This is for bakery. Ive been buying cakes there for years. This week I ordered a cake. I wanted a certain style but she acted prepotent and wanted to do it her way without my choices. Even the time i asked for the cake she made a fuzz about it and wanted it at a later time than what I choosed. She needs more customer service skills

Everything I wanted was in stock. They have a great sale with buy 2 get 3 free 12 packs of soda and there was plenty of it. The store was clean. There were only a couple of registers open but it wasnt very crowded.

Great place to shop. The deli section is good. I would recommend coming to this store. They mostly have everything I need, but somethings can be pricey. Other than that, I will continue shopping here.

Albertsons is my local grocery store and most of the time it meets my needs. I just want to preface this review is ONLY for the bakery and my constructive criticism and feedback is for management of the bakery section. The quality and presentation of your cakes are BELOW SUBSTANDARD. Something this poorly put together should not be gracing the counter of the pastry case. Here is one example of a photo I took. This cake looks sloppy, unfinished, and honestly completely unacceptable. Prices of food are increasing and patrons should not be paying more for such poor quality.

Grandson bought a 4 pound tritip today. One half was fat that was hidden by the styrofoam. Really a bummer since it was obvious the butcher intentionally hide the fact that this expensive cut was actually double the cost through waste. Albertson’s made sure the wasted fat was paid by a customer.

Union has no control over behavior of employees . Smug, rude, disrespectful, only saw a few adult tenured employees who understood professional union grocery store attitude . Seemed to be trying to be productive and positive despite the rest of the young haughty borderline almost dangerous union staff . After this shopping experience I am convinced that if the union in charge of its horrid employees, for which the their union is responsible, does not educate said employees, this very nice store with its extremely sweet and nice and pretty and friendly manager lady, I feel sorry for HER, .. AND the tenured union members who understand professional courtesy and friendly service in a grocery store, .. idk, .. just to bad seeing people slamming down food boxes on carts, sweepers who look like theyre going to push you over with the broom checkers throwing around your food at checkout sling bags like its worthless garbage, offended that I asked for EBT bags as well as using my teacher girlfriends reusable bags and then trying to cram, the bagger that is now, cram all the food into one Albertsons bag, pathetic, I had to ask the cashier, are you union . Ya . Older tenured employees versus young people who are driving away 10,000$$$ a day minimum of will not return, nor willl I, customers . Union is supposed to make a better employee . And such a beautiful store for the union to ruin .I remember when the grocery union was held in high regard . So its come to the . Disgusting .Sad for tenured employees and sad for super sweet manager, Sunday afternoon, December 3, 2023 .And the neighborhood deserves better . Might be theyre all wanting this store to close . Make a person not trust THE FOOD SAFETY . .When my dad founded a federal law enforcement union, members were held accountable . . To bad, I will not go to that Albertsons again . I think I had the same experience at Albertsons Eastlake AND springvalley . MUST BE A SUPER TERRIBLE UNION !!! . not accountable . ruining their own future earning potential . Store closes too early at 11. They allow repeat visits by random derelicts which makes it feel unsafe.Faith is a strange bagger who doesnt put all items in bags until asked twice. There was no reason to keep those items unbagged. Store fails to order paper bags.

This place is terrible. I had been on the road for 9hours and stopped here a few min before closing to get my 8 week old puppy food. The young man at the door was nice but then I had the security guy in my face we close in 2 min. Then the rude cashier said the same thing as the first two people. Yeah ok I’m not dumb I’ve worked management retail for over 20 years and I get it you wanna leave on time. 3 times I asked where the food was so I could get it and go. You wasted time telling me you were closing. Pointer- listen to your customers so they can get it and be out. Very unprofessional and I’m glad I don’t have to visit that store again!

Do not even bother purchasing a cake from the bakery or just don’t get one made for you the premade cakes looked alright. The ladies seemed careless and didn’t take pride in what they do. I ordered a cake for my best friends birthday and it looked so sloppy. The cake wasn’t centered on the cake board and it looked like it was leaning on one side. The handwriting done was horrible. The first time they showed it to me the lettering wasn’t even centered on the cake. I asked them to re do it including the writing and it came back centered but her handwriting; there was just no saving it. I ended up telling them to wipe it off and rather take my chances writing it my own. I know supermarket bakeries probably aren’t the best places to get a cake but I was hoping for atleast a decent cake. I would never buy a cake from there again.

Every time that Ive came inside this location to use the restroom, they always look like this. Manager or no one at this store knows this contractor custodian. EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS.⚠️ I almost hurt my hand & there was no one inside cleaning at all. Spoke to manager Stephanie Thomas and she doesn’t know Anything about it. Very unprofessional. A child can hurt themselves here.

My family and I, went to our favorite store Albertsons and vons, this time we went to Albertsons around 10:30pm August 03, the weekly ad has spacial on the can soda buy 2 get 2 free with no limit, and these is the main reason for our weekly groceries shopping, we had around 20 cases and some other things, we headed to cashier, first I heard from the cashier with bad attitude, ma’am you can’t buy all these drinks, these are limit of 4 only, I said no, i showed him the weekly ad that no showing any limit, he said we only let people buying 4 cases only, and because he is the manager, I said No sign in paper saying that and he didn’t want to respect the weekly ad, the ending we didn’t buy anything because the when he treated us, no sign, no respect the weekly ad, because he is the manager of the store is verbal word has the right, and made me embarrassed infront of many people behind me and my family, after we drove to Vons 620 Dennery Rd, San Diego, CA 92154 has no issued with the limit on the can soda they do respect the weekly ad.

However, when we went up to check out our cashier was on her phone snap chatting the whole time. I picked up my daughters birthday cake and was extremely disappointed at the terrible cut out job they did for the top design sheet. It was also not completely pressed onto the cake, I flattened it to see if it would look better but it didnt. The side design sheets were also not pressed onto the cake completely. They offered to add a new design sheet, I waited 20 minutes after I was told it would take 10 and I got my cake back. The design sheet was beautiful, a perfect circle cut out this time and completely pressed onto the cake. I took it home only to come to the realization it said BAPPY BIRTHDAY with a B! 🤦🏻‍♀️ EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! Bakery needs a better lead and someone whos actually passionate about making and designing their cakes. I definitely paid too much money for the quality of cake.

Unacceptable. Front end on auto pilot. Two regular check stands open. One waiting for a manager override. Only three of six self checkouts open. Two of those are waiting for customer service as nobody is staffing SCO. So of the five check stands open only two are operational and nobody is responding to the three that are requiring service. Lots of choices these days of where to spend my money. Think it’s time to start looking around for other options.

Walked in inquiring about a flu shot because there was nobody there wanted to take advantage of my lunch break, the Lady said my insurance covered and started to process paperwork and said it would take 5 min, 40 min passed, two people arrived and were helped and still nothing I was just standing there. Asked again and she said my son had his insurance terminated I had to call my insurance and they confirmed everything was ok.. someone else helped her and was able to process. 10 more min passed and nothing yet! had to leave... No lunch.. no flu shot just a waste of time.. I dont want to think how long we would have waited if there was actually more people there...Terrible service

Love this bakery and must force myself to avoid it. Most times I fail and succumb to their treats. The bakery should get 10 stars. If you need additional help you should always ask for Porsche she is the best baker there shes phenomenal and she just does excellent work on those cakes and cupcakes and she knows whats in stock and whats in store I just love Porsche. I love this Albertsons. Good meat department. I like their brands the Signature and O organics. Staff is mostly friendly and helpful. The location is convenient with plenty of parking. When they can barbecue outside its so good. Someday it would be nice to put a coffee vendor in again.

I have been a loyal customer of Albertsons for several years so now its time to offer some constructive criticism. To begin with, I purchased a package labelled as containing eight pieces. of varied chicken parts labelled as containing eight pieces. When I got home there were only seven pieces. Honestly, do customers really have to start counting to make sure theyre getting what theyre paying for? Speaking of prices, many items are either not labelled or stocked in the wrong place under the wrong pricing information. When I asked for assistance regarding product and price, one of several explanations I was given was that customers were often to blame because typically put the item back in the wrong place looking at it. Amazingly, as a last resort always blaming customers for putting the item back in the wrong place always works! Seriously, how can any item be displayed without pricing and/or be stocked in the wrong spot under incorrect product information when your shelves are often sparsely stocked??? Finally, your purpitedly discounted bakery goods at the rear of the store still remain significantly overpriced compared to Ralphs discounted bakery items which ranged in price from $0.25 to $0.99. Albertsons on 3rd Avenue & J st has all the foods I was Looking for. The Deli section & hot foods is outstanding. The Bakery section has fresh goodies daily. Some grocery stores I dont care for but here the staff are friendly. I LIKE THAT. No matter day or night they are well stocked. Always find what Im looking for. I dont care for Ralphs just uncomfortable at anyone of there stores, but Albertsons feel comfortable

Terrible service in the meat counter. There is a lady there who makes it difficult to order or ask for anything. She not only makes it difficult but notices that you are there and completely ignores and hides in the back. When she finally comes out to help she makes it unpleasant because you are asking for her help. We complained to the store manager and she went and had a word with the lady. As soon as she had a word the her, the lady from the meat counter felt she can confront me and my husband and gives us attitude because of her attitude. Rather than apologizing she continued muttering words under her breath. Me and family been coming here for years. Unfortunately because of the harassment we won’t be shopping there anymore.

Great produce, baked goods, meats and the best selection of plants and flower arrangements Ive ever seen. A very nice young man, Nick, was directing traffic (the line of customers) which went pretty fast and I was able to get in & out fairly quickly even though it was pretty crowded.

I love this store! The butchers are super awesome and the store manager should be proud to have them. Produce department looks like a commercial, everything is stacked so neat and perfect, Id have to say the best produce department in south bay hands down maybe even all of SD. Frozen foods and cold cuts, well done, deli department is great too. Bakery is why your missing one star, I walked in and asked one of the bakers about a cake and before I could explain what I wanted I was snapped at. Do you want the cake today? We dont DO same day orders. OK well all I wanted was a plain round white cake with some black icing to make a clock cake. Nope! Didnt even want to hear it from me. Might need a little help with the customer service in that department. You should be proud to shop there knowing the manager is doing his best to make that store the best shopping experience.

This place is great! Very organized and has almost everything! My favorite thing is the DMV KIOSK they have as soon as you enter. Say goodbye to the long lines at DMV, you have to take your renewal notice and ATM credit card, no cash! You scan the bar code on the bottom of your renewal and then enter your card and it will give you your renewal stickers once payment is processed, It takes no more than 3 minutes. My favorite invention yet so far! Makes life easier, the fee is so little, less than $5. Time is money, a whole day at DMV or visit this place, get your tags and then shop!

Albertsons is a clean, convenient store. The prices are a little higher than other places, but they have weekly specials and a section with discounted, close to expiration date products. Well located on Third Ave, the bus stop is right there and its one of the few stores where you can purchase a bus pass, until a certain hour. It has plenty of parking space, as well.Update: Albertsons maintains its very good reputation! One of the good points I like the most its their convenient hours of operation. When everything around are close, Albertsons is still open with a vast and different kind of products.

They offer a bunch of random household items that are not just grocery food related items. They have other products you would normally need to go to a Walmart or Target to purchase. It proves to be quite convenient for a one stop shop if you have limited time or transportation to hit up other stores for your needs. Would be a 5star, except for some customers. Dont care about distancing (I had one guy walk right up to me and start loading items off the shelf right next to me. I asked if he was close enough, but he ignored me.) Others dont mind the one way aisle markings and leave their carts in the middle of the aisle while they browse the shelves. Albertsons employees, however deserve all 5 stars.

I sometimes get frustrated shopping at Albertsons because they no longer have their customers utilizing a discount card for deals purchased in the store.What they have now are offers such as, the regular price of the item is $xx.xx BUT if you buy 5 of said item its like a Dollar cheaper.Case in point. I had on my shopping list, Popcycles. Well, there was the brand and flavor I wanted and for one box it would cost me almost double what other stores would charge me. BUT, if I bought five boxes it would cost me what other stores normally would charge and I would have five boxes..Thats all well and good BUT seriously, what am I going to do with five boxes of popsicles with 20 cycles per box? Plus the freezer space it would take to store then all. They would last me through the entire Summer, into the Fall. BUT, the thing with popsicle is, sometimes you want a little variety and having 100 of the same popsicle will get a little boring after a while ❤️

Products are often past their expiration dates! I bought a half gallon of milk and didnt check the date. When I opened it a day or two later while on a camping trip, the milk was sour! I checked for a date and didnt find one on the jug. Somebody at the store knew the milk was expired and therefore removed the expiration date. I have bought other dry goods here that were of low-quality and obviously out of date or not fresh. The store is very ghetto and the workers seem to be of a lower caliber than, say, a Trader Joes or a Ralphs. Ive been to other Vons locations where none of these issues have occurred, so I think its only with this particular location. Avoid this store at all costs!

Whenever I need to go to Albertsons this is my go to. Well I should say WAS. Today I went with my mother and I know many if you will talk bad...but we went to do our usual grocery shopping and decided to use my WIC. I have 4 kids at home, fyi. When I arrived to the register I asked you guys accept wic? She rolled her eyes and said with an attitude yeah I first put in the WIC items and the stuff I was going to pay for last. She scanned the yogurt, and said this aint WIC she then scanned the cheese and she said the same thing. Every WIC item she said it wasnt an item. I asked her can you tell me which ones again with a snarky tone well I cant tell you that dont you have the app I informed her I did and I have shopped using WIC before and these were the brands I would always get. And I tried showing her the app and she wouldnt look and said well do you want to pay for it or notI know I probably couldve and shouldve asked for the GM. But I didnt have the energy for an argument. Never have I experienced such attitude at Albertsons. I work just as hard as anybody else. I work hard and continue to go to school full time.i try my best to provide to my kids. But when someone like this judges you without knowing you....they make you feel so small.I try so hard to always be positive no matter how hard life gets. But today that wasnt the case, it really brought me down. I guess Albertsons or at least this one judges you the moment you walk in the door and doesnt want people like me?

They had a sale on water for their $5 dollar Friday special. The price was 3 cases for $5 and it was worth the drive to buy. Its a donation for the San Diego homeless. Sunday morning at approximately 800 am exiting the store after paying from my things which were in the crate I use every time I go there, a lady singled me and my son as we exited the store with our crate and purchased items. The store alarm had not gone off and the only reason to stop me and my son is because I am Hispanic and she assumed I did not pay for my items. Her name is Mary. I told her I wanted to speak to the store manager and she told me she was the manager. I told her that the store alarm did not go off and no one has ever checked me and there was no cause to stop me. She said she is only doing what she is told. Is that was Albertsons tell their managers. She said Costco does it. Costco checks everyone and she did not check the people leaving the store immediately behind us. Racial Profiling is not acceptable in Chula Vista and it SHOULD NOT be acceptable at Albertsons. I dont shop here often. Its out of my way. Its a bit pricey.I had ordered a cake and went in on Sunday to pick it up. They had sold it. I decided to forget about the incident becauae things happen. So I went and grab one already done. I had asked the lady who is in the bakery if those were all of the cakes she had. She said yes only the ones she pointed to. I picked one up and then cpntinued to search for more pastries. I then found another section with a bigger selection on cakes and cupcakes itold het about it and she gave me an upsetting look and rolled her eyes. I asked if it was too late to exchange the cake she then gave me another disappointing tone. I went and still looked around for employees to help me pick up a few more items. Saw none in sight and made me way throughout the rest of the store. Came back picked up the cake. The lady was so angry with me when she had no reason. I told the cashier at checkout and she said. Ohh ok well thats not my department and ok whatever. I am still very upset. After they sold my orsered cake, the lady refused to sell me the cheaper one and gave me looks practically not caring about the incident. I shouldnt have even bought anything after they sold my order.

This review is for the online ordering of cakes at Albertsons. I ordered a cake in advance by two days and when I went for pick up they couldnt find my order. When I told them I ordered online they said thats why it wasnt there! What??? They said theres a glitch sometimes with the online ordering. This is not acceptable. I went into Albertsons a couple weeks ago for flowers and balloons for a family party. They did not have the balloons I was looking for, but it turned out fine. I found them somewhere else. However, I was extremely happy with the amazing customer service I received from Rita with the flowers! She really went above and beyond what I expected, all while being so nice and understanding. I only go here because it is right next to my house. I like Albertsons stores and their value, but the Chula Vista location is VERY VERY poorly run. They have signs everywhere that state threes a crowd if you see more than 3 customers in line we will open another register but they never EVER do. Most everything I needed was there. Only down side to this place is the prices. They jack the rates up on many items, especially from the in-store CVS. The prices for cold medicines were positively extortion.
