Paul is a savant of computer repair. I have had him service my personal and my work laptop on two separate occasions and he has come through quickly (same day) and thoroughly. He explained what happened and why both times. In an era where local computer shops are disappearing, online tech support is highly scripted, and the Best Buy /Apple store repair guys only know the basics, Paul is a lifesaver. 100% highly recommend.

Yes its all true, Pauls a great, honest, brilliant, kind gentleman, who sure knows his business. Paul seemed to enjoy the nearly impossible challenge of recovering info from our dinosaur laptop, explained the process and provided all the solutions available. He was very clear and fair on price and not only did he restore, fix, upgrade and clean our laptop up, he also surprised me with a battery at no extra charge. I was an out-of-town visitor and ran into a hard drive problem on my laptop. After an unsatisfactory attempt at using Best Buy Geek Squad services (they were more interested in signing me up to a support contract than looking at my problem), I took a chance on contacting Alpha Computer Support, based on its Google reviews. It turned out to be a great decision. Paul Meyer of Alpha was extremely responsive, gracious, knowledgeable, methodical, and generous with his time and advice. I would absolutely use him again.

This is a long overdue review for Alpha Computer support or as he is programmed in my phone: Paul my computer guy! I have been using Pauls services for the last 4+ years. Paul is highly responsive, extremely knowledgeable and more that fair on his fee!He runs his business with integrity and fairness and I wouldnt call anyone else!

Paul is fantastic. As a new online business based in Hermosa Beach I need to have a functioning laptop at all times. For some reason and despite my hours of trying to fix the problem my laptop wasnt connecting to the internet.I looked up Paul on my phone and drove to his place in a panic. I hadnt called prior and he had other clients but by the end of day he had fixed my problem.Paul is very calm and professional and the prices are reasonable. He came to my home office to complete the task and he was very thorough as he fixed some other little bugs that he noticed as well. His dedication to getting me back online was great as he was still working at 7pm so I could be ready and running the next day.Highly recommend!

5.0 star rating 2/21/2019New Years Day, I shut down my 8 year old HP Desktop computer and left the house to enjoy a party at a friends house. The good feelings for the new year ended the next morning when I tried to start my computer. D-e-a-d dead. No lights, no hard drive activity, no fans sound---nothing. And I was in the middle of recording holiday time donations made to the dog rescue non-profit org to which I belong. After I recovered from panicking, I went online with another PC to look for computer repair near me (my previous computer guy had moved to Colorado, so he would be of no help with what was likely a hardware issue). I read the superlative Yelp reviews for Paul, owner of Alpha Computer Support, so I gave him a call. He said that he could come over later that afternoon to take a look. After discussing the problem, we both figured the computer would need to go into the shop. Rather than wait hours, I drove right over to Pauls and left my computer there. By that evening, the computer was working but Paul said he wanted to keep it till the next morning. Sure enough, it would not boot---dead again. Paul said the problem was most likely the power supply, but it could be the motherboard. Pauls advice was to spend under $200 to replace the power supply but not to put any more money into repairing an 8 year old PC if that didnt solve the problem. Paul ordered and installed a new, more powerful power supply unit, then kept the computer for 2 more days to be sure it would start each morning and evening before returning it to me. That was 2 months ago, and my computer has been booting fine each and every time I press the start button. It also has been running cooler thanks to the upgraded power supply and fan that Paul installed. Thank you, Paul. Expert service and reasonable pricing for the work done. Andrew Lesser, M.D.

Paul not only has the technical know how but he has a sincere interest in crafting the best and most reliable system to meet your business needs. Im a writer who cant afford to have my system fail, EVER!! Were talking about my entire portfolio and my master accounts and invoicing system. Let alone articles I have saved for ideas and inspiration over the years. Alpha replaced my old, slow system, got everything backed up and fail safe so I can breathe easy again! Alpha has proven to be my ever ready IT staff in one!

I was having issues with my MacBook Pro and didn’t know what to do. I contacted Paul meet with him and I had my computer back within a few days. Paul fixed the problem that I was having. This has been the best computer repair experience. I will continue to support Paul whenever I have computer problems.
