UPDATE: Cashiers still mishandle produce at checkout. Ive seen one slide toss bananas and peaches across the counter after weighing them. Now I got sick from the deli fried chicken. On Friday 11/3/2023 I picked up the 8 piece (4 legs and 4 thighs) dark meat that occasionally will be on sale for $5 during their $5 Friday specials. At the time I showed up, there wasnt enough left to make a full set and had to wait a few more minutes for the next batch to be ready. When I got home I ate the 4 legs and some snack veggies and started feeling queasy. 🤢 I took an antacid tablet and managed to keep it all down. The next day I ate 2 of the leftover thighs and immediately felt indigestion. I took another antacid, but it didnt help. My mouth filled with saliva and I threw it all up. 🤮 It was definitely a bad batch of chicken. I didnt want to risk it again and tossed the last 2 thighs in the trash. Then that had to be taken out to the dumpster because it stunk horrendously. Now Ill never eat their deli fried chicken again.Gotten expensive and overpriced. The only time I can afford to shop for some things here is when theyre on sale or on the clearance rack. Plus cashiers are always haphazardly (mis)handling my produce items, causing them to be bruised and damaged.

Dont ever dispute a charge with their online chat team. Wasted 20 minutes and she finally said go the store. They must use foreign chat rooms because her reading comprehension was awful. She should have said right from the start goto the store. Ill never get those 20 minutes back 😁

We get our baked and fried chicken from their deli. Last evening our order when I got home was not good. The baked chicken was over cooked and dry. The fried chicken was alright. Their deli chicken here is normally pretty good. Not at all this time. 😠👎🏾😝

Kevin, who works here, is by far one of the hardest workers I have seen.Hes very kind and speedy at the register. I hope he knows he is appreciated.I like this grocery store for the amount of room in the aisles.The selection is great.The prices are variable for those with patience to wait for deals.If youre not happy with the produce, just ask for help.The deals are in the aisle next to self checkout.Thats when you left with 10 items and came in for 2.The Self checkout area is spacious. Super easy.Tina is always 😃 smiling and helpful.She is delightful managing self checkoutKeeps all the alcoholics out of the self-checkout area. 😆

Wonderful staff that welcome you by name. They obviously have great management and training because the store is spotless, runs efficiently and is well stocked. With a fresh produce, baked goods, deli, and a butcher the variety is above board. I would recommend this location to friends and family. Blessings in Jesus Name.

Great location and selection. Shopping is easy and convenient except in the morning when its the busiest right before folks go to work or school. The express lanes and self checkout lanes are closed. These need to be open so people can grab and go. Nobodys trying to do their whole house shopping that early in the morning. Everybody needs to be able to get in and out quickly.Update a year later: this continues to be an issue. Long lines with one register open at 7:45a. I have 2 items and cannot get out in under 15 minutes. Self checkout needs to be open.

This is my Neighborhood Grocery Store! The employees are great here. I use to live in Escondido but moved closer to the water because of the heat inland. Although, I stayed in Vista because of the store. I have to be happy where I shop, and I dont have one complaint in the last 6 years I have lived here.

I was there to pick buy a cake. Was awaiting for about 10 min and asked the people on the meat department if there was anyone working on the deli department. One of the workers was super rude and just said no with no other explanation. One of the other ladies working there told me she would help me, just to give her a few minutes. She did and she was super sweet.

This place is great if you like buying expired food. I’ve been here on multiple occasions where I had to dig through expired food to find items that were still good. On one occasion I let a worker know every single item on the shelf was expired and he just shrugged it off. I wish this place was better but I’d honestly rather drive out of my way to go somewhere where I don’t have to constantly worry about buying expired food.

Used to be my favorite store. Id going in daily sometimes. Parking is easy, a little over priced but fair. Quick in and out to pick up the couple items I needed. Then they took out the self checkout. So now this store which is ALWAYS busy. Always has a crazy line. Never enough cashiers, and the ones they do have are completely frazzled and complain about going too long without breaks because theyre always busy. I used to love this location because its literally a minute away. Now I avoid it whenever possible and regret it as soon as I have to wait over 15 minutes in line.

Such an awesome store! I dont shop here as much anymore since I dont live up the street anymore, but I still like to stop by occasionally mostly to say hi to the employees! Ive been an avid customer here since...oh...probably 2012 and Ive rarely ever had a bad experience here. Probably the worst experience Ive had was with the bathrooms haha. The selections are always great and prices are decent if you can get stuff on sale (which is pretty often). The employees are awesome, always friendly, and always willing to help! We went to this location as its convenient for us since its between our parents house and our place. We went to get salmon from the meat dept and asked for our salmon to be cut into 4 big pieces since we were buying a giant piece. The guy at the meat dept was lazy and played dumb like he didnt know what cutting salmon into 4 pieces ment. How can they let peoplelike this work here? Albertsons always stuck me as a higher tier grocery store with people who are very helpful. Lately that hasnt been the case, before this it was the person who handles the money orders who was extremely rude to my wife one time. Guess Ill try the sprouts across the street or stater bros down the road. Super disappointed.

Very bad experience at Albertsons Vista. This is our 3rd time shopping using their online app which never worked. Incooperative cashiers which somehow made us felt bad for holding the line, since the either app or entering telephone number didnt work. Ive lived near this Albertsons for about 18 years . I only go there when I need a last min item or a ingredient im missing or to rent Red box movies. I wish it was a cheaper store in that spot or that Albertsons was cheaper to shop at. Every single thing there costs more then other stores and it adds up. Its always clean and well stocked but still not worth the high prices. I just dont. I rather drive a little further & shop at Walmart or Grocery outlet !

I love this store and the people. I rarely ever had a problem with their food. I love the variety of choices at all levels. Their produce is fresh. Its a neighborhood store where you get to know the clerks by name because there isnt a high turn over rate. With 3 kids its hard to grab everything and make sure your getting the best bargain. There had been countless times in told of a bargain Im missing out on because I was to wick to rush in and out. Honestly they should bring back self checkout. I get that some people didnt know what they were doing and tended to need more 1 on 1 assistance however for the most part everyone else appreciated self check out. The part that really gets me is the checkers never call for help when there is a line or maybe they dont consider 5 people in line with their baskets half full much of a wait. But while shopping around the store you see more than enough employees that could help. I can never find a supervisor or manager when i need one... and no they are not in the checkstand.But the store is very clean and stocked they have a large selection of products and the produce is fresh. The meat department always has whatever is on sale and ive never had them run out.

A once-fine store that has been mismanaged into the ground. Nice people, but that only goes so far. Over the last year, the lines are about three times longer than they ever were. And since most things are at least 20% more than other stores, thats not going to cut it. Three times in the last week I grabbed a cart, walked in, and immediately left when I saw lines winding into the aisles! So, thats a good 800-1000 of my money they wont be getting and I know others who feel the same way. Its really shameful and there was no reason for a once-nice store to allow themselves to fall to such depths.

This Albertsons has its moments, not all of them good. Take today for example, the white bearded guy needs to learn some manners. I was trying to get in line without noticing that they had a central line. The gentleman said, Maam the line is over there. I told him that I had tried to get a cart because my arms were full. Their self service registers do not work. And when they do not work, the employees try to blame you. I was just in there scanning and bagging, scanning and bagging, scanning and bagging and suddenly I get an error where I need assistance. The lady comes up and tells me that I put something in the bag that I did not scan. That’s basically accusing me of theft, and then she wants to tell me I’m rude by my reaction? Seriously fix these things. THEY. NEVER. WORK.Or, how about this… Hire enough checkers so your lines are not wrapped all around the aisles.

Albertsons here apparently doesnt take Android Pay anymore. Any notice? No. Thanks Albertsons financial department.They dont have baskets at the entrance I normally use (its marked entrance, not exit. They removed the self check out and ever since I have had to sit in much longer lines. Im sure there is a business reason for removing the self checkouts but the lines have happened 2/3 times I have visited since.

Only bad thing is sometimes not enough checkers oh im sorry there is one other thing or person I should say I never remember to get his name and always avoid his line after a negative experience but he is very distinct he has long white hair and I believe wears glasses. One day I came in and he gave me the ugliest looks because I used wic coupons I know its time consuming but I had everything separated and ready to go and he looked at me like I was below him. It made me feel bad im a new single mom n just had my baby 2 months ago at the time so wic helps I shouldnt have to feel ashamed. Made a bigger deal that it needed to be over Kombucha. I did not know that the grape flavor had alcohol in it. My mistake I’m 19. But the two ladies at the register continued to verbally assault me asking for my ID and refusing to comprehend my mistake. “IT SAYS RIGHT HERE!” Well sorry Karen I just saw the flavor and don’t read ever single ingredient. Do not shop here on a sunday unless you are looking for expired or near expired food.I have been shopping here every sunday since moving to the area 6 months ago. I always shop sunday as I work monday-friday. Every single week i am running into issues (chicken,beef, pre-made Sandwiches). I have been shopping at albertsons in other areas for over 20 years with no noticeable issues but this location is bad.

Albertsons has a good share of the grocery stores. They tend to be high priced, making it my 1 or 2 item store. They do own the Lucky stores name. They should use it in low income places. Lucky was known as The Low Price Leader .

As with most Albertsons, it is extremely expensive now that vons and Safeway are all the same company, Albertsons and Safeway used to be fair priced but since Safeway bought Vons and Albertsons, they adopted Vons/Pavillions extremely high prices. Even Ralphs is cheaper on a lot of items.
