One word comes to mind: HONESTY!! I really appreciate the integrity of Brad the owner & Kevin, the service techs who came out. We had another company visit before, and the owner of the other company tried to upsell us on an entire new garage system, which raised a big red flag for me. I immediately searched for another company, and this one came up. Im so glad I trusted my intuition! It turns out, we didn’t need a new system at all—just a loose wire that Kevin fixed. Kevin could have charged me for a new system but he didnt, I would have never known it was only a loose wire. I highly recommend this company without reservations.

Kevin did an outstanding job! From coming out to give us a quote, to showing up on time the day of installation, and finally doing the job quickly and leaving the area cleaner than when he started. Kevin arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time. He explained the remedy for my torsion spring issue and also told me about any other possible problems he might find. He replaced the springs in record time and told me the other issues did not have to be remedied at this time. I really appreciate his honesty. The invoice was also less than originally quoted since he did not need to replace my springs with heavier duty ones. I love hiring local vendors and highly recommend Brad and his team.

Alliance Overhead Door is an amazing company that we have used twice now, they have added new features to our garage door and even responded to our emergency call when the 22 yea le old spring decided to break and make our garage door inoperable. Company appeared professional. Courteous on the phone, and will keep their time. That said, I have a hard time writing anything better about their business.Some background. Our garage had a bad room addition (that was already there when we bough the house) and so the opener was never used. Also it had no remotes and the closing sensors were broken. However the switch would still open it and close it if held down. Because of the room, the opener was never used. Recently we had that room demolished. After that demolition the opener stopped working completely. I called our warranty company and they sent a tech who correctly diagnosed the problem as a broken wire from the switch but they would not fix it since it was secondary damage.I called AOD, they sent their tech next day. The tech they could not even diagnose the problem. I told him the previous tech was able to turn the motor by somehow bypassing the switch. He would not even try, and just insisted I needed a replacement. He took $95 for a five minute show and to upsell me a motor. Worse he said he could not honor the $95 towards a new install if I called next day. $95 to some comes easy I guess!I called another reputable company in Simi and they told me the same thing the first tech told me - broken wire. He tested his guess and replaced the wire for free and showed it worked. he then greased the rollers and the track. He did advise that I needed new sensors. Also I had no remotes. Overall he said I may be better off replacing the motor, because the costs were adding up and it was not worth getting all of the accessories for an old one. I trusted him because he diagnosed and fixed the issue before suggesting replacing the motor.Back to AOD, I have a hard time trusting their ability. Also it is a bad business - $95 for a visit to just tell me I need a new motor? And then not even honoring that the next day? Hec, even bad plumbers would honor credit for such diagnostic fee. As for insisting on a new opener - Any fool could do that - of course it is easy to say replace it when something does not work. Show that you know what the problem is at least.I do not recommend this company to anyone. There are other better ones.

Tech did a Good Job here ( sounds so, so far ).He QUIETLY POCKETED THE NEW EXTERNAL KEY PAD ENTRY DEVICE !!!As it CAME W/ THE UNIT, I questioned him about it & he reluctantly FIXED IT !!!( Some Techs charge $ 200 for it !!! He could easily have MADE A $ 200 PROFIT BY POCKETING IT QUIETLY & SELLING IT ELSEWHERE !!! )I CANNOT appreciate this aspect of it.

Its been a few weeks since Brad from Alliance Overhead Door upgraded and installed a new garage door for us. I wanted to take out time to write a review for this company. Its not very often I write reviews. About 5 years ago I called Brad when my old garage door was in need of repair. He responded and came out right away to help.Though he fixed our old garage door we recently decided to upgrade our entire system, including a new door. Obviously we called Brad, because in my opinion, he is simply the best in the business. He works very fast and takes great pride in his work.

I just had my weight set delivered the day prior and realized there was not enough overhead room in the garage to accommodate where I would like to have the machine placed. With one day to find someone to do the job, my good friend highly recommended Brad as he had done some work for him in the past and was very pleased with his professionalism and quality of work. I called Alliance Overhead Door early morning and spoke with Brad concerning replacement of my garage door motor as the rail connected to the motor was in the way. Brad called me a little later the same morning to let me know that he could arrive early to get this job done for me. Brad was very friendly and informative with my options and let me know what work would need to be done.I ended up getting a LiftMaster motor as a replacement and i now have plenty of overhead room in the middle of the garage. I would have done this a long time ago if i knew i had this option to get back my overhead space in my garage. I am very glad I called and thankful for Brad’s professionalism and quality of work he did for me. I would definitely recommend.

I had an issue with my garage door that was preventing it from closing properly. I spoke with Brad around 11am, he was at my home by 12:30. He identified the issue, and then took the time to walk me through it. We discussed repair options along with the possibility of door replacement. Brad explained everything that needed to be done to repair and then explained the garage door replacement option. There was never any pressure to go one way or the other, just the facts of the situation. I elected to go with the repairs and Brad had them completed in about 45 minutes. My garage door is running smoothly again and is now quieter as a result. I highly recommend Alliance Overhead Door and Brad for anyone needing garage door repair or replacement! Thank you Brad!

Unlike a competitor before him, Brad advised against replacing my door and opener, knowing full well hed earn less on my job. He confidently said he could refurbish my door and service my opener. He was on time, assessed the situation in five minutes, explained everything, answered my questions and itemized the costs. He had the parts with him, did the work then and there in 45 minutes, and I am very pleased. The door is more quiet than its been for a year, and should be solid for years to come. Hi I called Jim at Conejo Genie this morning in regards to my Spud cable that came off, Jim was very polite and honest he told me he was two men short today but he could make it late in the afternoon. My garage door sensor (electric eye) failed gradually over time until the door kept re-opening by itself. I was having nightmares about getting robbed. Another local repair guy (whom I shall not name) refused to come look at it- he actually told me to fix it myself. Um, what?! So I called Alliance Overhead Door: Brad and Bo (?) arrived promptly when they said they would, and replaced the sensors for a fair price. Brad advised me that my system is old (truth), but as the motor still works he didnt try to upsell me on anything. The door closes reliably now! 1/2 star off for not knowing that compatible DIP switch replacement remotes ARE readily available. Home Depot had 20 compatible remotes in stock, so I bought two and programmed them myself. Im happy!

My garage door spring broke in the morning. I Googled Garage Door Repair and called one of the first companies that came up. The guy said he could not even give me a ball park price over the phone because there are so many types of doors and springs so the technician needed to see what I had. The that came out was very dishonets. He lied to me about the cost of springs what it would take to replace the spring. He told me the cost would be between $530 and $750 to replace the springs, which included $189.00 for adjustment after replacing the springs. I said no thanks. He then said I owed him $19.00 for the service call. Next I called Alliance. Brad asked me what kind of door I had and gave me a good price right over the phone. He was then out at my house less than two hours after I called and fixed the problem quickly. He did not add any hidden costs and the adjustment was included in the original cost for replacing the springs. I would definitely call him again. I you want an honest company look no further than Alliance.

Gained a lot of respect for this company. Brad came out to our place to change out a broken spring on our garage door. Instead of making the quick change, he took a consultative approach and realized that our springs were the wrong size for the door. So rather than paying for it in the long run we moved up a wire size and now my garage door doesnt sound like an f-16 taking off. Thanks again Brad now my twin girls stay asleep when I open the garage.
