preference leans toward the lemon of the wienerschnitzel.I will leave you with a fair warning about the desserts: if you like them super sweet, be wary. The baklava has a wonderful sweetness, but let me tell you about their Alps White Cream Cake:It is not sweet, not in the same way we Americans like our desserts. This cake is my favorite cake that Ive gotten from a restaurant. I was expecting sweet, so my first bite wasnt great, but there is so much depth of flavor that I taste when I eat it. Quaint restaurant with pleasant servers. The pretzel comes with a creamy cheese which tastes of butter and cream cheese. Do yourself a favor and try the curry ketchup while you are here as well!
