The service at this place was phenomenal. I was craving aglio olio e peperoncino and asked if they could make it for me even though it was not on their menu, and they did. It did taste great 👍 the mussel and veal dishes were satisfying but not phenomenal though.

I am so glad we decided on this place. Hubby and I had a rare date night and hands down is now one of our favorites. All the staff was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, the recommended wine was amazing! I highly recommend the risottos. Plan on coming back and trying new plates.

Had me Birthday dinner here and I’m happy to say it was a pleasant experience. My waiter Juan the funniest server I ever had and as is customary they played me a happy birthday song from the speakers (I got up danced to cheering patrons. Lol)Food was amazingService attentive and helpfulOwner was present and appreciative of patrons as they left.Surprise bit: they had a nice jazzy sound all night … you’ll unintentionally sway every now and then lol.

Our last hurrah before we return to the U.K. we were recommended to come here and we weren’t disappointed. The risotto was creamy but not too heavy. The focaccia was light and the olive oil was a perfect accompaniment. All the pasta was tasty and full of flavour. It was a great evening and a great way to end our vacation.

While craving Italian, hubby suggested Aliotta’s Via Firenze. Don’t let the outside fool you because the inside is kinda fancy. However, the food, not so much.For the table, we ordered calamari and Caprese. Both were basic, nothing exciting. For our main meal, hubby and I got chicken dishes and my daughter got a steak. Again, not very exciting and everything was kinda bland and cold. The presentation of the food was disappointing as well. We did wait awhile for our food, which was annoying because there weren’t very many people at the time. Not sure what the hold-up was. Of course, I had to get a cannoli and a cappuccino. The cannoli shell was very hard, but the filling was tasty. I pretty much just scooped out the filling.I wasn’t impressed and was not very satisfied. The ambiance was delightful but the service and the food were mediocre. I’m glad I checked them out but would probably not return.

The food, service, and ambiance of the restaurant was wonderful. Every bite of our meal was absolutely delectable and we never had an empty glass of water. The wine sauce, along with every bit of shrimp, scallops, noodle, and the combination of flavors in each of our meals was so good we wanted to savor every last bite. When you are asked if you want dessert and you say yes they bring you a platter of what each dessert will look like so you can choose based on sight. The dessert was excellent and practically melted in our mouths. I cannot express how wonderful the chefs cooking is and would highly recommend you visit Aliottas Via Firenze if you are looking for the taste of a real Italian meal coupled with nice, friendly service.

It is the South Bay...so dont be surprised to find this great Italian restaurant in a tiny strip of businesses.The food was delicious and the staff were great (knowledgeable of the menu and made the evening more fun).Great appetizers (calamari, portabello mushrooms with shrimp and artichokes with arugula).The sea bass was huge and tasted great... rustic, authentic Italian flavors.Worth a visit!

We had a great family dinner here last night. The interior is classic Italuan restaurant, creating an appropriate atmosphere to chow down on classic fare. We enjoyed the calamari and speck with artichoke antipasti, paired with a lovely Pinot Nero that was recommended by our attentive server. For our main courses we all picked from their seafood selection, which did not disappoint. Dessert was tiramisu, pistachio gelato, and espresso. If youre in the mood for that classic Italian dining experience look no further!

Due to the pandemic we had not been to this one of our favorite restaurants for years. The food was wonderful as it was in years past when we had eaten there. They had the most wonderful Mushroom Soup, like no other Ive ever had before. The Veal that I had was cook just perfectly, my husband enjoyed his selections too. As with other times we have been to Aliottas Via Firenze, the service was superb, close your eyes and your in Italy! We will be back more often and with friends.

I wish there was a way to give Chef Mike more than 5 stars. The food and service is second to none. Chef Mike is such a great guy and makes you feel like you are sitting down for a family dinner. You can taste the passion in the food and everything Ive tried has been exceptiona. Oh finally, found the authentic real Italian restaurant in South-bay area !!The linguine Toscana is just so flavorful yet simple with right amount of salt, garlic, pepper, capers and lemon’s citrus scent to complete the dish. Of course, the pasta is fresh and al dente. The wine list shows the owner’s dedication and great tastebuds. The veal is wonderful and so are the rest of the dishes all the way to the espresso ❤️Thank you Mike, we will definitely come back soon❣️

Excellent experience. We were greeted by, Im assuming, the owner. He sat us down and advised us of todays special, recommendations and desserts. We ordered the lasagna and the eggplant parmigiana. Lasagna was a little salty for me, but thats subjective. Eggplant however was excellent. Loved the atmosphere- I felt like I wasnt in Torrance when inside the restaurant, much less California. I also noticed what seemed to be regulars of Aliotta, as the owner greeted them by name; always a good sign. The only thing I think that would make the experience stellar is if there was some live music! Some Jazz Standards wouldve been superb.Overall a fantastic experience, will be returning. Thank you

This place is wonderful. Signore Aliotta himself is the host - he greets you in Italian upon entry and takes you to your table. (He also sets the tables.) The chef is also an Aliotta himself and he hops around and talks to each table. (We even saw him having a glass of wine at one.) The servers are polite and knowledgeable. The food is scrumptious and the ambiance makes you feel like youre having dinner at your Italian relatives home. I cant say enough good things about this place - its my favorite restaurant in the area now.

We had dinner for a large family to celebrate a birthday. We were greeted at the door, and were waited on hand and foot the entire time. The appetizers were delicious; the roasted artichoke was phenomenal. I had the mushroom ravioli, but also tasted the chicken parmigiana and the gnocchi. Outstanding. My husband and I just literally left the restaurant. I’m feeling a little disappointed, especially since I chose this restaurant to celebrate our 20 year anniversary! Yesterday I spoke on the phone with a lovely man who made me feel that I made a good choice, stating, “we’ll have a tiramisu with a candle in it for you!” He apparently wasn’t there this evening and the waiter we had, who has worked there for many years didn’t really seem to care. I’m bummed because I was really hoping that this place could be a hidden treasure. Our waiter was nice, but not as attentive as you would have thought for it being our first time, it was a slow night, the amount of money we spent, and it being a very special day for us. I was also disappointed that the owner made his way to the table across from us, but never came over to our table. I will end on a positive note, that we were very satisfied with our dishes.Updated on 5/18/23I very rarely if ever take the time to add a review! My intention was to express our experience and hopefully receive a thoughtful positive response to give us the desire to return and give you a second chance. Based on this generic response, you really don’t care if we return. Again disappointed. It does appear that you do care about some customers, we are just not one of them.

The food here is very authentic. The prices for the quality of food is incredible. Rack of lamb with wine makes my entire night. The Gnocchi is my favorite dish though. Reminds me of my familys cooking. The atmosphere is very chill and the service is fast and good friendly banter. We come here twice a month now at least.

Decided to break away from our usual spots for delivery when we want Italian and I am so glad we did! Holy cow! Cannot wait to go visit the restaurant and eat there! The food was delicious! So fresh, so much flavor, it’s our new favorite! Loved how the arugula salad came with lemon wedges, olive oil and salt and pepper on the side to make your own, fresh dressing (it’s exactly how I dress my own salads!). Everything is perfectly homemade and tastes like Grandmas, but with a touch of class youd expect from something bigger than even a little place like the South Bay. This is in a non-ideal location. With COVID requiring outdoor seating and all the reservations taken up I saw this on OpenTable. Anza has a lot of secrets and this is one of them. Outstanding service and the food was great. My kids ate everything on their plate and they never do that. We couldn’t decide on a red wine so they brought out free tasters to help us decide. They have outdoor seating and barely anyone was here on a Friday night. All for us! Great experience—will be back!

The Carpaccio di Manzo was great. Every last caper and piece of parmasean made it fantastic. The focaccia was okay, not a recommendation, but it was free. The Vitello Saltimbucco was really good. I did have to flavor the side vegetables with olive oil, salt, and pepper. They took out olive oil and balsamic vinegar away once, which was weird since we still had focaccia.

The experience, the food, the ambiance all contributed to an amazing night. Chef Mike (who almost everyone else there knew) made us feel welcome and took care of us personally asking with everyone else. We took our time eating (Mike took away the menus and said we didnt need them after we ordered the appetizers) and ordered a phenomenal bottle of wine. After dinner, we finished off the evening with espresso and coffee and Mike took us inside (knowing it was our first time there) and presented his establishment to us. When someone has that much pride in what they do and do it as well as Mike does, Ill definitely be going back!

But that is due to the relaxed dinning environment. Nicely decorated inside. Prices are on the moderate side. This is a little piece of Italy tucked away in a corner of Torrance. They don’t serve pizza, just authentic Italian dishes with focaccia made in house. My husband had Lobster Ravioli and I had Veal Scallopini sautéed in a mushroom, lemon caper wine sauce. Both were fabulous, but the veal scallopini melted in your mouth! They have a great wine selection and mouth-watering desserts. I ordered the house cannoli and my husband has pistachio gelato. The service was impeccable.

The staff here treated us like family. Accommodated all our dietary restrictions with grace and understanding and said theyd make us anything we want. Best gluten free pasta Ive ever had - somehow they cooked it perfectly al dente. So many little touches like pouring a bit of truffle oil on my pasta so I could taste it as a courtesy. For American italian food the experience was really good. Nice restaurant, excellent service and the food was of good quality. But it was not authentic italian food. I tasted the lasagna, and it was prepared with some type of marinara sauce, with a lot of spices. Italian food, like japanese, reliese to the flavors of the main ingredients, not on the added spices. In the spaghetti alle vongole they did not use italian vongole, but some type of clams that do not deliver the same flavors. I tried both types and they really make the difference. The dessert, tiramisu, was good and with authentic flavors :) . If you are looking for italian food as the one you had when travelling to Italy, youll not find in this place. Perhaps other dishes have a more authentic flavors, but if classic dishes like lasagna or spaghetti alle vongole does not make the cut, it will be difficult to find another dish that does it!

Told us main dishes go with a soup or salad and then they appeared in the bill, $8 each (a small salad and a small soup). This is a quintessential old style steakhouse with great prime rib. Four of us went last Tuesday night and all enjoyed their selection. Not one of us could finish our meal. As a bonus, Tuesday night is Karaoke night and many locals came in to participate so it was a lively evening.

“Delicious French Food at Reasonable Prices at Dominiques Kitchen”For my entree, I had the daily special -- pork filet mignon. My husband had the linguini with smoked salmon and about half of my dinner. Servings are not timid! We also enjoyed picking from the great selection of wines by the glass. It was as if we stepped into a restaurant in Florence, Italy! The décor is beautiful, the food was delicious, but the service is what sets this restaurant apart! We will definitely return. You get a feeling of old world Italy from the table decor to the paintings on the walls. The menu is extensive with a wide variety of choices, all at a reasonable price. One of their signature dishes is a assorted seafood fettucini baked in parchment paper and presented at table side. Their food is very good overall and served up to appeal to the eyes. The service was attentive and fun, which made the whole dining experience that much better. Ask for a table with Manuelo, he will surely entertain as he is from Sicily.

I like the interior. Its close to my place. But today i didnt have stellar experience. I was upset when a lady that was walking around with a pitcher of water added water with ice to my glass in a middle of my conversation so fast that i didnt even notice, and it took me some time before i got no ice water. I never have iced water. But thats not the main reason of the 1 star.I asked for a try of house pinot (7.50 a glass). I liked it and asked a glass. It didnt taste exactly like the sample but when you are busy with your party, its something you dont worry about. Nobody wants to argue when you are having fun. House wine. What do you expect... Then second glass came and it became obvious it wasnt the same wine as the sample, but I wrote that off for the house wine taste and price again...But when I got the check, or turned out, I was charged 12 bucks s glass. Now it became important. For $12 a glass I would expect very good wine. I asked a waiter why the charge is 12 and not 7.50, and he said, that it was actually their house pinot, not the cheap one.Im sorry I thought house wine always means the cheapest one. I guess I was wrong. Was I? Maybe. But why do I have a feeling that I have been tricked, cheated, and mistreated?I will never find out, but Im not coming back.

Via Firenze is an AMAZING restaurant, without a doubt.From the food to the decor and the service to the atmosphere, Via Firenze is top notch. The menu has extensive choices and now even includes a Gluten Free menu which is perfect for my family as my mother is intolerant. If you desire and item not on the menu, Mike is surely able to concoct the dish for you. The extensive wine list will balance out any dish you may have ordered. I recommend either the Fettucini Firenze or Pumpkin Ravioli from the Pastas menu or the Pollo (Chicken) Emiliana. They are unquestionably scrumptious!The service was phenomenal! They staff is so polite and is always eager to help.
