I had a good experience today with Cornelius and David Rodgers. I want to thank both for helping me today. Cornelius made me and my siblings feel comfortable. He wasnt trying to sell me a car. He simply asked what im looking for and didnt try to persuade me to buy a Hyundai brand. So thank you for being amazing Cornelius. Thank you, Manager David Rodgers, for going above and beyond on bringing our monthly payments lower than what we initially agreed for, also giving us the 3yr warranty without any extra charges (Yes I did check the contract as I was skeptical) which was unbelievable for us, especially in todays economy. My wife and I were thoroughly pleased and impressed by the professionalism, the customer service, and the friendly demeanor displayed and provided by the Sales and Financing staff at Alexander Hyundai. We went in to explore buying a new car, and multiple members of the staff helped us, paid attention and listened to us as we explained what we wanted, and took special actions to accommodate our needs. We were looking for an EV and the staff pulled one from the garage that had just been traded in. We were able to test drive it right away and sales staff assured us it would be fully refurbished (which it was) to meet certified pre-owned criteria. The staff was very reasonable as we came to terms on a final dollar amount for the sale, warranty, and service package. Plus, the staff was very accommodating about submitting materials for us to claim EV tax incentives when we file next year. We walked away feeling we were listened to, our needs were met, and that we got exactly what we were looking for. An all around positive experience! Special mentions for Donald Garcia, Todd Mark, and Ed Mallory. You all went above and beyond to get us exactly what we were looking for. Thank you all!

I guess the transparency the owners value is lost on their finance team and managers. Caught our finance rep in a blatant lie. You could see it in his face. He said he had to go check on something and he didnt return. They had to replace him with another guy that tried a half apology and tried to side step the lie. We were immediately turned off by that shady interaction and kindly left. Later our sales rep text us and for about 2 hours or so tried to cut us a deal on the car we originally wanted. We made sure three different times during the conversation that we were talking about the same car. He assured us and cleared it with his manager. We agreed we would come back in if the price was not going to change on arrival. We got a call from the manager to finalize numbers but low and behold they were trying to sell us a car we wanted nothing to do with. They wasted my morning and my afternoon with their so called transparency . Ill find another Hyundai dealership to do business with even if I have to drive to LA. Todd was cool, not sure where Chriss morals lie but maybe he was a patsy . Ed was the liar and whomever replaced him was just as slick or atleast thought he was. Never got the managers name. Also, no matter what they tell you, the dealership add-ons are negotiable. We proved that.

We are Buying a car from this shop. Gave a $5k deposit three days ago. Still waiting for it to be detailed and smogged. The sales people like Todd and Gino are great, however their sales manager is NOT. Bad attitude, very poor attention to detail. .I have made two trips to dealership because they told me it was ready only for him to tell me it would be ready in 40 minutes. When I asked him to call me when it was done he refused and told me to just come in, it will be done in 40 minutes.With a lot full of cars they may consider getting a better manager. They are lucky those two sales people dont follow his example.

Do not try to see if you can make extra on the commission by messing with my credit score. I’m squared away.

This is a truly nigtmare. I took the car to the dealership back in august due to a check engine light. I was charge $1,900 to fix the transmission, then the technician concluded that I needed to replace my transmission and I was charged another $5,000 to replace the transmission and other components. They also had to replace the battery (covered by the guarantee), and the car had a recall. They spent at least 3 months to repair the car between inspections, recall, transmission and battery replacement. I talked to the manager and he gave me a better rate due to all the isues and delays. However, when I finally get my car back, I found it in terrible shape. Trunk was FLOODED, windshield was leaking water and the driver seatbelt was covered in mold. Manager completely denied responsibility for these issues and I couldn’t be more disappointed and disgusted with the outcome.

I had been looking for a new service dealership and tried others in the area. Well, I get to end my search, because Alexander Hyundai was the best!! The advisor was great, I got text message updates. I was shown pictures of or physically held the failed parts that were replaced. The lounge was spacious clean and had snacks, drinks, and coffee. They have a live feed of the service bay if youd like to watch. My interaction with the advisor was informative. Felt like he was someone who actually desired to help, not just a sales man selling service.

Just god awful service from their maintenance wing. They refused to replace my tire (was bubbling, which is incredibly dangerous) which was covered under warranty. Julio Juarez is useless in terms of providing tire information and has the cadence of a slug. Larry at Oxnard American Tire Depot gave me more information in five minutes than a Hyundai “Sevice Consultant” did in two phone calls (where I was hung up on both times) and several trips inside.

I own a 2021 Hyundai venue. I am very satisfied with the car. However, their recordkeeping in the service department leaves much to be desired. I had my car in for service at the end of August, since that time I have received five emails to bring my car in for the service that was completed in August. I have emailed them back, and also I have actually gone in and spoken to them and asked them to update their service records. When I went in personally the fellow said oh, just ignore them. That’s not the way to do business. You need to keep your records current .

I cannot say enough good things about Alexander Hyundai in Oxnard. In all my years of buying and leasing cars, I have never had a better experience. The sales associate I worked with was Luis Lopez. Luis was down-to-earth, kind, and he did not make me feel pressured. When it came time to work out the purchase numbers, Tim Kinzie in finance was also stupendous. He was fast, understanding, and 100% worked with me to get to a price that was comfortable for me. When the deal was done, Luis then spent a significant amount of time with me showing me the cars features, setting up the media system, and walking me through many settings. I bought my Hyundai Santa Fe from a Toyota dealership, I had my vehicle for 2 months when it went out on me. I contact the Toyota dealership where I bought it and they werent any help. Shout out to Mike McCain, he made the process incredibly easy and transparent. Buying and negotiating on vehicles is stressful enough, but he made it clear and straightforward. I had visited/chatted with over 6 Hyundai dealerships for an Ioniq 5, and I can assure you he is the reaaal deal and pleasant to work with, none of that highly aggressive/pressure sales tactics.I had to fly down from northern California to purchase the car, and he ensured everything was smooth sailing once I got there after we agreed on expectations and price, etc.He even picked me up from the local airport, and got me free lunch as finance was out on break when I arrived around 12p.Hell make sure you are taken care of, whatever financial or geographical situation you may be in during your car search.Appreciate the help Mike, thank you!

For 15 years, all was well and good until I decided to buy out my (THIRD) lease. At that point, I was treated as less than, given no attention, no return calls, and fed lies. I had my own bank take over my loan because Manny Ortiz, puppeteered by Felix Ortega, could not intelligently answer my questions. Pay close attention to your lease agreement, people! Question everything because these sales people proved themselves as stereotypical car salesmen - incredibly disappointing and untrustworthy. My first time there, employees were very friendly and seem knowledgeable. The only part I didnt like was I came there at 3:15pm and was done by 6pm, yes even taking away the test ride at the end it was way to long for an oil change and tire rotation. I understand it is an complimentary Maintenance from Hyundai but still I think it was way to long, especially if you have an appointment and you spend 3 hours plus driving time on your day off there. As I said the people were nice and friendly.

My 2016 Veloster is stalling out at intersections and I contacted the corporate office, they confirmed the engine is under warranty. There was another service ticket generated for the paint that’s fading in the back which considering that I still have a few payments left on the original loan doesn’t seem like an unreasonable concern.The service representative greeted me and interviewed me regarding the engine problem. He was extremely patronizing and kept repeating the questions…also showed zero concern about my safety. When I’m giving my info two other representatives came up and it was an uncomfortable vibe like I was some threat to them?He then asked me to show the paint situation which he had already taken pictures of he blew me off “it’s just sun damage “ when there is currently a recall for chipping and fading paint on the 2016 Veloster.The final blow was his curt demand for me to pay the $200 diagnostic test. NO!I’ve worked hard and made payments and refuse to pay the 3rd party dealership for a service under warranty.I contacted the corporate office and they agreed to mediate I do not recommend buying or servicing a car at this dealership.

I still bought the car because-60MPG. No deals. He was disappointed when I didnt trade my vehicle in thinking it was punishment for no deal on mark-up when they came in over 1k under competitor-weird. Tried to trick me into submitting credit application. Ramon was extremely rude. Probably because I didnt fall for their verify your identity gimmick to get me to finance through them. Happy with the car-never going back to the dealership. I want to add that I did not speak to the manager about these issues because I confronted my salesperson as these things happened. Plus I never saw the Manager around and they didnt check in on the sale at any point even after I purchased. That alone made it clear the Manager isnt much involved or interested because cars are just flying off the lot so Im sure customer experience isnt a priority right now. I felt during this experience I was expected to come, give my money, give my vehicle, and then give more money to them for finance, not sure how to put it but I felt like I was expected to give give give and they wouldnt budge on anything.

Warranty service denied on my 2021 Palisade. Trim became unglued. Service writer insinuated we caused the damage because the trim glue is super strong and it never would have come un-glued by itself.Crazy....is there such thing, if so, nothing would ever come apart.What ever happened to the great service and best warranty in the market?Extremely unsatisfied and offended by their remarks.This will now cost me $350 to repair. Please dont come here its one of the worst staff I bought my car here on 2017th brand new Hyundai elentra Turbo sports course 4 months later it broke down and they charged me 600 bucks just so They could tear out my transmission and put it back on. They didnt even work on it. I had to take my Hyundai to another dealership. so if you ever want to get a job . I had a great experience at Alexander Hyundai of Oxnard vs. Westlake - its well worth the extra drive to go here FIRST. Manny and Felix are top-notch, fair, and kind. My family and I will be purchasing our vehicles here. As for the negative reviews - which are few and far between - those are largely issues outside their control (i.e. supply chain, service contracts, etc.). The deals here are the best in town, the cars are reliable, and the people are honest and hardworking. Shout out to the 805!! The personnel is amazing! I needed an oil change and tire rotation. I had a coupon for $25 off they had sent me for Christmas. The man who helped me, Roland, was so personable and he explained everything to me. He showed me the prices and info on his computer, all the while keeping up a friendly conversation. When I got my car back, it was washed and fixed just like I needed it to be. I will definitely be going back for my next service!

The customer service and online appointment process was good, but I was surprised to be charged $180 to repair an air bag part that is a known problem for my Hyundai and covered by the warranty. I told the dealer what the problem was in advance, because I had already taken it to another mechanic. The dealer turned around and charged me $180 as a diagnostic fee to confirm that this was indeed the problem. The repair was free but I didnt appreciate the extra fee.

Francisco was our car salesman. The first time my partner and I went to Oxnard Hyundai Francisco showed us all around the lot explaining the advantages of the different model types. We are musicians and our needs were a large trunk space and back seats that fold down. We ended up loving the Sonata and the color was silver blue pearl. Francisco was so friendly and down to earth and we felt that he really did care about us and our needs. We were still checking out cars and he was very gracious and understanding.When we came back a couple of weeks later, the Sonata we liked had been sold so Francisco had a driver go to LA to drive the car I wanted up to Oxnard. I had to wait for the car and it was worth it. Francisco wanted me to be happy and he was willing to go out of his way to make that happen. Mr. Kim the sales manager was also very cordial and so was the finance officer. In fact everyone we encountered was very helpful and friendly.I am thrilled with my new Sonata and I am thrilled with the service I received from Francisco. He works hard and is simply a wonderful person you can trust. He genuinely cares and is so personable that you feel right at home. I recommend Oxnard Hyundai and Francisco. I wish hiim all the luck.

My first contact with the dealership was with Scott Glen and from the first email to signing the final papers to follow up after, this car buying experience was amazing. By far the best Ive ever had. I brought my brother with me who also agreed that he had never had an easier time buying a car. Scott was upfront and honest from the start and really knew everything about all the cars. Scott is very personable and enjoyable to talk with. I never felt pressure to buy the vehicle. I had done my research, Scott presented the product and the information which provided for an easy transaction. I would definitely recommend this dealership and for sure Scott. My husband and I were on the hunt for a new car. We knew we wanted something that was a few years old but had low mileage. We had been to a few dealerships before arriving at Hyundai and hadnt found anything we liked. Immediately we found two cards at Oxnard Hyundai that we liked. Scott was patient and informative as we asked him a bunch of questions and my husband and I both test drove two cars. We spent over two hours with Scott on our first day there. We werent ready to make a decision that day so Scott put the car on hold for us for 48 hrs. Were lucky he suggested that because just as we were leaving another person came to buy our car! We came back two days later and purchased the car. It was easy, no hassle experience. Scott had the car cleaned and ready for us when we got there. I would definitely recommend working with Scott and the Oxnard Hyundai team.

I usually just wait there but they do have a ride service too. I have been helped by Arturo each time. He is a lovely person who is soft spoken and has good manners. Overall a great experience!!!Bill is a wonderful representative for the Genesis brand. He worked his a$$ off to bring in the car that I was interested in.It took more time than anticipated, for two reasons, I changed the color/interior that I wanted (that car was NOT available), and traffic. My other choice car had to be brought in from a dealership about 80 miles away from Oxnard... it took time and Bill wanted to be certain that the car was properly detailed.I was sick and wanted nothing more than to get home with my new car... Bill arranged for the car to receive its full detail at a later date, he gave me a full 1 hour plus tutorial on how things work in the car... and offered follow up lessons!My first day with the Car, I had a question... I had forgot that he had a funeral to go to that day; but, he still took my call. We went into the dealership just to look around and get a feel for a particular car that we had been researching and were not intending to buy that day. However, the dealership was running an excellent special and discounts on the particular model of car that we were interested in. There as no high pressure sales pitch like you find at most dealerships. The atmosphere was very relaxed which made us both feel very comfortable while we discussed our potential purchase. Frank and Bill both went above and beyond to help us find an option that was affordable for us and fit into the figures that we felt comfortable with. We did end up making that purchase, even though when we first came in we didnt think we would be able to make the numbers work. Ive went to many dealerships trying to find the perfect car. My last dealership was Oxnard Hyundai. I met with a sale associate named Tony Lee and he was great. He answered all my questions and he was very passionate with he does. I hate going to dealerships when the sales associates are pushy and rude. That was not the experience I had here. Everyone was very helpful and happy. That is very rare to find. The next day I went back and Tony had the day off. I was a little hesitant to speak with someones because I felt comfortable with Tony. They introduced me to Francisco and he was great. He gave me more information and let me test drive the vehicle I fell in love with. The financing associates were also fantastic. Even after I purchased the vehicle Tony followed up with me to make sure everything was fine. Now anytime I have a quick question I call and he always has an answer. I will definitely be sending my family and friends to this dealership. I love my new Hyundai Sonata and I was offered a great deal :)

Although I did not set out to buy a car on that particular day, I purchased the Sonata because John Calabrano was so friendly and did not apply any pressure to make us buy. He was relaxed, professional, and knowledgeable. He was patient with us and answered all of our questions.After our test drive, we decided to listen to see what kind of deal John would make. We had only been talking to John around his desk for a few minutes when out comes David Kim, the Sales Manager. My wife goes in for first service for her Sonata. All service for 3 year lease is covered. She had an appointment and yet they make her wait for 90 min before even looking at her car. What is the point of making an appointment? I would have left. When they finally start working on her car they decide to sell her on an air filter and other stuff she doesn’t need that is NOT covered. Such a typical dealer trying to take advantage of a young woman. It’s gotten to the point I always have to be present so she isn’t taken advantage of. You get 1 star as you are unethical and opportunistic. See you at the next service.

I arrived early and within the hour I was getting very good results for my financing which hasnt been so good in the past. He was patient with me as I had my mother come to cosign with me and our conversations were enjoyable. I was very disappointed by my experience car shopping at Alexander Hyundai. The salesman I worked with, Fernando Amador, showed me a few cars on my first visit and presented me with some lease numbers for one I was interested in. I told him I was just starting my search but appreciated his time and I would be back. I came in four days later to show a couple friends the car I was interested in and get their opinions. I took them for a test drive with another associate while I waited for Fernando. One he was free he presented me with new rates that had shot up $45 per month from the numbers presented to me just four days earlier.When I questioned the dramatic increase he pawned it off that lease rates change everyday and tried to leave it at that. I then mentioned that other dealerships had offered me more on my trade-in and if they would match that and he scoffed at the idea. What made it even worse was the whole time he was acting like I was bothering him and was short in speaking with me and my friends. I was ready to go in and buy that car that day and the way I was treated made me never want to do business with him again. I felt like this was a bait and switch where he knew he could bump up the price when I was ready to buy to out some more money in his pocket at the end of the day. It took one of my friends saying if these are your best numbers then were out of here, and we got up and left.Not a good experience at all. I ended up leasing a car that same day with an incredible deal from an even more incredible sales person at Kirby Kia 5 minutes away where I felt like a valued customer and was treated with the respect a car buyer deserves.I may buy another Hyundai in my life but I will not step foot into Alexander Hyundai again and I hope people can learn from my experience so they dont waste their time either.

I wish I could say I got great service. The gentleman who handled my service after I was in the system was very nice and very clear. However, the man who I first dealt with (and who I dealt with in making the appointment) was rude, abrupt, and unhelpful. I felt like I was bothering him by bringing my car in for service. He misrepresented what the service would involve, and did not offer me estimates on tire and wheel rim repairs that he noted were needed -- so I figured I would just go to the local tire store, where they are much nicer.He needs to get another job if he cant treat customers with basic courtesy, and provide the services needed.

I went to this dealership because Hyundai was having a promotion where theyd give you a gift card if you went in to test drive a car. I went in and chose a couple models I was genuinely interested in driving. The salesmen was patient as I drove a couple of them and answered all my questions. He didnt try to rush me. But when I told him I wasnt necessarily looking to buy until maybe a year from now, he became very agitated. I had never driven a Hyundai before and never would have considered buying one until those test drives. His response was Well, I hope Im still here in a year, which showed me that he cared more about his commission than building any sort of brand loyalty or influencing a future Hyundai customer. It was, in my opinion, not just poor salesmanship but also a poor representation of Hyundai. I liked the cars, but my interaction with him left a lot to be desired.

I’m disappointed to have to update my review of Alexander Hyundai after some ~8 years as a customer and 12 years as a Hyundai owner. This last visit they begrudgingly agreed to do a final service on my 2010 Hyundai Elantra and said they would no longer service 2010 or older cars because they cannot get parts anymore. I asked if I can come in for an oil change and they said they wouldnt do that either… but I assume an oil change isn’t affected by covid supply chain issues. Luckily a family member says the Honda dealer nearby is willing to do an oil change for me when my Hyundai dealer wont on my Hyundai Elantra.I asked where in town to get a future service and they wouldn’t recommend anyone local but said I could go to the Hyundai dealership in Westlake (I live in Ventura 35 mins east of Westlake) who apparently will still service my 2010 Hyundai Elantra? I’d bump this down to a 1 of 5 stars but they didn’t try to upsell me too-too much in my previous ~8 years as a customer here so your experience may vary.At my final allowed appointment, my AC stopped working as soon as they touched it when replaced my AC belt… so then I needed to pay for them to fix my AC that was working before I took it in. When I asked why my AC would stop working after they touched it last, they rolled their eyes and said its an old car. They arnt wrong, and it could be as simple as replacing the old AC belt caused some pressure change that finally took out the lines... no biggie, but dont be rude to the customer about a genuine question. Ive spent thousands of dollars here over the last many years and am disappointed from what has been good service in the past.

I was in the market for a new fuel efficient car. I loved my Jeep but it was killing me every time I had to fill up. I did a lot research on line and went to a few dealer ships around my house in LA. I found Oxnard Hyundai on line and there pricing was so much less then the dealers in the Los Angeles area. So I decided to take the drive. From the moment my foot hit the ground I was treated as a VIP. Big John was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, he had the answers to the questions I did not even know I had! John helped me stay within in my budget and not get in over my head with monthly payments. Steve in the finance department made me feel like family as we went through the paper work. I arrived at 7pm and was finished at 11pm. Even though they close at 9 the entire staff stayed including the GM Charlie and the detailing guys in the back stayed late to make sure I had everything I needed. Big John helped me clean out my Jeep and consoled me as it was very hard to part with it. All in all this was by far the BEST place I have ever been to by a car. It was worth the drive to save THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!! And work with exceptional people. THANK YOU SO MUCH JOHN, BILL, STEVE, and CHARLIE you rock!!

This dealership is AMAZING! We pulled up yesterday and immediately were greeted by Francisco, very friendly and asked what we had in mind. My husband and I explained that we were fully expecting a purchase to be impossible given our situation but thought wed stop by just to see what the potential options were as we are very interested in purchasing a Santa Fe at some point. So - knowing full well and upfront that there was slim to no chance of selling a car to us, I expected they would lose interest, tell us it was probably best to wait a year or so, and come back later. Nope - Francisco actually reassured us that there was actually HOPE and showed us the 2012 certified used car on the lot which was exactly what were looking for. He then brought in Howard, the finance sales manager, to help us look at all the numbers and figure out what we needed to do to try to make this all work. They spent HOURS with us, answering our questions and discussing various scenarios and options with no guarantee of selling the car. They werent pushy or impatient, they were 100% open, honest, and just incredible. Howard kept in touch with me the rest of the evening about the various loan approvals, etc, and introduced me over the phone to Kris Warden, who would be speaking with the banks the next day since Howard would be out. The next day (TODAY), Kris was in constant contact with me throughout the day and Im excited to report that I have dumped my old terrible car and came home with my Santa Fe with an exceptionally reasonable monthly payment!!These guys went above and beyond for us so that we could be in the car we wanted to be in when we wanted to be in it. I had such negative hopes for this yesterday and now I have one in my driveway 24 hours later! Im almost in shock.My experiences with car lots and dealerships in the past have been pretty terrible. Pushy salesmen, finance guys who really dont want to answer your questions or help you out unless they know for sure you will be given a loan and you will buy their cars, fishy tactics, bad feelings, etc. Oxnard Hyundai was none of that. I am so impressed at my entire experience. They were even nice and friendly and hospitable to my two seven year old girls who were with us! They have a new loyal customer. The next time I need another car (or know someone is looking for one), Oxnard Hyundai will be my first and only choice.

I had to make an unexpected trip out of town when my low tire pressure light kept flashing. All four tires were at the correct pressure level. I pulled into Alexander Hyundai with no appointment. One of the sensors was bad so they replaced it. I waited in the lobby for about one hour. When my car was ready they had also washed it. The service advisor was very courteous and did explain the problem. It is what I would call no hassel courteous service.

I cant even begin to describe the unsurpassed customer service that this dealership gives to their customers; it was very touching to my boyfriend and I. We bought the car from this dealer almost a year ago and have had nothing but positive experience with them. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Our last visit was for scheduled maintenance. Normally I would have taken the vehicle to a local oil change place because prices at the dealership are typically higher, but to get the assured trade-in value, the service has to be performed at a Hyundai dealer. I literally called at least 20 + times this morning, and kept getting transfered around & around, & got caught up in voicemail hell. But, eventually, I got through to Service, and asked them if they did free brake inspections. I spoke with Rolando, & he said yes, and the next appointment was for August 19. Earlier this afternoon, I stopped by to see if I could get in any earlier I was told to pull over to the side and wait in the car. I was sitting there in the hot sun for half an hour and was never helped, so I left. I just called to make that appointment, and left a message. My call was returned by some lady, who said no they dont do free brake inspections solely & they only do it for free if you get a tire rotation. I came in to the dealership and talked with John about a used Santa Fe which he happily showed me. He then told me about the redesigned 2013 Santa Fe and got me to take a test drive. I really liked the car but didnt think I could afford it. He was able to get the payment to a reasonable amount but I wasnt ready to commit so I left. I called a family friend who is a broker, and he said he could get me the Santa Fe I wanted with less down and a lower monthly payment. I worked with him for a week but he never came through with financing. I finally gave up on my friend and went back to John at Oxnard. The vehicle I had test driven was gone and all they had left were upgraded models that cost significantly more. He ended up getting me the more valuable Santa Fe with less downpayment and the same monthly payment that my "friend" had promised. They changed locations since my last visit, no notifications received with the appointment reminders and no signs visible at eye level where sitting in my car waiting in a non-op facility full of new cars. Along with a couple other customers we found the need location to be greeted with a long line, I originally arrived at 8 for an 8:15 appt to beat the crowd. Besides waiting 2.5 hours for a simple oil change and wash and waiting for the service rep to process two entering cars even after my car was pulled out of the shop into the pickup area, my oil did get changed, I hope! Mechanics seem to have a lookout at the big door always looking at the customer waiting area... anyone can guess why. 2hrs for an oil change and wash. Had been a customer of Oxnard Hyundai prior to it changing hands. Alexander Hyundai opened and on my first service they explained to me that all my service records were gone. Past database not consistent with Alexander system, OK it can happen. I decided to continue service and repairs with Alexander and was satisfied. Today 10/06/2015 I attempted to get an appointment for an oil change, and I wanted to have the vehicle checked prior to taking a long trip. I tried all the phone numbers listed on their web site, none worked OK it can happen. I went on-line early morning and was able to chat with rep. explained I just needed an oil change. The rep got all my information and told me service would call me to set up appointment. Waited until late afternoon and no call. Went back on-line and chatted with another rep. (phones still didnt work) she was helpful and once again got my information and apologized for the mishap, and promised service would call me. It is now 7:30 pm and I am still waiting. I want to know just what I have to do to get them to give me an appointment for a simple oil change. This is not great customer service and it has left me with the notion that a real problem likely would be ignored as well. Not comfortable with these people and their idea of excellent customer service.

I travelled up and down the 101 Freeway, to three or four different auto malls, and test-drove twice that many cars. It didn’t take long to realize that the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid was far and away the best choice for me in terms of drive, fuel efficiency, and available technology. What I didn’t know was whether it was an affordable option. At about 7:00pm on a Sunday evening, I finally made it as far as the Oxnard Auto Mall, and headed straight to Hyundai. Yes, in general dealership service is higher. Generally due to certified technicians and OEM parts. Typically it saves you more $$$ over time when you take your Hyundai into AHoOxnard because you know the repair service you get wont void any warranties. Ask for Rolando Reyes. I recently purchased a new Tucson at this dealership and was very happy with Manny, the salesperson who sold me the vehicle. Thats where my satisfaction ends: It was quite an arduous process and I brought in my own approved financing but as soon as I sat down with Ben in the finance department, things seemed odd. I was required to sign an additional finance agreement for the full price of the car in case my pre-approved loan with a major bank wasnt funded. I purchased a specific car which the dealer had to get from another dealership as I wanted to have custom leather installed through the dealer and we agreed upon all this before signing papers and me purchasing the car that I did not leave with. A day or two later when I picked up my car, the paperwork from the finance department still had not been submitted to my bank for funding ( I kept checking daily and was very proactive). Frustrated, I called the finance dept several times only to find out that my finance advisor was out of the office for several days and had not submitted the paperwork to my bank. This went on for several days much to my dismay and I had to complain to the sales manager to finally get them to do their job and put the paperwork through. This left me very anxious wondering if I was going to be responsible for two loans on the same vehicle. This was just the beginning of what now has been a month long, ongoing situation that brings me to my main complaint: It took almost two weeks for the dealership to even contact me regarding the leather seats, headrests and door panels I had ordered and paid for. Once installed. I noticed a difference in several of the seats and questioned the authenticity and quality of the product. I suspected, and later verified, that the bulk of the back seat and all four headrests are in fact vinyl, possibly the door panels too. I contacted the dealership several times and left messages regarding this with them only to get a response almost a week later, three weeks after my purchase. Everyone is passing the buck with the dealership referring me to the upholsterer who was out of town, but who I finally talked to saying that the manufacturer sends this product as a kit and its what the dealer ordered. After making zero headway with Alexander Hyundai, and mostly speaking with JJ in the service department (my initiating contact and 99% un-returned phone calls and messages) I am extremely disappointed that the sales manager, Felix and general manager, Donovan Kemp who have not only NOT taken steps to resolve this but havent even returned my phone calls or emails. This tells me that Alexander Hyundai has no regard for customer satisfaction, lacks integrity and is completely dishonest. I ordered and paid for Katskin LEATHER and there was NEVER mention of vinyl or partial vinyl. The dealership flat out lied and has made zero attempt to admit or make right their deceptive action.

Purchased a low mileage, used vehicle from this dealer and thought that all was well until about a week later.Due to a glitch, I was not able to take the vehicle home the day that I went to buy it, and instead had the vehicle delivered to my house the next day since I lived so far away from the dealer. The car arrived and I did the paperwork, errors in my address on the paperwork meant that I would need to re-sign some paperwork later on.The car was supposedly washed before they brought it to me, but you could see bugs and such on the windshield since he had to drive 45 minutes to get to me.Everything seemed fine and I went about driving it for about a week until I decided to wash it...that is when I noticed that what I thought had been a gnat on the windshield, was actually a small chip instead. I reached out via text to the salesman, however, I did not hear back from him. A few more days went by, and I reached out to the dealership and was told that I needed to speak to the salesman, so I left a message for him. On Saturday, I waited most of the next morning to hear from him and then decided to call him myself, I got through to him. I explained the situation and he told me that I needed to talk to the internet manager and gave me his number.Not wanting to wait, I reached out to the internet manager (Steve) and told him the situation and informed him that I was going to attempt to have the chip filled since I did not want to wait any longer or have the chip get worse. Steve asked me to send him a copy of the invoice and that he would see about getting me reimbursed for the cost (approx $140).As it turned out, the chip was unrepairable and I was now going to need a new windshield at the cost of $500 +. I called Steve and informed him of this and he requested that I send him the estimate so that he could see about getting that cost taken care of, and that he would need to wait until Monday to sort this out. I sent Steve the quote on Sunday.True to his word, Steve sent me a text on Monday morning, informing me that the dealership was not going to take responsibility for the chip, much less the whole windshield. His claim was that it had taken me too long to report this. Steve then went on to add that he could take it up with his boss, but then quickly reversed it and said that I needed to talk to them. There are apparently 2 people above Steve, but I was only given the name and number of 1 of them, Felix.I immediately called Felix and was greeted with a voicemail, to which I left a message. 2 1/2 hours later, still no response from Felix and I get the sinking suspicion that I am not going to hear from him so I call again and you guessed it....voice mail again. Another message and an hour later, still nothing, so I wrote this review in anticipation of not hearing from Felix.Edit: Only after seeing this review did I receive a phone call from Felix who was unsympathetic and refused to help or compromise.Report to Better Business Bureau filed

I showed up early for a test drive appt with someone named Fernando, which I had scheduled online and was confirmed via phone. The phone agent (sounded like a national call center) strongly encouraged me to jump through hoops to secure the $50 test drive gift card, which I did.I showed up 10 mins before my appt time but nobody greeted me in the showroom for about 6 or 7 minutes. At that time, I was directed to walk to the far side of the lot to the vehicle and he would follow me soon. We waited by the car I was going to test drive for about 10 mins and then walked back to the showroom, as it was getting quite hot. There, the gentlemen said he was going to hand me off to another person... 15 mins later and not without a few new miscommunications, we were finally driving the car I had requested to drive with an agent named Omar. Then I found out that the $50 gift card program wasn’t honored at this dealership... not that I really cared, but corporate doesn’t know it’s right hand from it’s left as far as the reality in the field and i’m a bit angry that they had me run through those steps in vain.Omar apologized for the treatment (or lack thereof) thus far but I was disappointed to not see that the quotes he promised to send me via email after 4 days. I even confirmed with him that he would send them to me so I could compare the cars we discussed.When I asked about appraisal of my trade in, he was sorry to inform me that they did not have someone on site to do the appraisal that day. Talk about an utter and complete breakdown on all fronts!So... If it wasn’t clear already from this story, here’s the constructive feedback:Nobody honored or kept their word with me. Only one person made amends (for another person). I really value integrity and my request is that Fernando and Omar honor their word and follow up with me. I was genuinely interested in the car, but I can’t say I trust working with the people here.Unsolicited advice: Teach your sales people to practice keeping their word or at the very least, honoring it (when they can’t keep it). Maybe send them to the landmark forum or maybe just print out the definition of integrity from the dictionary, along with a few live examples of what it means to practice integrity in business settings.Btw— I went across the street to Toyota right after this 2 hr mess and was greeted instantly, before I even got into the showroom, and was handed off to the person with whom I had an appt within 60 seconds... he had the car I requested to test drive parked in front, ready to go, answered my questions, offered to have my vehicle appraised quickly and effectively and followed up with me by the end of the day on the quotes and prices.So, to the GM at Hyundai— why don’t you just send your guys undercover to Toyota for a 101 course in sales etiquette, calendaring and basic customer service. Always good to know your competition, too, right!?

Started looking for a small SUV to accommodate our new family addition. Some sales people just cant hear that and push you to buy TODAY or they wont even give you the time of day.Fast forward 3 weeks and we decided to go with a Tucson over a CRV and John helped close the sale. Oxnard hyundai is very far from where I live (about an hour and a half to two), but when I saw the deals they had on their genesis coupes I had to go out there to snag my current car. My entire experience was handled by Francisco Vasquez who was a delight to work with. He found my car and held if for me until I was able to drive down and buy it. Think twice about buying a car from here, because of the customer service issues you will encounter when bringing your car for service. Every time I call the service dept it goes to voicemail and no one ever picks up the phone. If you go to Honda or Toyota you never experience this problem. Since I am a fan of Hyundai (in all fairness to my Hyundai Tucson, I never had any problems with it), I decided that I will get a Hyundai again. After, looking for cars, I finally decided to get the Ioniq. So I had them ran my credit. They found out that I can only be approved for $24,000. I was disappointed. So I went online to get a better deal. I talked to the dealers within 50-80 miles radius and got their offers. I finally decided to get the car from Long Beach with a really good price and 0% APR for a Hyundai Ioniq Limited with Ultimate. With the combination of my credit and my moms, I know that there is a big chance that we will be approved.When Manny found that out, he offered to price match it. They also have the same promotion of 0% APR for 60 months. And since I am an Uber driver, there was a $1000 less which is great. That was our deal and all. They ran my credit and my moms. After 5-10 minutes, Manny went back to us and gave us the good new that we were approved. With the help of the Sales Manager (I totally forgot his name, my apologies) by making sure to give us all the help we can get to have the car with all these terms. When he finally fixed what is needed to be fixed, we agreed to get the car. So I put $1000 as downpayment and Bret, financial advisor, showed us the breakdown of payment, made us sign the papers including all those terms...FrustrationsJuly 9 2018, as I was about to approach my car and open it with my car key, it doesnt want to open. No matter how I try, the door cannot be unlocked. So I was like okay, I have a spare key anyway. I went back to my house and took the spare key. I tried it and still, it did not work. I tried other options that I can possibly do, but no luck. Then I remember, there is a feature installed with this car, the BlueLink. I can remotely lock my car and unlock my car are just one of the features of this app where I can use my cellphone to perform it for me. So I tried to unlock it using the BlueLink, but still no luck. I called the 1-800 of Hyundai and directed me to BlueLink. Unfortunately, the representative cannot open it successfully either. Even on his end, he cannot do anything...seriously? The last option is the road side assistance. After an hour and a half, he came. He tried the same method that I did, but he was unsuccessful as well. He opened it with a balloon-like by the door and opened it with a metal. Most of the cars nowadays, if someone will force to open a car, it will alarm, mine did not. After trying to figure out what to do together with the towing guy, he pressed the button for the battery and everything went fine. So I decided to go to Alexander Hyundai to report what happened.The fact that this is a new car, I expect more that is why I am really annoyed. Sure I get that that nothing in this world is perfect but still, no one will expect that in six days after they bought a new car that is the best of its kind....After seven days, Bret told us to come back. To make the story short, things turned out bad. He informed us that the banks concluded that we have to pay 6+% APR and in 72 mos. We were like really? We ended up giving back the car. First of all, you guys ran our credit. And it was approved by the manager. Someone told us that this was the first that that happened? Like why on us?Sorry guys, I want to tell more and the full details of this incident but my post is limited. I might continue this on Yelp and other sites.Final WordActually, this is somewhat okay. It is really frustrating but I think this is not for me. But please, if you have a promotion, make sure to put notice such as exclusions apply because you are doing a FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. The employees were friendly and really worked around my situation as far as establishing ensurance and getting the best deal possible with little credit. I did a lot of research online prior to selecting the next vehicle I wanted. 348 HP and a 3.8L engine for under $30K.....cant beat it. Having decided on the Hyundai 3.8 Genesis Coupe I was chagrined to learn there were only about 3 of them in the State of California in the color and style I wanted (manual 6 speed, black exterior). No problem for Howard and Scottie at Oxnard Hyundai. They quickly found the car I wanted and arranged to have it brought the Oxnard - something my local Hyundai dealer was uninterested in doing. They also knew all about the car - the specs, the pros, the cons, and Scottie even programed my iphone to work directly with the cars electronics. They were professional, personable, and made the experience a very positive one. This is in stark contrast to the typical experiences Ive had in car dealerships, leaving me with feeling that I need to wash the slime and sleaze off for days after.Thanks so much guys.Jason

After hunting for weeks, Francisco and Howard at OH worked with me and gave me the deal I wanted (and couldnt refuse). No pressure tactics (although I was already pre-approved elsewhere) and any questions or issues I had were quickly resolved in a friendly and professional manner (I would give it 4.5 stars if I could). I have had some real poopy car experiences and my experience here takes the cake by far! Oh, and I even drove 3 hours to get here...and they included a full tank of gas (which dealerships are not required to do..). Very satisfied customer!!

Service department lacks Service! My son waited 4 hours, for a scheduled oil change. I gave them another chance and left two voicemails on two separate occasions to schedule my scheduled maintenance and I never received a call back!
