This place is huge I cant believe this store is comparative to Costco but not with the membership fee... well there is a store membership and if you have a phone number connected to your account you do get a discount on some items. I strongly suggest you use the membership because thats a discount usually on top of a second discount. they have a wide selection of cool seasonal items such as Oreos in different flavors and potato chips with different colored bags. I guess I was hungry when I went thereI didnt have anybody greet me when I came in the store nor did any staff member ask me if I needed help finding anything and I was wondering for quite a bit because I was hungry. My cashier not any type of memorable. Wasnt excellent service nor was it bad service just flat.

Love this store - very clean and organized, with lots of product variety. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they have always been able to help me find the weird, obscure products that I sometimes look for. They really have it all! The online Albertsons App is great too, and if you subscribe to it, you can get some incredible deals and digital coupons. Thanks for always being such a reliable and wonderful store :)

Generally, on Monday during the late afternoon, the store is basically empty, and checkers are plentiful.There are always shelves that remain somewhat empty, and many products are low in quantities available. Supply chain has not recovered since Covid, one reason Costco, 1. 5 miles away is so popular.Pricing of items is high unless you belong to Albertsons digital coupon program. No, thank you!Numerour self checkout lines are excellent for quick and efficient checkout.The avality of above average alcohol selections was a nice surprise.

I tried to call and ask about a wine. After answering, I could hear them asking another associate if they knew anything about wines and since they didn’t, they got back on the line and pretended like they couldn’t hear me so they wouldn’t have to deal with it. Pretty disappointing since there’s no way to check without going there. It doesn’t work on the app. But they could have just been up front.

As a member of the lgbtqia+ community I usually use the mens bathroom to not cause any problems. But the mens bathroom here is broken and it was an emergency. And the manager Ken and the young girl who works at the self checkout line refused to let me use my genders bathroom for no reason. I have shopped here for months and I have been treated so poorly today I will be shopping at Trader Joes and Ralphs from now on I will also be contacting corporate about Kens terrible customer service.

I stop by here sporadically because theres a recycling place right next door and its on my way home from work. Today is Mothers Day and Im a caregiver to a woman (who is also a mom) so I just stopped to maybe grab a card and a small bouquet of flowers on my way to work today. I found an adorable plant for only $10 plus they were dipping giant chocolate strawberries so I grabbed a 4 pack (2 white and 2 dark chocolate) for $5.99 which I thought was a great deal. She was very happy with the plant and berries. Also the service here has always been very friendly and fast.

I love coming to the store, everything is clean, organized and the staff is extremely friendly. The selections are great, and their florist department has helped me and my wifes relationship immensely. LOL! selection is reasonably priced, and the quality of the meat is very good. Beautiful clean well stocked store. 2 star rating due to no carts in corral at either door. Had to use a hand held basket. My bad shoulders made this difficult. At checkout I asked for 2 free bags because of no carts. She said that she could NOT give me 2 bags. Bummer, just lost a customer!! Back to Vons!!!

I went here the other day to grab a few items. I was in and out really fast. Even when the store is busy you can get out of the store pretty fast. The produce section is huge, and the bakey section is huge to. Once you learn the store its pretty easy to find what you need. They have a Starbucks in the store, so if you wanted to grab a drink you can do everything at once. Also, they have a flower shop in the front with different prices for flowers. I have been coming here for years. No complaints! A good store, good vibe and a they have a good selection of items.

Stood in line at self check out only for people to later stand in a different unmarked spot. When we went to check out we were told there is only one line and got sent behind the people who arrived after us. When a machine opened for us an actual employee just walked past us briskly with his head ducked down and began scanning his own items and ignoring us.

This was absurd! Absolutely stupid. First off I walk up to the chicken case and this older couple walks up shortly after and somehow they get help before me. Okay no big deal…BUT TAKE 10 mins plus (because I left) is ridiculous. He didn’t even acknowledge me smh.Then some skinny older white lady looks at me and just says “cake?” With an attitude and i just said oh no I chicken and she points go over there like come on. I know you guys know how to do customer service better! All I want was some darn wings. I couldn’t be any more disappointed!

Staff are generally always helpful. This is our regular grocery store so everyone knows us. The lines can get long but the cashiers try to get through everyone as quickly as they can without rushing them. The store is generally clean and well stocked.

I had a very special young man named J.J. an employee who was out in the parking lot collecting carts help me load my 24 pound frozen turkey into my car from the cart. He then offered to also load my three 12 packs of soft drinks. Then take my cart and return it. This was such a kindness and very appreciated.

Large store with exceptionally large selection. Typical Vons prices reduced with club membership and other online discounts before you shop. Starbucks inside at front. Fresh abundant fruits and vegetables. Deli with bakery and usual selections. Frozen and fresh meats. Well stocked and large selection of other items in the aisles. Plenty of chilled dairy products. Overall and excellent place to do you shopping.

I am 11 years old and I went to Albertsons with my mother. Classic La Mesa Albertsons. This used to be my local Albertsons when living in La Mesa before moving to San Carlos. I usually have a very good experience here. I found everything I needed. Service at the register was good. But the bagger was a different story. A bunch of things stuffed in one bag. As if she really didnt care. I hate to give this place a moderate review. But this place definitely needs to train their baggers a little more. Maybe this is a generational thing. I dont know. Needless to say once we were putting groceries in our trunk, we had to reconfigure everything. I usually like this old time local store.

Very nice store but you cant take your dog inside even when you carry them or put them in the basket! Other stores seem to allow that but not this store. I was confronted by the Mgr. and told to get your dog out of the basket and the store. He is a small dog and didnt do any barking or growling. I was shocked at the way the man treated the situation! However, that being said; it is a good store.

They never abide by their three is a crowed rule, and are way too busy trying to seem like the friendly neighborhood grocery story, chatting people up to actually keep the line moving. I frequent this location quite a bit because I live in the neighborhood and typically the service is of quality. Lately, I have noticed a disturbing blatant difference in how a manager, Rosie interacts with the younger baggers. I literally watched her give a young girl who was bagging at her check stand a death stare then rolled her eyes when I complemented the young lady. I don’t know what Rosie’s problem is but it’s highly unprofessional to display such an ugly attitude to your teammates. It seems Rosie doesn’t value her employees because she had an abrupt response when the girl asked to take a break after working for several hours. Someone needs to report this manager for violating employees rest period rights and taking advantage of minors. I wish I remember the baggers name to encourage her. definitely hope this reach the store manager

Excellent customer service. I ordered a cake for my best friend birthday, when I stopped by to pick up my order, I figured out that there was a misunderstanding of the pickup date. However, the guy named Fidel, worked at the bakery was very kind. He immediately called his manger named Tony, the manager decided to give me any size, any style of cake for free. I really appreciate this outstanding service, that shows high responsibility towards their customers. I totally recommended Albertson bakery for amazing taste and wonderful customer service. I have purchased from them for years now and never once was I disappointed.

I wish this wasnt the closest place to me. The produce is never good. The lines are often pretty long and the cashiers almost never follow their own 3s a crowd protocol. They just ignore it.On top of all this the prices are pretty high compared to the Vons thats a 10 minute drive away. things go on sale but their sale prices never dip as low as the nearby competitors.I give a few stars because the place is kept clean and the employees are nice. Also there is almost always meat on clearance so if youre trying to get bulk steak at a cheap price (sometimes even grass fed stuff half off) its good for that.Bottom line if I didnt live so close I wouldnt ever go.

I dont go off to all the time but since I go basically shes the one thats downtown San Diego I just get on the bus route and ride my bus all the way down here get off the bus walk across the street and Darius my grocery store Ive been going to Albertsons and the years now that is connected LeBron OS even better cuz the sandwiches are delicious but you can find unusual things you cannot find it any other stores like Food 4 Less does it sell the unusual stuff like this little jars all of the pickles and incredible soft chicken is really good the gigantic sandwiches are really good too we just have a lot of unusual food there if you cant find any place else they are a little expensive but theyre worth it

Service is friendly, quality is high. So are prices, usually, unfortunately. If you watch their flyers and shop with coupons you can score good deals. That being said, theyre not my first stop shop despite good service and high quality.UPDATE: Prices in Albertsons stores has become much more competitive. (Not including the produce, meat or deli departments - as a whole, unless there is a special promotion on something, they to be higher priced than most). They are also the only store I can count on to consistently keep Balance bars in stock (also Tigers Milk bars) - which have the best flavor of the many varieties of energy bars out there, while maintaining value pricing - they are frequently offered at promotional sale pricing making it economical and convenient to stock up.

Modern, clean, and well managed. Spacious. The usual selection for grocery stores like this. This one is owned by Vons. No bike rack. Close to the Trolley and many apartments as well as highways 125 and 8. It is in a shopping center with a small number of other businesses. It is off the path of the riff raff and therefore probably safer than stores just south and slightly east nearer to El Cajon Blvd. and SDSU. Not too crowded. Parking lot is well designed and has ample parking and larger than usual spaces which make it a more pleasant place.

Conveniently located, just off the highway 8 and 125 interchange, and almost directly across the street from grossmont center and the trolley. This is a clean and well maintained grocery store, that is also host to a US Bank, located inside the store, which is very handy, especially considering theyre even open on weekends.

Albertsons always seems to be better than the Vons in La Mesa. They just seem to have higher quality meat even though they are the same company now. Maybe the butchers just take more pride in their work and make the same product look better.Albertsons loses 3 stars because of my last experience ordering a birthday cake. They completely forgot to write Happy 5th Birthday on it. They did remake a cake but not the cupcake cake I had ordered. My daughter was totally bummed she didnt get the cake she really wanted.

Good Alberstons, has everything you would want in a grocery store. Only complaint is that the prices inch up but the sizes of the products I buy seem to be shrinking ever so slightly. Its like the food companies are playing tricks to keep us from freaking out about prices going up really fast. Ever notice that a bag of chips looks the same but whats inside is less but the price is the same or went up $1 or 50 cents. But its either that or buy in bulk at Costco and hopefully half the stuff you buy doesnt go bad or stale because it takes half a year to eat a bag of pretzels the size of your leg. Yes zip lock bags work great but its a pain and who really needs that much pretzels? Sorry for the rant but its a great Albertsons! Very nice people who work there.

I go here because it is right on my way home from work. The store is a little less friendly than my local Vons, both owned and operated by Albertsons. What concerns me more is its clientele, La Mesans are apparently less concerned about the spread of Covid-19. Several patrons refusing to wear masks and a table with Republcan Womens Club members sans masks as well, just outside the exit. Politics sanctioned by management?
