2023-12-08 10:18:50This is my girlfriend favorite coffee place in LA, I’m from Italy and I was visiting her and she wanted to let me try it as well. I have to admit that this place is great and coffee very very good!l and their croissants as well! Vibes are great and the atmosphere as well, nice interiors and wide backyard next to the big parking lot where people can work and enjoy a chat under a tent. I’m looking forward to go back there when I’ll be in LA again!

2024-02-26 15:28:06Such a cute and tiny little coffee shop with great coffee and pastries. Ordered a Nutella croissant and it was really nice. The seating is limited and the waiting area can get cramped, but overall I love this cafe and am looking forward to returning.

2024-06-01 21:56:53First time here in December 2023: see below for reviews. The cappuccino was five dollars ($6; including tips). Cash was acceptedUpdated in January 2024: see below.Thank you for consultation on the variety of loose teas on the menu here. I ended up getting a cappuccino because my specific taste in tea was not on offer.I was very happy with customer service nevertheless.

2023-08-05 22:19:18Coffee at Alana’s is decent, the drip blend starts out mellow and nutty but ends on a more sour note as you get further into the cup. They roast their own beans in house though so it’s nice to know that the brew is fresh. This location has plenty of parking both on the street and in their dedicated lot. Not only is there lots of parking, but the actual shop itself has lots of sitting options from the front patio, to the inside, to the back patio area.

2024-03-24 19:03:54This has become my happy place for so many reasons! From their delicious coffee to the dreamy atmosphere and friendly service, Alana’s offers a place of solace for both working as well as kicking back. Featuring their roaster in house for all to enjoy, the passion for their craft is undeniable. For being such a popular spot they manage to encompass a small community feel simultaneously. The coffee is on point, not too bitter, no nasty after taste, beautifully presented and prepared, and consistently flavorful. You can enjoy their coffee at home with their bagged options they’ll ground on the spot for you to prolong freshness, not to mention to the optimal specifications for your coffee making method (again, passion for the craft).Every experience here is a delight, so sit inside and vibe or take in the beachy air outside, and enjoy some terrific coffee or tea!

2024-02-27 02:18:14We just got coffee and tea. I didn’t see any food. Funky charming atmosphere outdoors back from the street. A bit crowded.

2024-06-21 00:45:01Ordered a Cortado and it was one of the best tasting coffees I’ve had. Also purchased a bag of their espresso beans for my home espresso machine and they were very good. Bonus points for serving my Cortado to go in a 4oz cup instead of throwing it in a half filled 8oz cup.

2024-04-28 19:16:20Best coffee shop around the area that you can get work done that also has a community atmosphere. That’s what I’ve been looking for, neighborhood coffee shops are supposed to make you want to stay and hang out, and to bring the community together. Just wished there was more indoor tables but it’s LA so space is limited. Back patio is very cute but can be a bit chilly to sit out there for a few hours for most of the year

2023-12-09 21:17:02Only come here if Coffee Connection is full. The coffee shop as a physical location and decor has charm. Sadly, that is where the charm ends. The customer service is lacking. There is a bit of entitle barista attitudes here as well.Feel free to give a smaller tip to the barista as that I believe that they are clearly used to it in their surely sort of behaviors that are given to me as I entered. When I arrived, I waiting for my order to be taken until the barista could finish his conversation with another barista. Additionally, when I asked for clarity on a menu item I was blankly stared at and did not get a response. I repeated my question again, “Excuse, what is the Piratate’s Chai, exactly?” I didn’t get an answer back for a second time. Which is strange to ask a person a question twice and to get a blank stare in return. I then simply said to the barista, “May I have a Pirate’s Chai, please?” he then rang up the item for me and I paid with a card using the front facing payment machine.I was coming here to do studying for my finals in college. The cafe, Coffee Connection, is just a block away and it was completely full. Seeing that this location was nearby, I came hee. As I sat at a table, I saw that there was an outlet nearby. I plugged in my computer to charge my compute. Soon after they turned off the electricity to the outlet. And without mentioning anything about it either.Additionally, the Pirate’s Chai is a mixture of Matcha Green Tea and some chai with milk. It was okay but not worth the $7.00 in price. This is a come and go location. They don’t seem to prefer or appreciate people who come here to study.TL;DR - This is just a fast paced cafe where you come and go. Don’t stick around. Don’t expect kindness, eye-contact or conversation. It is just coffee and it just money and it not much else here. I sat for over an hour and witnessed the same sort of behavior by the same barista towards others. Skip this place.

2023-11-16 06:22:17Coffee 10/10Vibe 12/10Service 10/10Coffee is the best I’ve had in LA. I’m personally a fan of darker, bolder, earthier coffee and this doesn’t disappoint. Pastries are pretty good as well. The vibe in the back is amazing especially if you appreciate plants and ample seating!
