This 5 star review is based SOLELY on the performance of Crystal and Pedro when I was checking out on 2/14/23 around 2 pm. I recently had an experience where no one was willing to help me, but Crystal and Pedro reeled me back in. They made sure to take care of me in finding a way to resolve my issue, chatted with me while scanning items, and made the experience feel friendly and welcoming. I will return and hope to see them again when I shop!

Its pretty huge for an Albertsons, and I like how clean and organized the place is. There were only 2 lanes open, but as soon as they saw the line get longer, they opened another cash register immediately👌🏽

I work for instacart and these employees see me daily. Things were fine I got along with everyone until one day and since then they follow me into every single aisle I go to as if I’m stealing. Meanwhile there are people actually stealing but they are too focused on following me that they don’t even see what’s going on in their store. Like yeah someone stole alcohol and ran out but sure follow the instacart worker 🤦🏻‍♀️

I want to give a shout-out to the bakery. I have bought 2 custom cakes from them, and let me tell you! They did not disappoint! I use to go to a regular bakery they got too expensive. Here they made my cake exactly how I pictured it! They taste and quality 100%. Everyone complemented my cake of how good it was. 10/10 to the bakery people! Keep up the good work! Will definitely recommend people and definitely my new bakery! 5 STARS! 👍🏻👏🏻🌟

Adding new update chicken prices for family packs... Each family pack went up $10... Best market to shop around. Clean... Neat... Organize... Cashiers are very polite. Normally go for the fried chicken party pack. 50 piece chicken is the way to go for a gathering of 15 guests & price not to bad.

For the past 7 years this has been my local grocery store, Its clean, good prices, good customer service, good parking and they used to take apple pay /tap pay, but now for the last 3 trips I made to the store I am forced to transfer funds to the a different account because the apple pay / tap pay doesnt work and i am required to used the actual card, such inconvenience and pressure while paying. No Albertsons for me, I dont like to carry my cards .

This Albertsons is always clean and the people there are really nice. I love how I can go there and it’s never too crowded. This is the place where we go to get the $5 deals. Also I get the 5 cases of sodas for $1.99 each.If you need a place to stack up on drinks and juices and some junk food they got good deals on Wednesday’s.

3/2024I still shop here regularly because Marco (manager) always makes me feel welcome and makes sure i find everything i need. In addition Marco goes out of his way to make everyone’s shopping experience a very pleasant one. His great smile also perks up everyone’s day as well.The customer service here is awesome. The pre sliced fruits and vegetables are not only delicious but make eating dinner after a busy day at work more of a pleasant experience.

Very polite employees and customers. The environment was very positive and respectful! Im so used to Food 4 Less and other polite stores, but I have to be honest, Albertsons beats them all! The employees are very helpful as well. It was my first experience ordering a turkey dinner and the young woman in the deli was so courteous and helpful too. The store was excellent and clean. Awesome 👌!!! The prices were a little more higher but acceptable and well worth it for the great service, environment and people around me. No negative energy whatsoever! There is plenty of parking space, including accessible wheelchair parking. For those who do not want to shop in store, they do have curbside pick up. The store is always clean. The hot food is fresh too. They also provide a friendly customer service.

I am leaving this review because of the superhero who saved the day, Raul, at the Albertsons on Firestone Blvd in Downey, CA. Yesterday, I purchased a variety of chocolates and flowers for my wife. I got home, and my wife saw the receipt before she saw me. She was surprised and happy that I had bought her orchids. I was like, yes, I did. Here you go!! Feeling great that I hit a home run, I gave her the flowers. To her surprise and mine, she pointed out that the flowers I handed her werent orchids. However, I was charged for my Daisy flowers and $30 Orchids. I called the number on the receipt and waited 20 mins before getting rerouted again to the same answering message. Finally, a lady answered. I wish I had gotten her name. She was accommodating as well. She told me they would check the camera and leave a note for the morning crew.The following day I get there at 7 am, I walk up to a cashier counter and meet a friendly man without a Superhero cape but a name tag saying Raul. He helps me with one refund, then points me to the counter for my Orchid refund. Here, I wait again for someone for about another 20 mins. However, around every 5 mins, while rushing out the customers he has in his line. He kept coming out to check on me and to see what the hold-up was. I had a meeting and couldnt wait much longer, but the fact this maskless superhero kept coming out to check on me was something else. He ultimately stepped in and got the green light to refund me himself because the lady yesterday did leave a note after checking the cameras. It could have been the couple behind me that had orchids. Either way, I am happy. My wife still liked her pretty flowers, and I met a guy who could probably leap over buildings. In this case, Raul saved me half a gas tank worth of cash and a lot of time/stress of figuring out the next time I could come back to get this resolved. Im so thankful he stepped in as many times as he did. Thank you, Raul!!

Right now there is some interior construction going on but was very clean still. It was still a very pleasant trip. The produce guy was very nice and insightful about the veggies (sorry I dont remember his name). The cashiers were nice and very quick (I had a careful of stuff, surprised how fast I got out). Store has great selection for specialty diets.

The place is organized well, has some stuff that other groceries store dont have like for a example I like cooking Chinese and Japanese food they had all the ingredients that ineed it. I was pleased and happy because all the asian stores are a bit far away from South gate. The veggies look fresh and the vibe around the store was friendly 😌 i recommend you guys to shop in the store.

This supermarket is probably the best one I went too. It may seem like a regular supermarket but what I love about Albertsons is that they make their bread fresh everyday and their deserts too. I went by the frozen counter and noticed they had people making hot and ready foods and got their fried chicken 8 piece for exactly 5 dollars. I didnt think much about it and thought it was regular chicken but the chicken was really good. It may not be like target or Walmart but Albertsons is a supermarket I recommend you going too.

As I pulled into the parking lot, I was looking for parking spot. The parking lot was full of shopping carts blocking the parking stalls. This is ridiculous.The store is spacious and stocked. I found they stock a wine I havent seen in a while. Thank you!! The self check out was closed and long lines were bad.I hope they fix the parking and self check out soon.

I usually give high remarks, but this time was different. I ordered a grocery delivery in the morning.The delivery was confirmed between 8pm-9pm(a $9.95 charge). Come 8pm,nothing. Come 9pm,nothing. I called store,it took about 20 minutes to get through to manager. It turned out,the person handling my delivery left home at 8pm. I had to drive down to store to pick-up my delivery. I asked for refund on delivery charge,but manager said he couldnt do anything about it. I remained patient through whole ordeal,but it was a pretty messed up experience. I hope they get it right next time.

Update two days ago I received an offer for 8 pieces of Deli fried chicken for 6.00, I clipped the offer that was good till the 20th which was today. I got there at the dinner hour 5:30 And once again no fried chicken, this is three times this has happened. So the assistant manager I made a complaint to and she offered me some other chicken which was chicken tenders for nearly the same price and that was a mistake because the chicken tenders must have been sitting up there all day they were dry and hard as a rock. What a Huge Disappointment with Albertsons Deli counter. Shame !!

Always have the freshest seafood more than any other store. Clean store with the nicest people. One walked me around 3 or 4 aisles looking for roasted garlic in a jar. Didnt find it but it felt so good that he was going the extra mile to help locate it.

This location has been actively and knowingly selling expired baby food that has probably been there since before the pandemic. We purchased some last week and we didnt realize it was expired until after we were feeding it to our 8 month old that we noticed he wasnt eating it. We smelled it and we almost threw up. This was only one pouch out of like 6 pouches we purchased that time. Fast forward to today we went to buy the same food again and every single piece of baby food was expired!! They brought more food from the back and almost all of it expired in a week or two. It is evident they are still selling old food that they probably had deom before or the beginning of the pandemic. Someone has to put an end to this outlandish behavior.

Heard they were reopening, went Thursday waited till 8 p.m. so would not be crowded, the store looked the same, things were moved around, things looked new, found great deals went for the special on ground beef but there was none, but got everything else I wanted There was only one checker open but as soon as they saw 3 people waiting they opened up another one so it was fast and the employees were very friendly and helpful. If i need a good cake Albertsons has always been a good place for one. This store is very clean and produce looks fresh. Flowers are such an added bonus. You can even score some Halloween decorations or some nice looking pumpkins. As for the cakes, I was surprised to see a yogurt mousse cake. I bought it because my daughter, whos birthday i was celebrating, is not a sugar aficionado. So I thought Id sacrifice myself. Surprisingly, the cake was very good. Will definitely be visiting the store for our future cake orders.

I love Albertsons!! I love shopping there and the most important thing to me is, not just the food and the quality of the food, but its the quality of the customer service given! Bradley was my cashier, and his hospitality was impeccable!! The staff at deli was extremely nice and helpful. The cashier was also great. She immediately called for a 2nd cashier when she the woman after me was super impatient. I visited this location to order a Keg and the clerk told me to call another person later that day. I called back and turned out he was off that day. It wasn’t urgent so I called the next week and he was off again so I spoke to Jackie (Manager) who ordered it for me. She let me know that I’d get a call to let me know it has arrived. I called in today (9:38am) to inquire on it and was left on hold for 7 minutes. I hung up and dialed 0 again for the operator. They let the phone ring until 9:56am and I didn’t hang up because now it’s about the principal. Someone answered and since the person I’m supposed to speak with isn’t there (again) I asked to speak to the manager. I mentioned them not answering the phone and she said “sorry”. I don’t need a speech but at least sound genuine or try to sound like you give a damn about your customers! If I didn’t need it for tomorrow I’d just leave it but this is the last time I shop here. Newsflash Jackie, States Bros is on the next block! Ralph’s is further down the street. You’ve got competition around but wait you’re not the owner so why would you care? As soon as you step in you see the great selection from produce to flowers not to mention the pharmacy and my favorite section the deli and hot food counter. They have large aisles with a vast selection of good i tend to lose myself in, everything is tidy and organized another reason why i come here. I had pretty low expectations for these Downey Albertsons, which I stopped at because it was on the way between Long Beach and Los Angeles, but I was impressed enough to write this review. It was much bigger than your typical Albertsons, with a full pharmacy. The bathrooms were spacious and well maintained. The parking lot is also very big. Brightly lit.

My experience today at your store was very disappointing I went through the line the cashier her name was Ruby I presented her with a coupon for a roasted chicken and she said she couldnt accept it for example through it was a free coupon that they sent me in the mail for I just moved into the area I had just come out of church and I told her to call the manager on duty so I can talk to him she told me she was a manager I said to myself what kind of manager did not know how to write this coupon it took her around 7 minutes to finally accept the coupon and I didnt want to hold up the line and I had another coupon if you spend $25 or more you were able to get $5 off the total for I was a neighbor to give her the coupon or I just wanted to leave at that time I will never stop by your store in Downey Id rather drive further down to Montebello that was my old store better customer service better management you need to retrain your manager Ruby to deal with the customers and have better customer service

On a busy, New Years Eve, I was able to locate the Black Eyed Peas easily, and a Ham Shank for flavoring the traditional Peas for New Years dinner. The long lines moved quickly, as most shoppers had only a few items, or like myself, I had 3 items. I forgot to bring a bag from the car, and the cashier gave me a free one. It was tough and the flavor now is so weird. They changed the flavor to something that tastes orangey and weird. I hate it. I dont know but can yall do something about this. I love the checkout staff here both the cashiers and baggers are always friendly and extremely helpful. However recently, and in my opinion a poor management decision, Albertsons has decided to removed the self checkouts. I used to shop here a lot more but forcing customers to wait in a long line for 1 to 2 items is ridiculous!!

Id give it a 0 star.. The bakery and Deli horrible. I came in to order my sons cake for his party next week there were 3 people behind the counter none of which asked if I needed anything I waited about 15 minutes moved to where the pre-made cakes were when another customer came up and was immediately helped. When that customer left I went over to see if theyd finally help me and nothing. So I went to the deli and the same thing people working but not one of them acknowledging customers. Ive been here a few times and always good customer service. Except for today the two employee in the chicken area were really rude especially the guy making faces when he was asking me questions and having attitude.

Love this store, but I give it 4 stars because I went there for a metallic helium balloon that was 14.99 for just one ballon, I choose it from a sealed package the employee inflated it for me but as soon as i got home it was deflating, soo sad because i bought it to gift it, and for 14.99 it was so disappointing, next time 99c store for sure .. btw party city down the street was closed alredy an albertsons was my only option.

I use my phone number to register my rewards points bonus program. The system went as far as to texting me to finish registering... And didnt get the discounts. The cashier looked a little bothered to rescan everything since my phone number wasnt working, even though I had a confirmation. I could have used the rewards for my gas I use at Chevron. Bunches always been my preference dot-dot. But Albertsons is equally as clean and good price drops if you are reward program number. Just make sure you register before you get to the cashier

The manager is HORRIBLE. When I tell you MEAN, theres two guys that are Managers in there, and one is worst than the next. One is more rude than the next. I will never shop in there again. The place to visit for, well, everything!!! Made a special stop for the big game. Stocked up on Chicken Wings. They have a little C.W. bar. Got us some premade potato salad, some salsa and guacamole. A couple packs of chips. Some Hot Dogs and Buns. Got us some Valveeta Cheese for nachos. We also did some light grocery shopping for the week. Albertsons is the spot for some great buys.
