Im not a carrier of dental insurance, however I am on the VIP membership plan with this office. I am so glad someone at the front desk was able to convert me to this plan because I was spending so much money every month to dental insurance for premium plans that had little to no coverage!My needs are always met and I admire how everything is always properly explained at each appointment. I highly recommend this office. Thank you!

Horrible dental office. As I was waiting in waiting room, new employee asked senior a work question how to do something. Senior yelled and used profanity toward new employee in front of all customers in waiting room, very awkward.Every time I went here they didn’t even clean my teeth, I left feeling the same.Worst part is every time I went there all they want to do is get me to sign up for a credit card or buy stuff I don’t need. Wouldn’t let it go I kept telling them over and over.Oh yeah, worst part is I had a fractured molar tooth for 2 years. It was hurting me so bad. Every time I asked them about that specific tooth they told me it was fine nothing wrong.This week I went to a new dentist and they told me it was a fractured tooth, I can’t eat hard food, and I need to get a crown.So thanks Aliso Creek Dental for letting me suffer with tooth pain for years while you tried to get me to buy stuff and sign up for a credit card.DONT GO HERE.

I can’t say enough about the people and Dr Mona at Aliso Creek Dental. I had so many issues with my previous Dentist with responding to my needs. I had a temporary bridge put I with Dr Mona a couple weeks back. On a late Saturday afternoon I bit down on a sandwich roll and broke my bridge. I text Dr Mona what happened and she told me to come in Monday morning and she would take care of it. I was so relieved, she responded to me right away and eased my mind. I highly recommend if you’re having problems with your Dentist to contact Aliso Creek Dental for your needs!

Hi! I went to Aliso Creek Dental to do an emergency check up and they squeezed me in right away! They are very accommodating and explained my condition clearly and thoroughly. They even made my mouthwash complimentary for my first time (as I didn’t have insurance that covered this office at the moment) I love their new office it has lots of parking space and all their equipment has been updated as well. I will be coming back here again!

This is my first time coming to this establishment and in no way do I get benefit from writing this review. With that being said, it’s been 5 years since I got a cleaning and I’m happy to say I will be coming back. From the front office to the doctor everything was professional, enjoyable, and comfortable. The place was well kept. It was clean and upon entering had a nice scent. I could tell the facility was well cared for. Deema, the dental hygienist handled my cleaning with care and attention, she was perfect. She made sure I was comfortable and made me feel like I was getting treated by an old friend. I almost didn’t want the cleaning to end. I salute this place.

I always have a great experience getting my cleanings. The staff is so gentle, which is great because I am terrified of teeth related procedures. Other than the cleanings, I have gotten a gum treatment, a crown, and Invisalign. All have gone smoothly. I am so happy I found a place that encourages me to be proactive about my dental health.

My recent experience at Aliso Creek Dental was nothing short of appalling, marked by unprofessional conduct and a complete disregard for customer service. Despite being a longstanding patient, I was subjected to harassment and disrespect from Maryam, a member of the front desk staff.Not only was Maryam rude to me when I sought estimates elsewhere for a necessary treatment, but she also resorted to making derogatory remarks about my family, both directly to me and to her colleagues. This behavior is completely unacceptable and has left me feeling deeply offended and disrespected.Furthermore, the issues with billing, including overcharging and delayed invoices, only exacerbated my frustration with the practice. It is clear that the lack of professionalism extends beyond individual interactions and permeates the entire office environment.In light of these egregious incidents, I can no longer in good conscience recommend Aliso Creek Dental to anyone seeking dental care. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, qualities that are sorely lacking in this establishment. Avoid at all costs.

It had been 6 years since I had been to a dentist which no longer accepted my insurance. So I tried Aliso Creek dental. Wonderful review to give them five stars I had a crown which fit perfectly the first time two cavities and a little chip repair all is done economically and without hardly any pain except for the shot and that wasnt as bad as it used to be. They will be my dentist from now on.

I called on Monday and we were able to meet with the oral surgeon the next day. After getting the x-rays and meeting with him he was able to pull her extra tooth that same day which we were so grateful for! I had taken her to several dentists who did nothing about the tooth. We were in and out in just over an hour. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. My daughter is all smiles that her pesky tooth is finally gone. They were a fair price for what I thought the procedure would cost.

I moved to Orange County recently and searched for quality dental care. Upon contacting Aliso Creek Dental, I was treated for a number of needs during the next two days. The staff is friendly, the office pristine and stocked with up-to-date equipment, and I cant say enough positive things about Dr. Shapiro. As a senior with some hearing loss, I am delighted with his great communication skills. He carefully explains procedures in an easy-to-understand manner, and then uses his 31 years of experience to complete them painlessly.

Where do I start? This dental office doesnt care about customers-they only want to collect money. I went in for cleaning only-for what turns out I needed a root canal, new fillings, and 6 new crowns on my teeth! Like an idiot, I trusted them and let them do all what is needed. I had TWO dental insurances, and the billing department charged over $6,000 out of pocket with both insurances! the billing lady is extremely rude and incompetent. She doesnt know what shes doing. She has billed both insurances for the same services and collected money from both insurances, including from myself! this is a fraud-when I tried explaining it to her, she was rude and refused to speak with me. I tried to put the billing dept on three-way with my insurance company, and this dental office refused to speak with my insurance company. I have asked them to provide me with a before-and-after pictures/x-rays of all the work that was done on my teeth, and they refused to give them to me. I have been going back and forth with them since April. This is ridiculous. It is my patients right to obtain this info.Not to mention, the crowns that were installed on my teeth kept falling so I kept going back to redo them. One of the crowns BROKE MY TOOTH-and you know what? they CHARGED ME to go back and redo it! Im just appalled. Currently, I am disputing these charges with my bank and will probably report them to the CA Dental Board.Oh, and if youre wondering about all the positive reviews, its because they literally send you 100 texts reminding you to leave them a review as soon as you leave their office. I also question the legitimacy of them.

Suddenly, I had emergency tooth pain from my previous root canal surgery, which I had done overseas; after googling, I found Aliso Creek Dental and the team were a pleasure to deal with.Dr Mona took the time to understand to diagnose my tooth pain. I moved into the area a little over a year ago. I hadnt taken the time to find a dentist for myself yet.I had been experiencing something I felt was almost a dental emergency. I was experiencing pain behind one of my molars and found a small abscess that was painful to the touch. I was mostly worried about infection and its spreading.I yelped the area for emergency dental and was drawn to Aliso Creek Dental. So I checked their website out based on all the great previous reviews and the very modern-looking office.One person mentioned that it was so clean. They were not lying. The office is absolutely beautiful, but also I have to mention how calming the aesthetics are. I dont know about you all, but I get high anxiety going to the dentist. The discomfort, the needle for numbing, and the sound of the drilling. And that I feel says a lot because I work in a hospital for a living. But here it is light and bright, they have a perfectly placed TV in front of you playing calming music while you travel the world. For my two visits, I went to Japan and Dublin.I submitted a quick and easy application through their website. Stating what I was experiencing and my information. I received a text immediately, then a phone call after. They were able to accommodate seeing me that day if I could get there as soon as possible. I quickly got dressed and ran out the door. From the moment you walk through the door every employee you meet there greets you kindly, friendly, and without judgment.The people that I had the pleasure of working with were Roxanne and Dr. Shapiro. Roxanne got me settled on my first emergency visit. She was so kind and had me at ease immediately. She quickly and efficiently did a 3D X-ray on me with a machine that uses lower radiation than older machines. Which I thought was so cool. Dr. Shapiro immediately makes you feel so comfortable and somehow had me even laughing. He was gentle, quick, efficient, and straightforward with me. Deep cleaning was all I needed and he had found two cracked fillings (I know I grind my teeth when I sleep and am stressed out).They werent, unfortunately, able to do the fillings that day, but worked with me to find a date and time that fit my schedule not even a week later. The next day after my cleaning though the swelling went down and the pain was gone and by day 8 the abscess was completely gone.I went in for my two filings replacements and from the moment I walked in I was out in 45 min. I expressed I was terrified of the numbing needle and Dr. Shapiro evaluated how deep hed need to go and told me a topical would be sufficient if I wanted and that I shouldnt feel any pain. AND I wouldnt need to wait to eat lunch afterward.Im already scheduled for my 6-month cleaning and will be returning to them for any of my dental needs.Thank you so much, Aliso Creek Dental!

I hate going to the dentist! Ive been a patient of Dr. Shapiro for over 10 years! He is great straight forward no bs and very competent. He is honest and tells you what you need nothing else! Ive had exstensive dental work with Dr. Shapiro and I choose to return to him for his great work and honesty. This is difficult in the dental industry. Trust is not common, but very important. I love going to Aliso Creek Dental. Dr. Shapiro is the best dentist I have ever been to. Not only is he beyond competent, it is like a comedy show listening to him joke back and forth with the dental assistants. Everyone is very kind and attentive. I have some health issues that make it difficult to lay on the dental chair. Both Dr. Shapiro and his staff accommodate my disability even though it makes them have to work harder. Questions are always answered and Dr. Shapiro is never in a rush even if he is seeing more than one patient. Ive never had to wait to go back. The office is punctual and that really helps me. The office also has oral surgeons, endodontists, and periodondists who come see patients. So, you dont have to go to visit a specialist. The specialists come to you. I had a root canal and it was painless and done by an endodontist Aliso Creek Dentist. Dr. Shapiro is patient and never tries to upsell unnecessary care. I have been to dentists who will want to do everything, including procedures you dont need. Not so with Dr. Shapiro. It is a personal type of relationship that you rarely find with a dentist and I never leave upset by being overcharged or charged inappropriately. I would give Aliso Creek Dental 10 stars if I could. Dr. Shapiro sets the mood and makes it fun to see the dentist. I only have one suggestion for the owners of the office complex. This has nothing to do with Aliso Creek Dental. The owners of the entire office complex that has many offices in it, may consider making the entrance doors to the building have an automatic open feature. Im in a wheelchair and it is difficult to have the person pushing you open the door at the same time as pushing me. Of course, when you get to actual office, the doors are opened for you. I do miss Dr. Shapiros former dental assistant. She is an angel and was such an asset to the patients. She was also extremely kind and competent. Thats not to say that the other assistants are not kind and competent. She just brought a special light to the practice. I hope wherever you moved on to appreciates you as much as I did. It was my first time to the office and I felt very comfortable and will be happy to return for my check ups. My first impression was of how nice the staff was. Everyone was personable, knowledgeable and good at what they do. Roxanne was awesome in that she answered all my curious questions about teeth x-rays and what you might see. She also let me watch on the TV as she took pictures of my teeth which was super cool and interesting to me. Although my visit was just for new patient screening and a cleaning, Dr. Shapiro was able to treat a small cavity that I had right away instead of making me return for another appointment. It was the quickest filling ever, didn’t need to be numbed and didn’t feel a thing. I highly recommend Aliso Creek Dental!

Called them and immediately they said come in, well I couldn’t cause I was at work, ER nurse, and no one to cover my shift. They made room for me the next day. About a year ago, I started going to Aliso Creek Dental as I was having upper and lower jaw pain. I hadnt been to a dentist in 5-10 years because I was wary of finding a new dentist. My gums were inflamed due to my lack of dental visits over the years and because I rarely flossed. I also had a wisdom tooth that was coming in at an angle. I am very pleased to say that one year and a few visits later, I am so glad I found this dentist and would highly recommend them.Dr. Shapiro effectively explained the status of my oral health and prudently urged me to have a deep clean and quarterly periodontal maintenances until my gum health improved.The Dental Hygienists, Irem and Leila, are wonderful! They did my deep clean and my periodontal maintenances. During the procedures, they are great at communicating and checking to make sure youre doing ok. They are very knowledgeable and share their knowledge in a way that feels like they are trying to help you understand the importance of a good oral care routine and are more than willing to recommend methods and products to help you improve that routine. I genuinely believe they truly care about your oral and overall health. I would recommend Aliso Creek Dental bàsed on my experiences with them alone!My wisdom teeth extraction also went well. I was very nervous for the procedure and the doctor and his team helped me to relax. They provided a lot of helpful information about the procedure and what you can eat for the first few days after. First off the receptionist, is very kind and welcoming and did everything they could to accomodate my schedule. The staff lied to me about the price of the treatment I was receiving. When I went back to finish the treatment on my tooth they wanted to raise me another $1k. It was awful! Later on I found out that the dentist had shaved down my other tooth and made a hole in the other one. None of this was discussed with me AT ALL. Today I finally was able to go to a dentist that I feel totally comfortable with. Aliso Creek Dental oh my what a little gem in my area. Today I saw dr. Jonathan Shapiro and the dental hygienist which Im so sorry I forgot her name, they were wonderful they have the most modern tools everything was painless theyre also offering a new patient special for $99. Theyve x-rayed my teeth they clean them, and everything was pain-free they are so professional from the girls in the front office to the dental hygienist to the dentist what a wonderful place I recommend dr. Shapiro and the hygienist in fact everybody in that office. Its nice to be able to go into a dental office and not have students learning on you which I have in the past with other dental office these people are all professionals and are very gentle with you Im so lucky to find them.

And you know we got the free toothpaste and brushes...The space is nice - they have TVs for each chair while you choose what to watch on netflix during your cleaning. Nice touch is they even have a tile of blue sky on the ceiling if you look up!

I am very satisfied with the service I have received both from Dr. Mona and Dr. Tony as well as all the great staff. In fact when we moved to north L.A. I drove all the way down to Aliso Vjeio for my appointments (They have saturday hours which I think is great as I have a busy schedule) because such good service is hard to find. Before I started going here I was tense in my jaws, and sometimes I had severe jaw pain. I had only one filling, but that only filling had caused my pains without me knowing. Doctors found many problems with my teeth, chipped teeth, small cavities, and my filled tooth started aching severly and I had to get an emergency time. They saw me in very short notice in despite of their full schedule. Nowadays my jaws are not tense, I can eat nuts again without pain, my cavities are taken care of, and I feel good about my mouth again. Also they are super gentle and I never feel any pain. They have a special device to make the gum numb without needles. The staff from the front desk to the nurses and hygienists in back all are very nice and caring and I almost feel like included in a family when I am there. I think everyone should go there at least once and feel the difference!

Both my family and I have been patients of Aliso Creek Dental for nearly a decade, and in that time referred dozens of friends to Dr. Tony, his wife, Dr. Moana and their wonderful staff (especially Annie!).My son, now 10, absolutely loves Dr. Tony, and doesnt even mind the shots as long as Dr. Tony is by his side!For nearly my entire life I would dread going to the dentist - not because of the discomfort - but because my prior experiences with other Dentists had always been negative; primarily because of the high-pressure sales tactics implemented by most practices. I would feel like I do when walking onto a car dealership every time I showed up for an appointment with my past Dentists. And it was always a remarkable coincidence that I needed just the amount of dental work that my insurance capped out at. In fact, the dentist I had prior to Drs. Tony and Moana pressured me into a root canal that turned out I never needed, botched it, and destroyed the root necessitating the tooths removal - yet still continued to pressure me to pay the remaining $1,800 that wasnt covered by insurance.The difference with Drs. Tony and Moana is that they are true Doctors. When you visit your MD for a check up, you dont worry about a staff member coming into the exam room to make a high pressure sales pitch - offering you no interest financing like a car salesman would.You simply trust that your doctor is providing you the correct diagnosis and treatment, and that he and his staff arent there for the upsellAnd as with a visit to your MD, its the same with Drs. Tony and Moana - they are true Doctors - ethical professionals dedicated to your continued oral health and wellness. Ive never once questioned a diagnosis or recommendation made by Dr. Tony, because Ive never been concerned about whether his professional opinion was in any way influenced by his profit potential from the same. Selfishly, I hope neither he nor his wife ever retire!

I went here in 2009 to have a broken tooth fixed. It turned into a root canal and crown needing to be done. Ok I understand that was the best option here lies the issues. I was in pain for a number of days after it was completed and also had pressure. I was assured this was normal and given more pain meds. Well fast forward to 2015 and I finally went back to see a dentist due to the chronic pain etc, I had been in fear of going since my 2009 visit. Well low and behold after the new dentist reviewed the xrays he noted the root canal was not done properly. The roots had not been completely removed and improperly filled. So I say lets get it fixed (more money out of my pocket) and we open it up to correct it. Well he finds cotton packed in there still and spends the next 10 mins just cleaning out what was left in there from the 2009 work. After over an hour of fixing and correcting the work from 2009 I am now on a mission to find out why this was done to me. I had pressure and infections over the last six years only to find out I still had cotton in there and now I also have to get the crown redone as the quality is subpar. This may be a fine place to get your teeth whitened or cleaned but anything other then that go to a professional.I am so happy I finally got this fixed not only do I no longer have pain but the pressure and also we hope the infections go away. My ENT and I spent to much time focused on other things with the sinuses and did not think to check the work done to my tooth. I recommend you stay away at all costs. If the business would like to discuss further please let me know I am building the medical records file now and will also provide the xrays for review. The work was done by Dr. Tony at that time and I wish I had know more back then.

Hi, I just moved to this area and found this place on yelp. I did a cleaning in this office and they asked me to pay 70$ out of pocket, i knew that my insurance covers two cleanings per year, I told the reception that but she insisted that this cleaning is different and i have to pay. I was about to pay but decided to call my insurance to check, while i was in their office, i called the insurance and they told the reception that I am 100% covered. When i complained about this, the reception (Christina) told me, oh it was a mistake of the other lady from yesterday!!. No even a sorry!!.If i have not made that call, I would have paid 70$ already.This is very disturbing, that means if you do not know your insurance and the codes, they can over-charge you and you may never find out!!.Just be careful when you hear this: your out of pocket is .....
