Nice store, small to medium size. Lots of stock, lettuce was okay but it looked like the water sprinklers werent working (a little wilted), service was wonderful. Be aware and look around for signs about buying alcoholic beverages in the self-checkout (you cant!). Oops...

I went in to charge my phone and then do a little shopping. The very first thing that really caught my attention, how much cleaner this store is compared to other Albertson stores. Then two girls went in my line of site. Each of them was pushing a dust broom.Every employee seemed very pleasant and approachable. If im down here in this area, I would go back again and again. seems to me it has a very good management!Nice work Albertson manager.. Your efforts show!

I like this Albertsons. They have very fresh produce and everything in their deli is freshly made at a prompt hour each day. The customer service is pretty good and the place is kept pretty clean. The prices are a little steep but if you want good quality then Albertsons is the place to get your groceries.

Poor management and training. The cashier, Oscar bagged my hot items with COLD items! What do you think his response was when I pointed that out? Do you think he apologized then corrected his error? NOPE. His words... you got time. I then proceeded to correct his mistake and re-bag my groceries. And thats not all!... This man rushed me... as I started re- bagging my groceries, he started ringing up the next customer causing our items to pile up! Its was a very uncomfortable situation. And here I thought I had time... Oscar needs re- training. In fact, the entire store could use re-training. This was not the first instance of improper bagging practices. Folks here just love bagging hot items with the cold & fresh items. Its weird. Its strange.

I stopped here to do a quick little shopping before heading home. I ran into these drawers which were hard to find that it is. But we were the only ones left in the store. However since they were not in the system or could not find the price, the cashier would not sell them to me or even ask the manager what the price was.

Theres a new guy named Victor that is awesome. He moves fast and is extremely friendly. He tells me about products that are healthy for me. Like adding coconut milk and water to my smoothies. If theres no one to assist in the liquor area He helps me get what I need and always asked customers for their ID. You made a good choice by hiring him. He clearly loves what he does.I now always look for him when hes working. Thank you Albertsons for this new addition to your staff.

They have a good selection and overall good staff. The pharmacy employees as well as the store employees are largely personable and friendly. I really like their clearance options, which allows me to try new products. The real issue is the lack of staff, which seems to be a corporate issue. If you’re going shopping, you probably will have to wait in line for as long as the time it took to find your items. If you only want one thing, this is not a good store for that because you’re going to waste a lot of time during checkout. I don’t go during peak hours, but it’s consistently an issue. It seems like there probably is a higher rate of shoplifting in this particular area and there are no self checkouts. However, the corporation really needs to get more employees in the store so that more cash registers can be opened. Raise the pay, whatever it requires to get this a fully staffed store so the employees who are working aren’t subject to the abuse of irrational customers who blame them for their wait times.

Pretty weird pharmacy I heard they play games with you, but I gave them a try anyways and I regret it. I will stay with Walgreens I dont care how far I gotta drive the customer service will be worth it compared to this place. No wonder - I cant wait til they all lose their jobs and the pharmacy closes just like Walgreens across the street. It is coming trust me that Albertsons has so many slip and fall lawsuits its not even funny.

It is really expensive compared to other stores and the people that work there are rude and act like they are doing you a favor for them to help you. The people who work in the pharmacy are unbelievable they lie about everything and they have a male pharmacy tech that is so RUDE AND LIAR and the pharmacist let him do it. I had been using the pharmacy to get a product and now I cant get it any longer. They dont have as many customers as they use to.

I personally like the people that work there. Direct and professional. I mostly go there for customer service, just make sure to avoid going during their scheduled lunch or you will be waiting around on your feet for a little while.They get a bit busy but are pretty darn good at doing their jobs so lines move at a nominal pace. Restroom sees a lot of people and they get dirty at most times of the day.

Probably the only grocery store in this area of Bakersfield that has some higher end products. Good selection of meats and cheeses at the service deli. Decent variety of meats and seafood at the butcher counter. Regular prices can be a bit higher but they always have good sales for a lot of products so you can find everything you need if you grab an ad paper on your way in. The current staff there is also amazing. Super friendly and will go out of their way to help you.

We stopped at the deli to get the scrumptious and savory fried chicken dinner w/mouthgasmic potatoe wedges and Kings Hawaiian sweet rolls. A perfect meal for 3 adults right at $20.00 The fried chicken was on point! Hot, fresh, greasy and moist. Wedges are the closet to the old Shakys wedges from years ago. The lady behind the counter was fast, friendly and accurate. Wonderful job Albertsons deli!

Very friendly place..clean. your in and out not them long lines.. but in the deli department theres a Caucasian man between the ages of 45-55 has is on prices.. I go in Monday to get six chicken tender $9.46. I go in Tuesday I get the same thing he charged me a dollar more $10.46.. and the tenders were small. Came in Wednesday same thing $9.46.. I didnt want to say nothing yesterday who they going to believe a black woman or a white man but its not right and he pushing some button and charge me extra dollars..

What Walgreens didnt have my prescription they were out of my medication and wasnt going to get it for another 5 days so I went to Albertsons went to their drugstore on the inside and no problem at all right through I got my medication but my medication is mandatory I have to have it and Walgreens didnt have it at all said be a week before it comes in and I got her done at Albertsons thank you God bless.

To be honest we shop on Albertsons regularly even though the prices are a bit high at times. Especially with certain items.Now, today was a bit disappointing, the produce was not up to par the strawberries were molded and in the meat department there was some very grey old stakes. I was a bit disappointed today but overall its a great store and the people are nice.

The people are friendly, it isnt usually too crowded. Its great for their chicken dinners (come with sides) that you can get in the deli department. Also have a seafood department. However, throughout the store things can be pricey compared to other stores. But they do have good sales pretty often.

Absolutely terrible, I was trying to order some baby back ribs at the meat counter and the lady was so rude i was dumbfounded. And as she was close to the meat and treating me like trash she refused to wear her mask appropriately. She actually said it was better if she let her mask hang under her chin. I asked for the manager, she said he was not available. I tracked him down and additional employees apologized for her, said she was under some stress and had issues. The management was very kind, however, if Im paying Albertsons prices I except great customer service from all employees. This experience really ruined my day.

Going into albertsons is like a flashback to child hood. Im 52 now & the store feels exactly the same as when I was 10 yrs old. Its hard to find things. It took 4 employees & multiple attemps to find bacon bits. The prices are very competitive & the employees are super friendly and helpful. If I was a regular customer, the store would be easier to navigate.

I stopped in at Albertsons because I was in the area to shop for a gift and needed food. I was able to pickup some snack items and my favorite Simply Lemonade. The staff is great, the store is clean and beautiful. I was in and out in a short time and on my way to my next adventure.

I drive over to Bakersfield for medical appointments, was early so took advantage & stopped by. Took one look at this Produce and thought, I wonder if it looks as great up close as it does from entrance door?? Well, I was even MORE pleased the closer I got! We must get the end of the line produce in Ridgecrest (where I always shop at Albertsons and live at. The Produce guy greeted me, we sparked up a nice conversation while I picked out my apples, persimmons & avocados. He introduced himself, (I wish I could remember his name, something like Marquee?? Im 60 y.o. so cant remember). but he was so nice & said he would remember my name. I told him I would be shopping at this store from now on as it is worth it as I come over once or twice a month anyway. He does an EXCELLENT job making the Produce look FABULOUS!! Nice clean organized store! I look forward to shopping here. A lot of Ridgecrest people drive over to shop at Costco, but I am single and cant justify shopping in such large quantity. Besides, I enjoy Albertsons games, coupon deals, etc. God Bless Albertsons! Keep up taking care of us.

Just another typical shopping experience in the hood, first, my shopping cart was taken with items inside while I was checking prices on other items, I turn around and it was literally gone, then checker named Tony and his bagger were very impersonal, no greeting or acknowledgment of me whatsoever, the exact opposite of the way they treated the caucasian woman before me and my food items were shoved across the counter while they were discussing their break times. If not for their convenient location I wouldnt shop there at all. The prices seem very high compared to Albertsons on the West side also...

I asked the pharmacist if I could wait for the medication that my husband needed really bad she said ok I waited 2- hours I asked when was I getting the meds she said its not ready. I went in to get some WIC items and a few groceries. Checked out with who I guess is the store manager Dan. Once I scanned my Wic card and was given my remaining total I thought it was a bit high so I kindly asked him what items did the wic card cover for, he rudely told me to look at my receipt and didn’t bother to help me understand the charges. Once I got to my car I noticed that the Just for U discount did not get applied so I decided to go back in to the store. After waiting in line once more, I explained to him that the discount was not applied. He very rudely told me to show him my Albertsons app to confirm I had added it to my basket after I showed him it was there and showed him a picture I took of the bar code. He made me go and get the item and to wait back in line a third time. His body language and face expression made me feel like he was extremely bothered to help me. He was so rude made me feel embarrassed the way he was talking to me in front of the other customers and the employee bagging my items.I didn’t notice until I got home that a juice and cheese was not covered by the the wic card, I would have liked to been told so I could get the correct items. Now it’s too late since my wic expired that day. I don’t feel comfortable to go back to this store after this experience.

I mean who DOESNT love a good trip to Albertsons? As soon as I walked through the door a man followed me in solely to compliment me on my braids. Predictable, consistent product placement facilitated my mission to find the vegan ice cream that I came late this evening to purchase. It was too expensive. I bought it anyway. The delightfully cheerful, though somewhat bashful cashier told me I was an inspiration to her as a fellow tall woman with a presence. As I approached the automatic doors to exit a man stopped me to ask how tall I am.61, I responded.He smiled and said, Im 63!I said, Well it looks like we have something in common, dont we stranger? Our pants are always gonna be too short!So I left Albertsons and hopped on my Kawasaki feeling like Xena, Warrior Princess and vroomed home like a super hero to eat my spendy ice cream...I love Albertsons!

I was in Albertsons one day the employees was having a problem with someone this person they were having the problem with punched me. I let it go and walked out of the store the manager insisted that I returned to the store. I did return to the store he had me wait outside for what I dont know eventually a police officer arrived went inside I waited, the officer came outside told me I had to leave I tried explaining that I was there waiting for the manager because he called me back I was on my way home, the officer put his hand on his gun and told me go home or go to jail, he did not pull the gun just put his hand on it. and now every since that happened I am treated like a criminal for shopping in the store. I do not have transportation to go to another store which are miles away, this store is in walking distance of my home. What I do not understand is why am I treated like a criminal when I am the one that was assaulted on their property, by someone that they was having a problem with?(P.S my main problem is why was I called back and what was the officer told about me to make him have that attitude and action?)

Late Review:I came to this Albertons twice and I forgot to check in once. The first time I came was to buy some fried chicken. My cousin-in-law ordered 30 pieces of fried chicken and 4 liter sodas.I cant remember the total but my cousin said it was a good prices for everything. She said they usually buy fried chicken here instead of KFC because it comes out cheaper. The fried chicken was good.The second time I came was because they have a chase ATM inside the store. Unfortunately, it was out of order when I got there. I needed the cash because I was on my way to the swap meet and there was no ATM inside the swap meet.I asked a cashier (an old white lady) if I was able to take cash out. She rudely said, Yes you can, but you need to buy something. Than she rolled her eyes and walked away.Obviously I knew that I had to buy something and there was no reason for her to roll her eyes at me. I was so lost to why she was so rude to me.I bought a water bottle and a chocolate bar. I noticed she was as a cashier in one of the lines. I avoided her because I didnt want no drama and I was furious.I wanted to speak to her manager, but my cousin-in-law was waiting for me outside in a hot car. I decided to let it go. Unfortunately, I didnt her name.This made me decide on the two stars. Yes, you made this store get two stars. Thanks for hiring someone with poor customer service.They have a huge parking lot and you will find spot. The store was organized, but Im still shocked at the way the lady treated me.

I live close to this albertsons so i have to come here often since i also use there pharmacy. The place is clean, the staff respectful. The only problem i have is the prices and also one of there loss prevention people. He creeped me out bad cuz it looked like he was making obscene gestures. My 5 year old was with me so it really bothered me. I let the manager know but he didnt look concerned.

This is a very clean store and the employees are friendly and helpful. The downside is their prices are considerably higher than some other grocery stores such as Food Maxx, Winco, or Walmart’s Neighborhood Market. This store is more of a place that I go to out of convenience and only pick up a few items. Definitely not where I go to do the bulk of my grocery shopping. Although this is not really the stores fault but I occasionally will ride my bike since it’s so close and I normally only pick up a few items. Well on my last visit my bike was stolen off the bike rack which was locked. The bike rack is in a dark and hidden out of view place which makes it easier to cut a lock without being noticed. Miraculously my bike was recovered a few days later which is mind blowing. But they could possibly relocated their bike rack or light it up with some security lights.

So I went to buy a cake at the bakery, when I first arrived there was no one to help me so I figured maybe they are in the back mean while I was standing there and waiting for someone to help while every single employee that worked there around that area looked at me and didnt try or ask to get someone to help me . 15 minutes passed and the line grew longer so the meat lady I have been staring at me not asking if I needed help finally paged someone after I asked her . Long story short the manager was paged and he came over to help in a very rude way, by first not washing his hands😐 packaged my cake wrong and was rude the entire time .. just an awful experience and I will never go back to that store again !!!!

Now dont take two stars as an absolute bad rating. As Americans many of us are concerned more so with price and cost than they are with how nice and pleasant the staff can be. Every store has their bad times or days but overall most of the higher 4 and 5 star reviews are based upon how they were treated. Being far more pragmatic, Im concerned with cost of food and by in large could care less about the staff. Which by the way WinnCo further down Panama Lane are everybit as accommodating as Albertsons. Not to mention the price of products is a good portions less at WinnCo than at Albertson. Usually I will find a receipt will be roughly 50% higher from Albertson than from, again, WinnCo.Even after Albertsons came back to their location they sold then bought back (Panama & Wible) they raised their prices on everything roughly 5% to 7% which is silly. Also their Ads never have anything we eat or use like they use to have five plus years ago.But if you have large families and buy 5 boxes of Cereal at a time then the prices are reduced a lot making the purchase a deal. So unless you have a large family with 6 or more kids and family members at home then. Albertsons is worth it. If its just a small family, forget - people a grocers are nice all over.
