We went in last week searching for salmon. My girlfriend has a great salmon dish she makes (shes from the Oregon Coast where seafood is always fresh); shes picky with her fish! Stephen in the meat/seafood department offered his suggestion of the salmon here and did not disappoint! Thank you Stephen! Well definitely be back.

I just moved here. Finding this Albertsons so close to my home is a delight. The store is clean, well stocked, and has wide aisles. One of the nicest stores Ive found in San Marcos. The staff have been friendly & very helpful.

The customer service here is wonderful! My special order cake for my moms birthday was messed up at another store so I called this store. They told me to bring in the cake, redid the decorations, got it done right away so I could still get to the party on time and didnt charge me even though they werent the ones who messed it up. I cant remember the managers name who helped my today, but she and the whole bakery department saved the day for us! My mom loved her cake and it got lots of compliments. Thank you! (If the cake looks small it is because I took this photo after we ate half the cake)

Accessibility: accessible/handicap parking spots across from the front entrance, one or two motorized shopping carts plus regular shopping carts and baskets available. Doors to enter the building are motion-activated and it is air conditioned inside the store. Restrooms inside have a larger, accessible stall.Experience: normally Albertsons is a little pricey so I dont shop here but lately they have had great deals! I got buy one get one free eggs (carton of 12 each), and they had other frozen foods for as low as 1 dollar! Love that. Ill definitely come back with those kinds of deals. The employees are nice here too.

Excellent customer service help. I visited the one on Woodland Parkway, San Marcos. I was looking for habanero peppers but couldnt find any in the produce section and no one was in the section to assist at the time. Richard was unpacking groceries in the yogurt section and agreed to assist me. He walked over and showed me exactly where they were and gave me a tip on how to make a great sauce. Thanks Richard!

Jon the guy with the mustache who works in produce with the fruits and vegetables is a violent jerk. Im surprised a chain like Albertsons would allow a lunatic like him to work there who handles food. Also not just Jon. The whole store there so RUDE. Will never step inside this grocery store ever again not to mention most of there items are expired like bread, cheese, meat etc. they leave it on the shelf like they don’t care about their jobs. Be warned. I think the city should inspect this harsh grocery store. I also noticed the owner has not gotten back to me on this review I’m the only one the owner has not gotten back to. So that tells me something and should tell you somethingPeople you have been warned. Store is terrible

Albertsons is probably the grocery store that I frequent most often, for several reasons. First off, its the ease of access and convenience in location that I find to be the most appealing. The second reason, is of course the consistent offering of essential products that I need to buy, every week, every month, and every year. I can rely on Albertsons to not only have the products I need to survive, but to also stay in business and keep their doors open and their shelves stocked even in the face of a potential apocalypse! Gotta give props to my neighborhood grocery store!

I live 2 minutes from this store and everytime I visit, I am treated well. The hospitality here is unreal! The cashiers work hard, they are friendly, and they do their jobs. I love this Albertsons. Thank you for womderful customer service!

My tote bag was stolen in this store and I feel it was the cashier, since I left it on top of my food in the check out. I only turned around to talk to my kids and when I turned back it was gone. and they told me they would check the cameras and call me back. They never called me . And I never got my tote bag back. I just wished they would of called back

Every visit is a bad experience. I’m only giving them 2 stars because the staff (what little there is) is very friendly and helpful. BUT, there are several problems with this store.First, the parking lot. Every single time I go to this store, people are speeding while driving diagonally across the parking lot, with absolutely no regard to the safety of others. The things where you return the carts are loose and often take up multiple parking spots, and usually are full of carts, which tells me they don’t have enough people to even go get them.In the store, the handheld baskets are in next to the exit, rather than the entrance, so if you’re trying to be a nice person and walk in the entrance so other people can leave via the exit, you’ll be looking around wondering if this store even has any baskets. And that’s only if they aren’t all piled up next to all the cash registers. Again, not enough employees to put those back where they belong.The shelves are generally well stocked, and the floors are usually nice and clean, so you’re likely to find what you’re looking for, and without stepping in anything in the process.And then there’s the registers… No self checkout? WHY?! There is usually only one register open, and there is always a line. I went in today and there were two registers open with very long lines at each one, full of frustrated customers. To make matters worse, the registers weren’t processing credit cards correctly, so every transaction was about 10 times longer than it needed to be. It’s ridiculous to me that they have so many unused registers, taking up space, and no self checkout, while the one or two cashiers are having to deal with people who’ve been standing in line longer than it took them to do all of their shopping.

I used to go to the school, so I got Starbucks so frequent and always got the same thing. Every-time it was made different or missed something, go to another Starbucks please trust me. Also the lines get huge because of everyone from the school.

Very well maintained store for the last few years. The store is 98% is always stocked only time it is not is when they restocking certain low inventory items. Only problem about the store is not enough employees and trained cashiers to work during important time; holidays, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special days.

Thank you for having a nice bathroom but why is it 800 degrees inside? You can feel that the heater is on full blast, it’s hotter inside the store than outside and it’s 80 degrees outside. Literally feels like an oven. Uncomfortably hot!

I had the worst experience returning an item to this store that I shop at frequently. Today I tried to return a bag of coleslaw that was angel hair cut and exchange it for the regular bag. (Even exchanged unopened bag) I was told it wasn’t her problem that I purchased the wrong one and I should have thought about what item I needed before I purchased it and it wasn’t her problem (Jackie) I love this store it is close to my home and the people that work there are all really great except for Jackie the store manager. She is the rudest person I’ve ever met in my entire life and makes me always feel awful before I leave her store. I don’t think she’s a very good example for her Peers to look up to her I actually think somebody should go in there and review the situation so we all can have a better life in our community.

This is my neighborhood supermarket. I feel famous when I walk in, every employee knows my name and says hello. Several times, theyve been willing to order things they dont regularly carry. Once, a cashier lent me money when I forgot my wallet.

If you havent try their zesty breaded chicken wings at the Deli Department then you are missing out. They are delicious and tasty. Sure there are a variety of flavor cooked wings but those give it a try. Would be nice if they have a self checkout system because it sure gets busy at that store.

Excellent customer service in the bakery!!!!! I preordered 8 dozen donuts for pick up today mothers day weekend and when I arrived I was so tired I didnt notice 4 dozen was all they had given me. The bakers quickly reviewed the order and came to find me to apologize and let me know. She then proceed to help me get 4 more dozen. Great recovery!! Just love when people got out of there way to make the situation right!!! Great job:)

Went for a quiet, pleasant walk on a clean, clear trail not made of concrete. Beautiful views, no cars zooming by loudly spewing exhaust. Very few people there around 9am. I dont know what its like when school is in session, with Mission Hills HS being right there. Very relaxing today. A real gem.

Overall they have good prices and variety of items to choose from. Their checkout times are horrendous. They recently got rid of their self checkout. This has tripled the wait time. Its also important to check the seals of items here. We have bought quite a few products that turned out to be already opened,including milk and ice cream.

Every time the checkout line has been EXTREMELY long and we’ve waiting approximately 10 minutes sometimes longer each time to buy our groceries. Edited down to 1 star since they took out self check out and now the lines are ridiculous because cashiers are slow. What used to be 5 minutes in and out is not 20 to 30. Save the headache and pass on this location.okay grocery store, sometimes the fruit looks a little old and Ive brought home packaged product that was opened without realizing it so i think work can be done with inspection but other than that staff is friendly and the store is clean. I rarely have to wait in line long to check out and can get in and out in a matter of minutes if I know exactly what Im getting so its convenient.

I was at this location Friday, August 14, 2020. There were 2 young men that weren’t wearing masks. I asked the checker if masks were mandatory and he said yes. So I asked the young men why they didn’t have on masks and they replied that they left them at home. The checker did not bother to address the issue. I called the store manager today and was on hold 15 minutes to speak to a manager named Nancy who told me that they do enforce masks and that she will speak to her management team. I will follow up this comment with a call to Albertsons Corporate office Monday morning.

The Albertsons at Woodland Pkwy does not have a self check out. Also...there were only 2 lines open because one of them closed...and then, when I was finally up to get my groceries...the checker closed that line as well. I was her last customer. I am giving 5 Stars because I dont feel that people who serve the public should be scored by the public. We, the public, do not work for Albertsons. I should not have to take the time to tell you I had to wait too long in line and that multiple lines were closing at the same time. But, this is what happened. My groceries were fresh and delicious and the checker that scanned my goods was very nice.

This store is not very clean . Theres always a line more then 3s a crowd. When asked a checker about opening up another check stand we have a line forming thats 4 to 5 deep in many check stand. I am told they dont do 3s a crowd anymore. I said then you need to remove the signs. Also they have cranky checkers. No one that I ever encounter with seems happy. I am at this store at least 3 times a week. Only because its so close to my house. My favorite choice is Ralphs grocery store. This store as well as all Vons.that I have shopped at are dirty and employees are not happy.

Its a pretty average Albertsons. Always expect to wait in a line here. They had self check out lines but removed them to put in more express checkout lines, which would be fantastic if they were actually staffed. They basically removed the fastest checkout option they had in favor of a system that required something they are already short on: manpower.

This is the closest grocery store to our house and it is still typically faster and more pleasant to drive an extra couple miles to Ralphs or Stater Brothers. It wasnt quite this bad before they removed the self checkout, but now its just insulting when youre the 5th person in line at the only check stand open and everywhere you look are signs about how there are never more than 3 customers per line.

One of the worst Albertsons Ive ever shopped at displays are overcrowded and poorly place. Dinner hour crowds and two checkers one vheckstand could only handle cash transactions.Stock boy bagger knew more about the registers than the clerks. The checkout clerk was extremely slow taking 3 minutes for a 5 goods sale. Its apparent to me that new management is needed to motivate this store. After being in line for twenty minutes for checkout I doubt Ill shop there anytime soon. Slater brothers is just down the street an much more shopper friendly.

Most of the staff are great. All but one due to her lack of common sense for asking me if I need help while Im standing at the customer service area. I kindly replied, No just to see what she would do and she actually accepted that as an answer even and moved on even though Im standing there with moldy bread that Im trying to return. The time before that I told her that the BoltHouse chocolate beverage I purchased might be bad because this was the second one I bought and it was like chunks of pudding instead of a smooth, creamy chocolate drink. She said with full confidence, Thats the way theyre supposed to be. Its a thick and chunky type drink. Even though the bottle states smooth, creamy etc. I just came in later and spoke to one of the guys but before I could explain what was wrong he kindly and sanely informed me that BoltHouse Chocolate drinks have been recalled and he gave me a refund.. So in closing my rant, this woman that works up front is a complete moron but is always entertaining. The other issue I have is that Albertsons is way too expensive at times.

I go here as rarely as humanly possible. Theres always a huge line, they never open up new lines, and I feel like the signage in the store is purposefully really bad so you have to wander around the aisles looking for stuff - Im assuming their market research has told them this increases the average customer spend or something stupid like that. Ive come to shop more often at the San Marcos Albertsons . Our neighborhood store . Albertsons offen have great sale items . I enjoy their clearance selves located in the back of their stores . I always go check to see if I find clearance items on sale at discounted better pricing !At 1st it seemed that I would be the only one browsing thru clearance items now Ive seen more shopppers browing thru themselves ! And thats great because I believe in shopping our neighbor hood stores is great, not only for myself to get out & hand pick my items but also to help keep our neighborhood stores / shops / or any other buisness type area open for buisness to help provide us easy shopping services !

Just like other albertsons stores you have highet prices. Its corporate but its in a small area with close knit area where people know each other. The store is clean and organized whenever I go in. Its convenient to have a Redbox, Starbucks, and Wells Fargo as soon as you walk in. The meats and produce are good quality but priced highly. You find a good deal once in a while. Its better as a place to buy your few essential groceries in a quick minute. Its next to CVS. just buy your groceries and get you medicine same time. The cashiers are nice enough. Theres a Stated Brothers 1 minute away which I prefer.
