I stayed here back in April for a few days while I was in San Jose for dance. It was clean, and the hot tub was great, especially after a three hour instructor class. Close to restaurants and coffee shops. Close walk to Starbucks down the way, and other restaurants the other way, which I could walk to. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to San Jose.

This review is solely for Jesus at the front desk. He is fantastic and has helped me over the phone a couple of different times with some different requests before our stay in July. I really appreciate his patience and communication and following through on what he said he was going to do we look forward to staying there in July for my birthday with my mom and sisters and I’m sure the hotel will live up to the five stars. I’m giving it now!

Stayed for a week on a business trip. The hotel was nice. My room was comfy. The staff was friendly. Breakfast options were limited but the items I ordered were very good! I was greeted by Maria every AM at the hotels bar where you could order breakfast. Such a sweet person who cared about making a positive impact on a customers stay. Then there was Derrick (sp?), the bartender: cool cat! Lighting up the outside fire pit for us to chill by at the end of a work day was awesome! He was so attentive & just all-around a nice guy! Overall, it was a good stay & Id come back.

This is a hidden gem in South Bay.Very close to the San Jose Airport (10-14 minutes) and right off I-280 and close to many amenities.They are not overpriced like other, nearby properties and have friendly staff, including Derrick at the wxyz bar.Best part -- they still have daily housekeeping and you dont have to ask for it....or beg for it as with other chain hotels. And....wait for it....complimentary parking on many rate types!This place is worth staying even if it adds a few extra minutes to work while in the area.

My room had ants, and be aware of the additional charges to your room. There is a TakeCare Relief fee of $3.00 daily and additonal tax abbreviation that we have no clue about. My room had a bad smell coming in.

They double charged for accidentals which I understand is a placeholder but the amount is still temporarily deducted from your credit card and it caused my cc to max out. I wasn’t able to pay for dinner that night and it put me in a rough spot as a solo female traveler trying to see my family over the holiday. ANYWAYS I asked the front desk and supervisors to refund one of the $150 charges and they all said there is nothing they could do and to just wait and that they only see one charge on their end and we’re just not compassionate to my situation at all.I can’t speak negatively to the room. It was comfortable and clean and I definitely learned my lesson on travel prep for a scenario like this. It just super sucks when there is no compassion or response for situations like this that was their fault. Just a big ole SOL response :(

We had an uncomfortable experience during our stay at Aloft San Jose Cupertino. The key machine wasnt working so every time we wanted to access our room, we had to get someone from the front desk to open the door for us (and other guests). Thankfully we were only staying one night, but this inconvenience made for a very disappointing stay, and, though I dont put any of the blame on the staff, it was not a good experience to stay at this hotel overall.Also, they did not have any individual-sized shampoo, conditioner, or body wash so we had to use the provided bar soap for everything, since the large shared bottles were removable and able to be tampered with by other guests.

Hotel is cute and comfortable. The room, we had, is big enough. The staff is friendly. There is a big bar next to the pool. There is gym and conference hall. The hotel is clean and shine, the parking lot is quite big. It stays not far away from the center and from malls and restaurants. Even there is a billiard.

I love the hardwood floor in this hotel, the breakfast is also great. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Location is great, only thing to be aware is the air conditioner is a bit noisy for my room, but otherwise it’s great.

I recently used their meeting room for a birthday party and I have to say everything was perfect! Front desk was very nice and helpful and so was maintenance and the bar tender. The lobby was extremely nice and very clean. Bathrooms were very clean and easy access. I definitely recommend this hotel. They made it so easy for me especially being that I’m on crutches. Definitely would recommend and will be coming back for sure!

We had a great experience at the hotel. After a very stressful, trying day, we stopped at Aloft on our trip down the California coast.Ryan at the front desk and Derek in the bar were phenomenal and really helped make a bad day better. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable, but may be missing some amenities that other hotels in their price range offer. Since we were just passing through for one night we didnt get to try out the pool or hot tub, but they looked clean and had a nice area to relax in.

Sad experience, i made a reservation for two rooms. I am a gold elite. I checked in early, to be told that I cannot get two double rooms as I requested and I cannot get a room upgrade. I was charged $282 each room accidental for one night stay :)Went from a typical experience of getting connected rooms to you should be thankful that you still have a room to give you.

I stayed at this hotel with my bf for 1 week. The hotel is new, clean and the staff is very friendly, specially MARIA at the restaurant, she’s a sweetheart and her food is amazing! She treated us like family and gave us great recommendations for getting around.The only downside I’d say is the first room we had on the 1st floor in front of the pool was too noisy but when they switched us to the 2nd floor was great!!I’d definitely stay again here and I recommend it!

Very clean, nice modern feel, great pool and hot tub. Pool open but you had to make reservations. They are for one hour but you can ask to extend and they are flexible. The pool area is so nice!Great staff! Except sometimes getting a hold of the front desk was hard.NO MICROWAVES in the whole property.NO ROLL AWAY BEDS either.The coffee in the lobby was really bad :(We had a really really great stay! Ok so I expect much more from a Marriott property. I had to ask for room housekeeping. The bar literally ran out of alcohol. The facilities like elevator hallways and such were a bit beat up. Finally the location is not in the best location, a bit dodgy if you ask me.The saving grace was the bartender who was AWESOME and the bar is definitely worth a visit

After driving for 3 hours and being greeted like this, I was now disappointed and exhausted. I had to find another hotel to stay at while sitting in their parking lot. I like it. I’m a bit too accustomed to full service hotels. For me it was not convenient to anything except the freeway. Staff are super pleasant. Great coffee across the street at Coffee and Water Lab. Next time I’ll stay closer to Pruneyard or someplace with walk-ability.

This hotel oozes the Aloft brand, which is what I love when traveling. The staff seems to work well together because they were smiling and wanted to greet you to your room as soon as possible. The rooms are well-appointed with large comfy beds and spacious bathrooms. The gym is perfect when on the road. The best part is the beautiful pool and hot tub grounds. This pool even hosts parties on weekends. We arrived during a party and it was perfect. There are a plethora of restaurants in the area and lots of places to grab a drink nearby. Overall, the location is situated better than those in downtown San Jose. A huge plus is the free parking. I love this hotel and choose it when visiting the area.

We stayed at this hotel because it was close to Kaiser because we thought we were going to get some peace and quiet after a very stressful day after being up after a relative had heart surgery. We ended up with a room full of party goers extremely loud. Didn’t know they rented rooms for partying nowadays. Definitely won’t be staying here in the future!

We had a great time at the Aloft. The hotel is very modern and tech forward. The rooms were all set up with Apple air play for the TV. The bar was awesome. Derrick the bartender was super welcoming and nice. They had a really nice pool area with cabanas. We will definitely stay here again when we come to the area.

Stayed for 1 night and they upgraded me to a deluxe room because of my SPG platinum status. Room was clean, big, modern and no fuss, which is what I love about the Aloft brand. Lobby area bar was lively which is what youd expect, and price was reasonable compared to other Bay Area hotels. Plenty of parking next to hotel too, and shops and conveniently located nearby. Will definitely come back again!

It was an added bonus to have access to the USB chargers - This made charging my phone super easy to do. Wish they did a continental breakfast, but at the price-point and awesome rooms I have to say I was impressed. Cant wait for our next Aloft hotel stay!

The staff was so friendly when we arrived, explained the covid guidelines and check in instructions but then the next day I see my card was pending with a transaction almost double what I was estimated to actually pay. I was told I was paying just the deposit with my debit card and that Expedia was handling the rest, even though I requested to pay upon arrival. I was like okay and it was no problem, then I see the pending transaction and message the hotel. They said the manager would discuss the discrepancy with me in the morning upon check out, no manager was around when we left. I gave my name and number and requested a call back since no one else seems to be able to explain the discrepancy to me. Never got a call. Was sent a receipt to my email twice as if that should explain it all, even though my bank account reflected differently. Finally my bank account has cleared with the correct amount but the entire situation sketched me out and the fact that the manager never reached out to me thinks there is something wrong with this situation. Most likely won’t stay at an Aloft hotel again.. too bad. The room was okay even though we had no extra towels or blankets for our two night stay, we were stocked for one night tops, and we couldn’t turn the tv past 30 and the window only barely cracks open and you can set the water as hot as possible and its still cold until it’s warmed up like ten to fifteen minutes. I did appreciate the recycling bin though and a check out time at noon was nice to be able to sleep in! Restaurant isn’t open yet either

I was here just for a night and was hoping for a good night sleep, that’s all I wanted. Somewhere near my room was a group of people that were partying all night long. The music was so loud and I could hear people talking and laughing all night. I called the front desk around 12:45am when I finally just couldn’t take it anymore. I had to call from my cell phone because my room phone wasn’t working. The agent at the front desk said he would go look into it. I finally put in headphones and tried to go to sleep. Woke up about 3am with the same loud music and noise and again at 4 and even at 5:45am. I know I wasn’t the only one who heard it and am frustrated that more wasn’t done to stop it. I had no other issues at all besides that. Hotel was great, room was great, front desk staff was very nice. As a platinum elite member we stay almost exclusively at Marriott properties and expected a little more.

When we arrived the first impression was wow so cool lobby and bar area are really sweet and I want to hang out here (but bar covid closed) then the girl behind the desk was super nice and awesome personality. Got a view of pool area, nice. And the king room with sofa is comfortable and stylish I wish we were staying longer. Got into room and there was no hand soap in dispenser, lights over sink didn’t turn on, light over desk was flickering, door handle on bathroom door was loose and bed was super hard in middle and indented on ends where people usually sleep. The front desk upgraded our room for free since he was on the phone when we walked up to check in and had to wait about 30 seconds, so not a big deal to us, but we definitely appreciated the extra customer service.

This small inappropriation was relayed to management and rectified with a complimentary breakfast and a kind apology. I was assured that the employee has actually since resigned.The manager, Andy was very pleasant and pet friendly which we love! Possible upgrade would be to invest in some bed pads to soften the mattresses, quite stiff but many hotels have mattress padding to rectify the situation.Other things to rave over, the man who serves breakfast is a sweetheart. The pool area looked very inviting, the gym is so well stocked they even has complimentary headphones incase you leave yours home (which I incidentally did). Great place very clean and well staffed, stocked with all you could need. Had a headache and the front desk even gave me asprin.👍👏

This is an independent luxury hotel that my company books when we have a big group meeting. I like the room amenities and the fact that there is a nice restaurant/bar in the lobby. Rooms were modern and really inviting.The breakfast is very nice and the staff goes out of their way to help with group events. There are a few common areas that are nice for hanging out in small groups. I had a nice stay and wish they had some sort of useful rewards program.

I am a Veteran and a Tax Payer.The hotel (A Marriott affiliate) charged me for incidentals 2 times and and didnt not adjust the charges. They also charged me an extra $50 for an early check in fee. I was charged $587 for 2 night stay instead of $273. When I checked and received my room key. The next day I went to pick up food. I used my room key to come in the hotel (Thats how its set up, I guess to keep the homeless and undesirables out) and the front desk guy questioned me. (I WONDER WHY?!) The woman on morning shift couldnt explain why there was extra charges on my account. The afternoon guy couldnt print out a screen shot of my charges because she said he cant. As I was was trying to reason with the front desk guy another Melanated person said he had to file a complaint because he was checked into a dirty room...Marriott I really hope that there us no funny business going on here...Worst Decision Ever! Poorly trained staff and bad energy around that place. NEVER AGAIN!

Nice hotel.....offered discount price due to construction. Construction was not an issue for us during our stay, however, the person next door to us using their speaker phone and having an extremely noisy conversation at 7:30 in the morning was. Floors are made of some type of wood/composite material that is loud when people walk on with any type of heel. Overall though the hotel was very clean, staff was very nice and helpful. Bar and restaurant were unavailable due to construction.

This hotel was clean and quiet hotel with up-to-date amenities. The pool and Jacuzzi was a highlight of my trip to aloft. There was no carpeting in the rooms, which made it seem more sanitary but definitely not homey, I would recommend the hotel to maybe provide a medium size bathroom carpet/mat. The TV was 50+ inches :) A plus, for my gamer boyfriend. I would also like to give a shout out to our bartender Karina, she really knew her stuff and was very helpful and entertaining. She was awesome real and professional ! :) We will definitely be coming back more often.

Stayed here for a night while attending a concert at Levi stadium. Its not that close to the stadium, but that actually made it better because it was less crazy. Breakfast was excellent at the hotel. I checked in to spend 1 night and was told I would be charged more because of the time I was checking in . Which came out to $192 I agreed and paid. The next morning I went to check out on time before 12pm I was charged another $150 . I called to get this cleared up and the guy who claimed to be the manager was giving me the run around about who I can talk to and told me the computer charges automatically I dont recommend coming here make sure to check your charges as they try to sneak them in and tell you that they dont have any control of what the computer does. I was in town for a getaway with my girlfriend but we both left getting cheated/robbed by this hotel

We stayed for a single night in December 2021, and I regretted our choice from the time of check-in. I was questioned extensively and aggressively by an east-indian man whose poor english was difficult to understand. The faulty elevator controls combined with prison-like door locks at many entrances made for an uneasy feeling. But, my patience was really tested when I went into their dining area for breakfast and learned they had no orange juice.

Paper thin walls means you can hear all of your neighbors all night and the maids first thing in the morning. Its also pretty close to the 280 freeway, so theres road noise. I HATE when hotels try to save money and use 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner. If youre like me, youll want to make sure you bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The location is great for getting anywhere you need to be quickly. The finishes in the rooms are nice and there are large televisions + a couch with a sitting area in the room. The king size bed is firm (too firm for my liking), but the pillows are nice and plush. The hotel bar doesnt open until 5PM and closes at 10PM. They also dont have standards like Coors Light, Bud Light, or Miller Light. They do have a nice selection of Japanese whiskys though. Overall its a nice hotel, but not really worth the price.Pro-tip: Theres a taco truck that sets up Friday & Saturday nights in the parking lot across the street (next to the shell). Get the carne asada tacos + green sauce.

I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago because my family was celebrating my sons birthday weekend. We got stuck in the elevator 3 times and had to call the front desk for help by pressing a button inside of the elevator. The girl at the front desk was rude and acted like he didn’t believe us. We had to use the stairs because we didn’t want to get stuck anymore. I called to speak to a manager afterwards and a guy at the front desk who wasn’t helpful at all said he would have the manager call me, but they never called me back. I was hoping for some type of professional outcome here but got none. Don’t stay here if you wanna have a good time.

When I checked in during peak time no was even at the desk and when she came out it was like I was bothering her do you need something? Uh yes, to check in. I tried to switch rooms because of the ridiculous noise housekeeping made (right next door to me) and they said they tried to contact me and blamed me for not making the switch because I wasnt sitting in the hotel room all day waiting for them yet they did not even call or email me while I was in meetings, the lady was so nasty. Newly renovated hotel that used to be a Four Points by Sheraton. The room I had was huge, bigger than any other aloft I had stayed in. I also had a huge TV that was probably about 50. I was given a voucher for free breakfast as a platinum member while still awarded bonus points. Overall a nice stay, I would definitely come back again.

Bit of an odd location but the Mitsuwa across the street was a wonderful surprise. Rooms are very comfortable, showers were much nicer than other Alofts, and there was next to no sound from other rooms which was great. Would stay there again anytime.

The building is old and so is the carpeting and the plumbery and the hotel needs renovation but hey, if you are looking for a quiet place not very far from the city and enjoy your stay, go for it.

The internet was incredibly bad I could not even open any page. We had 1 king bad and 1 sofa bad. The sofa bad was terrible, springs were so hard and I could not sleep the whole night because of it. Also when we ask front desk for a blanket they said they can not give it to us. So far the worst hotel I ever stayed at.

If you are looking for customer service, this place is the bomb! Free wine every night. Complimentary drinks out of the refrigerator and cookies and milk at night. The bartender was exceptional and so was the rest of the staff. The location is close to the Winchester Mystery house.

I have to say after being at other Aloft properties I had high hopes for this one...however it really missed the mark. This was probably the least attractive aloft hotel I’ve seen. It seemed as if they took an old hotel and re did the rooms and tried to make it a higher end place. At other Aloft hotels the WXYZ bar is great. Here...it is a tiny little place that was closed 2 out of the 3 nights we were here. Nothing special about this place. And the walls were soooo thin we were on the top floor and heard every single conversation at the pool until late and heard every word from our neighbors. And don’t even try to drown it out with the AC because the fan never runs.

It is a motel which provides good service to try and mitigate the fact that its location is terrible - no one would go for a walk around the hotel to enjoy the neighborhood - and that the rooms are pretty old and shabby.

The hotel itself was fine, but certainly not the nicest Aloft Ive stayed at. This is also the first Aloft Ive stayed at that had basically no food option. They offer a few snacks at the bar but Im not the bar type. No in room dining of any kind. They have a small pantry shop that was pathetic at best. There were a few snack items and one lonely and decrepit looking Stouffers Salsbury Steak option in the freezer (really?!). My work travel is exhausting and having no food option when I check in and need to crash it a really disappointing discovery. I ultimately had to trek two miles away to a Safeway to find food. I picked up a microwave meal that when I got back to the hotel, had to microwave downstairs in the lobby because there is no micro in the room. I felt like I was in some random travelodge. I certainly wont be back to this Aloft.
