Phenomenal MD who sets the standard in excellent care. Office staff top notch and sees through tricky issues with insurance and prescribed treatments. Dr. George’s care exceeded that of my previous gastroenterologist at Cedars-Sinai—he’s been my go-to for a chronic condition ever since, almost 10 years. He’s up to date on current medical trials and research, responsive and sharp as they come. I’d continue under his care even if I left So Cal, he’s that good.

The doctor is excellent but the scheduling process is inefficient. The doctor asks many questions that could have been answered electronically, and scheduling is a two step process wasting 3 to 4 weeks. Someone with an abnormal Cologuard test should be directly scheduled for a colonoscopy

I was able to have a telemedicine appointment with Dr. George. He listened to all I said and offered some suggestions that could help. He didn’t feel rushed which was nice. He ended the call by encouraging me to call should I need to. Thank you Dr. George.

Dr. George has been my gastroenterologist for the past twenty years. I am being treated for gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barretts esophagus and a hiatal hernia. He is very knowledgeable and thorough in treating my conditions. Thank you, Doctor George for all your attentive care.Debra Shargo

Dismissive, condescending, arrogant! Called him a few hours before my procedure since I had some concerns during the preparation early in the morning. He answered the phone and when I started stating my concerns, he hanged up. Could not get through the next time I called, as the succeeding calls were going straight to his voicemail. Arrived significantly late at the actual surgical center. When I asked him about what happened that he hanged up, he did not have a straight answer and was being dismissive. Normally, doctors would put you at ease before a procedure, but this dude made me feel I was being rushed and just wanted to get it over with. After the procedure, he was nowhere to be found when I finally woke up. The nurse tried to explain everything. The nurse also mentioned that this doctor mentioned that I was so nervous. No, I wasn’t nervous!!! I just had some questions as any patient would want to know all the details before a procedure is done to them. Perhaps money and success has gotten the best of him. You should remain humble and personable as every doctor is expected to be.

This was my first visit with a gastroenterologist. The staff was very welcoming and thorough with the information needed.Dr. George was very kind, thoughtful and considerate regarding my explanation of my symptoms.He has a wonderful demeanor and is extremely articulate.I’m thankful to have had a good experience on my first visit.

Many family members recommended Dr. Gorge as well as our primary care doctor. Unfortunately it’s impossible to get a hold of anyone in his scheduling department as well as the coordinator line to book an appointment. So we will take our business elsewhere. I hate how office practices ruin it when you just want to see a good doctor.

Attentive while I was hospitalized and the other doctors regarded Dr. George highly. My office visit went well after being released from the hospital. The appointment ran late but the staff told me straight away and were professional. Dr. George was reassuring when I was really down and I recommend him highly.

I had a telephone conference call with Dr. Alister regarding my colonoscopy for next week. I had some issues I needed to speak to him about he was so very helpful and so kind. Took the time to listen to me and make suggestions and give us a direction for my concerns. I would be happy to rate my colonoscopy experience when completed.

Dr George and his entire office team are an absolute pleasure to deal with. I have been suffering from esophageal ulcers for the last couple of months. I had already had an EG and colonoscopy and put on GERD and anti nausea medication.I finally reached a point this past Wednesday where I was eating nothing and still vomiting. I was able to speak with Elle from his office and she hooked me up with a tele-health appointment today, Friday. Her awareness about my symptoms and the importance of having me speak with Dr George ASAP was right on point.My face time conversation with the doctor was one of the most thorough and thoughtful meetings I have had with any physician. I had a list of questions that he took his time in answering.Kudos to all who assisted me!

So the doctor is running 90 minutes late on all of his morning appointments. Do you inform the patients waiting in exam rooms or the waiting room so maybe they can go grab a cup of coffee across the street or take a walk? Or do you choose to keep your customers in the dark, they not knowing if the doctor will see them in 2 minutes or two hours. It seems that the staff at Dr. Georges office prefer the latter option. Great customer service!

Last year I was scheduled for a colonoscopy. When I arrived they took my vitals. My blood pressure was extremely low. The nurse on duty said I needed to get my blood pressure up before they could put me under. Dr. George was on the phone so the nurse couldn’t tell him what was going on. A few minutes later I was wheeled into to surgery room where they then started the procedure. I woke up in recovery where the doctor was on the phone pausing for a moment to let me know that all was well. I asked him about my blood pressure and then he said yeah it was low and that I should never have this procedure again then without further explanation he left. I went home and decided to contact my cardiologist and he told me I should have never had the colonoscopy done due to my low blood pressure. Being under sedation with that low of blood pressure could have killed me. The next day I contacted Dr. George’s office to lodge a complaint. I was transferred to the head nurse and she took my statement. She was surprised that knowing my blood pressure was so low Dr. George did the procedure anyway. She would start an investigation and get back to me. That never happened. Dr. George cares more about getting more patients in the door to line his pockets rather than the health of his patients. All I can say is that you could be putting your life at risk. Please go somewhere else. He’s not there to help you.

Honestly, I do not have a review of the doctor because I could not get past the scheduling department. Called multiple times for three days and never got past number six on the the queue to schedule an appointment. I left my phone etc. for a call back and they never responded.

From beginning (consultation) to prep thru procedure, Dr. George and his nurses could not have been nicer, more thorough or more professional. This was my third colonoscopy and third doctor to do my procedure and by far, he was the best. I will definitely go back in 5 years when I have to do my next one.

Horrible front/back office communication. They never contacted me with my FULL Lab-work & Ultrasound results. Called twice & was “emailed” a single result on bloodwork, nothing from Ultrasound and no further description on Lab work.I believe all this Doctor and office want to do is book Colonoscopies & Endoscopies for the money. My husband & I have gone here for 10+ years. Leaving this practice for one that cares about patients with some real communication skills. 1 star for cleanliness & appearance.

If I could give him zero stars, I would. I was a patient there about five years ago and brushed my experience off as a mishap. Talking to a brand new coworker recently, she randomly told me her experience with Dr. George and it was nearly identical to mine. It scares me to think of how many others have experienced the same thing.The results of his misdiagnosis, lack of follow-thru testing, and being passed off to another doctor with no additional information available for such a serious diagnosis (gastroparesis) was life-threatening for me.Billing was a nightmare. We were told there was a cash price because my insurance wouldnt cover the test, so we paid it and then started getting EOB letters from my insurance company for ridiculous amounts that were being filed for the same procedure I paid for out-of-pocket.

It was an experience. Disgusting . From the beginning a cold welcome. Without any privacy. A cold doctor without feelings and without the wisdom to treat a patient, a cold welcome from him. The worst experience I have ever had when going to a doctor. I ended up on a wrong medication that brought many serious side effects. Thank God I went to the computer. Watch and find the side effects and immediately throw the pills in the trash. I dont know how I could give 1 star. Well, for me the rating is 0000000000000000000. I am not a person to leave comments. But I want to prevent anyone else from having this harmful experience.
