I had an incredible shopping experience. All of the staff were super friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend shopping here, and I will definitely be returning. I had the pleasure of talking to the store manager, Tina, and she was able to answer all of my questions, as well as help me with everything that I needed. They provide quality products with very good deals, and made grocery shopping a wonderful experience.

I appreciate that I can get a single piece of baked chicken. Like a thigh, drumstick or chicken breast.I dont like deep fried and most grocery stores only sell this.I like having the healthier option and not having to buy the entire chicken.Also, good selection of sushi and they have specials where some are $5.00/each per roll.

Consistently has long checkout lines with only one cashier working and about 10% of the items you want will be out of stock. The beef is pretty expensive too when the cut you want is actually there. Often there won’t be any carts at the door and the whole customer service experience is not great. At this point I’d rather just drive twice as far to go to another grocery store.

True SUPERmarket boasting farm fresh fruits and vegetables, oven baked bread, pastries and donuts, an abundance of plants and flowers, not to mention an amazing selection of local wines and craft beers. Even a Starbucks inside to boot.

I live in Isla Vista at the dorms and this is my go to place to shop. Its very close to the student housing in Isla Vista and the prices are reasonable. Generally speaking, the staff has been very friendly. I will continue shopping here as long as I live close by.

The store manager America is terrible and discriminates against Asians. Words cannot express how deeply disappointed and sad I am about the blatant discrimination I encountered in this Albertsons store. When I tried to buy a gift card displayed on the shelf, the manager America told the cashier to not help me check out even I showed her my valid ID and credit card with my name on it. However, America still did not allow the cashier to finish the transaction and accused Asians of being liars and criminals. The blatant anti-Asian racism shown by the manager America is unacceptable, and Albertsons should take immediate action to address this issue. If Albertsons decide to not sell gift cards to Asians, please make it clear and public. Otherwise, Asians should be treated equally and fairly in Albertsons.

Luv this place in Santa Barbara! They have a great selection of products. Convenient location near freeway and public transportation. Not much parking, plenty of bike racks. The service staff is very helpful and pleasant. I would like to point out to staff member Roque, he saw me struggling trying to get an item from the top shelf and without having to ask the young man helped me. He was very kind and took his time directing me around the store. It was my hubby Wilsons first time shopping at this store, he was amazed and delighted with his experience, thanks to Roque. Nice to know that a nice, polite, sophisticated, educated, honorable, and resourceful young man like Roque is working at my now favorite grocery store, Albertsons.Will be coming back every week for my groceries.10/10 grocery store100/10 staff

Fresh produce and overall a great place to buy your grocery. Plentiful self-checkout kiosks available. Cash operated California Lottery machine is available too. They have a bakery section and fresh baked goods are available to shop.

I have been shopping here since 1990, and its been ok. Ive noticed any other grocery store, literally, has better prices. Trader Joes has 50 % off on items. Amazon, 70% off on items. They are ripping off students (and their parents), and local seniors. Shame on you !!!

The management at this store has really gone downhill. I know it is hard with the pandemic, and finding and keeping good help. But it seems every other store I stop at lately is doing just fine. Yet this one cant seem to keep their employees. There are busy nights when the deli section is closed down early, and they dont even put some things out before they leave, like the whole roasted chickens. At least make a big batch and put them out before you leave!! Maybe we were counting on that for dinner!I was there on a Saturday evening recently, where there was only ONE checkout person, and the line was wrapped around the whole store! After waiting a half hour with the line barely moving, I went to talk to customer service. I asked the guy behind the counter, who was just standing there, why he wasnt calling for more checkout people. And he said he was off the clock. He clearly couldnt care less. I asked where the manager was, and he said the manager was helping out in the deli.Helping out in the deli, when there were at least 50 angry people standing in line?? People in line next to me were calling the phone number of the store, to talk to a manager. And no one answered. We just couldnt get anyones attention at all. No one cared. And the poor guy who was running the only open checkout line was getting hammered by all of these angry people. Maybe this is why you cant keep employees!!Some were talking about just walking out with their full carts, to see if anyone would even notice. I just left, and went to a different store. One that was much better run.And my biggest beef with this store is that they over saturate their produce in the produce section. I would do all of my shopping here, since I live right across the street. But no, I have to go somewhere else like Whole Foods to get CILANTRO, because the cilantro that you sell is completely sopping wet. Do you know what happens when we buy cilantro that is soaking wet and we put it in a plastic bag?? You guessed it, it is completely rotten the very next day. Even if we try to dry it out when we get it home. It is dripping with water, so it is impossible to dry off without ruining it.Places like Whole Foods very lightly *mist* their cilantro, and it lasts in my refrigerator for a week or more. With yours I am lucky to get 24 hours before it is rotten mush. I have tried to communicate this to customer service, but they simply do not care.This place used to be run great. I hope management can turn it around, or that they get new management.

Clean, quality meat and have a good potion package for a small family of 2 although the price is a little higher, but you get what you paid for. If you ever look for a whole duck. You would find it here in their freezer section. Ask folks who work there to lead you directly where to find it.

Tina needs to goI was verbally harassed and picked on constantly by her. I’ve never had a worse boss. She consistently berates employees and is extremely disrespectful. She refuses to hire enough staff so we were consistently understaffed, and people hated her so much we were steadily losing employees. It was such a terrible work environment and employees are not respected at all. They say they’ll work around a student schedule but consistently schedule you during class so you have to fight to get the days off you need.

The customer service is horrible, especially the guys behind the meat counter are terrible. After waiting for 15 minutes for somebody to show up, we got yelled at and the anger in the guys face was obviously. We turned around and left the store and got our stuff somewhere else. The meat and the seafood didnt look fresh anyways. This was not the first time. We had some similar encounter before at this store. Well, never again!

Well stocked, well laid out. Somewhat crowded floors, lots of students at some times. Meat and Produce sections are well staffed and provisioned. The deli has good service, the best deal is their Friday Fivers. Overall, a weekly shopping experience for the family, and the changes I would like to see are fairly minor.

Are you serious? First time I try Albertsons sushi. Gave me food poisoning. I have been in and out of the toilet having diareha, and throwing up.STAY the hell away from the sushi here unless you want to end up losing 15 lbs in under 24 hours.Currently have the chills ans want to kill myself badly. One of only a few chain grocery stores in Santa Barbara County. The store is generally uncrowded and well stocked. Smaller than most, I guess since this is a small town, but it has everything you need: deli, produce, meat, flowers, even a Starbucks. I love to use the app, once week it sends me a free item and digital deals.

Easy parking, clean, well lit store, was able to get in and out quickly. Staff was polite. Reasonable prices and good selection. Overall very convenient and located alongside my usual routine drive. Will be shopping here again. They can also do special orders if you are looking for special or hard to find items.

This Albertsons in Goleta, by the DMV is excellent!! Its huge! It carries lots of things other grocery stores in town lack. I think because it serves the entire city of Goleta and UCSB. It had the specialty ingredients I needed for Thanksgiving. I have food allergies and this store was the only place (according to Google) that could accommodate all of the items needed in one place with decent prices. Check them out, worth the drive.

A brother of Safeway, this place never disappointed us during our stay at Goleta. It had fresh dairy, vegetables all the time. The store was accessible and is located at nice place. One can easily see this place at traffic. The staff of the store is nice and polite. They are willing to help all the time and are super courteous.

Its your average grocery shopping however the helpfulness and organization of this Albertsons is why I am giving if a 5 out 5. Experiences there very bit overall it is to me among the better big chain grocery stores. I recommend this though most of the grocery stores in the area are among the same so dont have to drive out of your way. Always find what is needed at this location, consistently.

Im going to give it 4 stars because this store to me is a child hood memory especially when it was Luckys how i miss that name. Plus i ran into My Best Friend in there we ve been Besties for over 19 years. The service was always great never a problem. Starbucks the workers and their drinks deserve 5 stars:) Some months back i paid my ítems through the self checkout my children were scanning items and my partner my boys father is bald and i felt like the cashier might have thought we were trying to steal. Everything seemed fine was ready to pay with our EBT Card which is nobodys business in whatever store we pay etc. The female cashier came up to us and started counting our items. I worked at Kmart for years and we had self checkouts. I would do my job and minded my own business. I dont recall ever making customers feel uncomfortable because in retail thats not part of the job. This store does have some very good workers and im glad ive ran into them. Some have even been there for many years. I would give 5 stars i just didnt appreciate that one experience that one time and i dont like to go through self checkouts no more. kmarts didnt seem so troubling and if they were we would get on them so that customers would leave happily:)

The store seems old and in need of some renovation. We were there on Christmas Eve and it was a zoo, which may explain the lack of customer service from our 2 interactions with store employees. All the registers were open so someone was thinking, but there was no one in line behind us when our cashier decided she had to count all the cash in her drawer and call for a pickup. We had just a few items, but she couldnt wait.... But it is Christmas......

The produce is fresh, the store is clean. This week La Croix 12. Pack seltzer water is $2.99. There is a big choice of fresh bakery items and their bouquets are priced well $12.99and $16.99. Employees are helpful. It is worth the visit.

You have to be very careful when shopping here. Weve noticed expired diary items on the shelves, and every time weve gone for milk there are few items that dont expire within the upcoming week.I dont want to shop at a grocery store where they leave expired items or items nearly expired on the shelf. Its just not right. Unfortunately, even with the horrific lines its the most convenient option for us.

My complaint isn’t so much for Albertsons itself but for the Starbucks in the store! The girl at the counter “Kim” was so rude and didn’t know what she was doing and attempted to charge me 11 dollars for a grande ice coffee because she wanted to charge me $.50 for every extra pump of sugar free vanilla syrup. Then I also asked for a Java chip frap and she made me a vanilla bean with Java chips…. When I told her it was supposed to have coffee she asked me what I wanted it to taste like?! I was very confused since she is the bartista and me the customer..?! Over all she was very rude and tried to over charge and made the drinks horrible!

So disappointed in the new store! 5 items i buy a lot are not being stocked anymore. They dont carry cube steak anymore and refuse to make one for me (run it through the tenderizer) Lines are long and new staff is fake friendly not like everyone they let go who knew my name. i am still upset they let go all of the special needs baggers who were also friendly and needed those jobs! They also raised the prices on many things. Cant say i care to spend my money there any longer. Sprouts is my new favorite store!

Rude staff, poor selection, overpriced, and many products consistently out of stock—management clearly incompetent at keeping inventory.If you have a genuine issue with a food product you purchased and try to return it, then the manager will literally argue with you down to the smallest details until he has the last word. Manager clearly values food costs more than he values doing right by the customer.Do not purchase alcohol here. If you come with family or friends then the cashier will literally ask each person in your party for their ID—even if they are shopping entirely separately. If the family/friends don’t have their ID on them, then the cashier will prevent you from purchasing the alcohol (and will probably be nasty about it too).Had been shopping here for two years. Will be shopping at Ralphs from now on.

This Albertsons is okay if I need something in a hurry. But under normal shopping circumstances I would recommend the other Albertsons, Vons, Smart and Final or Sprouts. The store is never that clean with random trash stuffed here and there in the isles. The place gets heavily visited by the college crowd which probably contributes to this too some extent. The staff have been fine whenever I go there but the cleanliness is what drives me elsewhere.

Very poor customer service. I am 31 weeks pregnant and came in to buy a cake for my birthday. The employee Jaime refused to help me to get a cake from the bakery display and refused to find someone who will help. I left in tears and went to Vons where they were more than happy to help me. Its not the first time the service is so bad at this location.

Check your expiration dates at this Albertsons carefully! We’ve been going to this Albertsons because it is so close and convenient, but at this point we have come home with so much food that we later find out is expired or nearly expired, it’s just not worth it. I just got deli ham from there yesterday that expired two days ago - appears to be a constant occurrence there, across all sorts of food, in our experience.

Always has stock on all the items I need. Ive been going to this store as long as I can remember. At least 40 years now. Will probably go for the next 40 years. If I could give zero stars I would. Unfortunately, I had a racist experience at Albertsons in Goleta on Hollister this evening with a cashier named Kyla. I identify as a black woman, Kyla belittled and constantly questioned the validity of my state issued Drivers License when I went to purchase alcohol. She drilled me about the fact that I had an out of state ID when I never even told her I lived in or was from California. She questioned how long I had lived in California among other things... completely inappropriate and out of line. She tried to act like it was against policy to sell to an out of state customer. There is no such law on the books. Racist and ignorant are the two worst combinations.I am currently seeking to speak with a manager and plan to reach out to their corporate office as well as local organizations for support. The experience I had was completely unacceptable and Ive never ever been talked down to the way this woman spoke to me while everyone else stood in line staring at me like I had just robbed the place.

On June 30, 2019 my husband and I were in your #27 Goleta store. My husband went to the Deli to have two sandwiches made. The deli employee was by herself and my husband asked her if she was going to be too busy to make our sandwiches. In a very sarcastic reply, she said why wouldnt I? My husband asked a second employee for the Manager, but the second employee called a third employee to come help in the Deli because there were several people in line. The new employee, Sam made our sandwiches and they were excellent and so was his service. The sarcastic employee, Tina needs additional training in customer service. Sams excellent service is the only reason I gave one star. Tina gets no stars.

This is your standard fare grocery store. Nothing fancy, decent prices. They have a deli and bakery. Baked goods are usually better than expected for a grocery store. There is a restroom for customers. Lines can get long when UCSB is in session. Open until at least midnight.

I tried one more time since this Albertsons is so close to my home, to get my husband his 25th birthday cake, I could tell the young man takin my order was confused, however we filled out a cake sheet and everything was written down correctly, for colorScheme I pointed to a cake on display a smaller one (originally I wanted a 1/4 sheet, display was a 1/8) poor guy was so confused he even ran out too my car to say the one on display is a different size than you want I tired to explain one more time I didnt not want an 1/8 I wanted 1/4. I pick it up for the party and it is a bite size cake 1/8, the one on display I am so disappointed did not have the filling (which my husband was mosh excited for) and was NOT the correct size. This needed to feed 15 grown men, it fed about 5. He did not give me a carbon copy, so I didnt know what to do about it and trying to explain what was wrong wouldve probably confused and then ruined the poor guys day. (Same guy when I picked it up) . . Not looking for a refund, just saying if this was for my sons first birthday, and if my husbsand wasnt such an easy going guy as he is, I wouldnt be so lenient. By the way tried calling for 2 days in a row to complain no answer from the front desk or bakery, guess this is the only way I can get it off my chest.VERY DISAPOINTED. That young man should NOT be in charge of taking cake orders.

This is one of the larger stores in the Goleta and Santa Barbara metropolitan area, and therefore there are more products and produce offering than the other Albertsons stores. Thats a plus! A minus is that Albertsons store lay-outs seem to be different from store to store, making it challenging and time-consuming for customers to find the needed items when one is not familiar with a particular store.
